I’m actually at a loss for words. Khloe Kardashian and the Pinocchio Butt cover the new issue of Complex and… sigh. For the love of God, Khloe. Does she really think that people believe she’s al natural? It’s not even the butt implants at this point – the way these sisters jack their faces just makes me sad. Khloe’s haters came out in force and claimed the Complex had done some crazy retouching on these photos, but Khloe posted an original photo and basically, Complex just made some minor edits (like, they made her less shiny), but that’s really what her body looks like. I believe it. I’ve been a Pinocchio Butt Truther since May 2014. Anyway, you can read the full Complex piece here. Some highlights:
Khloe on body image: “I don’t know if I’m ever gonna feel like ‘Daaamn, you look good.’ But I’ve never felt as comfortable in my own skin than I do now.”
On her sisters: “I am a lion and these are my cubs. Don’t f–k with my cubs ’cause I will rip your head off.”
Defending 17-year-old Kylie: “Sometimes things bother her. When it comes to her lips, I knew it was one of her biggest insecurities. She used to always take pictures covering her mouth. I didn’t even know when she first did her lips. It wasn’t noticeable, then it started getting bigger and bigger. I guess that was something she just wanted. I always wanted a boob job and I wear a padded bra all the time.… Kylie might be 17, but from what Kylie has been through and the life she lives, she’s not a normal 17-year-old.”
She claims she didn’t get a boob job: “I went to a consultation when I was 18 and my dad found out and got so mad at me. He died shortly after, and I remember just being like, “Well, he doesn’t want me to do it.” I wear push-up bras anyway. I’m all for stuff if it’s for you. If you want to get plastic surgery, I’m for that, but getting your lips filled in, that’s temporary, too.”
On Kylie’s relationship with Tyga (who is 25): “I think at 16 I was probably f–king someone that was in their twenties, for sure. I wouldn’t say I was even dating, probably just sleeping with them. But again Kylie is not a normal 17-year-old. You’re not gonna say, ‘Hey, so what are you doing this weekend?’ and have her say, ‘Having a slumber party at my girlfriend’s,’ or ‘Going to prom.’ That’s not what Kylie does. Kylie is taking business meetings and bought her first house, or she’s going on a private plane with Karl Lagerfeld to take a meeting. That’s not even what people do in their thirties. It’s a rare circumstance, so let’s treat this as a special case.”
Whether Khloe slut-shamed Amber Rose: “I just feel like it was unnecessary for her to say anything, and I used her own quote back. It was from her talking about when she became a stripper so I’m like, “How are you judging and saying Kylie should have a curfew?” What I thought was crazy was she was telling my sister to act a certain way or have a curfew, but [she wasn’t] doing the same. So just don’t comment. How was I slut-shaming by saying don’t throw stones at glass houses? There was no slut-shaming. I am not one to slut-shame, I have done slutty behavior myself.”
On Kim’s marriage to Kanye: “Kim and I are way more understanding of each other, but Kim being married to Kanye [West] is a completely different Kim. Kim is so at peace with herself… What I love about Kanye is that he wants to build her up instead of take her down. Kim is so gorgeous and also a gorgeous person and people don’t really see that because they’re blinded or distracted by all of this. I think men want to break her down so they can control her.”
On French Montana: “We haven’t dated in a few months. I’m friends with him. I talked to him recently because his best friend was just murdered. He’s a great guy, super funny, a sweetheart.
On being cool with exes: “When you f–k someone, why would you not…. Like, if someone has seen my vagina, I think it’s OK that I say hi and give him a hug hello.”
There’s so much stuff in this interview, I didn’t even get to the Caitlyn Jenner parts or where Khloe is talking about her mom, Lamar Odom and a ton of other stuff. It’s actually one of the better interviews I’ve read with Khloe – she talks about how hurt she was that Caitlyn didn’t tell her about transitioning earlier, and how weird it is for Kris to be dating younger men, etc.
As for the stuff about Kylie… Bedhead will probably be writing about it today or tomorrow. I personally think Kylie is a really messed up young woman doing permanent damage to her face and body. As for the Tyga thing – in theory, and on a case by case basis, I would not have a huge problem with a 17 year old dating a guy who is, like, 20 or 21. But Tyga is 25, he had a fiancée and he has a child. It’s really messed up.

