Kristen Stewart has been in NYC this week to do promotional work for Clouds of Sils Maria and Camp X-Ray. A few nights ago, she wore a J. Mendel minidress that I didn’t really love but didn’t completely hate either. But for the past two nights, Kristen has been representing her Chanel contract and she wore some interesting Chanel looks. First up: this Chanel Fall 2014 dress which she wore to the Clouds of Sils Maria premiere at the New York Film Festival. I really, really like this. This is a great dress for Kristen in particular and in general, for any starlet. I’m loving the fact that long sleeves seem to be on trend this year and I just think “black with shiny metallic details” is a great look for her.
Kristen’s other Chanel look came on Tuesday, when she did a “Meet the Filmmakers” event at the Soho Apple Store. The event was for Camp X-Ray. This Chanel look was from the Spring 2015 collection… I’m not a big fan. It’s like Karl Lagerfeld was trying to do deconstructed, high-fashion overalls and it just looks… dated and weird. Meanwhile, everybody’s talking about how Kristen seems pretty relaxed these days. She doesn’t seem to have any romantic drama and she’s supporting three films she believes in. Sources told E! News that K-Stew is “in a really good place right now.”

The first one looks like RoboCop and Snow White had a tawdry affair and this dress is the result of that tryst. When I saw the second dress, I immediately imagined Christopher Plummber singing a dirty version of “Edelvweiss”.
I totally lost it with edelvweiss. Laughed so much.

Don’t like either at all, the second look is definitely the worse one though, it doesn’t even look like something you could force me to buy from Forever 21.

The too black hair and outfit do her no favors, way too severe for such a lovely woman.
I like the dress actually. Its almost like KK is trolling Marchesa/Georgina Chapman with his “this is how you do ice skating costume turned high fashion dress, peasant” and I love it! The second outfit is horrible.
The thing that stands out the most to me is what appears to be a legitimate KStew smile! She really does look genuinely happy.
The black dress immediately reminded me of one of those French maid outfits – apron and all. It’s all I see.

It took me a while to realise she is with Juliette Binoche in the second picture, talk about bangs trauma! She is such a beautiful woman but that hair makes her look like a rather severe headmistress.

Love the dress, hate the small boys uniform. Im all for long hair on myself but that haircut is great on her.
Re the first- the length is a good one for her, but way over-embellished. All I can think of is the saddles the horses wear in the Rose Bowl parade. The second is just abysmal.
Juliette needs to have a sit down with whoever cut those bangs- unless she’s playing a monk from the Middle Ages in an upcoming film.

I think the first one looks striking and glamorous on her and the second one would probably look awkward on a lot of people but on her it looks kind of tomboyish and a bit … punk. I don’t know… The skirt is a bit strange, yes, but all in all it’s looking nice, I think.
I also think her hair is great these days. Juliette Binoche’s not so much. Ugh.

I like the first dress, hate the second. To her credit, she looks way happier (saw pics of her with a huge smile in one article) and more relaxed. She’s always going to be awkward, but she comes across as less awkward as of late.

Man, this is going to be a long Oscar season. I’m already sick to death of seeing Kristen and Ben Affleck everywhere, and we’ve still got a long way to go before the nominations.

They’re not back, they will never be back. Jumpsuits are back though, so not everything from the 70’s is forgotten.
I love the dress on both women. And the both look happy. I wonder if Kristen regrets having her hair cut for her last movie? I loved her long hair, but she looks beautiful with short hair.
She looks cute with the short hair but she really needed someone to comb/fix it before the indoor photo event started with the black tinfoil dress. It looked like it was windy outside as she came in and just started being photographed. I saw some close-ups on another site and it is a tangled mess with ends sticking out all over. I think for her in her daily life it will be difficult for her to style and will either be slicked back or covered with a trucker’s cap. She is very pretty when she smiles.
Imma be the odd man out here and say I love the first look a lot. It suits her well. The second one is meh, mainly because of the shoe choice.
