Kanye West has been all over these Grammy posts. He was all over the Grammys. It would have been utterly and completely dull if not for Kanye, so give him that. He might be a raging megalomaniac, but for gossip purposes, he brings the much-needed drama. Starting with his date last night, his wife Kim Kardashian. Kim wore this Jean Paul Gaultier gown which was just… ugh. I don’t have words. The V-neck was too deep and the skirt slit was too high. It felt like she was about expose herself at any moment. The shoulders on this gown are horrible too. Something nice: her hair looked great. Truly.
Now, back to Kanye. He seemed like he was in an especially good mood last night. It was his first Grammy appearance in six years. He was with Kim and he made out with her on the red carpet (she seemed surprised). He got to perform two songs – that terrible “FourFiveSeconds” with Rihanna and Paul McCartney and a solo performance of “Only One”. I genuinely liked Kanye’s “Only One” performance. I like when he does those minimalist performances.
Kanye also got to spend time with Beyonce and Jay-Z and it seems like they’ve probably made up and buried whatever hatchet. Beyonce and Kim even posed together. Kanye also made up with Taylor Swift and they posed together. And then Kanye disrespected Beck, but Beck was such a gentleman about it. Kanye went off on a rant about Beck on E! I just came here to say that exactly. If the V was more narrow, or higher, and the slit was even a few inches lower, I would have been all over this. It’s better than the high waist skirt/ crop top look she has been wearing all over the place. She can pull off the color. It fits. If she had let it carry itself, instead of trying to make it about her boobs and legs, it would have been a win.

And like I said in the other post my issue with Kanye is he needs to stop stealing someone else’s big moment and making it about him. He is not the authority on everything and his opinion doesn’t entitle him to anything. Save it for the interviews afterwards. Taste in music is subjective.
i saw the moment on tv and i think it was more meant to be a dig at himself and he didn’t say anything and as for the criticism about Beck, he did save it for a post-show interview.
I watched it as well but it’s still not cool to make someone’s big moment about you. It’s also debatable whether it was an actual joke or not considering his rant afterwards. He just played it off better.

You think Beyonce should have won because you like her album, but that’s why they have the People’s Choice Awards, which are made to hand out awards for the most popular artists and their work. The Grammy’s are decided by a group of thousands who vote on these things, and these “judges” are supposed to be knowledgable across the board in all genres. Comparing Beyonce to Beck is like comparing apples to oranges to most of us, but that is because not everyone is a fan of both of these artists and what they create is very different. I don’t know what goes into the process, but popularity has nothing to do with it, nor does race as Michael Jackson holds the record for most nominations ever in one night. African Americans have won Grammy’s throughout the years as well, so saying that there has been “disrespect” for black artists is really incorrect. Aretha Franklin, Usher, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Prince, Etta James… are just some African Americans who have won Grammy’s and the list goes on. Beyonce is not the end all be all, not everything she touches is gold, and people are entitled to like an artist or genre that you don’t. That you liked Beyonce’s album and felt she deserved the win does not make Beck any less deserving.

You must live in a bubble. Cuz for most of us life is unfair and it affects us daily! If we applied ourselves in a productive way to work towards change, we can shift or replace the unfairness entirely.

He said he was about to tell Beck to give the award to Beyonce because she’s the only one that deserved it but then he decided to go sit back down because he thought of his daughter and “hurting her”. I think he means he didn’t want this to ruin his career or whaterver. He was pissed in the interview. Kim even said “I wish he had actually did it” and Khloe agreed. Of course Kim and Khloe wished he had as it would bring them some publicity too. Kim said Kanye found that dress on-line and had it shipped and ready for her to wear yesterday. It looked horrible on her. Kanye needs to realize that just because it looks good on a model doesn’t meant it will look good on Kim. I am not a Kanye fan-at all. I find him condescending, and when things don’t go the way he wants them to, he turns into a big baby and throws a temper tantrum. That being said, I think he has a point.
What I disagree with is how he chooses to MAKE said point. he could easily make that point without taking away or trashing Beck. But that’s not what he did, he even said in his statement, he almost took the mike from Beck, I will go with the fact he didn’t as a growing moment for him.
Regardless of Beck’s thoughts on the matter, There were better ways for Kanye to make his point. Kanye his his own biggest enemy, because the way he chooses to make these statements get more press for him, and NOT the cause. Should Beyonce have won? Maybe. Should Kanye have made the remark that Beck should give back the award and let a real artist get it? No. A million times no.

I have thin hair and wore human hair falls for 35 years. Kim is definitely wearing one; it’s easy to tell from that side view shot. In fact, check out the side-view wedding photo Kim and Kanye took 3 days to photoshop. I would bet a year’s salary Kim was wearing a fall then too. You can tell by the hairpiece’s bump set back on the top of her head, and also by the color and textural differences from her real hair (if there’s any left after all the extension use).

If you’re unfamiliar with Beck’s new album, if you’re not a fan of his, if you don’t even listen to the genre, how can you say one was more deserving than the other? Beyonce is the more popular artist, but that is why they created the People’s Choice Awards. Regardless of anyone’s personal opinion, it is insanely childish for grown adults to stand around and angrily make speeches about how they wanted to insist another artist give up their award that a committee decided to give to them. Kanye acted like Beck did something wrong by getting chosen for the award. I also noticed how Kim and Kanye feed off each other’s egos when lame ass Kim found the confidence to voice “amen!” and “I wish he would have” when Kanye was going off on his tangent about wanting to rush the stage and insist Beck give his award to Beyonce. I would say that it is time for Kanye (and Kim) to grow up but it would just be so monotonous at this point. Enough is enough, STFU or go away. Or both.
Save the curtains. How many rugs, curtains and table cloth designs can one wear? The proportions change in each one yet somehow look all the same.