I wouldn’t say trashy because people aren’t really trash. But I do think Khloe and Kim at some level want to do porn. They want strangers to get aroused sexually by looking at them or their pictures. I don’t understand it, but I’ve always felt comfortable with myself and have a lot of other skills that I use every day. Demon Mother Kris really did a number on those two. Kourtney seems to have been spared because she identified more with her father and was old enough at the divorce to know all the crap her mom was doing and disliked her for it. It’s not surprising that Kourtney is also the only K girl to graduate from college and to actually work at a business. Well Kim asked her mom to put her on birth control at 14 because she wanted to have sex. This family has no dignity or shame…they love to announce every little detail of their lives that we don’t need to know…but then lie about the bigger things (like their fat injected asses). They think if they tell a few truths we will believe the big lies. Nope sorry, Khloe’s ass is fake. You can’t lose that much weight but somehow manage to grow a bigger ass. My mom put me on it at around 14/15 because she wanted to make sure that if I was having sex, I was going to be more protected… and I also had miserable periods. People always pull out the birth control thing, but I came from a family that was high on supervision and relatively big on modesty and semi-religious… but I was on oral contraceptives.
Thing is – if a teen wants to have sex, they’ll find a way. If they’re telling you they plan on it – give them the protection you can, I guess. Despite the pill, it was another 2.5-3 years before I did.

@Word: Of all the bad decisions Kris Jenner and Caitlynn Jenner have made as parents, putting their teen daughters on birth control wasn’t one of the bad decisions. We can pretend to live in a purity la-la land where teens don’t have sexual desires and curiosities, where everybody waits until they’re at least 18 to have sex, and where if you just tell a teen: “Don’t have sex until I’m okay with it”, the risk of teen pregnancy will magically disappear, but that’s not reality. I think it’s much better for a parent to accept the fact that their daughters and sons are sexual beings and allow them to use birth control, then withhold birth control from their daughters in order to hold on to a fantasy that everyone will remain innocent and asexual until the night of their 18th birthday just because it’s what their elders wish for.
@Erinn – This. I was a high school teacher and had no blinders on when it came to my children as teenagers and sex. I had my oldest on birth control (started because she was 13 and had an ovarian cyst and this was a way to prevent another one) but still did not take her off of it when I could have. Told my middle daughter if she was thinking of being sexually active I would put her on the pill. The youngest one was pretty savvy when it came to protection. They were not bad parents for putting their daughters on the pill. They (and I say THEY) are bad parents because of other tings.

Most surveys say that the average age for first sex at somewhere between the ages of 15 and 18, for both males and females, and not everybody- whether they’re straight, gay, bi, or pan- is looking for a committed relationship when they’re new to sexual activity. It doesn’t mean there’s automatically something ‘wrong’ with everybody who’s within that age range and experiments with sex without pursuing a long-term relationship, any more than a 16- or 17-year-old still being a virgin or ‘waiting until romance’ automatically means that everything is alright with them.
You’d be surprised… in my country (Mozambique, southern side of Africa), having casual sex is freakishly normal and when I was in my teens I was considered a freak for not doing the deed.
I said this in another post about Kylie and Tyga, but to some of us this is not too shocking, I understand the outrage because this girl probably started having sex at 16 or so, but I had friends at 17 that were dating 22-24-27 year old guys, because well guys are really immature, so we had no interest in dating guys our age because they were just douchebags who wanted to grab things for fun and brag about it.
Which didn’t make them sluts or anything, they weren’t sleeping around or anything… weren’t seduced by mean older guys.
Some of my friends lost their virginity to these guys and they don’t feel they have been “raped” or forced. Truth is, in our late teens is when many of us start getting the “itch” and older girls or boys are extremely appealing because of levels of maturity, and, unless there is a 10+ year difference, no one really sweats it if there is a 17-24 18-26 couple.
but,again, this is my experience as a citizen from this country. I understand this can be shocking to many… in different places of the world. And I am also not condoning this behaviour, I’m just saying it doesn’t shock me (although it does gross me out because i think he’s gross overall).
It’s going to vary with culture and opportunities and expectations. Many places don’t expect girls to do much in the way of education or else it’s expected that any children will be raised by the grandparents while the young woman remains free to get an education or have a career (a friend who was from a city in Nigeria said that was the norm in his family, his wife would actually go back with the baby at six months and then return alone to the U.S. where he was going through grad school; they wanted to get their family started, and he hadn’t seen his first child in years). But in the U.S., a baby in your mid-teens is likely to stop any further attempts to get an education and a decent job. Girls actually can be significantly detoured just by having serious relationships at that age. Boys tend to keep doing whatever they were doing and their plans remain intact, but girls get much more distracted. It’s a real problem here.

