Grammys Open Post: Hosted by Taylor Swift’s endless supply of onesies

wenn22155880

Here is your Open Post for this evening’s Grammy Awards. Our hostess for this year’s Grammys’ Open Post is Taylor Swift and her onesie. Chica loves a onesie. She loves showing off her legs, which is fine because she has great legs. But her love of onesies is exhausting. These are photos of Swifty at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy gala on Saturday night. The onesie is by Osman Studio, and you can see the runway look here. It was supposed to be a bit slouchy and Taylor had it tailored so it fit like a glove. Eh. It’s literally called a “playsuit.” Oh, and her hair and makeup are pretty bad here.

I actually think tonight’s show is going to mostly be about the music, right? There’s no giant stunt queen performance, unless you count Madonna shilling her new album – she’s reportedly going to open the show, which should be interesting. But other than that, it really feels like this year, people are simply excited for the performances and duets and such. Swifty isn’t performing – she was too busy rehearsing for her tour, so she won’t perform any of her blockbuster hit singles. But she will be there in the audience, dancing and singing along with all the songs.

We’ll have full Grammy fashion coverage starting bright and early tomorrow, plus we’re also going to have full BAFTA coverage too. Personally, I’m more excited about the BAFTA coverage, but that’s because I LOATHE Grammy fashion. Still, it will be interesting to see Madonna, I guess? And Beyonce and Jay-Z.

My Twitter is here. Bedhead’s Twitter is here. Celebitchy’s Twitter is here. We’ll tweet some stuff as the red carpet gets going.

She looks good in just about anything but I’m not a fan of onesies on grown ups. Taylor could do SO much better.

    • atrain says:

All I can wonder is “how do they go to the bathroom?” No adult should have to take a zipper buddy to the restroom with them.

    • Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

When I saw the headline I thought she was going to be in a range of cute animal onesies. I really did.

  2. Dream Big says:

I wish she would just embrace her natural curly hair!

    • MG says:

I think the color of her hair is horrible. No shine, just blah.

      • Dolce crema says:

Oh I love her hair colour, it’s thAt youthful natural blonde that can’t be faked

      • Ramona says:

I’m a natural blonde and I’m the same colour as Swifty. Looks natural to me. Although not a fan when I see pictures of her I always congratulate her on not being a bottle blonde when so many are.

      • MG says:

Maybe you’re right, the color isn’t bad, her hair just looks unhealthy and damaged. On a side note, great legs, beautiful girl and bugs me a lot less than she used to.

    • Amanda says:

Me too. Her hair must be fried from all the straightening and colouring.

    • Nikki L. says:

Good lord, her hair. It’s rare that her short hair has been styled to look nice since she got it.

      • GingerCrunch says:

My hairdresser tries to demonstrate a severe side part like this on me and I just roll my eyes and am so relieved when she fixes it. It’s ugly, sorry.

  3. aims says:

She has great legs, that’s it.

  4. Elyse says:

Her combover hair gives me rage. I like the length, but those bangs drive me nuts, and I usually love all bangs. I wish she would do something other than onesies and crop tops. And closing her mouth when she poses.

  5. Cali2002 says:

    BOOoring!

  6. SpookySpooks says:

Is it true Taylor and Hozier are together?

  7. megs283 says:

I’m watching E and I haven’t heard of most of these people…I guess I’ve been spending too much time listening to country! This Charlic MCX? Girl adorable!

  8. Kidoa says:

I love Taylor’s onesie! The hangover gin blossom eyeshadow she’s rocking is amazingly too. I’m totally ordering up this whole look for my birthday party that only Sixer is invited to.

  9. Winterberry says:

Onesies don’t really belong on anyone over the age of 5, I think.

  10. Mrs. Wellen Melon says:

Kim Kardashian’s onesie would have a snap crotch.

That’s my reaction, Swifty: your toddler gear made me think of Kim Kardashian.

  11. Lucy2 says:

I don’t like the onesie but at least she’s fully clothed. The Grammys set a low bar!

  12. Sumodo1 says:

J Hud is fierce! Did you ever think she’d…get her eyes fixed? Srsly, her hair, that necklace!

  13. Janet says:

Not altogether crazy about onesies but I have to admit, if anybody can make a onesie look good, she can.

  14. littlestar says:

Did anyone see Ariana Grande being interviewed? Pretty sure she was high on something. I’m guessing coke because she was so fidgety and kept looking everywhere but at Seacrest. She kept saying she was nervous but I thought, girl no, you’re high and you aren’t fooling anyone.

