Tom Hiddleston looked tired, won Best Actor at the London ES Theatre Awards

wenn21973587

Tom Hiddleston made it to the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards last night in London! He was nominated for Best Actor for his star turn in Coriolanus earlier this year. And guess what? HE WON! He beat out Mark Strong and Ben Miles. Dame Helen Mirren presented the award to him. Apparently, Hiddles wasn’t expecting to win so he said something like “I haven’t thought of anything to say so I’m going to take the piss out of Rob,” referring to the MC of the evening, Rob Brydon. Hiddles also thanked everyone involved with the production, saying: “I share this with the whole company, who shared real blood, sweat and tears.”

This is Tommy’s first red-carpet outing in a while – he’s been working a lot, often on back-to-back projects, and he hasn’t been our nerdy dancing bear in a long time. He’s been in Louisiana for more than a month filming I Saw the Light, which I think has probably wrapped by now. Tom lost weight to play Hank Williams, and you can see it in his face in these photos. He doesn’t look gaunt, but he does look tired and in need of carbs. His hair looks really dark too – I’m guessing he dyed it dark brown for Hank Williams? His tuxedo is Alexander McQueen, btw.

Oh, and Tommy posed on the red carpet with Benedict Cumberbatch. Because of course they did that. They’re trying to #BreakTheInternet.

    Yay!

  2. Florence says:

Oh wow, he looks unrecognisable 🙁
Eat something tom! And stop dying your hair!

    • icerose says:

I am sure his mum and thousands of others are just dying to provide the sustenance to build him up but he still has one more week of filming so until then he stays skinny,

    • Ava says:

It is for the movie…..he is fine

  3. Zandy says:

Is there a need to hijack Hiddleston threat with Cumberbatch, when next story is about Cumberbatch?

    Well done to Tom.

  4. Allegra says:

It was a big night for him and you can tell that he was having a blast.
    And someone even tweet this:
    @wallofstars
“Tom Hiddleston arrived today at the #ESTheatreAwards in a 2 seat sports car, blasting funky music from its speakers. #notkidding”

  5. InvaderTak says:

Well he’d nailing the hard up hard luck country star look. Hope that get a over with soon so he can go back to his usual self. Congrats on the win though.

  6. Sixer says:

Jebus, he looks AWFUL. Bye bye hair.

Colour me amazed, too. I was sure Miles was going to get it. Well done Tommy. I may have intensely disliked the production, but I didn’t have a problem with your acting.

(Fanty: if you’re reading – James Plays got best play!)

    • Lilacflowers says:

The boy and his hair need a rest. From the sounds of it, he was pretty sure Miles was going to get it too. Good thing he made the trip home.

When is the next round of Peaky Blinders? I’ve become totally addicted.

    • Sixer says:

He really does look bad. I hate to say it on a dragonfly thread but almost ugly. Even when Puddletom’s not looking his best I can usually rustle up a bit of lust for the legs – but even those are missing in that suit. Meh.

I think next year. Both series are on Netflix, right? You’ve watched ’em all? See what I mean about it? Nothing new narrative-wise, but everything is else really is top of the tree. I liked the stop-go moments in the fight sequences best.

      • Lilacflowers says:

I think the suit was too large for his reduced weight. During the red carpet interview he did with “Poppy”, he kept reaching behind and tugging his pants up. And the hair needs to be left alone. A few weeks at home over Christmas should help to get him back in shape and looking fine.

Yes, both series are on Netflix, I’ve been binge watching over the holiday weekend between doing family holiday celebrations and attending concerts (Harry Christophers CBE in his bespoke tux is a lovely sight) and seeing movies that aren’t TIG. I have one episode left to go and i’ll watch that tonight. Narrative-wise, I feel “Boardwalk Empire” got moved to Birmingham and Steve Buscemi morphed into Cillian Murphy but the acting is outstanding and I’m addicted.

      • Sixer says:

Yes: it’s just your common or garden mob story. Nothing to see here in those terms. But the acting is top notch. I love the soundtrack. And, I dunno, just the shot selection and general artistry is superlative. And it was capable of producing a halfway decent sex scene, which is so bloody rare on TV, it’s noteworthy!

      • Lilacflowers says:

The soundtrack gets me too. i find myself bouncing around the house to the music then having to play the scene back because I was too busy dancing to watch.

      • Intro Outro says:

@Sixer and Lilac: the rather average story (and the historic setting which I am not too interested in) is what put me off Peaky Blinders. Pity because acting is indeed excellent =(

      • Oh Hey says:

Toward the end of the night in the photos it looked like his hair loosened up – a much better look. I will be happy to see him back to normal, although if he’s filming more Loki in January he might not look ‘normal’ for a while.

      • 'P'enny says:

Loki has got a very long wig, by the looks of it. – see Ruffolo’s sneaky wardrobe pic. Those clues… there for us so long ago now.

      • jammypants says:

        He does look very bad.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

He really does look dreadful. Gaunt, unhealthy, and easily ten years older. I hope he gets some real down time after ISTL wraps.

I’m so glad he got this. What a nice surprise!

      • icerose says:

there are some better pictures floating around in which he looks a bit more like his normal self-and in post winning pictures he seems to have had a burst of energy. Helen Mirren gave him a lovely hug,

Re Peaky the stories bare not much to write home about ut there are some twists. It has style ,atmosphere and great cinematography and some strong women’s parts. Just great to have something cultish to look forward to now that Sherlock has lots it’s edge,

      • Allegra says:

And Tom gave Gillian Anderson a nice hug too.

    • icerose says:

and Scottsboro Boys got musical so triple yeas for me

      • Sixer says:

I saw that and thought of you, icerose!

      • Dara says:

@icerose – there’s a photo floating around of Tom with the producer of Scottsboro Boys. I spotted it on Tumblr, but I think it’s from the show’s Facebook page. I’m surprised Torrilla didn’t have it – she’s usually first to the party with stuff like that.

      • joe spider says:

See at the bottom of the page (hopefully)

  7. Loopy says:

wow i thought Cumberbatch was way taller than him.

    • Old Enough says:

No, Cumberbatch is barely 6 foot tall and Tom is 6 foot 2 inches. If he just flew in from US for this, poor guy probably jetlagged. Glad he won, Coriolanus was fabulous (saw in NT Live)

      • Oh Hey says:

Apparently sighted in an airport flying home on Thanksgiving, so he probably was exhausted. The dark hair is for Hank, and if you think that’s bad you should see him with the brown contacts – very disturbing, LOL. Gimme those baby blues, and some curls. So happy for him, he said on the red carpet he wasn’t holding out much hope, so good for him, that was a great show. I’ve missed seeing him out and about!

  8. Lilacflowers says:

Tom! Over here! Roasted potatoes. And pudding. Eat! And they need to stop messing with yur hair for roles So happy for him for the win. And Mark Strong looked good too.

    • icerose says:

if you look at some pictures it is styled on top and then it hit me 1950’s brill cream days when all the boys slicked there hair back and whipped it up a bit on top- Hank hair

  9. MexicanMonkey says:

Poor tommy, he does look really thin, and the slicked back hair isn’t helping either. But those cheekbones!
Still, it’s a well deserved win, Coriolanus was fantastic!

  10. Allegra says:

This alert is for those who want to watch the show tonight:
    @Simon Thompson‏
“Tom Hiddlestone fans will want to watch the #ESTheatreAwards on @LondonLive tomorrow night at 8, that’s for sure…”

  11. koko says:

Nothing a trip to the islands won’t cure. Good for him. Well done.

  12. solanaceae (Nighty) says:

Finally, I’ve taking a break from the enGAGemen and comment on this sweety here…
    CONGRATS TOM… 🙂

Different posts and I have so much work to do and not enough time to comment.. buahhhhhh-…. not fair….

  13. Ellen says:

Hiddles needs a holiday and preferably one where the company or people there don’t leak it so he can have some proper rest.

I’ve read he’s flown back lousianna today and Is wondering if its true

  14. Hiddleswoon.
    Well-played, Sir.

  15. Sara says:

Very happy Tom won. Saw Coriolanus at Donmar and in Cinema and I loved the play.

  16. 'P'enny says:

I knew he was going to get a lot of stick for his hair, all tumblr-teenagers could post was stuff about his receding hair-line instead of focusing on his achievement. However, that’s life, I am kind of looking forward to the day he has a number 2 all over. I just don’t think he is going to go down the hair-plug route, but you never know.

I kind of imagine him with the wacky professor look, curly sides and back like Frasier and Bill Murry.

however, I don’t think he’s lost that much more this year, down to awful 1950’s styling. hope he grows it out. I think it should be Henry length for the jungle.

    • Lilacflowers says:

I think it is the styling too and that the actual hair loss is holding. The dark color and the straightening make it look thinner and slicking it back just adds to the look but there really isn’t much else he can do with it until the curls come back.

      • icerose says:

I am pretty sure it styling this time but hair loss can be a side effect of stringent dieting. He needs a year of having his own naturally curly brown hair and parts which do not mean he has to go skinny.
He was swimming in that suit

      • Josa says:

@icerose, I thought so too, that hair loss as side effect of the dieting. Malnutrition has a lot of side effects. His skin looks rough too. His mom must worry for her boy, Christmas can’t come sooner for him.

      • Isadora says:

@Josa: I think he needs a moisturizer that is better suited to his skin type (which seems to me a bit dry but sensitive), but as a man he probably doesn’t think twice about it and uses what he always used, no matter if his skin type changed. 😉
I have the absolutely silly and weird urge to give him a nice face pack and massage. Oops. Sorry, I have now officially ventured into the creepy area of dragonflying, right?

