Megan Fox on her pin-up status: ‘I enjoy it because I know I’m not a stupid girl’

Here are some photos of Megan Fox at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles photocall in Berlin, Germany over the weekend. From a distance, in the full-length shots, she looks great. In the close-ups? God, Megan! She was such a naturally pretty girl but I really need her to stop messing with her face. It’s crazy. Something nice: her newish haircut looks awesome. This is her best hair in years. As for TMNT, it’s a massive hit already and it hasn’t even opened wide all around the world. Megan Fox is back, y’all.

Now that Megan is “back,” we’re obviously going to be reading more classic Megan Fox interviews. Back in her heyday (2008-10), Megan gave some of the most ridiculous interviews I’ve ever seen from a young actress. To be fair, she didn’t have a filter and it was fun to dissect her more idiotic statements. And to be fair, she seems to have grown a filter in the past few years. Motherhood chilled her out a bit, as did having her career kneecapped by her big mouth. Anyway, Megan has a new interview with Loaded Mag. Some highlights:

Her spirit guides: ”It makes it impossible to view yourself as a victim in any circumstance because you understand you chose it or it was chosen for you by spirit guides and there’s a reason for every encounter and opposition. You’re meant to benefit eventually but you have to be aware because that helps you learn the lessons so much quicker. Otherwise you’ll walk in a circle and find you meet the same types of people and make the same mistakes until you address it and transcend it.”

Does she feel self-doubt? ”At times. But it’s not part of my daily existence. Meditation is something I do to stay positive. If you stay positive with your mind then inevitably you will attract positivity and the times I’ve faced the most adversity in my life, it wasn’t actually from outside forces. It was things I brought into my own world from my own negativity.”

Being called a MILF: “I enjoy it and embrace it. I think it’s actually part of my personality, part of my essence and my being is that sort of pin-up image and I enjoy it because I know I’m not a stupid girl and I don’t have to solely rely on that. I’m aware that being clever and a pin-up makes me dangerous and I enjoy that.”

Teaching her sons about her hotness: She wants her sons to learn “sexiness doesn’t mean you’re stupid or vapid” and she explained: “I don’t want my sons to grow up and think there’s anything wrong with that [being a pin-up] or that women should be underestimated for something like that.”

Her past of saying stupid crap: “I don’t regret anything because everything I’ve been through was absolutely necessary to get me to the point where I am emotionally and spiritually. I have to learn those lessons. Maybe my life would’ve been easier at that time but I would’ve encountered another challenge that was maybe even worse. It’s taught me a lot, to temper myself and to temper… what you call outspoken, I call courage, but it needs to be tempered. You can’t be like that all the time and that’s something you learn as you get older.”

Her parenting style: “Sometimes I’m like a hippy granola parent in that I’m not giving them television, or computers or cell phones because I think we live in an ADHD culture that’s spurred on by the constant use of electronics. In terms of being strict, not at all. Like I’m going to be really liberal and lenient. If they want to have girlfriends, they should bring them right on over because kids are going to do what kids do and I would rather that they do it where they’re safe at my house rather than at someone else’s place where they could get hurt.”

[From Loaded via The Mirror & Contact Music]

Megan also says Brian Austin Green is more strict with the kids and he’s something of a clean-freak who “walks behind me, dusting after me wherever we go.” Which is kind of cute. As for the other stuff… I don’t believe she meditates to rid herself of negative energy. I think it’s just that she’s a mom now and she’s already lived through three years of career readjustment to finally eat s—t and go back to Michael Bay and beg for a job. That kind of thing will make you Zen about your life. As for her sons being comfortable with her MILF status… whatever.

On a superficial note, she used to be so pretty. Her cheeks look so painful to me, like they could split open at any second.

    • emmie_a says:

Her face in general looks painful. She looks good but all that work has really aged her.

And I think her hair looks ok because she’s not wearing a ton of extensions.

    • HBIC says:

Her face… WTF?!?!? So sad what she’s done to it.

  2. Charlotte says:

I actually find Megan largely adorable. I hope Brian treats her well, because there’s been so fire smoke about him and their relationship. The following her around dusting thing is uncomfortable to me. When my partner has the day off, he gets really intense about cleaning, and I find it stressful. We have three kids and I am always tidying, but he wants the house minimal to the point where you can’t even see traces of the kids. It’s too much.

