Tom Hardy’s wife Charlotte debuts her baby bump at the UK ‘Legend’ premiere

wenn22830266

Here are some photos from last night’s London premiere of Legend. Tom arrived at the premiere with two dates: his wife (?) Charlotte Riley and their dog Woodstock (I’m including a photo of Woodstock at the end of the post). Will you look at Charlotte? She’s glowing. She’s glowing because Tom Hardy got her pregnant, which means the world knows for sure that she’s getting Bloke Realness on the reg. God, she might be the luckiest woman in the world. My guess is that Charlotte (or “Charlie,” which is what Tom calls her) is well into her second trimester, maybe even going into her third. Tom has a son from a previous relationship, a son named Louis. Louis is 7 years old.

In case you were wondering why I included so many lingering closeups of Tom Hardy’s beautiful face… I have no explanation for it other than looking at photos of Tom Hardy is one of the great joys in life. Just a few days ago, his beard seemed bushier and I was kind of wondering if he was still required to keep it for the now-endless reshoots and extended shoots for The Revenant. I don’t have an answer for that, except that I like the way he looks with a neatly-trimmed beard. He’s so pretty.

Meanwhile, there are new stories all across the UK and Irish media about Tom and whether he should play James Bond. An Irish betting site, BoyleSports, has Tom at 4/1 odds for taking over the role when Daniel Craig steps down. Personally, I don’t think Tom would be very good at James Bond just because I don’t think he’d enjoy the role that much. He likes weirder projects. But sure, it’s nice to fantasize about Tom in a nice tuxedo, martini in hand as he seduces an Indian blogger/spy with secrets in her panties. THAT should be the next plotline.

  1. Moxie Remon says:

So rude of him to have babies with another woman.

  2. RocketMerry says:

I honestly cannot see the bump: her dress is so black, and against Tom’s black suit her belly just… I honestly can’t detect it! I’ll take your word for it, she’s preggo.
    Anywhoo… congrats!

  3. Lora says:

Life doesn’t make sense anymore 😪

  4. Lilacflowers says:

More Woodstock, please! I would just love it if somehow the stars aligned to allow Woodstock to hang out with Amanda Seyfried’s Finn and somebody filmed it for us.

    • Sixer says:

Woodstock looks like Old Dog, who lives (well, lives would be a strong word for it. Sleeps would be more accurate since he does little else) chez Sixer. Is he a Lab or a Retriever? Old Dog is a Lab.

Le sigh. I love The Bloke so much that I don’t even mind when he gets jiggy with other women to the extent that babies result.

      • Mia4S says:

As I recall Woodstock was the dog Tom and Jessica Chastain found homeless and running in the road while filming Lawless. So he probably has no idea of exact age or breed. He and Jessica looked after it during filming and decided Tom would have custody (Jessica has visitation). Soooo cute!!!

      • bluhare says:

We have our Old Dog chez bluhare as well, and it sounds as though his days are just like Old Dog’s days. One long nap interrrupted by walks and the occasional treat. (And chase of the cat).

    • ncboudicca says:

awww, Woody looks like one of my geriatic dogs, Duke. Duke is a Lab/Chow mix, but Woody looks more Lab-y. Like Sixer’s Old Dog, he likes to sleep a lot…but he also likes to spend a lot of time panting in my face and demanding food.

    • frisbee says:

Woody looks like a ‘Bitza’ – bitza this and bitza that with a lab base and is none the worse for it. He’s a dog, he’s obviously loved and that’s all that counts. But then I’m completely indiscriminate when it comes to dogs (and no I’m not saying that anyone else is!) – aside from the poor unfortunate aggressive ones I’ve never met a dog breed I couldn’t take to – I lean towards the working breeds but could easily love a Pug.

  5. Absolutely says:

The Bloke with a baby! So sweet!

  6. Astrid says:

I like Tom but I don’t see him as Bond. That’s for Idris.