      • icerose says:

@Josa Sometimes I wish they would go back to the days when just acting the part was sufficient, The other issue I have with all this bulking up and losing weight to the point of starvation is the effect it has on your metabolism and future diabetes.

      • Josa says:

@Isadora. I think you are right about the sensitive skin that he has. When I looked at the close up, his coloring on the face looks a bit more like rashes. I have really sensitive skin too and I get those redness on my face once in while.

@icerose, it’s hard to do a biopic without looking like that person physically though. But yes, I do like the idea of judging the acting instead of the physical transformation however difficult that transformation is. Messing around one’s dieting is just not a good thing. I worry this is going to affect his health if he doesn’t take care of himself after this filming. I know he loves puddings, but he should watch out for eating too much sweet.

      • icerose says:

@Isadora Just applying the facial creams could be fun, keeping his chatty mouth firmly shut with multi/ coloured threads while you apply cream his face ,lips, neck and lower with you own personal applicator. Now that is creep dragon fly fantasy.

    • JoAnn says:

Really? My daughter is on Tumblr and with the exception of about 10 comments out of a couple thousand nobody mentioned his receding hairline and if they did they were quick to say it didn’t bother them. He just looks freaking pooped and hungry. He has been working non-stop for a year.
He still has a smile that stops traffic.

    • Dara says:

‘P’enny – I think you’re right about the hair loss. Some blessed soul on Tumblr put a photo from when he was a radio operator in whatever production that was (early in his career) next to one from last night and the hairline is nearly the same. Yes, there been some strategic retreat in spots but it is in no way ‘rapid’ or extreme – I think it’s just his hairline and the slicked back hair highlighted it.

    • jammypants says:

I read silly comments like they can’t be his fan anymore because he looks less attractive. Mind, she was a teenager, but she needs to get a grip haha

I looked at the NYC set when they filmed The Avengers. His hairline looked exactly the same. I think it’s been like this for a while but the curls hide it.

  17. MtnRunner says:

Thrilled for Tom and his win. I enjoyed the production and was particularly mesmerized by Deborah Findlay’s Volumnia. I enjoyed Gatiss’ Menenius too.

Tom doesn’t look that great here, but at least we know why. Things will change with some food and a holiday.

He still wore a suit better than frumpy Bendy.

    • Lilacflowers says:

He wore the suit beautifully even though he had to keep pulling up the pants in the back. I’m not going to get into the comparisons.

      • MtnRunner says:

Lilac, I can’t help it when Kaiser sticks a pic of the two of them next to each other! I can’t help but compare. Despite swimming in his suit, Tom looked snazzier.

While I’m at it, I’ll point out that in the two interviews I saw, Tom never complained about having to fly back and forth, how tired he was… blah, blah blah… unlike that other guy who wouldn’t shut up about it interview after interview, looking for sympathy when he was on our shores.

      • icerose says:

@MtnRunner -my biggest laugh of the day was an alert for an interview witgh the caption Benedict Cumberbatch explains why Richard 111 is like Turing.

So I guess he is going to play him a misunderstood gay ,social awkward genius who feels he has a right to a throne and was never recognised for his potential.

He will be asking the government to make an apology on behalf of Shakespeare for the accusations about the death of the little princes and his first wife

    • icerose says:

he wore it like a champion -no penguin posture for our boy

      • Dara says:

Awesome point all, I thought that too last night looking at the photos. The tailoring on the tux may not have been up to his usual high standards, but he still wore it like a BOSS. Those photos with BC and Anna just slay me – he’s standing there like he owns the world when the reality is he’s probably jet lagged, starving and hoping desperately his pants don’t fall down or his slicked back hair doesn’t make him look like an actual penguin. All of that effort to attend a ceremony thinking he wasn’t going to actually win without a scowl or grumpy moment in sight. Good for him. Show ’em all how it’s done.

  18. scarf girl says:

So happy he won. I have missed Hiddles. Looking forward to new projects from him.

  19. tasha_nat says:

Ooh. Cute, but needs more curls. Suit is a little too big, it doesn’t show off his sexy baby giraffe legs.

  20. Jenny says:

    He looks terrible.

  21. Froop says:

It’s lovely to see him again but sadly he’s not looking good. I can’t decide if it’s a dodgy dye job/bad styling or his hair has receded rapidly in the six months since his last red carpet appearance.

    • Lilacflowers says:

Dodgy dye job and straightening with weight loss.

    • icerose says:

no it is because he is playing a six foot guy who weighed 104 pounds when he died-it was the slicj back hair that made his face look even more gaunt -it looked like he had greased it down for some reason.

  22. Florence says:

This just shows that losing so much weight for a movie is really bad, seems to age the actors so much and they never seem to recover properly ie michael fassbender after Hunger, looked old and wrinkly and hair rapidly receding too.

It’s not worth it guys, don’t lose the hot!
    I miss Tom’s great legs 🙁

    • Isadora says:

Well… if looking like Fassbender after Hunger (which means like the Fassbender we generally know because he hadn’t a huge career before Hunger) is looking “really bad”, then yes…. please… I love “really bad” looking men. 😀

  23. Intro Outro says:

Congrats to Tom! Don’t mind him looking exhausted and older than his age as long as I Saw the Light delivers. He’s young and has a sh*tton of energy, he’ll bounce back given proper rest and food.

    • Allegra says:

It´s good that someone was kind enough to share this video.
I can´t stand Anna W and not really interested in hearing what other actors had to speak because is always the same questions, so i skipped the first four minutes and go to Tom´s interview.

    • Altariel says:

Tom looks great 🙂 I prefer him with straight dark hair any way.

I spied a Rose Tyler lol

    • Oh Hey says:

Oh god, his voice. How I love that voice. So happy to see him. Now if I could just get my hand in that hair and mess it up….

    • icerose says:

he looks so much better on the interviews -love how happy he is.

    • TotallyBiased says:

THANK YOU! That video is grand (how awesome is Scottish pocket hottie JM?!) but I love it most because Tom genuinely looks as if the win surprised him. Plus in this vid I for one think he looks totally jumpable, skinny bones and all. Looooove it!

      • icerose says:

JM was just on Jonathan Ross sing a Barry Manilo song whilst Barry was playing and it was not bad

  24. annon says:

Why do you write Tom looks tired, yet don’t write Benedict looks grumpy?

    • joe spider says:

Because he always looks grumpy recently whereas Tom doesn’t always look tired?

      • annon says:

Hmm well if Benedicts latest thread had started with grumpy benedict I wouldn’t be bothered…it just seems like this cite has something against Tom. If it were Benedict that won all his praises would have been sang yet when its Tom its like ewe look at the weight he lost for his movie ect…just frustrated. In addition Toms threads are always being closed. Im actually put off this cite and I don’t think I will be coming back.

      • jammypants says:

I agree with annon, although the lovely ladies are keeping me here.

      • Intro Outro says:

@annon and jammy, same here. This non-stop shoving of Cumberbatch down our throats has put me off CB for a week at the very least. Good thing I have other fandoms to keep me entertained off-CB 😀

    • Lilacflowers says:

I try not to think about the other one, grumpy or otherwise. I thought Tom’s work in Coriolanus was magnificent and the honor well deserved. Very happy for him. My statements about appearance are of concern. I want to feed him nourishing meals and see that he rests and restore him to the gorgeous man he is. But, I won’t get that chance so I’ll see the four movies he has coming out next year on the days they all open and I’ll watch The Night Manager too.

    • Catherine says:

      Because he looks tired?

    • icerose says:

because he looks grumpy all the time so it is nothing new

  25. Dani says:

Umm…I like haggard Tom. Come over here, let me make you feel better!

  26. annon says:

I honestly cannot be the only person to think Tom looked beautiful last night. He was stunning and you peeps need to give over about his hair, Tom is an angel.

    • Allegra says:

Let’s be honest, okay? He is thin and looks tired, but when he smiles, we forget the rest because his smile has the power to illuminate an entire stadium.

    • **sighs** says:

He looks tired but still adorable. I’ll hold your pants up, Tom.

    • 'P'enny says:

there were some good shots of him, especially the one floating on Torrilla site with the side smile and up close. He always looks his best in motion, and the lighting against the that green backdrop wasn’t the best. Some of the premieres he went to for War Horse he looked skinny and older, which was for Henry V, and he bounced right back only couple of months later when he filmed Henry 1V the wrong way round.

but, at least he isn’t do a Jake Gillenhall, anyone who wants an Oscar next year might as well walk away now. all that weight! jeex

      • icerose says:

I saw the picture but I find all that muscle a turn off. I would rather he won for Night Crawler because it seems to be a role which is all about the acting

      • Isadora says:

I agree, he generally looks better in motion, imho. I don’t know if it’s because his boyish charm and personality shines through, but I think he looks quite good in the backstage interview after he won the award. His slicked back hair is a bit ruffled, he is happy and I absolutely like it.

    • icerose says:

I thought he looked lovely once I get over the slick backed hair. The hundred what smile was still there and yes there were some good shots as well

    • Isadora says:

The newest photos on torrilla (the stills from the backstage interview) are very very nice, I have to admit. I may or may not have looked at them repeatedly, contemplating the effect his dark hair has on the radiance of his eyes.
(And now I’m waxing poetic here, it’s rather bad, I’d say.)

  27. Dara says:

So happy for Tom and everyone involved in Coriolanus. I thought when watching (via NT Live) that I was witnessing something truly special, but chalked most of that up to my unfailing affecting for Tom. Glad to see that it wasn’t all in my head…or wherever my inner fangirl has taken up residence.