What’s wrong with having sex at 16? I see everything wrong with having sex with someone in their 20’s or above when you’re 16, but sex with a peer? As long as you’re wrapping it up, eh, teenagers are going to have sex.
What bothers me is the “oh yeah, whatevs” attitude to being used by an older guy. It’s not the sex, it’s WHO the sex is with and the fact that nobody in that whole family seems to find anything wrong with it.

From what I remember that is when my friends started (Personally I was a very late bloomer), but with people their own age and whom they were in a relationship with. Casual sex didn’t really happen until college.
But as the examples here show, it really differs.
I live in rural Nova Scotia… our town had studies done on it for having the highest (per capita) rate of teen pregnancy in the whole province. A ‘record’ we’ve held for a long time. Most of the people around me had been having sex by high school – if not earlier. I know there were a lot of girls and guys who were openly talking about sexual stuff in jr high, and participating in at least some form of it. It’s not absurd to think that teens are having sex. Teens have ALWAYS had sex.
I will never understand why the media took average looking girls and put them on this pedestal where they grace cover after cover of magazines as if they are goddess’s of beauty. They don’t even look natural…always fake looking. Why is it if anybody else has an a** that big they are criticized in media, but, if it’s a huge Kardashian a** they call it voluptuous?
Average looking people are put on pedestals all the time. It has become the norm to call anyone and everyone Beautiful, Stunning, Gorgeous.. when in fact they are just average.. But that can’t be the case.

There are definitely reasons to disapprove of Khloe and any other Kardashian. But satisfying sexual curiosities through sexual experimentation without looking for a long term committed relationship while somebody is in their teens does not make a human being trash, any more than waiting makes a human being more valuable as a person. Even if it’s sex that we don’t approve of.
Casual sex at 16 with partners in their 20’s — partners and experiences she doesn’t apparently remember — strikes me as sad. The moral judgment has nothing to do with it. Very, very few 16 year olds are developmentally mature enough to have casual sex with grown men and have it come out a positive experience. Nothing is casual at that age. Everything about her screams low self-esteem. Not to mention that Khloe HERSELF admitted that the experience was very damaging to her. But I guess she can’t keep her stories straight.

I find it hilarious that they contoured Khloe’s legs to make them look more muscular than they really are. I’m been tracking this woman’s legs and I’ve mentioned on this site many times that Khloe has zero muscle definition at all on her legs for someone who claims to live in the gym. She has no visible quads or hamstrings and anyone can Google search her in a mini shirt or shorts and see that. It’s hilarious that they put bronzer on her legs to try to fake it. I completely agree that it’s disgusting that Khloe thinks she can justify their whole family failing Kylie because their mother failed her. I can only guess that they don’t care and instead of doing something about it, it’s just easier to give trashy interviews defending her sister’s actions. One thing is apparent here: This family believes that money is the solution to every problem and that if you have enough money, you can do no wrong and normal life things that should matter, like class, education, life skills, and MORALS go totally out the window.

