Jessica Chastain surprised us all by rocking the red carpet at the Globes. Jessica was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in A Most Violent Year. She didn’t win, but my first thought was that she looked “devastatingly interesting.” This is a rarity when it comes to Jessica. She wore an Atelier Versace halter gown that shimmered in bronze. The gown was tailored perfectly to her bod, and she worked the dramatic vibe to the max. The gown’s contrast with her pale skin was very dramatic, and her sideswept hair looked absolutely gorgeous. Her makeup artist did an amazing job with that smokey eye. She looked fantastic! Jessica also seemed much more confident than usual, which only added to the effect. This was my favorite look of the night by far.

Michelle Monaghan wore a Jason Wu slip gown that, at first glance, appeared too informal for the Globes. Michelle’s otherwise polished appearance pulled off the look. The material shimmered on the carpet and looked pretty hot even if it was a little loose in the midsection. Sleek hair and slightly mussed up makeup framed the look in a sultry way. Michelle wore Irene Neuwirth jewels.

Anna Faris wore a shimmery dress too, but somehow managed to look barely noticeable. I feel like I’ve seen her wear this dress several times. This is Reem Acra, and the light color blends right in with her hair. The dress is awful, but it may have been better in a jewel tone.