Congrats to him – it’s well deserved.

    • icerose says:

I always thought it was special but was concerned they might not go for a Shakespeare role for a second year-but his performance won out

  28. ellesbelles says:

Hello darlings! Bit late to the celebration this morning. Up late with Tom you know, celebrating 😉 (don’t I wish!) I wouldn’t be in to work if that were true.

I know he looked tired last night, but I’m not going to say anything negative. He’s been working, and had to travel. It’s got to be tough to hop a plane for such a quick turn around knowing you have to be back to work to wrap up your film.

The smile though. I don’t care how tired he looked. When he flashed that grin, I bet it lit up London.

  29. FW says:

huge congratulations to Tommy! Due to the time zone I live in, I woke up to the wonderful news that HE WON. Cheered me up all day long^_^ I guess this is his first BEST ACTOR recognition?

I remembered when I watched Coriolanus for the first time in Donmar (yeah, i watched more than once), at the end of the show, I said to my friend, making movies is kind of a waste of his talent. I had some criticism/doubt on his acting capabilities and range esp. re: Loki/Freddie Page. Not any more after I watched Coriolanus live performance.

  30. joe spider says:

So there we all sat cbing away to one another last night, big celebrations when he won and what happened? They closed the thread!!

    • ellesbelles says:

I gave major side eyes to that yesterday. I know that CB is Ben central these days, and we are a smaller yet very vocal fan base for Tom. Give us a spot to fangirl and we wont hijack other threads to get together!

      • jammypants says:

        YES.

      • Catherine says:

Well my theory as to why the Tom threads keep being closed: a small number of posters making multiple comments, so the site thinks they’re
spam (it has been commented on before).

      • ellesbelles says:

Catherine, that makes a lot of sense actually. Small but vocal means a lot of comments from the same people.

      • TotallyBiased says:

        @Catherine
Except that same activity never caused threads about other celebrities to close. And real spam uses different sources for multiple posting–it’s the same text over and over that triggers those tests. By which standard, BC threads should close much more quickly.

      • icerose says:

@totally biased and they get very repetitious.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Catherine, but if that were the case, the BC threads would be shut down long before they reached the 400th post about sea creatures and body language. I’ve noticed lately with the Tom threads that they shut down as soon as new news breaks.

      • jammypants says:

@ice, I can’t tell one post from another, really

    • Ellen says:

@Joe Spider it’s because Benedict is taking over all media and he can’t bare it that Hiddles is getting attention. I don’t think Hiddles minds this time because he’s too tired to smack him one! Lol

    • jammypants says:

We never have enough Ben threads, don’t you know Joe Spider?

    • Isadora says:

That was probably so that we are on this thread today to discuss the awards and not fire away in the old thread and this one ends up with no comments. 😉

      • jammypants says:

I don’t see that for other stars.

      • Dara says:

@Jammy – exactly. The Cumbercollective is banging on about the Hobbit premiere on the current BC thread (400+ comments) and it’s still open and going strong. Dollars to doughnuts there will be a Benny article tomorrow covering the same territory and today’s article will still be open for business. Very frustrating since the Hiddleston articles seem to close up shop quickly with no real solid reasoning (that I’ve been able to figure out).

      • jammypants says:

@Dara, check out Ben’s older posts. Still open.

  31. joe spider says:

Not just that his hair has been dyed but straightened too which heightens the retreat of the hair line. Coriolanus hair and body in another few weeks and normal service will be resumed.

  32. ellesbelles says:

Also these lovely pictures have made this dreary gray Monday morning so bearable. I’m sat here full of warm fuzzies all over. I cant even pull together any snark for the other thread, I’m too much of a content kitten over here

  33. et alors says:

Cute backstage moment between Tom and Gillian Anderson after their wins at about 1:18.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhJA4K4HHMM

  34. joe spider says:

My posts are going on holiday again so google Celebitchy Hiddleston dorky boy scout and just look how skinny he was filming OLLA.

  35. Tatianna says:

Didn’t catch his performance but heard he was great. He’s supposedly a better theatre actor than film actor from what I heard.

    • 'P'enny says:

He’s a very good theatre actor, he won an Olivier Newcomer award way back before Thor. He’s trained as a classic thespian and it is his natural strength. While he did theatre he did BBC television stuff. Therefore, his craft as a film actor, challenged by good scripts, is only now leaving the starting blocks. Although, I thought his acting as Loki, in parts, was way too good for the Marvel films.

    • Lilacflowers says:

Truthfully, he has not done a lot of film work.

  36. vauvert says:

Ahhh… Sight for sore eyes. So happy for him and the crew! Don’t care if he is thin and tired, I’ll take him anyway:-)

  37. joe spider says:

I earlier commented on Matthew McConaughey’s loss of weight for Dallas Buyers’ Club and how he has recoved, so don’t worry too much.

There is a black hole somewhere in the ether full of disappeared posts.

    • jammypants says:

McConaughey looked great in True Detective and that was after DBC.

      Yea, graveyard of posts :p

    • 'P'enny says:

oh my, sorry I have to disagree, I think Matthew still looks ill. I swear he has developed an eating disorder. He’s never got back to his original weight, to me, anyway.

    • Isadora says:

I’m not sure what is caused by the jojo weight stuff and what is normal aging process, but personally I think Matthew’s looks have suffered in the last few years. We all get older, it’s normal, but I think the weight loss was very taxing.

      • Camil says:

Two days ago my sister kicked my ass because I told her I found Matthew McConaughey’s face weird :s

  38. Dara says:

I wondered for a nano-second why Anna Wintour was there but figured it was a Vogue/Conde’ Nast tie in or something to do with Burberry co-sponsoring the event. Turns out her father was Editor in Chief of the Standard and he was responsible for creating the awards 60 years ago. They even had an award in his honor.

It really was an amazing event – the star studded turnout was impressive, it looks like every major theatre and fashion powerhouse in the UK was there. So much for some people calling it a minor award that wasn’t even going to be televised. Glad Tom made the trip – he can sleep over the holiday – and especially glad that he won with all those movers and shakers in the room.

    • Isadora says:

Yes, it’s a good signal to the theatre world – that you can be a star in one of the highest grossing action movies ever and still be an accomplished theatre actor.

    • Oh Hey says:

Not to be catty but I’m going to be catty, Anna Wintour should wear elbow length sleeves, unless crepey arms are in this season…….that’s not a good look……

  39. Ginger says:

    Congrats Tommy!

  40. Veronica says:

You know Tom has dropped weight when Cumby looks like Cavill when standing by him.

    • icerose says:

Cumby looks positively pudgy beside him

      • jammypants says:

I think more stocky/boxy than pudgy, which is weird because he’s not fat in any way. Maybe it’s the fit of the suit on his torso? He looks a lot healthier than Hiddly for sure. Hiddles’ suit is a bit baggy on him.

      • icerose says:

@jimmypants yes a better description but it is also his weird posture and the feeling that he gives off that he is not comfortable in his own body. It is partly why he does the socially awkward genius thing so well .In comparison Tom just has this laid back elegance that he owns the world until he opens his mouth and it’s all puppy dog enthusiasm.

      • jammypants says:

@ice, yea I see what you mean. He never seems very comfortable. He’s very stiff. I love your description of Tom. Very accurate.

  41. Ava says:

I was excited to see his hard work pay off. Matthew M and Christian Bale have looked way skinner and much worse. It’s just a movie look. He will be fine……..At least he didn’t have to gain 100 lbs lol. That would be harder to lose. I saw Coriolanus and was moved beyond words. He really deserved this! Congrats Tom.

  42. TotallyBiased says:

Awesome stuff from Baz Bamigboye, judge for the Evening Standard Awards, on why Tom Hiddleston won.

“Tom Hiddleston was a breathtaking, one-man war machine in Josie Rourke’s powerful Donmar Warehouse production of Coriolanus, which opened around this time last year.
Coriolanus is a Roman general, happiest with a sword in his hand, slaying enemies on a battlefield but restless and ill at ease in civilian life. Hiddleston understood — and made us understand — that the soldier’s battle was within himself. That was his tragedy.

What made his performance soar was his physicality (that strapping torso!) combined with perfect diction. Every word, uttered in that mellifluous voice, was heard.

There are very few matinee idols who can actually act, and Hiddleston stands with the best of them. He’s a world-class star.

Ben Miles and Mark Strong must be saluted, too, for their powerful performances in Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies, and A View From the Bridge respectively.”

    • Dara says:

Couldn’t have said it better – I will be forever grateful that I was able to witness that performance (even if it was in a movie theatre an ocean away).

    • 'P'enny says:

Baz!!! He is a Hiddles’ fan 😉 When that idiot, Quentin, at the Daily Mail gave that really snarky review I thought, why didn’t they send Baz to review it! He went. I talked about it, he was in awe and he said way back then he was very impressed. But, no they had to print the others snark.

      blah.

I bet Baz gets the big interview next year with Hiddles, time to move on from the Telegraph, me dear.

      • ellesbelles says:

I’ve gone right off of the daily fail. Even as an American I liked it better than our TMZ and other rags, since TMZ only covers a small portion of the good gossip. They are for sure on the Kardashian payroll. But the Mail has gone tits up lately, completely snubbing winners in favor of OtterHunt posts and bs.

I wouldve loved a full on article about Tom. Hell I wouldve taken an article about ALL of the winners

      • Dara says:

@elles – I check out the DM online for the photos and that’s about all. I generally don’t read a single word and just make up the story and the captions in my head. My inner voice probably does a better job than the person who gets paid to do it.