I read this interview last night and I am DISGUSTED by her comments, primarily about her own little sister. It strikes me as so odd that Khloe goes so far out of her way to justify Kylie being 17-years-old and engaging in a sexually active relationship with a 25-year-old man when Khloe herself wrote in a book that she lost her virginity at 14 to an older guy and continued having sex with older guys throughout her young teens and that it gave her issues with men that she had until she met Lamar. She also went on the Joy Behar show with her sisters and spoke at length about how dating older guys when you’re underaged is “disgusting.” The Huffington Post jumped on this and posted the video last night after Khloe’s disgusting interview broke. It is so weird that she is trying so hard to defend her sister about something she apparently used to feel strongly against.
So Kylie is “special” because she’s financially independent and attends “business meetings”? What a JOKE!!! There have been celebrities who were 17 or younger who actually had TALENT and their families didn’t throw them to the wolves just because they were bringing in a check or capable of supporting themselves or attending business meetings. This kid sells weaves and sits on Instagram and Snapchat all day long. The majority of her money comes from the contract that includes her in the money they get from their television show which requires zero maturity or effort from her whatsoever. How in the world do you justify pushing a teenage girl to act more mature than she is? They obviously not only support what Kylie does, but also encourage it. No wonder Kylie is dead in the eyes and reminds me so much of Anna Nicole Smith when she opens her mouth. honestly I wonder about childhood sexual abuse in this family, because I experienced it myself, and am now a maternal child health social worker, so I see a good amount of it with young girls who are fixated on the sexual and are promiscuous.
I had no positive father figure and the women in my family taught me to scrutinize my physical appearance and to always be seeking male attention. Combine that with sexual abuse and from age 13 on, my primary m.o. was to look good so I could hook up with guys. I became known as my high school’s slut. This was the early 90’s, and I cannot imagine the damage I would have done to myself if I were living in today’s world where taking selfies is considered a skill to promote myself (my ‘brand’).
If there was not sexual abuse in this family I would be surprised. The hypersexuality is astounding. There’s so much focus on their idea of physical ‘perfection’…I think Kylie is depressed, and then I think of their brother Rob and his obvious issues. We can all say they’re just trash and vile, but I think that it is truly sad and disturbing.

@Kira: I’m really sorry that you went through that- the abuse, the pressure to look perfect, the bullying- all of it. Still, while that’s your truth, I don’t think we as a society should assume that any time a young woman is into revealing clothes and sexual experimentation, it has to be the result of child sex abuse. I’m not accusing you of doing this, but a lot of misogynists and homophobes use the “this must be the result of child sex abuse” argument to shame, mock, concern-troll and pathologize women who reject their standard of sexual modesty as well as people who don’t conform to cisgender, heterosexual norms. This has always gone on in society, even though we’ve moved passed the point of mislabeling homosexuality as a mental illness and deeming women as in need of being sent to an asylum for things like having an orgasm, having premarital sex, or having multiple sex partners. But people definitely still use these sexist and homophobic arguments often enough. That doesn’t mean you’re automatically wrong and it’s not possible that these Kardashian-Jenner women were abused as children, and that their behavior could be the result of that abuse. But their insecurities could just as easy be a result of the combination of bad parenting, growing up with superficial and looks-obsessed parents, being spoiled and not encouraged to pursue other goals, and growing up female in an industry where a woman’s looks are EVERYTHING. They’re hardly the first women in Hollywood to have insecurities about their looks and get plastic surgery, and they won’t be the last.
This family needs serious help. I mean their way of thinking is just so warped.

Hopefully Kanye will have some input. I think Kim has laid off the surgery more than she did–save for the Botox overload. But she’s also a grown woman. But given his mother’s death from plastic surgery, hopefully he can keep North from having the same behaviors as Kylie when she’s a teen.

Or she has too much contouring done on her legs to look like muscles so to me that’s not entirely being truthful either. Yup, I’m totally disgusted. I find it immeasurably disturbing that this 30 or 31 year old woman is not only trying to defend her little sister’s troubling behavior, but apparently also encourages it. As I noted in my original post there’ve been plenty of other famous teens with actual real talent who haven’t felt like they’re a “special case” and their families haven’t promoted that kind of behavior. Her face is positively Kourtney-esque in some of these photos. I always had a hard time seeing the facial similarities between all three sisters, aside from their coloring, but I see it between Kourtney and Khloe now. They definitely take more after their mother. Back before Kim redid her face, she was the one who looked the most different, because she took almost all the Armenian features.

Yeah you’d have to go back like 15 years to get a photo that shows all the women without plastic surgery to get an accurate view of how closely related they all look.

She was pointing out how Khloe is a hypocrite of Writing a book and talked about how her relationship with a 20 year old at 16 was a horrible experience for her and how he used her, how could she go from that to giving her stamp of approval on Kylie relationship.

