Why do the jeans make you sad? Don’t understand!

    • boredblond says:

The only thing I can think of is I might be sad knowing I couldn’t get those suckers zipped on my best day. I think she looks great. And yeah Meryl!

      • Sullivan says:

Kristen looks great in those jeans. Skinny jeans were made to be worn by women with her body type. Having said that, I’m ready for skinny jeans to go away.

    • Norman Bates' Mother says:

I don’t know what Kaiser meant but it makes me sad that skinny jeans seem to be the only type of trousers available in stores these days and I will never look as good in them as she is. I wish I had legs this long and proportional.

      • als says:

@Norman Bates’Mother – I have the same problem. The only trousers available are skinny jeans. And very few people look good in them – including actually skinny people.

The Meryl movie looks kind of cliche but cute. Also, lol at cdan. There have been articles and Heigl has talked about doing that before for dog rescues, so I love how he tries to repackage it as some “exclusive” scoop blind item on her like he’s the only one who knows. He’s so full of bs. I feel like Bradley Cooper is trying to turn into Leo Dicaprio jr.

  3. Shijel says:

I never paid too much attention to Meryl. I know she’s received ludicrous accolades and awards and and and. But recently I’ve started paying attention. The only person who seems to have her quality and versatility and longevity thus far seems to be Cate Blanchett.
Meryl, what a powerhouse. After years of apathy, I’m finally in awe of her talent. I’m glad she doesn’t shy away from cliche feel-goods.

Is Audra Mc Donald the star of Broadway, Meryl’s rival in awards on broadway, singing in this?

      I assume NOT!

      • KellyBee says:

I agree I felt the same way about her Oscar nom for “Into the Woods” her singing was OK but not oscar worthy. The academy loves her so it doesn’t really matter.

      • lucy2 says:

It’s like when Idina Menzel was in Enchanted, and didn’t sing a note.

I like Audra and hope she does sing, and the rest of the cast looks pretty good too.

  4. Rhiley says:

She looks a little like Jewel if Jewel had a meth problem.

I really, really, really hate it when a movie trailer basically shows you the ENTIRE movie. Which is exactly what that trailer for Ricky & the Flash does. Mom abandons family for rock star career, mom has to come back when estranged daughter needs her, mom works her way back into daughter’s life, mom proves her love to ALL of her estranged children, mom tops off the lovin’ proof by singing wonderful music at her son’s wedding. I mean, I love Meryl, but I just don’t feel any need to see that film now that I’ve seen the trailer.

    Sebastian Stan!!!!!!!

  7. Tracy says:

Meryl is a once in a lifetime. She just is. I’ll go see this. Hell, I’d go see her reading soup cans.

  8. DavidBowie says:

Wow why waste my $ by going to the movie theater when the trailer will do?

  9. Kitten says:

The part in Lindsay Lohan’s hair is incredibly thin-looking. She needs to take those awful extensions out cuz they are destroying whatever hair she has left.

  10. MaiGirl says:

I think Meryl is extremely talented, but she gets Oscar noms for yawning on film at this point, and I haven’t been in love with her performances lately. I absolutely HATED Mamma Mia (besides the fact that not knowing paternity is too serious to be entertaining to me, the singing was pretty atrocious all around), didn’t think that her Iron Lady performance was Oscar worthy at all (Viola wuz ROBBED!), and all she did during August, Osage County is chew scenery like a champ. I was also disappointed when she defended Russell Crowe and his BS sentiment that older actresses in Hollywood don’t have to struggle that much. Clearly SHE doesn’t, but she has to know that she is offered every older female role first, and other actresses in her age group have to hope her castoffs are at least decent!

  11. Talia says:

If she deserves one for Ricky, awesome! But IMHO she did not deserve a NOM for Into the Woods.

  12. Mitchie says:

    Meryl wins…Meryl always wins!!

Sorry, she’s a great actor, but I think she is held to such regard because the quality of acting has gone down a lot. Based on what I saw, I would skip this, despite my love for Kevin Kline. We’ve seen this type of movie a thousand times. So if she gets the award because she can kinda sing and pretend to play the guitar, I lost all hope for the acting industry. Don’t Nathalie Portman this.

  13. Fue McCormick says:

I really have a problem with Mamie Gummer and I’m not sure why … I adore Meryl, though …