      • Oh Hey says:

THe DM guy made some snarky comment about him being more concerned about his hair gel – wtf did that come from, unless from the ‘preparation’ video that shows him running his fingers through his hair? I’m glad he got the last laugh, he was breathtaking in every way.

      • icerose says:

Daily mail is all over the dour engagement at the moment but it will wear off and then thet will start looking for other for their click bait,

    • icerose says:

I salute you P’enny Baz is a Tom fan and the other judge that gave him and the play a good review was Libby Purvis

  43. Lilacflowers says:

Just a reminder that his Muse of Fire interview is also being released today

    • Allegra says:

Right, they just release the video :
      Look for globeplayer.tv

    • Isadora says:

      Thank you Lilacflowers & Allegra!

    • ellesbelles says:

I’ve got to wait till I get home. I can access it from work, but there is only so much my poor heart can take of this man before I go full hiddle-belle, and work is not the place to go full hiddle-belle 😉

      • Dara says:

@elles – was it you looking for more online interviews on an earlier thread? In addition to all the others already mentioned, I really enjoyed the one he did for Popcorn Taxi during the Thor II junket in Australia – some of the fans were a little gushy which sometimes makes me cringe, but he was in fine form and took it all in stride.

There is a two-parter floating around about his time at RADA and how it prepared him for a career as a working actor. Really good insight into how he approaches the work.

      • joe spider says:

        @ DAra

The Times Talk Madrid was his best. Swoons.

      • ellesbelles says:

Dara it was probably me, in fact I’ll put money that it was me 🙂

I’ve listened to the RADA one, and there is one that he did for OLLA where he is sitting in a room full of IKEA couches, but he’s just talking and talking and the hands and the facial expressions. Its so soothing just listening to him talk. The studio Q interview for OLLA is awesome as well, the interviewer was great. Its a shame he ended up being such an alledged creeper

  44. jammypants says:

I really can’t wait to see his indie films next year. Unlike his Marvel ones, you don’t get leaks that spoil the movie.

    • Lilacflowers says:

Although the ending to ISTL is no secret, neither is High-Rise to anyone who read the book.

I’m curious what penalty Idris faced for his blabber mouth. All the others seem to take the secrecy seriously so there may be contract provisions spelling out penalties. Marvel got a court order against Google to turn over data as it searches for whoever leaked AOU trailer.

I’m also looking forward to seeing all the stuff Tom has been working on.

      • jammypants says:

Good point! I’m glad they’re keeping Tom in the scenes regardless. I was worried they would cut him out because of Elba.

      • 'P'enny says:

no pictures of Idris Elba last night? he was supposed to be going. I wonder if he didn’t fancy the run in with Tom.

Plus, it too, crossed my mind that we are reshooting and cutting Idris out as punishment.

      • joe spider says:

It wasn’t just he fact that Idris blabbed but that he spoke of the Marvel film in rather a derogatory way. Never pays to bite that hand that feeds you Idris.

      • icerose says:

He was there he gave an award but he looked a bit different.

      • Dara says:

The Avengers cast are taking advantage of their break in filming. Scarlett got married – a while ago actually, and without doing any kind of public announcement at the time. Gosh, it’s shocking in this day and age – a celebrity that doesn’t publicly announce nuptial details… madness, sheer madness.

‘P’enny – I’ve offered a wager on the location of the ceremony on the Scarlett article from a few days ago, but it is so deathly quiet over there (I swear I saw a tumbleweed roll by) I don’t think I’ll get much action. Any chance you want to go double or nothing from our last bet?

  45. zut alors! says:

Why is Anna Wintour considered the grand doyenne of fashion? Her personal style seems quite lacking to me. She never varies from “her look”.

    • Allegra says:

Good question, i wonder that too.
I really do not understand the relevance of these fashions magazines . I know they serve a purpose, but in terms of content, there are a few interesting articles on various topics, tips on beauty products and the rest are pictures with clothes and accessories. Seriously, just see people reading this kind of magazine in doctors’ offices, dental and beauty salons.

      • ellesbelles says:

I went to Barnes and Noble hoping they carried Elle UK (They dont) but they do carry Vogue UK, and I thumbed through that, plus the american version, and it was 20 pages of ads before i even got to the masthead. I love fashion, but I love approachable fashion, not couture stuff that I could never wear to work or a night out.

AW seems like a wax figure. Her daughter Bea, or Bee… seems more affable though, at least she shows human emotion on her face

      • Allegra says:

Exactly, the photos are beautiful, the production is well done, but it’s the kind of fashion that most people do not have access because of the price, or the fact that
is not the kind of fashion that you can use in your day to day.
I know many people people outside the US or Europe, use these magazines as inspiration to create clothes and adapt them to their own country.

You re right, AW´s the daughter is seems to be more friendly and accessible but I hope she continues behaving this way because the world does not deserve another AW ou AW 2.

  46. Allegra says:

    Ladies:
I wonder what Tom was doing yesterday morning on Leicester square hours before the ceremony.
The fan that saw him yesterday said he was walking very fast.
    Maybe another work?

    • 'P'enny says:

      running for a burger?

they all get ready for events like these in hotels before hand, he was probably running to where that was to get ready. Considering how many guests they need to tart up they are no doubt scheduled in and he maybe running late.

      • Allegra says:

        Really? I didn´t know that.

      • 'P'enny says:

thats why they turn up half drunk ‘cough’ bille piper

      • joe spider says:

Glad I’m not the only one who thought that.

Did you notice how p****d off Laurence looked in some of the pics?

      • Dara says:

Dear lord – that’s what I thought too when I got a look at those two. They were both really rough around the edges. I thought it might just be their natural state, but then I figured they were halfway to being sh*tfaced and hadn’t even gotten inside yet.

      • Oh Hey says:

Laurence Fox *always* looks pissed off…as he said in one ep of Inspector Lewis, something to do with the “unfortunate shape of my face…”

      • joe spider says:

Haha, by p****d off I meant angry, but you are right.

      • 'P'enny says:

they remind of two young parents with two naughty kids that are running them ragged and they are not coping, like most parents. So they get a night out and they are not wasting the opportunity and getting drunk.

      • Lilacflowers says:

Did Laurence Fox have any reaction to Tom’s win?

      • Josa says:

Laurence Fox will finally get a chance to hold all those acting trophies when he plays Tom in his biopic :).

      • Intro Outro says:

@Josa: how very blue meanie of you 😛

    • joe spider says:

Oooooooooooooooooooh the angst that would cause.

    • Dara says:

We’ll probably never know. Maybe he stopped off at the Shakespeare statue in the middle of the square and dropped off a lucky token of some sort. That’s the kind of cornball thing I would do. Or he snuck in a movie before the evening’s festivities got into full swing.

      • Dara says:

Or, and I realize I’m answering my own post, the Alexander McQueen flagship store is only about half a mile from the Leicester Square tube stop. 10 minute walk – or less, considering how fast legs-for-days probably walks.

      • Allegra says:

        I thought that too.
Bond Street is not far from Leicester Square, right?

      • Dara says:

Yep – close enough to do on foot, and probably faster depending on traffic. There’s also a McQueen bespoke men’s store in Savile Row but I don’t think they would have had time to do much custom tailoring. Could have been either one really – both are easily walkable from Leicester Sq.

      • Miss Jupitero says:

Judging by how much he needed to pull up his pants, I doubt he had a custom fitting.

  47. Abby_J says:

So nice to see our beloved Dragonfly king. He really does need a cheeseburger, or an extra helping of pudding. Still, I can see the puppy in there just waiting to get out after some rest and relaxation.

Awesome that he won too! Way to go, Tommy!

  48. k says:

This thread is hardly the worst thing ever posted on this site. In fact, the only remotely negative thing written about Hiddles in the original post is that he looks tired and skinny. Which is true. That is not a personal attack. It is merely an observation of the way his hard work is affecting his body. Most people here are aware of the fact that he’s filming a movie that practically requires him to look ill anyway. That doesn’t mean people can’t comment on it. I would say that most people here are impressed by his dedication but hope that he doesn’t compromise his health for his work.

  49. Abby_J says:

Is there anywhere to see Tom’s acceptance speech on line? All I’ve managed to find are videos from the Red Carpet.

  50. Ava says:

@lillies please do come back some of us on here do care about acting and actor achievement. Tom did a play and then three films in a row. I for one dont know how he does it. Consider all that and he is still smiling. He is amazing! Some like to comment from their keyboard and could never achieve what he has. However, many of us on here do like to talk about his projects, films, etc. we need more fans of his projects, so I hope you return.

  51. ellesbelles says:

I wrote a passionate plea to keep this thread open and it didnt pass muster 🙁

Just please keep this open as long as possible and let us gather and fangirl awhile

    • lolaflowers says:

      +1

    • MtnRunner says:

I’m sure they closed the previous TH post to force us to comment on his win on THIS post. I expect this one to stay open for days. If not, I’ll have a conniption.

      • ellesbelles says:

@Mtn very true. I just want a place to come and freak out and not have people think I’m a lunatic. My workmates would think I’m a nutter if they knew. I have a carefully curated veil of indifference to all of the things on the outside, while on the inside I’ve gone full Directioner for Tom.

My mind palace has been papered in all things Hiddleston lately. Poor Ben has gotten relegated to the attic

      • jammypants says:

        I guess we’ll see!

Funny you mentioned “attic” Elles because in the original text for A Study in Scarlett, the Mind Palace was referred to as an “attic”.

