Khloe Kardashian apparently took a female friend, Malika, on a girls’ vacation to Hawaii more than a week ago. I don’t think we covered anything about the trip, mostly because we didn’t have any photos and that means that Khloe was making an effort to fly undercover. Khloe only Instagrammed one photo from the trip – go here to see – and that was Malika. But what if Khloe actually went to Hawaii to meet up with a secret lover? That’s what Star Magazine alleges – they say Khloe has been meeting up with Houston Rocket James Harden. Huh.
Khloe Kardashian was spending time with an undercover guy while in Hawaii – 25-year-old Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden!
“Malika was a cover,” the source says. “Khloé was only there to meet up with James.”
The NBA All-Star splurged on a $8,500-a-night suite at Honolulu’s Halekulani Hotel for Khloé, 31, and his entourage. The group rode ATVs and dined at Nobu before partying at Addiction Nightclub (where Khloé and James left separately to avoid being photographed together). But hiding from the cameras didn’t quite work. The source says the pair were seen kissing on the hotel grounds and that Khloé was spotted on the balcony of James’ room “wearing just a towel.”
Did Khloé trade in one baller for another? Star readers know the Kardashian sister was spotted with retired NBA Player Rick Fox, 45, just last month. But don’t read too much into her hookups.
“Right now, Khloé just wants fun, no-strings-attached hookups,” dishes the source.
So is there a next for James and Khloé? Yes! James will be in his hometown of Los Angeles during the NBA off-season this summer. “They’re definitely going to spend more time together,” the pal adds. “He’s [Khloé’s] latest crush.”
Khloe still has unfinished business with Lamar Odom, but I’m happy to see that French Montana has been seemingly phased out of Khloe’s love life. Honestly, I don’t hate the idea of Khloe just spending some time having fun, not jumping into anything serious. That’s what she needs after all of the nonsense with Lamar. I don’t know anything about James Harden, but my guess is that a 25-year-old NBA star probably isn’t looking to settle down… with a Kardashian or anyone else.

Your comment struck a cord with me … there’s nothing wrong with rappers or professional athletes and being one doesn’t mean your not intelligent, driven, respectable or successful.

Classism yes, racism no. The Kardashians literally do date rappers and athletes. They do happen to be black, but Susan never mentioned race at all.
I think she’s implying ALL athletes and rappers are sleazier/lower class, not just the black ones… which is still pretty messed up imo.
The K and J women are attracted to rich men, with the possible exception of Kourtney who doesn’t follow the same pattern as Kris’s younger daughters. Athletes and rappers are more likely to be newly rich and have lesser expectations for their female partners other than looking pretty. The other categories mentioned (except for actors) are more likely to expect a wife to be able to converse intelligently with their business associates and to be able to deal with various social responsibilities such as charities and various cultural things requiring support. They are more likely to have family expectations about such things or at the very least, a high regard for education. None of these statements are universal and there are plenty of exceptions, but as undereducated, self-absorbed, charity-only-for-personal-profit women who cake on the makeup and rely on photoshop – Khloe, Kim, and the young Jenner girls have little attraction as mates for many men in the other categories and so simply have a larger number of prospects in the rapper/athlete category. Not 100%, but a larger pool.
That doesn’t mean rappers and athletes aren’t intelligent. They just move in different circles and have different social needs. Athletes are infamous for sliding through academic requirements and not getting much of an education themselves, though that is really due to the academic institutions who use them to get alumni interest and donations and toss them away if they’re injured. There are exceptions in that, also. Good rappers tend to be bright and articulate, the really obnoxious ones probably not so much. Anybody can spit out a string of bigoted vulgarities.
The constant cameras must be an impediment also. Kim lost Reggie because she loved the cameras more. Kim’s second husband believed her when she told him being on her shows would “help his career”, but soon lost his enthusiasm when basketball was going to be playable again and he wanted to train. Lamar chose Kardashian kameras over training and look what happened to his basketball career. The publicity is likely to be attractive mainly to people whose career is on the downswing and who actually believe the K hype will help them. That limits the K and J girls pretty much to people in the entertainment biz, which includes rappers and professional athletes. Rich men in many other categories just wouldn’t benefit and are more likely to value privacy.
Kanye actually follows the pattern, although I would have expected different from him because he does come from a background that values education. But his mom didn’t live to see him take a Kardashian as his consort. He himself doesn’t seem to like cameras over which he has no control, but he doesn’t object to his daughter being constantly used for Kardashian promotions (just pretending he’s keeping her off their shows while Kim gets her image plastered all over the tabloids and Instagram). Kanye definitely just thinks about how his female partner looks and shows no interest in her intelligence or ability to use that intelligence. To him, intelligence in a woman seems to be a negative (despite his mother’s obvious intelligence) and an obstacle to his total control over how she looks. But Kanye, although intelligent, has deep issues and probable brain damage from a serious accident. He shows signs of getting worse, so although he is rich now – I wonder if that will last.
Gotta say, I agree with you — regardless of the occupation of the men Khloe dates, the personality of the guy seems to echo and echo again a man of little class. Not to say she should date black bankers or even a white anything, just maybe not a self-indulgent, fringe-of-the-drug circle kind of guy. Good for her for having fun, though she is a married woman (and she might want to wrap that up one way or the other), but it’s hard to understand her taste in men. Kim got fairly beat up for dating Kanye so seriously when she was still married to Humphreys — where is the shock and recoil at Khloe’s path ?

I kind of love James Harden because he is a fantastic basketball player, and he is just enough crazy to keep it interesting without being a total freak or off the rails in any way. Plus, he fascinating looking. Like a total NBA hipster.

James is the woorst! A good player, but so whiny with such poor sportsmanship. I’ll never forget his quote after a 2015 Playoff game against the LA Clippers, “I have been getting fouled. I have the scratches to prove it.”
I guess if this Khloe K. and James story is true, then he’s done (at least temporarily) with the skrippers that he normally hooks up with?
Also, a James Harden and Khloe K. hookup would be especially interesting since he had a thing with Amber Rose earlier in the year ….