Yes, Amber was not disrespecting Kylie at all, she was pointing out from her own experience how damaging and risky it was to play house with a man in his mid-twenties with a child of his own. She was concerned about Kylie, not insulting her. Khloe’s reaction made no sense, unless she was feeling guilty about promoting such a relationship herself. Amber’s responses were fine. It was especially ick for Khloe to say what she said, since Amber’s choices as a teenager were driven by financial need that Khloe and Kylie gave never experienced and do not understand.
Exactly. Unlike a lot of adults, Amber didn’t slut-shame Kylie in any way- if she had that would have been awful and a defensive, aggressive response from Khloe and her allies would have been somewhat warranted. I’m totally against the sexual bullying of teenagers. But Amber was compassionate enough and reasonable enough to direct the shaming at Tyga- because he’s the one who deserves the most shame. I don’t fault Kylie at all because it’s normal for a teen to sometimes find a person in their 20’s more sexually attractive than someone her own age- she probably thought he would be more mature, better at certain things than a guy her age, and being with him probably made her feel more grown up. Those are normal desires.
I fault Tyga for his own behavior past and present, and I fault Kylie’s parents (and Khloe) for allowing their teenage daughter- who has admitted to having low self-esteem, so she’s probably vulnerable- to date some 25-year-old who has his own kid and allegedly has a reputation for getting sexual with younger girls even before he was with Kylie.

I wouldn’t have a problem with a 17-year-old dating a 21- or 20-year old. To me that’s still pretty close in age. But it does seem like the media/society plays favorites a little bit when it comes to which teen celebrities are ‘allowed’ to date someone 3 or 4 years older than them and which ones are portrayed as tragic victims for doing so. Justin Bieber and his family weren’t widely criticized over him dating a 20-year-old at 17 and still had an innocent ‘golden boy’ reputation, and neither was Demi Lovato’s or Lorde’s. (As a side note, it seems like Justin Bieber has gotten far less flack for sexual behaviors that FEMALE starlets got crap for YEARS over- getting with someone older while underage, sexualizing himself, having an affair with someone married). Also, didn’t Taylor Swift once date a 17-year-old when she was in her 20’s, or was the guy 18 or 19? It does seem like people are less worried about the ‘sexual innocence’ of guys in their teens than girls.

Maybe Khloe’s reasoning is that even though she wasn’t truly ready for sex with an older guy at 14, Kylie is at 17. On the one hand I could kind of understand that line of reasoning, because even though 17 isn’t a super mature age, you’re still at a different place mentally, emotionally, and sexually at age 17 then you were at 14. And maybe she sees a 17-year-old dating one person in their 20’s as somehow different from her situation of being a younger teen getting with multiple people in their 20’s. But I still disagree with her being okay with this relationship. It’s the age-difference combined with Tyga’s history.
As for plastic surgery, I’m not going to argue that it’s a great thing, but I’m not going to look down on someone for it either or pretend that I’ve been immune to all vanity and beauty ideals. The truth of the matter is that a lot of us have some type of insecurities about our body or face at some point, and have visualized ourselves with whatever we thought was the ‘perfect’ look or physical features. The difference is that people like her use their money to try to get those dream features and we can visually SEE their insecurities about their looks. It doesn’t make them lesser. And some of us just use less expensive, less invasive means to do something about the areas we’re insecure about- concealer, hair-dye, contouring, photo effects, hair dye for graying or boring hair colors, spanx, slimming clothing, heels, push-up bras, diet and exercise (not for health reasons, but because we want that flat tummy or toned body), manicures, etc. Not all of those things are about insecurity- sometimes it’s just about wanting to play with our looks- but sometimes it is. It’s sad though that these women seem to have had encouragement to get plastic surgery before adulthood.
Minority opinion, but I actually think Khloe looks good here (and in general).
As long as butchering your body is considered a normal thing to do to, an almost expected thing now-a-days, women will continue to be second-class citizens. People die from plastic surgery, but it is so normalized now, even apparently for young kids. It’s surgery. For fun. I don’t get it. I see it as so destructive at every level – physically and mentally, and yet women are constantly bombarded with more and procedures that are readily accessible for the right price, even from people who are not doctors.
We’re good enough without any surgery. We’re good enough without any procedures, or make-up, or million dollar closets.