      • Catherine says:

See my post above, I doubt there’s any strategy to the comments being closed.

      • jammypants says:

        Catherine, I don’t think that’s the case. I really don’t =/

      • Intro Outro says:

Agreed with jammy. I have been a regular commenter for almost a year and the policy in regard to Hiddleston threads is pretty singular.

    • ellesbelles says:

oh my god i figured out gravatar… i have a tom icon now! *dead*

    • icerose says:

      +1

  52. lolaflowers says:

Love this beautiful man!!! Haha a Benedict shout out had to be included cause CB is seemingly obsessed with him at present. But a grievance for me is maybe a Tom shout could have been included in the Benedict post? You know to keep things fair?

    • Lilacflowers says:

Doing that would raise the full fury and ire of the Cumberbitches.

      • lola says:

Haha I did not think about them, well I suppose we can accept Cumby I may find him unattractive but im still a fan.

      • Lilacflowers says:

I see no reason to accept him. I accept he is talented but I see no reason to stick him everywhere.

  53. Naddie says:

Damn, I miss my lovely crush on this guy. Still, I like him a lot and hope he gets all the recognition he deserves. But again, I want to see sparkles when I see him!

  54. Evie says:

Congratulations to Tom! Well deserved as well. I’m sure it will be the first of many awards. He has serious acting chops.

  55. amberj says:

Wow. He looks awful. Hope he hasn’t ruined his face forever.

    • Dara says:

Nah – it’s all good. It’s a big weight gain followed by a big loss that actors really need to worry about. Past a certain age the skin just won’t bounce back. Rumor has it Sylvester Stallone had to have a whole body lift/tuck after he gained (then lost) all that weight for his role in Cop Land.

Tom arrived in a jag everyone else in audi according to this site.

    • jammypants says:

      he looks fetching in B&W

      • ellesbelles says:

it really looks like an advertisement, save for the tired lines. I’m reaching max capacity before my heart bursts!

      • Isadora says:

He does! I especially love the bigger picture where you can see the blurred outlines of his driver. It’s all very sophisticated, the Jag, the tux, the driver, b&w…

      • jammypants says:

You forgot to include THE man himself 😉

    • Allegra says:

I tried to post a twitter before, but it didn´t work.
This man(@IbsanRaefSiddiq) said that Tom arrived in a Jaguar and he has a pic of Tom and his driver.

    • Catherine says:

My flatmate was down there last night and said there were quite a few Jags (so it wasn’t just Tom who had one -) and Audis and Mercs. It wouldn’t be his own, cars are hired out for events like this.

  57. lilyrosescarlet says:

TOM, my beautiful Hiddles is out and about. He looks thin obv but he is so beautiful that he can sorta pull it off, though I cannot wait for him to return to his normal weight. The video/pictures of after he got his award are stunning he is such a beautiful person and such a modest and worthy winner.
Don’t ever change Tom, we all love you.

  58. Kate says:

10/10 still would bang, gaunt or not.
    Man is ELECTRIC.

  59. 'P'enny says:

I’ve just watched the Muse of Fire [pt1] for the first time, and bless his lilac shirt 🙂 he hasn’t changed a bit, really. i mean yes he has matured, as expected, but he still dorky, funny bloke and considering this is, what 2007? and he has gone stratospheric since, he is still waxing lyrical over everything in Shakespeare and is still as passionate about it now, as then. He really hasn’t changed.

Anyway, I amazed i sat through 45 mins of his shakespeare talk, [Nerd HQ it’s not] he can drone on. But, at least he acknowledges it. 🙂

But, well worth it for the story about the Madness musical audition, it’s hilarious, i would loooove to seem him sing Elton John.

And, yes the hair is amazing. We will be carbon-dating Hiddles by his hair. 50 years from now, we will say that was his ‘floofy era, before loki” and that’s his “red period, post Henry V” That’s his black period, when american directors kept insisting on putting him in a black wig/dye job.

In the future, it will be that’s blonde – Mr Whippy Tom, post Marvel…

    • ellesbelles says:

I started watching it and had to stop. Too much for me right now 😀 Thankfully I’m off work now (3:30 pm in my corner of the world, PST) so I’ll scurry home and settle in with the tablet and just overdose

    • icerose says:

I think I already do that -there is his Coriolanus look which seemed to hold out to Crimson Peak.I wonder what look will come with the Night Manger and Skull

      • joe spider says:

He’ll need to be a bit tougher looking as an ex-soldier in TNM

      • jammypants says:

He doesn’t imo. The character is very debonair. I’m still reading it and that’s the impression I got. Pine has great taste in everything.

      • Lilacflowers says:

For Jonathan Pine, debonair and skilled chef though he may be, he will have to tend a bit more toward the Coriolanus build, given the character’s back story as military elite.

      • Isadora says:

Debonair and tough. Ladies, you are giving me agonal respiration just thinking about TH as Jonathan Pine. If it’s going to be anything like I imagine it to be, then… wow. I haven’t read the book yet (won’t be before next year IF I read it), but from the sound of it I’ve been hoping he would do such a role since I started obsess… er… being a fan. So of course I’m over the moon and I hope my imagination isn’t too far off the mark.

      • jammypants says:

The character is really sexy. He’s quite vulnerable too, but not in the Sparkles way. All the women in the story kind of feel sorry for him, while curious because he’s very mysterious. I just love that he loves cooking and sailing. The character is described to have beautiful hands as well.

    • Lilacflowers says:

The Pirates of the Caribbean audition was rather funny too but The Madness one must have been hilarious.

    • MaximeduCamp says:

Thanks for reminding me this was out. I watched the entire 45 minutes and frankly could have listened for another 45 (I am a Shakespeare nerd, although not quite as big a Shakes nerd as Hiddles). Dam he was articulate for a mid 20-something, and while he rambles a bit, he stays on point and you can tell it’s due to his passion for the subject. I also enjoyed the in depth look into his process and I have a feeling that it hasn’t changed much, although I do wonder if the current pace of his career is a bit frustrating for him as I imagine he doesn’t have as much time to research and prepare for each role–let alone get any down time in between–as I imagine he would prefer.

After I saw him in all three of the Hollow Crown plays and Coriolanus (sadly via NT Live, not live at the Donmar) I was taken with how he spoke the words as if he were speaking contemporary English, using natural rythyms so it was particularly interesting (to me at least) when he spoke about his own discovery of this via viewing plays and working with more experienced colleagues just after graduating from RADA.

      • Dara says:

@Maxime – I loved that part, I’m always amazed when he tosses out lines like it’s a spontaneous thought or improvisation. Some of it sounds so modern I questioned if those lines were even in the original plays. They are, I re-watched the HC reading along with the text in front of me and every single casual and throwaway line is there, and has been for 400 years. Damn, that’s some fine work he did bringing those words back to life.

  60. icerose says:

Timothy Small won the 2014 New York Film Critics Award. Nothing for the Imitation Game??

  61. Grace says:

Anyone seen Muse of Fire? 🙂

    • Lilacflowers says:

Yes. It is on itunes and it is quite entertaining. Two guys go on an international road trip to discuss Shakespeare with anyone in their path. The respect, awe, and love they show for Judi Dench is touching and she is generous and hilarious in return. Jude Law and Ewan McGregor look amazing.

  62. icerose says:

Timothy Spall one beat actor at New York Critic Awards. Nothing for Imitation Game?? I saw something flash up that it had been nominated for 7 NTC awards ant then it disappeared.

    • Isadora says:

He deserves it though, I’m glad he gets recognition. I haven’t seen the Turner film yet (although I really want to), but he’s a great actor.

It’s not gonna happen but I would absolutely love if he get’s the best actor Oscar. Finally someone who is not over the top campaigning – the way it was handled the last few years is a bit tiresome.

      • icerose says:

@Isadora It is Sony and I wonder how much they put into campaigning but they dis well at the recent independent wards

      • joe spider says:

@ Isadora – I enjoyed Turner more than I did The Imitation Game actually.

      • Lilacflowers says:

I’m really looking forward to seeing Mr. Turner. Spall is long overdue for recognition. Not that I have any say in Oscar voting, but the best performances I have seen this year: Philip Seymour Hoffman in “A Most Wanted Man”, John Lithgow in “Love is Strange”, Tom Hardy in “Locke”, Keaton in “Birdman”, Redmayne in “Theory of Everything”, Renner in “Kill the Messenger”, Jake Gyllenhaal in “Nightcrawler” and Steve Carrell in “Foxcatcher.” Jake seems to be getting notice in the critics and indies. Carrell is not recognizable in appearance, speech, or manner. Mindblowing.

  63. ellesbelles says:

Finally home! 3 hrs after getting off of work. I had multiple stops to make and now I’m tucked in with this post in one tab, the muse of fire interview loading up in another, and Thor: The Dark World on low on the tv. Sorry not sorry.

Loki in chains is doing things to me

    • Dara says:

I just finished muse of fire interview – bloody hell that was fun. Is there really another one to come later? An embarrassment of riches for my inner Shakespeare geek. The boy sure is easy on the eyes ain’t he? Not hard to listen to either.

Loved what he paraphrased from Michael Grandage (?) – you never know about audiences, someone in seat 19B could be having a life-changing experience, while the guy in 19C could just simply be losing the will to live. So true!

