Lindsay Lohan’s crack lies will be investigated by the LA City Attorney, yay!

I know this is going to shock you, but Lindsay Lohan is… dun dun dun… made of crack lies. Yesterday, we discussed how she magically “completed” her last 15 days of community service in a few days, in between an emergency hospitalization and some Paris Fashion Week parties. Apparently, Lindsay found a London volunteer group willing to vouch for her and sign a letter saying that Lindsay had completed her community service hours with them in London. The whole thing was shady, obviously. And lo and behold, even the California justice system didn’t believe her. Are you kidding?! Don’t you know who she is?! Here’s some of what went down in court yesterday (Lindsay wasn’t there).

*Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, submitted the “proof” of how Lindsay did 80 hours of community service in 9 days and the City Attorney was all “O RLY?” TMZ says the City Attorney asked the judge for two weeks to investigate the Cracken’s claims.

*One of the biggest problems is that Lindsay thinks shaking hands with fans after performing Speed-the-Plow counts as community service. For real.

*An insider told Radar: “The prosecutor was just given the progress report this morning and there are some big questions that need to be answered. Specifically, dates when Lindsay was in the hospital being treated for Chikungunya are listed as days she was completing community service.” How is her hospitalization “community service” again?

*The City Attorney also asked for proof – in the form of some doctor’s note – that Lindsay really was diagnosed with chikungunya. Holley handed in some paperwork proving that Lindsay was ill, but TMZ still doesn’t know if Holley has any kind of medical signoff on Lindsay’s alleged condition. Holley did speak to TMZ after appearing in court, and Holley swore up and down that she did submit proof of the diagnosis.

At the end of the day, the judge set a court date of February 18th to give the City Attorney time to investigate the situation. But the judge denied the City Attorney’s request to have Lindsay come to LA in person to go under oath about her crack lies. So… she’s still going to be partying in London and Paris (and wherever else) for the next few months. Maybe she can get some community service credit for spending time with Dina and Ali?

    Sigh.
Nothing will happen to her, as usual. No wonder she acts like rules don’t apply to her; they dont!

    • The other paige says:

EXACTLY-any nonceleb would have been in the slammer YEARS ago….

    • katy says:

Thanks to Shawn Holley – remember when she had that train wreck of a lawyer? He almost failed with getting her out of a jail sentence. Shawn had to come in and save the day – she is worth every penny and more!

  2. Charlotte says:

Not going to bother getting excited about this. Burnt too many times.

  3. Loopy says:

I don’t see the point of someone doing community service in another continent when they committed the crime else where, is it just some sort of punishment or are they suppose to give back to the community they disrupted which again would make no sense why she can do it anywhere else.

    • Tifygodess24 says:

Exactly. Once again nothing will come of this. I’m tired of celebrities being above the law.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree, and would also add that I see no reason for celebrities’s community service to be different from non-celebrities, as in Kanye’s visiting an art school to motivate the students. While some posters made valid arguments for the value of their contributions, I disagree. We all have talents that are not taken into consideration in these sentences. I doubt I would be allowed to bake cookies. So I think if I would have to pick up trash along the highway, so should she. In the place where she committed her crimes.

      • Loopy says:

GNAT yes I would love to get community sentence and be told to go give a class on HR Consultation too. And what case is this ?? Is she STILL doing community service on that high speed chase from years ago?

      • DarkSparkle says:

        agree 100%

    • Kiki04 says:

Normally I would totally agree with this, but I’m really not on board with a reason for Lindsey to come back to the US……….

  4. NewWester says:

Lindsay drinks vodka on the rocks with a Teflon chaser. Nothing sticks to her. The City Attorney is wasting their time

    • swacj says:

Totally agree that the city attorney is eating time and money. It was my first thought when I read the story yesterday.

  5. Lucy2 says:

Of course she lied, but they’ll probably give her another extension or just ok it. The prosecutor is probably so sick of seeing her name! And I’m sure she will find some “doctor” to write the letter (and a prescription or ten while they’re at it).
She should have done the community service in the community that she harmed, and it’s ridiculous that she doesn’t have to be there in court now too.

  6. grabbyhands says:

    “Investigated”.

    Right.

  7. scout says:

JAIL TIME asap. Only thing which might work on her and save her from herself. It worked on Robert Downey Jr, Paris and others.

  8. Shambles says:

So Goop is a pretentious, steam cleaned a-hole and Lohan is a crack liar made of crack lies. Shocking news day in the world of celebrity gossip.

  9. MrsBPitt says:

Maybe someone needs to investigate these judges that just let LL her get away with all this nonsense!!! I feel bad for the prosecutor…everytime he tries to get LL some kind of appropriate punishment, the judge is always on LL’s side…

  10. Debbie says:

Honestly just throw her in jail and forget the key. She isn’t going to follow the law she isn’t going to stop doing what she is doing and she has been given more chances then anyone deserves.

  11. OhDear says:

At this rate, the only thing that will save her is to hit rock bottom. Don’t think anything will come out of this investigation, unfortunately.

  12. mmm says:

just playing devil’s advocate here, but I thought it would be something much more ridiculous. 80 hours in 9 days sounds very feasible.

    • swack says:

Feasible for normal people that get up at a normal time. But I doubt she is doing almost 9 hours a day of anything other than sleeping.

