Okay, I wrote up everything below before we got these photos in of Kim Kardashian’s new blonde hair. Here she is in Paris (for Fashion Week) with Kanye. The blonde looks so terrible, right? And she was having such a great hair moment after her shoulder-length cut. This blonde sucks.
Sigh… anyway, one of my favorite things is when dark-haired ladies talk about hair maintenance. Not just normal hair maintenance either – I loved it when Thandie Newton put it out there that she bleaches her ‘stache. And I kind of love it that Kim Kardashian always talks about her forehead hair and how she lasered it off. Granted, I don’t like Kim’s no-baby-hair forehead look. If anything, it makes her look MORE cat-faced and alien-like. But I do enjoy when brunettes are like, “Yeah, I have facial hair issues.” And that’s what Kim’s new interview with People Magazine is all about:
On her hairy forehead: “I have the hairiest forehead you could ever imagine, and I would always break out and get all cracky on my forehead just from all the hair that I had. So in high school, I would wax it off because there was just so much hair, and then I would laser it off a little bit. If you Google 2008 or 2007, I had the craziest, hairiest hairline, so I did laser it. Everyone would just Photoshop it every time I did a photo shoot [anyway]. I didn’t really change the shape, I just got rid of all the baby hairs.”
The importance of eyebrows: “Eyebrows for me are always really important. I didn’t know how much they shape your face and how different they make your face look. I met Anastasia [Soare] and she was just begging to do my brows and I was like ‘Eh, I don’t know,’ and after she did it changed my life. It literally looked so different. Generally I think that they have a good shape. I love where my eyebrows are going right now.”
She likes pale mani colors: “My go-to nail color is always nude. I like gels, so I like this OPI ‘Samoan Sand‘.”
North is getting into beauty stuff: “She can open my blush, put the brush in and put it on her cheek. Today, she was opening my lipstick. She puts it up to her lips like she know what she’s doing!”
Kanye loves when she goes all natural: “He says, ‘Don’t say that! You look so beautiful. It’s how I like you best.’”

In this post, I’m including some photos of Kim and Kanye out in Paris today, with her newly blonde hair. I’m also throwing in some photos of her old hairline, circa 2008. I really didn’t think she was all that “hairy” but you can really see a difference to how those baby hairs changed her face (plus, you know, all the Botox and plastic surgery).

The blonde is so so bad! Damn, girl. And her hair was looking so great lately-really fresh with a lot of body.
I like blonde hair and all but she has really gorgeous hair (even without extensions) that has such a nice rich, black color. Why eff with that? Grrrrr. And don’t get me started on how damaging it is to go from dark black to platinum blonde. Sigh.

There is actually a product out there called Olaplex that makes the transition from dark to light coloured hair much less damaging. My best friend is a hairstylist and he uses it on his blondes now all the time (I’m not sure of the exact science of it, but it is added to the bleach to prevent breakage and damage). Olaplex is incredible! The transformations my friend has done one peoples hair is amazing. BUT. From the looks of Kim’s damaged hair, her stylist definitely did not use Olaplex.

I’ve heard great things about Ion Color Brilliance powder lightener and developer.
I’ve debated on using it but always chicken out.
I’ve had dark blonde to light brown hair for a while now but it used to be really light blonde for years.
Anybody used here tried Olaplex or the Ion stuff?
Kitten— have use Ion’s ammonia-free powder bleach, the gentler version of their regular stuff. If you have light brown or lighter hair, it will probably lighten you fine with less damage.
I have light brown hair, and I use the ammonia-free powder bleach on strands I pull through a cap, after I’ve done a dark blonde demi base color (Ion’s is great there too, btw). The bleach strips the color from those strands and gives me highlights.
BUT–Do not skip the strand test. Ion’s colors deposit FAST, and the ammonia-free bleach works great, but it’s gentler so it does take longer than the regular formulas. ANY color or powder bleach you choose, the strand test is CRITICAL. The hair looks so much lighter with the bleach in, and if you haven’t timed properly w/ a strand test it’s too easy to panic and wash it way too early. I’m very experienced and I still always screw up without the strand test. lol
Every Ion product I’ve tried has been great, btw. Conditioners/treatments too.

I would agree bad pic but there are other pics out there from other days in which the eye looks the same way. So I am more believing it’s a side-effect of Botox. Her decision to use.
I smile crooked so I sometimes get a wonk eye in photos, but that is some serious wonkiness. Has to be a botox/false lash combo. Who knows what they inject into their faces besides botox too.

I have no idea if her face in 2008 was her naturally-born face, but it looked really good. She still had features that showed her Armenian heritage and her makeup was far, far better- her skin looks fresher, she isn’t wearing that gross nude lipstick, the contouring isn’t crazy, and her eyes look so pretty without those crazy fake spider lashes (I realize she’s probably wearing fake eyelashes in the 2008 pic, but they look better than what she wears now).
That was the point where she should have stopped messing with her face.
No, her naturally born face was much different. I think she started with her nose, and did that a few times before moving on to chin, botox, etc.

The movie was ‘Cult of the Cobra’. Daddy was going to take my brother & I to see it at the drive-in. My pesky younger sister whined, begged and demanded to go, so he caved in & took her also. She freaked when the woman morphed, so Daddy made her lay down in the back seat. My bro & I got soo much mileage out of that..when she would get on our nerves, we’d just say say: ” uh, I feel like I’m changing into a cobra.” She’d have the same freakin reaction.

Blonde hair seems to just make her look like a ghost for some reason, although maybe it’s that dead look in her eyes these days. I don’t think it’s a problem with skin tone, since plenty of darker people have natural or artificial blonde hair and look normal to me. Rihanna looked fine as a blonde, but Rihanna would look fine with a shaved head wearing a trash bag.
But she’s said Kanye likes her as a blonde, so that must be why she does it even though it doesn’t make her look good. Honestly, that man is a regular Jim-Bob Duggar, isn’t he?

Think she did this in LA because she flew out with a knitted cap on that covered her hair. You could see it peeking out when she arrived in Paris. DM has the pics. To me it washes her out. Not good. Still, it looks fried…she removed the extensions supposedly bc her hair suffered damage from it – well, Kim now you’re really doing something for your hair..bleaching is the worst for already strained hair and I really don’t think it suits. her. at. all.
I agree about the blonde washing her out. Kim has a very olive-complexion and it is very difficult to find a blonde that works. With her makeup and her features, I don’t think anything lighter than a light brown will flatter her.

Lots of laser hair removal from her face and forehead especially that has given her face a very unnatural, mask-life appearance; a nosejob and random tweaks to her nose/upper lip area over the years, botox, fillers, maybe an eyebrow raise, and her chin is a lot narrower and pointier.
It speaks volumes to how self absorbed and self obsessed Kim is that she could be that pretty before and still find it necessary to tweak and alter her face continually over the years. She must literally live in the mirror obsessing over every single little flaw. IDC what anyone says, someone that vain doesn’t have much going on in their heads or their souls.

Veneers or some other teeth change..especially the bottom..it juts out more and changes her smile.
She looks good as a blond the same way Rita Ora looks good as a blond, in that it looks weird and clearly not natural but it’s pleasing enough.