      • ellesbelles says:

im having a giggle at myself, because I swear about a month ago if you asked me who Tom was, I’d give you a blank stare, then I decided to watch Thor on demand, and was like hmm.. Came to CB for Otter posts, then jumped ship to Hiddles posts when it got a little too much for me, and I’m completely gone. Head over heels in lust with this man

      • TotallyBiased says:

One of Us! One of Us!
yeah. Well. I didn’t think I liked boys, so look what happened there. Stoopid Loki. Stoopid Prince Hal. Stoopid King Henry IV.
        Sigh.
Haven’t looked back, not for one second.

      • Dara says:

I hear you. I certainly didn’t plan on being this smitten with a vaguely famous, semi-nerdy, posh British actor and I’ve tried to be low-key and chill about my affection for this guy, but I just can’t.

May I officially welcome you to the giddy madness that is the Dragonfly kingdom.

      • ellesbelles says:

@TB I cannot willfully support Woody Allen so I cant watch MiP, and from what I’ve heard, in War Horse his performance is achingly beautiful and heart wrenching so I’m not quite ready for that. I’m still recovering from hollow crown and coriolanus!

The Thor movies are safe for me haha

      • ellesbelles says:

@Dara I tried. I tried so hard to stay indifferent. Keep it cool, like oh hes a handsome lad isnt he?

Nope. Full Sprung. I’m an adult! 33 yrs old and acting like a silly girl.

      • Dara says:

Oh @elles – I thought of another interview thingee. This behind the scenes blurb about War Horse is one of my fav’s- you might have found it already, sounds like you’re in deep.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqkcENN3IMI

Warning – MAJOR spoilers, but the raw footage of the boys filming the horse charges is awesome. There’s also some good vintage Cumby, before he started down whatever path he’s on now. It’s great to see them both on the verge of all the amazing things to come.

    • ellesbelles says:

@Dara I am for sure in deep. Not quite to the point of planning a wedding in my head acted out by cats, but I’ve enjoyed a naughty daydream or six… or 15. I have a long commute each way to work! Not sure I’ve seen that clip. Anytime I’m on youtube there seems to be more and more videos I havent seen. I’ll give the marvel panels a cursory listen, but I really love the quieter interviews. The only exception for marvel interviews I will make is when he impersonates Chris Hemsworth. Its adorable. My least favorite is the radio interview where he says “Basically I’m just trying to get a bunch of bitches to kneel” I know it was in character for that interview, but it made me frown a little. Dont be coarse Tom, please and thank you

      • ellesbelles says:

argh the way he says Joey in that clip.. *le sigh*

      • 'P'enny says:

        @ellesbelles

the guy swears a lot, he does say the ‘f-word’ as much as I do, in my head. He said he finds it satisfying. Lol. That stupid ELLE interview.

      • ellesbelles says:

@Peny oh I swear like a sailor myself. I guess I should say the tone of that interview wasn’t my favorite compared with others

      • Oh Hey says:

And watch this one too, he is weak-in-the-knees handsome and charming.

      • Isadora says:

Speaking of Marvel panels: there is this one Avengers panel (IIRC in NY??) where it all starts out fine, but then people go all crazy over Tom and pose al their questions to him and totally fangirl away. *lol* It’s a bit embarrassing, esp. for the other actors but hilarious nonetheless. I sometimes wonder if this was the point when Kevin Feige decided he needs more Loki in TDW hahaha… $$$

      • Allegra says:

        @Isadora :
Is Avengers Panel – New York Comic Con 2011
        “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEeBu3y0vJQ”

  64. Camil says:

Oh, mi vida… well done Tom!

And yeah, he looks skinny but that means he is really into the character and I’m glad he is working so hard.

And don’t worry girls, soon he will be able to eat pudding again LOL.

    • Intro Outro says:

IKR? I will take an awful-looking but delivering actor over someone who’s prissy about losing their good looks and hence takes only good-looking roles anytime. Go Tommy!

  65. Lilacflowers says:

Since the Best Actor winner usually presents the award to Best Actress the following year, we can look forward to seeing Tom at next year’s ES Award ceremony, in addition to his triumphant return as undisputed king of SDCC Hall H. Of course by then, after PR for four films and The Night Manager, some may be a bit weary.

    • icerose says:

after a year of starvation I am ready for the feast

    • 'P'enny says:

He will be hitting the film festivals I think next year as well, expect plenty of Luke Evans and Hiddles sharing promo duties for High Rise. I wont be able to handle it, the bromance will probably be as horny as the Hemsworth one.

      • Lilacflowers says:

And the bromance with GDT and Jim Beaver will be back in full swing. Don’t leave Jeremy Irons and Reese Shearsmith out of that High-Rise party. The four of them shared a house while filming and Jeremy has been fully on board since THC. I’m hoping High-Rise makes it to Sundance.

      • Allegra says:

Talking about bromance, Jim B, tweet this yesterday:
” Hey, young brother! Congrats on the Evening Standard award! You keep this up & and you’re going to make a name for yourself!”

      • Grace says:

Did he really? How sweet and thoughtful!

      • joe spider says:

Well that was nice of Jim.

Don’t know if anyone saw the Jeremy Irons Times Talk Madrid which took place the day before Tom’s. He talked about filming the Hollow Crown and said “i used to look at Tom and think yes that’s my son” Said he looked more like Jeremy than his own son, and how good looking he was, and also said what a “glorious actor” Tom is.

      • icerose says:

yes Evans/Hiddleston sounds like fun and I loved Jeremy Irons on Tom,He and his wife were in the audience the next night and you could see their fondness for Tom on their faces. Jeremy also said he hoped he would not loose his openness, and by that I think he meant his willingness to open himself to people and experiences,

      • Josa says:

Luke Evans looks smoking hot in The Hobbits UK premier yesterday. I certainly can’t wait to see High-Rise premier next years. So looking forward to see Evans, Irons and Tom standing next to each other all looking hot.

  66. Lollipop says:

I’m new to the Hiddles train – love Loki! Just jumped of the Otter Madness express. Any recommendations of thing I should watch with Tom in it 🙂

    • joe spider says:

      Welcome to the Train Lollipop.

I can thoroughly recommend the Hollow Crown series (He is not in Richard II but that is worth watching too)that is when some of us fell then discovered Loki afterwards.. And Only Lovers Left Alive.

I see you have already discovered Loki. You do realise that there is no hope once you have fallen. 🙂

    • 'P'enny says:

      @Lollipop
      in order of brilliance IMO

      1}Hollow Crown
      2}OLLA

When you’ve seen them, then progress onto

      3) Archipelago
      4 Wallender

      • joe spider says:

Can’t cope with Archipelago – it makes me cringe, which is what I guess it was supposed to do.

      • Grace says:

@joe spider, sitting next to you on that couch, haha!

      • tigerlily says:

I’m fairly new to the Dragonflyers, I’d seen Hiddles in Thor but it’s not my type of movie and I just thought that guy is too good for this crap. Then (I think on this site) there were links to him doing publicity a couple years ago. I saw that and was overwhelmed by his personality. Wow. Then I saw The Hollow Crown and I was knocked out. I love Shakespeare. I’ve seen bits of OLLA and he was amazing. I think he’s an incredible talent plus very easy on the eye. I am way too old to be a fangirl but…too bad, here I am….clicking on any scrap about him. And I love this site and the commenters.

      • joe spider says:

@tigerlily – I give you a bet that you are nowhere near as old as me. It’s disgusting when I come to think about it!! 🙂

      • icerose says:

I think Unrelated with manipulative, charming and angry Tom is a good one.

      • Anne tommy says:

Tiger lily and joe spider, I am with you in The dirty old women club…but hey, cougars are quite fashionable now and it’s not like we’ll ever meet him…(quiet sob…)

      • icerose says:

@tigerlilly we are out and proud dirty old women who love him a much for his personality as his acting and good looks and if Helen Mirren and Tilda can flirt with him we can admire his naked body when ever it appears.

    • Lilacflowers says:

THC. Unrelated! Return to Cranford. Midnight in Paris shows range and a really good F. Scott Fitzgerald. And War Horse.

    • ellesbelles says:

Hi Lollipop! Im new too and it wont take too much for tom to ruin you 🙂 so far my favorites are thor and the hollow crown. I haven’t seen some of the early work, and some I won’t watch, like midnight in Paris because of woody Allen. I cant with him.
I love all of the YouTube interviews the most

    • jammypants says:

      Only Lovers Left Alive

      • Oh Hey says:

Remedy for a crap day – go to you tube and find the OLLA dance scene. Watch it over and over and over…..

      • Oh Hey says:

And speaking of OLLA, Tilda is the Woman of the Year (gosh I would love to meet her) “http://www.gq.com/moty/2014/tilda-swinton-woman-of-the-year”

      • Isadora says:

Definitely OLLA. Such a beautiful film. I also recommend watching the whole movie, not just the scenes where Tom wears no shirt *lol* because much like the divine soundtrack it lulls you in and the whole atmosphere is great, imho.

Nobody mentioned Unrelated yet, I guess it’s a movie some people find dull, but I think it captured it’s essence quite well and Tom’s Oakley is great.

Btw I think his Loki stuff is worth watching twice because for me the finer points of his acting, the way his face conveys so many emotions Loki would never admit, that got a bit lost for me in the mumbo jumbo of superhero movies the first time. I also find his Loki is best in TDW (although I love his scene with Odin in Thor) and it’s great to see how he continues to work with the character and not becomes repetitive and bored with it.
        I

      • ellesbelles says:

@Isadora I completely agree about Thor. The first time I watched it, I was like.. wtf is this? Not even Tom was saving it for me. And then I watched it again, and then one more time and “got it”. TDW is even better. I love the edge he gives to his voice. Drops the register just a hair and ads that evil edge. In fact I watched TDW again last night. It gets better each time, and I’m coming around to liking Chris Hemsworth as well

      • ellesbelles says:

in other Tilda news, she was honored in some fashion at the Gotham Awards as well ! Not for OLLA but it looks like for general bada$$ery which is a given

      • Anne tommy says:

Watched OLLA again yesterday. Dance scene lovely, as is chess scene. ” Blood on a stick” . Real Tilda and Tom chemistry I thought. Such a good film.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Anne tommy, the entire chess scene from beginning to end is sheer perfection. “It’s all the bloody talking!”

