Cara Delevingne denies fight: ‘People love to make a drama out of nothing’

Here are some photos of Cara Delevingne at the Chanel show yesterday. Did you know that Cara only walked for Chanel this whole season? Cara is arguably one of the hottest young models working today, but I can’t figure out if it’s smart or stupid to limit her runway work so severely this season. Cara has other stuff going on, obviously, and she trying to make an acting career happen and she’s already a stand-alone celebrity, regardless of her modeling work. But I’m sure other designers wanted Cara to walk for their shows. It just seems stupid to turn down work like that.

As for Cara’s Chanel runway look in particular… well, this is what Karl Lagerfeld wanted. Nude lips and dark, angry-baby eye makeup. It does nothing for Cara, but whatever. The Chanel show was set up like a bar/party, so that after the models strutted through the pavilion, they got to sit at the bar and have a drink.

As for yesterday’s story about Cara and Naomi Campbell getting into some kind of scrappy tussle, Naomi said it didn’t happen. And Cara’s denial was… oddly-worded. This is what both ladies tweeted:

So… nothing happened? Or something did happen but it wasn’t the weave-pulling catfight that Page Six made it sound like? I have no idea. I would like to think that Cara would not outright deny something that really happened, but she has a history of freaking out when anyone dares to call her out on anything. I don’t know what to tell you! I was actually quite happy believing that Naomi and Cara got into an altercation.

PS… It’s also worth noting that Cara really is BFFs with Kendall Jenner for some reason. Kendall is all over Cara’s Instagram – go here to see.

Please tell me Karl is trolling. Please. There is no way in the world the smokey eye in a strong updraft is a thing. What is that supposed to be? Coal miner’s daughter with TB? Down on her luck lad of the night in industrial revolution London? That’s awful.

    Those eyebrows are a nightmare

    • winkydink says:

Ohhh I forgot how creepy good that episode was!

      • winkydink.ch says:

It was excellent, their outsides eventually matched their horribly greedy and ugly insides. I loved that one and Next stop Willoughby. Apparently, I watched FAR too many marathons during hungover New Years Days.

      • mimif says:

        Lol .ch 😀
That was a good one, too. How bout Time Enough at Last (ouch)…now I want to marathon the TZ.

      • FLORC says:

Lol That show use to terrify me!

      • Kiddo says:

Me too! But you have to catch up on Saul first, so you can watch Banks. He’s getting an Emmy for that episode, or life is not fair. The end.

      • Kiddo says:

FLORC. I think it is still strong.

      • FLORC says:

The unknown and loss of control factors scare me no matter my age.

    Aaaaaah! What the–

Oh, it’s actually just a model in grotesque make-up. And here I was, thinking it’s a an evil come-to-life porcelain doll or a human-mimicking murderbot. Silly me, eh.

  4. Sayrah says:

Some people certainly do like to make something out of nothing.

  5. Abigail says:

I’ve always thought of her as attractive. That make-up job is a nightmare.

    • EC says:

Totally agree. She looks terrible here, and generally I am a big fan of her look and in her “joie de vivre” attitude in general.

  6. Ylenia says:

    That pics are creepy

  7. Arock says:

It looks like someone dug her up. Maybe the other models had different make, but dead flapper is not a look. Secretly, I was kind of hoping the Naomi debacle was a thing- she’s all the crazy but still love her.

  8. ElasticBean says:

    Very Angry Baby.

  9. Talie says:

Lainey pointed out yesterday that she is like Swift — a friend collector. Of course, she and Instagram-fame Kendall would be buddies.

  10. ANNE says:

FAT FACE. Kendall looks more like a model than Cara these days.

  11. **sighs** says:

I don’t like to comment too harshly on people’s visage, but……how is this chick a model? I truly do not understand. *baffled*

    • ANNE says:

Her family has connections with fashion people. Notice that her model friends are also people who got a carreer through nepotism. I’ll say this though: Care looked much better when she started. Booze and coke have ruined her, so she is wise to leave modelling for acting.

    • redrick says:

      +1

Am I allowed to put a hundred “+1’s” on a post? For the life of me I can’t figure out how this girl becomes a big fashion model. If I passed her on the street I wouldn’t give her a second look. That the fashion industry has migrated from the likes of Cindy Crawford to this is just baffling.

    • FLORC says:

Because she’s a good model with a face that takes make up well. A pretty face or “commerical looks” can’t take extreme makeup this well. Often it’s those who don’t look like anything mmodel-like that can pull off the best looks.

Search Cara Delevingne Portfolio and go to images. She has some really amazing photos.
And she strongly resembles a young Margaux Hemingway who was also a model.

      • Melly M says:

But there are a lot of absolutely amazing photos of Cindy, Linda Evangelista or Christy Turlington and they were beautiful women with beautiful faces.

    • vauvert says:

Thank you. I never got it and still don’t. There may be good photos of her, I don’t know, but whatever I have seen on this site… Nope, didn’t like her in any pics, and when I heard she became the face of Burberry, they lost me for good. (I know that sounds extreme but if their ideal customer is this person…. then they obviously don’t want me, and that’s fine. Plenty of expensive brands to choose from.)

  12. EscapedConvent says:

I am truly confused about this woman being a model. How did this happen?

haha! Just saw your post, **sighs**.

  13. Veritas says:

shes never looked so bad. I find it hard to believe people pay so much to look like that. That look is too weird for me. I don’t get it.

  14. bns says:

    Love her.

  15. FLORC says:

Her lack of muscle mass is distrurbing and her body looks like coke bloat. She looks terrible here.

  16. Kori says:

I would love it if the ‘@naomi campbell’ drama comment was subtle shade intimating that NC is the ‘some people’ who like to create drama out of nothing. It’s a single line that can be taken so many ways. 🙂

  17. Iheartgossip says:

How is she a model? Busted face

  18. Wolf says:

How this person is considered model material is beyond me.

  19. Tessy says:

I could never figure out her appeal either, but this is the absolute worse she’s ever looked. Compounded by that horrible hairstyle. It looks like she coated it to stay down with bear grease or something. Ugh.

  20. danielle says:

I believe she has stated in the past that runway shows make her anxious, which worsens a skin condition, maybe psoriasis? I’m guessing that’s why she only walked Chanel. (also, why do I know this? I need to slow down on the celeb gossip and read a book!!!)

  21. Bridget says:

At this stage in her career, Cara doesn’t need to hustle as much – only walking in the Channel show implies a level of choosiness. She’s not my cup of tea though, and I really do think the hard partying is catching up to her because she’s been looking rough.

  22. kitty-bye says:

The Mud color brow & hair isn’t working for her.

  23. Naddie says:

She looks ugly. Like, naturally ugly. And she’s not ugly. Make up from hell, that’s what it is.