    • evermore says:

Love him. I can see him in Bond but Idris is my favorite for the role though.

Not sure how old Daniel Craig is but The problem may be that by the time Daniel Craig is finished with Bond, Idris may be getting too old for the role.

    • Franca says:

God I hope not. I would really like to see a Bond I actually find hot. Craig was awul, now Tom. Please no.

    • katy says:

Definitely Idris for Bond, BUT I would love to see Tom as a villain opposite Idris. I would never leave the movie theater.

    • amilue says:

Seriously! I couldn’t believe when they said Idris was too street for Bond, and then Hardy was announced as the forerunner for the role. Hardy is 100x more “street” than Idris Elba!

  7. Mimz says:

My crush on him slowly fizzled and died from the moment i realized his teeth were hideous… i know, i know, sounds bad, but its just one of my “things”… I cannot deal 🙁
But i’m happy for the couple! Great news.

    • evermore says:

He’s gorgeous and his teeth don’t bother me ,but I never noticed if they are bad .

but …….That’s one reason I never fault some actors who get their teeth fixed if they want to.

      • Mimz says:

That’s the thing. I never noticed (because he rarely smiles if you think about it) but then I googled him and .. I died a little. And now I can’t unsee it. It’s sad and scary and gross hahahaha. He should just go the Tom cruise, Cristiano Ronaldo, _______ (insert Hollywood/celebrity) way and get them fixed.

    • Crumpet says:

Oh God! They are mondo hidiei. Blech.

      • evermore says:

Yes, but I’ll bet his US Agents will talk him into some subtle cleaning, nothing crazy, no bright, white teeth, just some subtle cleaning.

Rotten teeth are bad for a person’s health and can bring about worse things, all sorts of disease of the mouth and even infections into a persons jaw or head or throat.

      • Franca says:

Does he have rotten teeht or are they just yellowish ( which can be natural and doesn’t mean they’re dirty) and uneven?

      • Lama Bean says:

Whoa. Looks like his bottom teeth are just fighting for position–elbowing each other out of the way. I don’t understand the top row–at all. it’s like one half of the row is just….larger…than the other half.

I try not to be a teeth snob. Unfortunately I fail. Mine aren’t perfect, so who am I to judge? He does seem like he is such a good guy though. And THAT DOG! I LOVE HIM!

Edit: I did not know he had all these issues. Never mind. I’m judging the hell out of his teeth now.

        Still love the dog.

      • GirlOnFire says:

So am I and I have perfect teeth. My American roommate on the other hand…

    • Hodgkiss says:

He had a crack cocaine addiction when he was younger, it probably ruined his teeth.

      • evermore says:

Long term Coke use can ruin teeth and gums.
Not sure if Tom’s are rotting under the gum from his former cocaine addiction.

I find him so handsome in the photos above and his voice, wow. Drooling.

      • LAK says:

So……reading this thread on TH’s teeth, I went to google expecting Shane McGowan of the band Happy Monday’s level of horrid teeth. Especially where his drug/alcohol issues have been invoked.

Instead I find someone who has perfectly ok teeth who never had them fixed American style. Yes the bottom row is crowded, but that’s normal for many, many people until they fix that. His upper row has one tooth larger than the others which are more or less straight.

Most of the google images where his teeth are particularly horrid are screen/set shots from films where his teeth have been deliberately discoloured to be authentic to characters he is playing.

The pap shots of him show normal yellowish, white teeth. Not american, blindingly white chiclets.

      • evermore says:

American’s just have better dental care, IMO In my school it was mandatory we visit the dentist, when I was a kid. The school saw to it we were scheduled appointment.
Of course not everyone should fix their teeth ,,,BUT ….I just want to say not all American big teeth are fake, even if they are big and white..My entire family have big Chiclet natural Osmond teeth and many of the people I grew up with had nice natural teeth.