      • MtnRunner says:

Ok ladies, the kids are in bed and I finally finished Archipelago. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the extended takes and camera movement. As an American, it fascinates me how you Brits get on in your controlled, mannerly ways and all the long, awkward silences made me cringe. Ha! Loved the scenery and Tom was wonderful, of course.

How does Archipelago compare to Unrelated? I have it in my cue for tomorrow, if I can squeeze it in.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@MtnRunner, “Unrelated” has awkward moments as well but some beautiful scenery and is a bit more lively. There is dancing and skinny-dipping and a lack of shirt.

      • MtnRunner says:

It’s like you knew what I was really asking for Lilac… heh heh.

      • MtnRunner says:

“Unrelated” was harder to watch due to the cringeworthy subject matter, but I can’t deny that Tom was quite the looker in that one. More so than in Archipelago where I wanted to take shears to his ‘fro.

I’m now a bona fide fan of Joanna Hogg’s films now. I really like her style.

      • icerose says:

@MtNRunner -I find the father son fight so hard to take and you can visibly see how awkward the other feel.

      • MtnRunner says:

@icerose, the hardest part for me what that I could feel ALL of Anna’s FEELS as the outsider in relation to the “olds” and the “youngs”. I’m so sensitive to it in my own life, that I related just a bit too much. I was embarrassed as I watched her get reeled in and rejected by Oakley. I could grasp the ridiculousness of a middle-aged woman being taken by a kid but able to understand why she was besotted with him as well.

And yes, the fight scene between Oakley and his dad was very awkward. My only complaint was how quickly everything was wrapped up nicely at the end. It didn’t seem realistic to me. I liked Archipelago better in that there were unanswered questions when it ended. I’ll be watching that one again and again, I loved it so much.

  67. Allegra says:

    Ladies:
A fan just post another interview with Tom:

  68. Oh Hey says:

In case you missed it, free content, Muse of Fire interview with Tom, pre Coriolanus, pre film, and he is just as delightful as he is now – he could talk to me forever, that voice. Sigh. Best 45 minutes you will ever spend.

    • ellesbelles says:

I may or may not have fallen asleep to it last night *shifty eyes and a laugh*

    • ellesbelles says:

@OH If you use the youtube to mp3 converter thing we talked about the other day, you can convert any youtube video you want into an audio file. I’ve done that with several of his readings and some of the more soothing interviews. I just need to find my ipod. I usually run in the mornings, which means hip hop music, but I also take walks at night, and thats going to be just what I need in the evenings as a relaxer. I cant want to have a couple mile wander with that cashmere voice in my ears

      • Oh Hey says:

I downloaded one that got me some malware and a browser redirect, took me all weekend to get rid of, so I’m a little leery of doing that again, i need to find a trustworthy one. LOL at the cashmere voice- I so agree, I don’t recall ever having that reaction to anyone’s voice, not even Cumby’s which is nice, but it’s not the same. Melty melty…..

      • ellesbelles says:

if I can figure out how to use drop box or some other service like that, I can maybe email you the files, that way its gone through multiple levels of anti-virus. I’ll see what I can locate in terms of how to’s

      • Allegra says:

        @ellesbelles:

You can use Mega, Dropbox , Onedrive or Google drive. First open a account, then upload our files. You can choose between everyones acess your files , in this case, the other person does not need to have a account or you can share with someone you choose, in this case, this person needs to have an account. To share the files is easy, just choose the file and click the option.
I´m going to explain each one to you:
        – dropbox: storage free, just to 2 Giga, but there are ways to get more. Is easy to use.
        – onedrive: it s also easy to use. The storage free, i think is 15 Giga.
        – Mega: I think the storage free is more than 15 Giga, but if youy don´t have a pay account, you just can download one file each time. It´s a pain on axx.
        – Google drive: i like this one because is easy to use. Google gave you 15 Giga too.
If want learn more about each one, you can find videos on youtube. I went there when I needed to learn more about google drive.

      • ellesbelles says:

Allegra you darling lifesaver! I think I’ll do google drive when I get home, and then share the account for anyone here that wants the converted audio files of our tom. Fantastic!

    • joe spider says:

“he could talk to me forever” don’t encourage him, he probably would! And I could think of far better ways for us to spend out time…….

      • ellesbelles says:

nothing a kiss and/or a ball gag couldnt fix 😉

      • joe spider says:

        😯

      • ellesbelles says:

        hello, I’m elles and I’m a shameless hussy 😀

      • Grace says:

Oi! Muzzle, dear, use a muzzle. At least he’s worn one before.

      • ellesbelles says:

hahaha hey now when its my turn to entertain him in the dungeon of my mind palace, we do as we please, eh? 😉

        shameless elles is shameless

      • Isadora says:

Whoever came up with the muzzle for Loki, weither it was Joss or the costume department, this person is great. Because it emphasizes very much just how dangerous Loki is and where his real strength lies – the tesseract is of course powerful and the sceptre too, but even stripped of these weapons and in handcuffs his most dangerous power is his silvertongue and therefore the muzzle.

        Plus it’s hot. *g*

      • ellesbelles says:

The chains in TDW did it for me. Not going to lie

    • joe spider says:

if you leave the ” off each end of the link we can click on it to open.

  69. joe spider says:

Looking at that pic of Ben and Ton at the top it looks as if they have each other’s jackets on.

    • Lilacflowers says:

When I look at that picture, my mind substitutes that guy with Gillian Anderson or with that happy group, including Helen McGrory and Damien Lewis, who posed with Tom. That other guy’s jackets never seem to fit properly and his pants are usually too long.

  70. ellesbelles says:

Ok thanks to Allegra being amazing and pointing me in the right direction for file sharing, I’m tinkering with my google+ account and adding google drive. I will upload all of the audio files I have of our Tom and then share the link here, so anyone that wants mp3’s can download them. I’ve run my files at home through anti virus (Nornton and malware bytes) and it looks like google scans them too! So exciting!

    • Oh Hey says:

      Yay, thank you!

    • Allegra says:

      @ellesbelles
You´re welcome! Hope that my explanation was not too confusing.
You know, keeping your files on the “Cloud” have many advantages such as:
      – you can use it as a backup for your computer
      – acess the files everytime time you want;
      – save space on your notebook, tablet, …
      – it is a easy way to share pics, music, books and whatever you want with your family, friends,…

      • Allegra says:

And before, i forget, here some more tips:
        – if you save a video on Dropbox or Google drive and share with your “guest”, this person don´t need to download the video to watch it, he just need to have the media player, Gomplayer or something like that;
        – media or video requires lots of “space”, so 15 Giga, it is not really that much, so in case you need more, just open another google account. Or use Mega.
        – You can find anything on youtube and it´s better than any manual. I bought a printer months ago and i couldn´t understand the manual, so i went to youtube and find several videos explaining how to use my printer, how to reload ink. It is very handy!

      • joe spider says:

I have downloaded quite a few manuals for my household appliances in to my “Manuals and How To” folder because then ones that come with them are either a crappy two page bit of rubbish or I lose them!

    • TotallyBiased says:

      @ellesbelles–
You are a true goddess and I bless the day you chose to take a walk on the Hiddles-side!

    • ellesbelles says:

uploading files as we speak my darlings! It took me ages to get home. Freak snow storm didnt stay on the mountain like it was supposed to. So glad to be home safe and tucked up. I saw several accidents and thankfully wasnt involved in any

  71. Allegra says:

    Ladies:

There is a new interview that BBC 4 did with Tom. I tried to post the link several times, but it didn´t work. So, try this twitter account : @ajsaladine

  72. ellesbelles says:

alright, here is the folder. if there is anything specific of his you want me to convert, I’m at your service. Its the least I can do for new friends that share my obsession xx

ETA: just added popcorn taxi and hopefully times talk madrid if i can get the file to behave

    https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0mjA7TTKnHaY1lhdW13WTJhcVU&usp=sharing

    • ellesbelles says:

for anyone interested as well, I’m going to put together a folder of Otters stuff too, because shenanigans aside, his voice still does things to me *cheeky grin*

    • Allegra says:

      @ellesbelles:

      Glad that you arrived safe!
I think most ladies here went to bed long time ago because it is almost 3:00 AM in UK and almost 1:00 A:M where I live.
So , have a good night!

      • ellesbelles says:

Thanks Allegra! You too! I think I’m one of the few west coast Hiddlegirls 🙂 But it will be a fine surprise for everyone in the morning!

      • Dara says:

@elles – glad to know there’s at least one other member of the West Coast branch of this wacky and wild club. I’m learning to embrace the ‘delayed gratification’ mantra – usually by the time I can come out to play here most of the gang have long since gone to bed.

Glad your crazy weather didn’t cause too much trauma – it’d be a shame the new audio archivist got buried in a snow drift so soon after starting the job. 😀

      • ellesbelles says:

@Dara glad I’m not by my lonesome! I’m blessed with a job that gives me spots of downtime where i can visit during the day and get my fill in.