    • Veruca Salt says:

Yup. Girl was super fidgety and couldn’t keep still. She must have gotten a bit paranoid when Seacrest interviewed her lol

  15. bettyrose says:

Saw pics on buzzfeed. Annie Lennox ftw.

    • Cricket says:

Annie Lennox is a legend! Love her so much and she is aging gracefully. Although I think she hasn’t aged a bit! She looks amazing and Madonna looks like a wax figure,,try hard…

Oh, and wtf was Rihanna wearing on the red carpet, last minute entrance she looked like she was channeling the ballerina from the old little girl jewelry box ballet dancer…

Last thing, did Katy Perry really sing live and was John Mayer playing a pink guitar in homage of Katy Perry and her pinkness?

  16. Kiddo says:

Madonna’s ass looks hilarious. It’s hoisted up by a system of weights and pulleys. Sia & Maddie Ziegler for the heir to Bramhall win.

  17. Sumodo1 says:

    Miley is wearing clothes!

  18. Janet says:

Now if Jennifer Aniston needs some tips on how to wear a pantsuit cut down practically to her navel, she should take a few from Anna Kendrick. She is wearing the hell out of a black pantsuit and looks drop-dead gorgeous. The jacket hangs just right and the pants are a perfect length. She could have glammed it up just a tad with a necklace or a pendant but otherwise she scored a perfect 10.

  19. InvaderTak says:

Wow Motorhead are 50 shades of rough these days.

Edit: whoot the image worked! ha.

  20. Janet says:

Taylor came back later in a teal-colored dress. The dress is gorgeous, but fuchsia shoes? Unh-unh.

Annie Lenox is channeling Morticia. Not her best look.

I don’t get the transparent dresses thingy but Kat Graham managed to look good in hers.

Love Zendaya Coleman’s pixie cut. Best hair of the night goes to Sia and Maddie Zeigler.

    • katie says:

That teal dress and the purple shoes were on tip top POINT! I’d say she was in the top 10 best dressed, maybe top five!!

  21. Kiddo says:

My cat loved AC/DC, and was jumping around like a loon. ???

    • mimif says:

Well hells bells, she’s dynamite! (I heard your cat was crazy.)

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

Your cat has great taste in music. Just don’t play their song “Dog Eat Dog” for her. : )

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

My dog, who wouldn’t eat all day, suddenly ran over and gobbled up the whole stinky plateful of dogfood. A review?

  22. InvaderTak says:

Can they stop inviting Madonna to things? Just make her stay home and save all the other people from having to kiss her exposed rear while she’s embarrassing herself again. And were those leather leg warmers? That’s a whole new level of no. Tights with open toed shoes…uhg. just stop.

  23. Umila says:

Ugh. I usually say really bitchy things about Taylor Swift, but I think she looks incredible. I would give anything for her legs. If only I had a unicorn sweater to wish on.

  24. Janet says:

    Rihanna… you gotta be kidding!

  25. Sumodo says:

AC/DC was a weird choice to open the show.

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

I disagree, and hands down, will be the most talented, and authentic, band in that entire ampitheater.

What other band of mid-to-late sixty somethings, let alone some twenty somethings, can still sell out arenas all over the world in 2015?

“Back In Black” is one of the highest grossing albums of all time. Most of those disposable, pro tools invented artists in there can’t even hold a candle to, nor ever will, to the “thunder from down under.” Horns up.

    • KIddo says:

I thought they were really good, or maybe the cat convinced me.

    • M.A.F. says:

AC/DC is a perfect choice to open. About 2/3 of those musicians in that audience will never open the Grammys.

    • Jayna says:

I guarantee it would have been U2 had Bono not injured himself so badly and out of commission.

  26. Kiddo says:

This is a weird Grammy show.

  27. SpookySpooks says:

Apart from Anna Kendrick and Zendaya, everyone looks awful. What the hell is Rihanna wearing?!

  28. PunkyMomma says:

Zendaya wins the carpet for me, hands down. Swifty’s aqua gown comes in second – the color of the shoes is a bit off.

  29. Sumodo says:

Tom Jones and Jessie J were fab.

    • mimif says:

Kiddo’s Cat was pretty phenom too.

      • Kiddo says:

She wasn’t so excited on that on that one. So I don’t know if I can give it a ‘claw up’. She appeared to be sleeping through Adam Levine…true story.