A majority of Americans have good teeth because of attention to dental care from a young age and hereditary. Many Americans since the 1950’s, 1960’s just have good teeth….period, we started taking care of our teeth and gums.

If Europeans are laughing at our teeth , so what, let them laugh, because most of my friends and family have their natural teeth and were born with them or wore braces when young and took care of their teeth.

        teeth rant over

    • SisterMorphine says:

Sorry, the crooked teeth are terrific and incredibly charming. I hope he’ll never get them fixed.

  8. silken_floss says:

I really don’t get the hype about this guy.. He seems like a nice bloke, I guess *shrugs*

    • Franca says:

Me neither. Just don’t see the hotness.

      • Lars says:

Me neither!! Can someone please explain? Is it the beard?

      • GingerNYC says:

And those pants! They so need to be tailored. Unless his mom is waiting for him to grow into them?

      • NGBoston says:

@Franca—Watch him as Bob Saginowski in “The Drop” and maybe it will click then.

Truthfully, I didn’t know who he was until I saw that movie and I fell for him then. He is not everyone’s cup of tea but something about him. I don’t like his scraggly looking beard either and sometimes he looks beat but he is just so masculine and manly and that is what attracts me overall, anyway.

  9. Sopha says:

She’s an actress too. From Peaky Blinders I believe.

    • Toodles45 says:

Actress and a playwright, seems like a very talented lady. Their kid will be gorgeous

    • evermore says:

Great show. Watching it now on a European channel I am picking up.

    • Franca says:

They were together in Wuthering Heights, that’s how they met, I believe.

    • blippaPippa says:

Loved her in Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

    • amilue says:

If you haven’t, see them together in Wuthering Heights. Their chemistry was off the charts! I wasn’t surprised at all when I heard they were together/then married.

I loved her in WH and thought she was the perfect Cathy – – so incredibly pretty!

  10. Nina says:

The luckiest woman in the world? Really? Who has to deal with a man who has drug/alcohol/anger issues and regularly assaults people he works with?

I’m kind of grossed out by the people who infantalize Tom Hardy just because he likes dogs or something?

  11. megsie says:

    Stop cheating on her, Tom

  12. p'enny says:

    he’s too street for Bond

    :-p

  13. Juluho says:

Those two in Wuthering Heights…. I want them to be in love forever!!!

  14. Phoeb says:

He doesn’t do anything for me but he’s charming and no bull in his interviews. I think they might have an open marriage or something. That pic of him with Leo and co in the hot tub???

  15. Don't kill me I'm French says:

Since Dark Knight Rises’s red carpet,he forgot how to smile .
    Congrats for the baby!

  16. M.A.F. says:

Her makeup lady and stylist must be huge Hardy fans because they made her look not her best. I honestly never saw his appeal.

  17. serena says:

I can’t see him as Bond, he lacks that kind of daintiness. Idris Elba on the other side… sigh.

    • kay says:

I saw someone commenting that if Idris is too street then Tom is the sidewalk.

      • Leah says:

Are you kidding? Tom is posh, he went to public school and grew up in one of londons wealthier parts.
Idris is an east end boy, hackney born and bread ( before it became hipster central).

  18. Tallia says:

He gives good face (and other body parts). Congrats to the happy couple. Mean Girl moment: Which eye does he look at when speaking to her?

  19. seesittellsit says:

Obviously, the only names possible are Stan, Laurel/Lauren, or Oliver.

  20. EN says:

    > Meanwhile, there are new stories all across the UK and Irish media about Tom and whether he should play James Bond.

They stole my idea! I guess they are welcome.

  21. InvaderTak says:

There’s a “Hardy boys” joke in here somewhere. Louis will have a sibling!