I’ve been tearing my apartment up like a madwoman looking for my ipod. I want to download all of these files like crazy. It would make my commute so much more bearable. An hour each way and now with snow, make it at least 90 mins would be much nicer with Tom in my ear reading me poetry and talking about lovely things

      • joe spider says:

Just got up, it is 9.15 am here I live in the UK

    • Grace says:

Thanks, elles! Please accept a virtual token of cinnamon and ylang ylang candle. (Good thing I made a few before I found out about the oh-so-sexy occupussy thing. Now I can listen to Tommy’s voice non-stop, with lovely smells to cleanse my mind, like oh-so-sexy never happened.) 🙂

      • ellesbelles says:

Youre welcome! I’m trying like mad to get the audio for muse of fire but they are tricky in their embedding of video. I’m not giving up just yet!

      • ellesbelles says:

@OH I dont have that one. I will see if I can convert sound cloud files and add them. It turnes out that with that google drive, the files are accessable on my phone now, so I was able to hook in to my car speakers and listen to Tom on the way in to work! Happy hiddle-belle over here!!

      • Allegra says:

        @ellesbelles:

When you put your file on the “cloud”, you can acess them everywhere as long you have Wi-Fi.
One last note, there are 2 ways to share:
        – people can change your files
        – people can´t change your files.
I´m saying this because sometimes people delect files by mistake.

    • Oh Hey says:

Dearest Elles, you clever tart, you are the best! I might just be drifting off to Tommy’s melodious voice tonight….

      • ellesbelles says:

I may or may not be doing the same 😀 Its not easy to find ee cummings, but the one thats there is quite nice, set to some nice background music. I think my favorite is the Jaguar commercial when he says “its all mine” Close your eyes and see if you don’t have a braingasm!

    • icerose says:

ellesbelles @love you for the folders

    • Allegra says:

      @ellesbelles:

      Thanks!
You worked really fast and put so many files there.

      • ellesbelles says:

I tried to get the longer interviews instead of the short clips, but its not too hard to convert the youtube links, so if there is a want or desire for the short ones, no problem 🙂 I still want to add some war horse stuff and the slumber party interview from MTV. That link will always be constant, I just keep adding to the file

      • Allegra says:

        @ellesbelles:

The short interviews are fast to upload and to download. The movies will take much time even if have fast internet connetion.
When you have time, try this video. Its is very short and has Tom speaking french.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PCwOWON2As
        or this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh75IhCqXCQ

      • ellesbelles says:

@Allegra I will add those to the file when I get home tonight xx

    • ellesbelles says:

I dont think I wouldve ever cared to reimmerse myself in Shakespeare and rediscover a lost love if it were not for Tom, so at minimum I owe him thanks for that

  73. joe spider says:

For Oh Hey who wanted Tom poetry in a Scottish accent – I could find one Irish if that will do for now.

This is a collection of poems read by Tom -loads of poems – the recording goes on for ages 🙂 so just leave it running.

A fan took a pic with Tom yesterday.
From @Pixie1337: twhiddleston best night ever! Thank you for being amazing!

    • Grace says:

That’s him back to filming already?

    • ellesbelles says:

I hate to be that person, that checks the twitter posters location, but shes in Shreveport, so my sherlock senses are guessing this pic was taken in Shreveport. That smile though *dead* Bless her for sharing that photo

      • Grace says:

The smile that lights ten thousand candles… and my heart. *hide*

      • ellesbelles says:

you and me both Grace. I thought I could behave like a mature adult about this.

        nope.

      • Grace says:

We’re being respectful though. Well, *cough* mostly. We are okay as long as we are respectful, I think. He’s a talent man, not to mention very attractive. The heart is gonna feel what it’s gonna feel. It can’t be helped. 🙂

      • ellesbelles says:

I said earlier that I haven’t gone full nanny, thank god. I think its safe to fangirl because from what I’ve seen in this fantastic little group, none of us is in crazy territory. Nobody is a stalker or thinking they have a personal relationship with him, and that’s refreshing. We can all be silly and its pretty self contained. I dont go off into my day to life and let the crazy show haha. I keep it contained to here and when I’m home watching Thor or THC, which I then gush about here

      • Dara says:

There’s another photo making the rounds from awards night that has the 10,000 watt smile – so cute! I’m surprised Torrilla hasn’t picked it up, she’s usually first to the party for stuff like that.

It’s with the producer of the Scottsboro Boys and they’re both holding their trophies. I saw it first on Tumblr, but think it is from the musical’s Facebook page originally. I’d link, but Tumblr is blocked on our network at work (from where I am surreptitiously typing this hoping the boss doesn’t come up behind me). I dread the day when our I/T dept runs an activity report and see how much time I spend here…

      • Grace says:

@elles, I’d say most fans of anybody are not nutters whose heads float in the la-la land. There are some overly enthusiastic people out there for various different reasons but most people are okay with admiring from a distance, being respectful and self-contained. I think it’s refreshing to know that he’s keeping a level head. Naming no names but you know what I mean. Tom has spoken mostly very positive about his interactions with fans. He’s a talented actor who is grounded and hard-working. It’s exciting to watch him go from strength to strength, bring us surprises and joy/tears (depending on the film). I am proud to be a fan.

P.S.: Muzzle, dear, look out for the muzzle.

        @Dara, http://www.filmibeat.com/img/2014/12/01-eveningstandardtheatreawards.jpg – is this it?

      • ellesbelles says:

I tried to post a link to the photo from facebook and it was zapped into the ether. If you google The Scottsboro Boys Facebook, they have an album of ESTA award shots and there is one there. Love the mega-watt smile

      • Dara says:

@Grace – that’s a great one isn’t it, but the one I saw was one entirely different.
Golly, it’s a bummer being gainfully employed sometimes – I can’t log into Facebook here either. It’s like they expect us to earn our paycheck or something – grumble, grumble.

I think if you search the #ESTheatreAwards tag on Tumblr and sort by Most Recent it should come up.

This is an old fan pic with Tom from 2 wks ago.
        http://instagram.com/p/veV6o-A_kR/
I went back to read the comments written on it. The guy who took the pic said: “He was smiling when he walked in and when he walked out and was giving off good vibes, so I hope he is doing better than the months you speak of. It’s the least I can do for the kindness he had shared with me.”…” It is always amazing when we can meet people with so much talent and heart. He have off amazing vibes the whole time and he seems to be an all around fun guy too just basing this on our only sole encounter so far but I believe it to be true. ”
Reading this really warms my heart.

      • Grace says:

@Dara, while scrolling down for pics, a post with lots of ‘I’ caught my eye. After giving it a quick glance (my mistake, shouldn’t have stopped scrolling), it’s a real person fanfic with the ‘I’ being Tom’s wife attending the award ceremony with him and Luke… including a thank-the-wife speech somewhere. My goodness. The writers on tumblr don’t waste any time, don’t they?

      • jammypants says:

I like how honest that guy seems. Not like the fangirls thinking he has an eating disorder and feeling depression. The whole “he looks sad” observation. Gah. Psychoanalyzing people from a few sparse images is a huge pet peeve of mine.

    • MtnRunner says:

If you don’t use ” ” around the link, we can click on it…

      • Dara says:

@Mtn – I think some people have had trouble with comments getting eaten if they include a live link.

I found by accident if you select the address (without the ” “) and right-click a menu comes up that gives you the option of opening the link. It’s a slightly longer way to do it than just clicking but it works both on PC and Mac and various browsers. Not sure how it works on a phone, haven’t tried it.

      • joe spider says:

Oh right, thanks Dara, I know there is a very fat comment eater out there somewhere. The way you suggest it the way I do it for those with ” round.

My phone doesn’t do anything as fancy as that – it is purely for talk and texts. 🙂

      • MtnRunner says:

@Dara, got it. I’m on my phone and was having trouble copying and pasting the link.

    • nonnie says:

      Thank you.
      Love him so much.

    • icerose says:

short for Tom unless it was edited oh and they are doing another live broadcast on January 30th

      • Dara says:

I’m guessing it was seriously edited. Other articles/tweets mention things he said that weren’t included. The Evening Standard had a great and pretty lengthy interview with Gillian Anderson, maybe they’ll do the same for Tom (fingers crossed).

  75. RADA says:

He is so precious. I cannot wait for next year to see all his wonderful movies. One of the best actors out there and I aspire to be working alongside him one day.

  76. psychgrad says:

Oh I must be seeing things this TOM HIDDLESTON thread is still open I am very pleasantly surprised.

    • Grace says:

Yeah! On Page 4 but still here. Can we please keep it open until the next Hiddles thread??

    • jammypants says:

I’m shocked honestly. By the way, I wonder if Crimson Peak’s teaser trailer really does come out this month. GDT said they might have it.

  77. joe spider says:

Google Scottsboro Boys facebook and you will find a pic of Tom’s megawatt grin.

    • Allegra says:

      Ladies:

Sorry that I used ” ” around the link. This was the way that I found to post the link without been blocked. Worked it before, but not anymore.
So, fans found another pic from Evening Standard Awards after party.
“@twhiddleston Many congratulations on your well deserved win last night. Also huge thanks for this photo. xxx ”

I’m pretty lucky in my job that I have periods of downtime, like when I’m waiting for file transfers and such, so I’ve been watching a clip from Unrelated (on mute sadly) but who cares. He’s so baby faced and adorable regardless of the character hes playing. *hearts eyes* as they say in the otter threads

  79. joe spider says:

Wonder if Tom has bought any Christmas presents whilst in the US or if the poor lad will being rushing round in the week before Christmas trying to get all his shopping done. 🙂