  30. mimif says:

I think I’m enjoying @KaiseratCB ‘s #grammy tweets more than anything else today (mimosamoas included).

  31. Kiddo says:

I can’t imagine this guy with Swift. Just can’t. How come no cuts to awkward dance moves?

  32. Blannie says:

Annie Lennox is awesome and shows how to age gracefully and still be hot as hell. Her singing is still over-the-top great! Too bad Madonna can’t be as graceful. Her dancing was a total embarrassment.

  33. Anniefannie says:

When Madonna was caterwauling and creaking all over the stage, my daughter kept saying ” Why, Mommy…why?!”
    Pretty much sums it up…

    • PunkyMomma says:

      ^LOL. Wise daughter.

    • Beckysuz says:

Oh my goodness I know!! What happened? Her dancing was just embarrassing. It was so apathetic. That song was terrible too..the whole thing was just uninspired

    • Veruca Salt says:

The commentor, “Your New Friend”, over on themuse.jezebel.com said something so perfect about Annie Lennox’s performance, I wanted to share it with y’all:

“She emphasized the ridiculousness of everything that was Madonna tonight”

  34. Beckysuz says:

Lady gaga really does have a beautiful voice. She should stop bouncing around the stage so much though ..

    • PunkyMomma says:

I thought her voice beautiful, too. Lovely really. Her fake eyelashes looked like little bats on her eyelids, though. 👀

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

Yes, too soon in her journey she let her costumery become the story, and that’s too bad because she has a gorgeous voice and people lose sight of that with the meat dresses and the hatching from eggs.

      • lucy2 says:

I agree – when she stops all the theatrics and sings, I like her voice quite a bit. I don’t know why she feels the need to distract from it with all the craziness.

  35. Beckysuz says:

Mmmm…Usher is my forever dong. I could listen to him sing all day

  36. MCraw says:

    I love kanye west. 😍😍😍

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

Even when he is a jackass, I love him too. People let that get in the way of his talent and (yes, I mean this) his sweetness.

  37. Lahdidahbaby says:

    1. Mary J and Sam were heavenly together.

    2. OMG Yeezus almost did it again for Beyonce. Beck just stayed chill. Wtf, Kanye, fool. Bey doesn’t even care about you. Why make yrself foolish. O yeh, that ship has sailed. Long ago.

    3. Kim. You look so louche. Sparkly bathrobe meant for a 9 ft tall glamazon, not you.

    4. SAM, yes, all the way. Sam.

    • Jayna says:

Kanye was joking. I thought it was great to see him show some humor for a change.

      • Jayna says:

Never mind. He went backstage and caused an epic rant over how Beck should respect artistry and give his award to Beyonce. He said more than that. Kim was so embarrassed by the rant she got him out of there.

Is this guy literally insane? He seems to respect no one else’s artistry.

      • Vampi says:

OMGosh! Kanye wasn’t joking. He almost REALLY did it again. Holy crap…the things he said to E! about it. Wow. Wow.

      • LadidahBaby says:

Jayna, see my earlier post on the subject of Kanye: I love Kanye, and have often said so here on this site even when it earned me a load of shite. But he wasn’t kidding and sometimes he is a jackass, no matter how much I love him and respect his talent (though not his taste in fashion or women). See his comments after the broadcast tonight in which he says he was going to confront Beck for winning and for not giving his award to Bey, but he changed his mind at the last minute because he didn’t want to put Nori at risk. [What?] He says lots of other things about how unfair the award to Beck was. You need to read it and then tell me he was kidding. He wasn’t.

      • lucy2 says:

Why is he so obsessed with Beyonce? She’s got a boatload of awards and more money than most small countries. She’s fine. She doesn’t need him flipping out every time someone else wins something.

Wow, reading the whole rant…he does seem unwell again.

  38. littlestar says:

Nice to see Beck win some awards. Glad that good songwriting can at least win over “those who get the most radio play” once in awhile.

  39. Reece says:

Just saying, the Grammys don’t show live on the west coast. Rather irritating.
On the other hand, I did get to watch the BAFTAs uninterrupted and there’s the internet.
Walking Dead is back in an hour. Therefore, I can thoroughly ignore the entire telecast out of spite.

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

Yeah, it’s not fair. And since I’m a transplant from there, this is one of the few times I can glory in the fact that I’m in the middle of America and can watch it live. Do watch it later though. Some truly amazing moments.

  40. delphi says:

Annie Lennox is the universe. Sia is the galaxy. And Sam Smith is the whole effing world.