  22. QQ says:

Jesus Christ!!! LOOK AT THAT MAN JUST LOOK AT HIM !!! OH God

  23. An says:

He gets points from me that he has thus far been with age appropriate, fairly normal looking women (I think the mother of his child was the prettiest). However, for all the comments saying she’s lucky, he is perfect blah, blah… I’m not so sure. I love him, but he doesn’t seem easy and cheats (allegedly). I would be looking over my should constantly if I was her. I also noticed the Garner/Affleck syndrome, with her always looking lovingly at him, but him not looking at her the same way. Wish them all the best, but something tells me this won’t be his relationship, especially when the kid comes and her attention is not solely on him. Seems like that could have been part of the reason he went looking for a new piece the last time.

    • EN says:

Yeah, I don’t think he is such a catch. He doesn’t strike me as a family man.
He is a good actor, and is so hot, I love watching him on screen.
      Marry him? No way.

    • Franca says:

She’s stunning. He’s okay. I don’t know much about her, but if we’re judging just by looks, he’s the one that’s lucky.

      • amilue says:

See them in Wuthering Heights. She was so impossibly pretty as Cathy, and they had real, beautiful chemistry together. It made me root for them as a couple. I like her so much, and I really hope he does right by her.

    • Mark says:

So if he hooks up with a model it’s a dealbreaker for you? He needs to hook up with a ‘real woman’? You sound silly.

Plus blind items from BlindGossip and Lainey always contradict each themselves and they see some story in usweekly then post their blind. They are made up.

      • Nina says:

Yeah, I always roll my eyes when people say “i love him even more for being with a normal looking woman!!!”

How dumb. Usually there’s a reason people say that, and it has to do with themselves…

    • annemarie says:

He doesn’t cheat on Charlotte; he adore’s her! Don’t believe every stupid rumor on the internet! He can be ‘intense’ on set but never unfair. Charlize declared it was a rough situation on set but she loved him anyway; they had a professional respect for each other…
He’s not the same man as he was in his early days. I’ve a lot of respect for him and love him as an actor!

  24. EN says:

So….. read the Legend review on Guardian, and it is no good. No Oscar chances then? I though the movie concept was interesting, and could be good for him,
    What about Reverent with Leo?

    • I TOTALLY knew that’s how the movie would turn out. Meh movie, amazing performance.

    • Bint says:

Isn’t the Guardian notoriously difficult to please? I’ve read some of the other reviews in it and thought they were a bit harsh. To be fair to the G, they do pass the blame around instead of laying it at the Bloke’s gorgeous feet.

      • EN says:

@ Bint , yes the Guardian is usually harsh but fair. They just gave 4 stars to Depp’s Black Mass, so it can be done.

But generally you see 2 or 3 starts from them. 3 stars is still ok, but 2 means there are issues, and it is not just Guardian being picky.

  25. GirlOnFire says:

So, my roommate works at Odeon Leicester Square and he got to meet both Tom and his dog yesterday. I’ve never wanted menial cinema work more. I did get a personal signing from him though, which was a sweet surprise.

  26. bellebottomblues says:

first time I saw him was in a bbc production of elizabeth the virgin queen…he was so young!
he played robert dudley. I remember thinking who was the guy with that amazing mouth?

  27. Bobafelty says:

Is the wife cross-eyed or is it just these pics?

  28. NGBoston says:

I am in L-O-V-E Love! I tell you with Hardy in his role as Bob Saginowski in “The Drop”. .I did not even know who TH was until I watched the film for the first time and instantly had to find out the name of my new fav Movie Star Celeb-Crush. James Gandolphini was excellent in it as well. Great picture!

I do like Tom in edgier roles and don’t really see him replacing Craig as the next 007–but I will take Tom Hardy any way I can get him on Screen.

(Sigghhhhhh) Oh, and not to be catty, his wife is gorgeous but is it me or does she look a little cross eyed? No matter but it was distracting me in her beautiful photos.

  29. Laura says:

I can’t even be mad that he’s out there impregnating other women when he’s so obviously destined to be with me, because Charlotte is GORGEOUS. I love them two together, and that baby will be blessed.