    • Migdalia says:

If you’ve seen her reality show there’s no way she worked for 9 hours for 9 straight days…doing what exactly? Also the average person shouldn’t even work more than 6 days in a row before burnout occurs and shes not exactly the healthiest person out there.

    • anne_000 says:

As for the ridiculousness regarding what CS hours were credited to her, here’s what TMZ says:

“As we first reported, Lindsay got 18 hours credit for meeting and greeting fans after her London play.

And Lindsay got 70 hours credit for allowing young people to follow her around for “work shadowing experience” … pretty incredible, since she wasn’t working at the time.”

And like the above article says, she’s claiming hours for the same time she spent in the hospital.

  13. kri says:

Come on you guys!!! Give her a break! Girl has been through so much! Think of all of the times people were rude enough to get themselves run over, or how jewelry stores were so mean, and didn’t want to give her necklaces, or that nasty vodka made her get drunk! It’s not her fault, and she did all that community service! Yeah….

  14. smee says:

Hasn’t the State of California wasted enough $ on this b.s. already?

  15. Shauna says:

Has she ever stuck to anything for 9 days in a row?

  16. KML says:

Every time I hear about LL or Chris Brown blowing off community service, it kills me. After a very stupid choice a few years ago, I was in some minor trouble and the bulk of my punishment was community service hours and an alcohol ed class. You hear it again and again, service hours CANNOT be missed. A lot of people also have to finish them by the middle of their probationary period-you don’t get a year to try to pack in a few hours at the eleven month mark. Someone in my class ended up in jail for a few days for cutting the hours short by 15. Oh, and I also have a 9-5 job, so I ended up taking vacation days to complete my hours. THIS is how the average person gets treated-and I live in California! UGH. Can’t even read about this mess anymore.

  17. Hope says:

I’m sure Linds had several people lie for her to say she completed her hours and even if they prove it nothing will happen other than adding more hours which she will also lie about

Unless she’s supervised by someone who can’t be bought off, I don’t believe she’s actually doing all the required hours.

    • swack says:

Agree. The last time she had CS hours at the morgue they had her on a strict amount each month and she had to report once a month to check if she had done the hours or not. Even then she waited to the last minute to get them done.

  18. Anoneemouse says:

So they will spend a boatload of money the state probably doesn’t have to investigate this known liar and then what? Throw her in jail for 16 minutes due to over-crowding?

  19. Hannah says:

You might want to change your header. Terry White, the prosecutor in this case, is the Chief Deputy City Attorney for the City of Santa Monica not LA. (The car crash occurred in SM.)

  20. jwoolman says:

They really do need to go after these lying celebrities. Other people give up weekends and vacation days to get their community service sentences completed, and they are supervised to make sure they really do it. The sentence in this case was quite light and there is simply no reason why Lindsay couldn’t have finished it long ago. She just is trying to get away without doing anything, and that’s why they do need to go after her regardless of the cost. Keeping people in jail and prison costs ridiculous amounts of money, too, and so do trials in general. It’s not a matter of cost. The law has to apply to everyone. Lindsay puts the scoff in the term scofflaw.

I doubt very much that she really had the virus she claims, otherwise she would be tweeting her medical records. This is just her pattern. She tries to get out of court mandated requirements by choosing some excuse in the headlines. Remember her claim that she lost her passport and mysteriously couldn’t get another one from the embassy or consulate like everybody else who loses their passport? She then claimed she couldn’t leave France because of volcanic ash, when it was easy to show that France was unaffected and the planes were not grounded. It was only when the judge and prosecutor refused to play her game that she got her butt over here for the mandatory probation hearing. That was when they put an alcohol monitoring device on her and she proceeded to claim oopsie “somebody spilled a drink on it”. She had been given a year’s extension on meeting that court’s very non-onerous sentence requirements back then, too, and still wouldn’t do it. Fast forward to her sentence for theft (which she commited while still on probation for earlier activities) and same story. She gets fired from the cushy customer service assignment and tries to switch to “homework” for the Red Cross so she can hire someone else to do it. Yet another judge refused to play her game and had to get her through her CS time by threatening her with jail if she didn’t follow the judge’s schedule month by month. She still was procrastinating, but finally got through her CS at the morgue (which also refused to play her game and actually (gasp!) insisted she show up and work). She (or somebody) has spent millions in lawyer’s fees rather than just spend a few days doing the CS. She even tried to avoid court orders when sent to essentially lockdown rehab, she managed to switch rehabs midstream to get more comfy. She had nothing to do and could have done her CS soon after rehab, but of course she didn’t.

She acts like a 13 year old testing her parent’s curfew rules. She claims she has changed but she really hasn’t, she’s playing the same old game and anybody who hires her is an idiot. I don’t know what threat she had over her head to get her to actually show up for Speed the Plow performances for two months, but that clearly was an anomaly. The threat wasn’t enough to make her actually learn her lines and pick up some real stage acting skills, she just “showed up”. She doesn’t feel threatened enough to “just show up” for her community service sentence.

  21. TiashaLaRue says:

I like I use her as a type of boogeyman for my children. I.e “oh you wanna go to Hollywood and be a big star…..let’s see how Miss Lohan is doing g shall we?” so far it’s been a success.