    • black orchid, says:

me 2 , she was likeable and hot ,i miss he onscreen hope she gets some good projects in future

    • DrM says:

@Charlotte I can relate to your experience with partners and cleaning intensity…. My husband is alot like this as well. I adjusted my cleaning so that it is now REALLY farking clean and he has learned to live with my clutter. This wasn’t without pain…one Saturday morning when I was drinking my coffee (not a morning person) and trying to wake up he started pointing out to me all the cleaning that needed to be done…(he included himself in this equation as a cleaner) but I lost my rag entirely. Like leave me alone mate while I have my coffee!!! He didn’t do it again…. lol

  3. Allie says:

I like her. I think she’s gorgeous and can be hilarious at times.

  4. Leftovers says:

I do think she has meditation down and uses all the right words about positive/negative energies. Not that there is one right way of saying this, but it makes me believe it is not just PR jargon. She does sound altogether a lot more aware and responsible.

It is a shame she is still messing with her face, though, but at the end of the day, everybody has their own demons to fight. It takes time to conquer them.

    • qwerty says:

Yeah, I do believe she’s into meditation etc and surprisingly gotta say I see nothing stupid in her interview. Not just compared to the sh!t she used to say either… it’s a good interview.

  5. Courtney says:

Her previous plastic surgery was amazing, but I think girlfriend took it too far.

  6. Lauren says:

I can somewhat relate to her, if I were famous I’d find it hard to be all diplomatic all the time too. However, I would not say stupid sh*t about spirit guides and Marilyn Monroe.
Her nose looks a bit better here. I do not get the extremely defined cheekbones. Maybe she got them throughout weight loss and age, maybe not.. Either way I prefer a softer look. A dark espresso hair color would suit her better than this jet black.

  7. Mop top says:

Well, I’m glad she thinks she’s still pretty. The work she’s had done is truly disturbing, but as long as she thinks it looks good that’s all that matters.

  8. Nene says:

I dont know how to put this and it wouldn’t sound offensive but I think Megan is starting to look Asian. Her eyes are smaller, same with her face and her cheeks look weird.
I thought platic surgery is supposed to make people look better than they were naturally but when I see celebs like Kim.K and Megan i shudder. Not to harsh but these two were gorgeous before their PS and now look like mannequins. It’s crazy.
On a good note, her body looks so good, like totally smoking. And I like her outfit.

  9. Kitten says:

Her face is so harsh-looking. She’s really lost any softness she had left.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Yes, she’s very artificial looking. She might want to teach her son that looks aren’t everything, not just that being beautiful doesn’t mean you’re vapid.

      • kri says:

It looks like she is going to KK and Naya’s PS. Whoever it is should have their license taken away.

  10. HBIC says:

As much as I like her… she really does try very hard to prove to everyone that there’s more to her than her looks. Her comments just reek of insecurity.

I hate to say it, but if she had a bit more acting talent/on screen charisma, perhaps she wouldn’t have to wax poetic about how not stupid and “smart” she is.

With that said, I still like her and I hope that she’s able to keep a career going in H-town for as long as she can.

    PS – Everyone should meditate!

  11. Fred says:

    So very pretty.

  12. polyphonic pickles says:

Egh, her face makes it hard for me to believe her claim to not being stupid. Which also is not a diplomatic thing to say and I would come off terribly if I was famous.

There is a great book by Lisa Guernsey about screen time and children under the age of 2 that I totally recommend.

  13. Size Does Matter says:

Good grief. So far this morning I’ve read abou Megan’s spirit guides, the wisdom of Lochte, and naked baby Jonas art. I need to go back to bed.

  14. otaku fairy says:

I never thought of her as stupid, just as someone without a filter. And I agree with her about the physical appearance and stupidity debate. Intelligence, talent, and other qualities aren’t things you can prove or disprove by beauty or physical appearance choices. Either you have it, or you don’t. The ‘so-and-so looks like this, so they must lack other things’ argument is fallacious and usually just a catty attempt to either shame someone for their personal choices, use someone else’s name to draw attention to yourself (when celebrities do it to each other), or just a sad demonstration of ignorance and intolerance on that person’s art, rather than a valid argument.

  15. serena says:

    She’s still saying stupid crap.

  16. alison8701 says:

In that first photo after the article, she looks like Benedict Cumberbatch.

  17. Annie says:

I’m actually liking Megan more and more. She seems open minded yet intelligent – a bit lacking a filter and gaffe prone but I’d take that over all the overly contrived ‘I say whatever the lowest common denominator wants to hear’ celebs. I’m not a fan of the botoxed to the hilt look, but I guess it’s her face, so whatever.

  18. kimberly says:

    ilove her and her family!!

I do believe she has grown a lot as a person since she first was noticed 🙂