Also, my fave ensemble of the night goes to Prince. Because he’s Prince, damn it!

  41. Veruca Salt says:

Jay Z’s reaction to Kanye going up on stage when Beck won was PRICELESS.

  42. savu says:

God so many black-translucent-peekabo effects. Which for the fact I’m a fan of, but on EVERYBODY it’s boring. I hate to say my Queen Bey even went that route. Booooring.

I loved Jhené Aiko’s gown. It was sort of simple with some unique details. Plus she looked SO HAPPY to be wearing it and to be there. I’ll always give props for that. I know I’m partial because I love her music, but it makes me happy to see a non-A-lister/up-and-comer totally nail it. She’s my winner.

Also I saw the stories about Paris Hilton’s latest “enhancement” rumor, and I just think she contours her chest and is AMAZING at it. There was a great article about it on Buzzfeed.

  43. anniefannie says:

    Common and Legend …breathtaking!! 2015 Grammy’s redeamed!!!

  44. Lahdidahbaby says:

    Beyonce, Home, gorgeous vocals.

Does Kanye ever think about the disparity between his own wife and Jay’s? One can sing us to Heaven. The other? No, too easy to finish that comparison. Too easy.

Usher. Glory. I forget sometimes what a beautiful voice he has. Such a moving and timely song.

    • Veruca Salt says:

And to think about how much Kanye ADORES Beyonce, it must kill him to see how different Yonce is from his own wife. Poor guy.

That performance by Usher was incredible. 🙂

      • Lahdidahbaby says:

It actually makes me sad for him, but I know it’s his choice. If his mother was still alive, I really think he wouldn’t have married Kim.

Yeah, wasn’t that whole thing glorious? I love Usher. Tonight I remembered some more of the reasons why.

  45. Jayna says:

    Highlights.

    Jessie J and Tom Jones
The amazing Annie Lennox blew the kids out of the water and showed how you do it
    John Legend and Common
    Rihanna and Kanye and Paul
    AC/DC
    Usher

And yes, haters, I loved Madonna’s performance. That song made me want to get up and start dancing. With such a slow Grammys, it was one of the few energetic songs the whole night, She looked stupid on the red carpet but great on stage.

I love Sia’s Chandelier, but over the same type performance for it.

My beloved U2 was sorely needed last night since their album has some really energetic songs, and we needed another band that rocked a little to bring some energy to the song. But Bono is still recuperating.

The Grammys overall was too slow musically, needed more of a mixup.

  46. Nic says:

Rihanna is giving me Aaliyah vibes during her performance. I never noticed how pretty her face is, I’m always distracted by her outfits. Kanye wasn’t bad during his performance with Rihanna and Paul McCartney, I wish his stop with all that singing in the dark to bad auto tune nonsense, he’s so much more enjoyable without all that.

  47. TW says:

Love the runway relaxed chic version paired with the slouched high boots. I wouldn’t have tailored it in, nor ditched the boots. This just turned it into a romper. With that pretty face, her stylist should pull the Donald Trump comb over back off her forhead. Something sleek and classy would do her well.

  48. LadidahBaby says:

Why does the spelling of my screen name keep changing on my posts? Just on this one thread tonight my posts have shown up as having been written by Lahdidahbaby (‘h’ after ‘La’ and a lowercase ‘b’) and LadidahBaby (no ‘h’ after ‘La’ and an uppercase ‘B’). Not that the spelling matters – I just don’t get why the spelling changes back and forth and I’d kind of like to keep my screen ID uniform so I can take blame or credit for my own posts and keep my identity clear.

For the record, when I registered here a few years ago, it was as a combination of those two spellings: LahdidahBaby. Anyone have any idea why this is happening and what I should do?

  49. BendyWindy says:

Sam Smith had a wonderful night. I was literally scratching my head when Beck won album of the year. I thought most of the performances were a snoozefest. I enjoyed Kanye’s solo performance, Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige (who looked amazing, btw!), and John Legend and Common brought me to tears, though I could have done without Beyonce. Madonna’s performance made me sad. I think she did wonderful for someone in her 50s, but she looked stiff and slow and her choreography was greatly scaled back. Also, from dead on, she doesn’t even look like herself. It seemed like the night for celebrating older acts. There’s usually some of that, but it was really noticeable this year. Thank goodness for my DVR, I just fast-forwarded through the eye-rolly bits.

  50. Ickythump says:

Loved Hozier and Annie Lennox together
