Kristen Stewart spent much of the past week in NYC doing promotional work for Still Alice, the Oscar-nominated film which features Kristen in a supporting role. Her promotional work has been surprisingly breezy and gaffe-free. I mean, she’s not the most eloquent of starlets, but there hasn’t been any major mistake or problem. She seemed relaxed and happy, a new thing for Kristen-doing-promotion. I’d like to think that she’s grown up a lot in the past few years. I’d also like to think that she’s probably happier in her current relationship than in any of her past relationships. So, here are some photos of Kristen back in LA yesterday, out and about with her girlfriend Alicia Cargile. I don’t really think we have to say “alleged girlfriend” anymore. They’re dating. And it’s not scandalous in the least.
This week’s Star Magazine says that Kristen and Alicia are “taking their romance to the next level” by looking for a place together in LA. I’m not sure I believe that though – I thought Kristen only recently bought a loft in LA? And from the looks of the thrice-weekly paparazzi photos, I’d say that Alicia already spends the night with Kristen regularly. They probably already live together or are close to it, but Kristen’s not going to buy another place specifically so it can be “theirs.” Star goes on to say that Kristen and Alicia’s joint style is “funky and a little grungy,” because of course it is. What did you expect, chintz?
There was also a story going around yesterday that Kristen opened up an Instagram account, but Gossip Cop says that it’s not her account. Blah. I bet Kristen does have an IG and she just has all of the privacy settings locked.

I think they’re an adorable couple. They really look right together.
They are a cute couple. I want to see them both cleaned up and glam for a premiere or awards show! Kristen makes such interesting fashion choices.
It’ll be interesting to see if Kristen ever takes her to any events…I think it’ll be a while before that happens, tbh, if ever. Maybe to an afterparty or something, but I’ll be surprised if she walks a red carpet with Alicia anytime soon.
My guess is Alicia would rock a sharp tuxedo, and Kristen would be more “femme” in something black, punk, and very short. Extra points if she does vampy makeup or bold lipstick. I’m just musing, though – who knows how long it’ll be before they ever attend events together?

Kristen does have a private Instagram account. Her fans know it well, and at times they even have screencaps of comments she leaves on her friends’ open accounts. One of them was left on a picture by a male friend of hers who looked very good and she said something like “Stop confusing me! I just figured out I like girls.” Fans freaked out (especially the ones who still want her to be with Robert) so she changed her username, while her friend locked her page. But fans know the new username. It’s 100% her.
Anyway, Alicia and Kristen have been dating for over a year. I don’t know why people are catching up to that just now. They are always together, sharing clothes, getting the same tattoos and Kristen has worn a ring with an A on it for a very long time. And I think they have been living together too. I don’t get why the media is just paying attention now.
Not that she has to, but I wish she’d come out publicly so that her bigot fans can stop being so revolting against Rob and FKA Twigs, and finally move on from them. They are racist and homophobic as hell, so this is their worst nightmare.

Anyway, the photo of them walking together..it’s a hipsterpalooza. My eyeballs almost can’t take all the shabby chic realness going on.
It’s not “for fans,” but the fans are insane and stalk her friends’ instagram accounts. So yeah, fans know exactly what her instagram is, but it’s not like they can access it or see what she posts on her own account — they can only see when she comments on her friends’ public accounts, and it’s never anything directed to the fans.

It’s not just the KStew fans that stalk her friends’ instagram accounts. Some of the fans of her ex who are still obviously obsessed with Kristen do it too! Two women walking down the street carrying coffee and juice is hardly newsworthy, imho. I find this insatiable desire/need to label them as “lovers” and to define Kristen’s sexuality very odd. There was a time when Robert Pattinson lived with his best friend Tom Sturridge in London and they too hung out a lot together and even wore eachother’s clothing. Never once did I contemplate his sexuality because I simply didn’t care! Same goes for Kristen and Alicia now. I may be a fan of both Kristen and Rob but I still don’t care who they’re dating or best friends with now.

Its interesting to me that going by the reactions…her ex boyfriend dating a black girl was more controversial than her dating a woman. Most people just Shrug or wish these two the best. Is inter racial relationships more controversial than gay relationships?
They’re more accepting of Kristen’s relationship because they’re more accepting of kristen. Rob’s always been the villain in this real person fanfic. She cheated on him and they still managed to make him the villain for ending things. Insert dissertation here on how Edward is supposed to be always perfect and selfless while Bella was expected to be fickle and flawed, I guess.
I think they’re in deep deep denial that Kristen is actually gay, or bi, and when they fully accept it we’ll see how many of the Robsten fans she’s able to retain. Rob’s lost them. I don’t know the first half of 2012 was going very well for kristen. It really seemed like the tide was turning and she was becoming comfortable with her spotlight.
Then you know what happened and that was that.

I agree. She was different while promoting SWATH, relaxed, way less nerveous. Actually those were first Interviews I’ve seen with her, watched some of twilight Interviews after. In recent Interviews she also looks more at ease, still nerveous, but I can relate to that and like it a lot.
I think part of the reason this was kept so quiet is there was a bit of overlap between her being seen a lot with this girl and it officially ending with Rob. There seems to always be a little overlap with Kristen.
For what it’s worth: I am her fan and mainly care about her work. I am happy for her if she is happy. I don’t obsess over her privat life because I know she wants to keep it privat. In the last 2 years I’ve seen so many vile comments from ‘Fans’ . I actually don’t think they are Fans anymore if they even were in the first place. Not her fans or his fans, just nasty homophobes and racists, with many other issues. It’s so ridiculous.
Kristen will never admit publicly to her sexuality because in this case it would damage her career. “Robsten” helped sell the Twilight franchise (whether they admit it or not) and it put Kristen on the map. Having the romance go from reel life to real life put butts in the seats and lock in loyal fans. When Kristen was caught Mini-Coopering with married Rupert Sanders that fantasy was ruined and box office receipts for Breaking Dawn 2 were in danger. Hence the reconciliation and the breakup after the series was done.
If Kristen is a lesbian and have been in a relationship with a woman while being publicly recognized as Rob’s GF, it would validate all claims of show-mance to sell the movies. Twihards have been bamboozled over the years to part with their money for movie tickets, merchandise, etc. And what’s worse, the flame wars that sparked over this turned ugly and at times threatening…all so the parties involved gained fame and fortune. Rob’s culpable too if he knew all along.
I was hoping these silly Twilight conspiracy theories would finally die when the series ended but I was sadly wrong. Why is it so hard to understand and believe that a pretty 17 yr old teenage girl and a handsome 21 yr old guy fell for eachother while filming a movie together?!!! Yes, Kristen had a long term boyfriend at the time to complicate matters and Rob never hid his huge attraction and feelings towards her in the beginning. He flat out admitted she was the reason he wanted the part of Edward so badly once he learned the pretty actress from “Into the Wild” was to play Bella. Nobody needed to coax them into finally hooking up because everybody from the director to the producers to the other cast members all spilled the beans in various interviews how attracted these two were for eachother from the very beginning! They met on a movie set, felt an instant and mutual attraction and ended up falling in love, resulting in sharing a home, adopting dogs together, etc. Not many people were really, truly surprised it didn’t last, except for the loopy Twihards, because many young loves at their ages, especially Hollywood ones, don’t last forever. Please don’t try to reinvent history to fit silly agendas because you’re a fan of one and can’t stand the other. There were no contracts or studio pressure to bring them together….their young lust for eachother didn’t need any coaxing from anyone! End of story.
