A week ago, People Magazine had a very suspicious story about FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson. The gist was that Twigs and Sparkles have grown apart in the past few months and that they are close to calling off their engagement. The evidence is/was somewhat flimsy: Sparkles is currently working on The Lost City of Z, and he’ll be busy for months. Twigs is currently promoting her LP and she’ll probably be touring again soon. So, they’re definitely going to be spending some time apart. But does it follow that their engagement is in tatters and they’re on the verge of splitting? Now sources tell Us Weekly that they’re fine. Huh.
What’s the big rush? Robert Pattinson and his fiancee, singer FKA twigs, are not only happily engaged, they’re “excited to be married,” a source close to the couple tells Us Weekly.
“Twigs is still enormously happy with Rob and they aren’t rushing to have the wedding,” the source says. “Things couldn’t be better.”
Twilight hunk Pattinson, 29, and the “Two Weeks” songstress, 27, got engaged after just six months of dating, Us Weekly confirmed in early April. (Rapper T-Pain accidentally let the cat out of the bag in an interview with Vulture, but later backtracked and claimed it was an April Fools’ Day joke).
“They text and talk nonstop when she’s on the road and they are away for work,” the source adds. “They are always talking when they can’t be together.”
Rumors of trouble have swirled around the low-key couple since their engagement news, but the source dismisses them as untrue.
I do find it odd that legit gossip outlets like People Mag, Us Weekly and E! News have such wildly different accounts of this relationship. My takeaway is to believe a little bit of everything – they are in different cities most of the time these days and their relationship isn’t as strong as it used to be. But they haven’t broken up and they’re trying to make it work.
Twigs was also on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge yesterday and she covered Sia’s “Elastic Heart.” Um… I might like this version if I had never heard Sia’s original.

Usually a story like this tells me they will end soon. On another note…her cover of Sia’s song sounded like a cat purring for food.
What is mostly interesting to me is this, People’s source was from Rob’s side, which noted that he’s not very fond of her entourage, US W’s source is obviously from Twigs’ side, since they go on about how happy SHE is in this relationship.
I think I agree with Kaiser on this, they’re still together but not all over e/o as they used to & that’s why they (Rob) have put the wedding on hold.

That’s a lot of assumption on your part. Mysterious “sources” are questionable at best, you have no idea who it is or from which “side” they come from. Or if they are actually legitimate or not. I can’t believe the People used to trustworthy -they are the same as all the others now.
Rob was in London yesterday, was seen out and about with twigs. They are obviously finding time to be together when possible. Everything about wedding dates has been tabloid speculation, who knows if they ever set a date in the first place.
Loved twigs rendition of Elastic Heart. I don’t think its better or worse than original because it sounds completely different. As for the bangs, I kinda agree that it takes effort to make them work and I’m never a fan of not doing your hair when you have a new cut. Style that hair twigs. As for twigs and Rob, i think it was all bs. She’s definitely staying in her underground space and doing her music while he’s working. No harm no foul. They were just the holiday news filler of the weekend.

I won’t call you old school. I have tattoos, piercings, occasionally wacky hair but the septum piercing? Ick. Not to be crude but it always looks like a booger hanging from someones nose. Every person I have met with one is a toucher too, they must touch the ring. It’s isn’t your Precious and no, you can’t shake my hand now.
ITA, I don’t mind piercings but I have never seen the bullring look good on ANYONE. She’d be much cuter without it.
I’ve seen a couple of guys pull off the septum piercing. They both had a brunette moustache/beard. I think perhaps the silver pops against a dark moustache, making it look less like a booger.

I can’t stand the nose ring. It makes me think of a bull and it also just seems so unsanitary and painful. My allergy irritated nose wrinkles in sympathy.

I am laughing, but sadly the “clues” that some of these people use to prove their marriage/baby theories are no less ridiculous! There is an afterparty pic of Kristen Stewart in front of a screen with a wedding showing, and that is a big sign for the true fans, according to these people.
I am not a fan of the bangs either, she has had some great hairstyles but this is not one of them.
Not the best hair style for her for sure. In the first pic with the award she reminds me a bit of Rosario Dawson. Anyhow- can believe they are together but a bit past the initial “ga-ga/you are the most amazing thing in the universe” phase. Time will tell of course. They are cute together, and congrats to her on award.

Die Antwoord have been appropriating and adopting cultural shticks for years. They have had many different incarnations. I remember when they were pretending to be office workers.
They hit global paydirt when their interpretation of ‘zef’ took off. It had been done by a number of artists in South Africa but the mix of YoLandi and Ninja elevated it to another level. And because people outside of South Africa didn’t know zef, they thought it was new and unique when, in actual fact, it had been around for years.
They are committing the ultimate hoodwink and have done so for years. Die Antwoord is parody and the characters they play are designed to be an exaggeration of zef culture. It’s a triumph of marketing and smoke and mirrors.
And it helps that the music is incredibly catchy and that they always build in an ear-worm hook into every song.
I finally heard her stuff for the first time the other day and now I am totally hooked.

Oh wow. In 7th grade my best friend asked me to cut her bangs for her because pictue day was the next morning. I cut them when they were WET! Guess what happened? Yep. They dried into baby bangs. No, they don’t. Rob gave Kristen and her partner Alicia the two dogs they shared when they were together. Now Kristen and Alicia also have added another one to their brood.

As if he would do that when he is in LA a lot. He could still see them pretty regularly. Kind of heartless and not a good dog owner. Step up to your responsibilities. And regardless, he didn’t give Kristen AND Alicia the dogs. They are Kristen’s dogs. If Alicia and Kristen don’t work out then Alicia has no claim on them. I have a dog and even though i live with my partner it doesn’t mean that it is his dog. I have him for 5 years before we met!!! Kristen found the new dog on the set of Camp X-Ray and adopted him – it’s her dog. This is the hard part about dating somebody and becoming attached to their dogs/family/kids – when you split you don’t have a say unless it’s amicable and your ex decides to give you some access.
Besides, Kristen and Rob are friends. Why wouldn’t he see their dogs when he is in town? Guy Pearce worked with both of them and said in an Aussie interview that they are still good friends.

I have waited and waited, but no one ever mentions that in that first photo, I’m pretty sure that’s an “arty” penis and scrotum at Twigs’ hip for her dress at the Met Gala. The whole dress is body parts. I can’t imagine what else it could be.
It was discussed ad nauseam after the Met Gala. The designer Christopher Kane was inspired largely by some pieces from Matisse.
There was a big write-up about that dress the first time she wore it, and yes, it is all body parts.

She has a different style which isn’t my style, but i think people should wear what they want. It just must take so much effort to leave the house. You can imagine her planning each outfit for an hour. Exhausting. And i agree – the septum ring is just gross looking.

Totally agree. Not everyone can wear that bang. I just want her to fully style it whenever she goes out. I like and appreciate her individual style and sound. Her version was cool because she didn’t try to sound like Sia but made it her own.

People’s reports on this couple have been pretty shady… First, they wanted pub wedding, then they wanted baroque wedding – sounded like total bullshit all along… I believe, they’re engaged (it’s sort of confirmed), I believe they’re busy and there’s really no rush in getting married… Maybe around Christmas/New Year time, that would make sense…

I disagree with you on Michael (Luther Vandross, IMO was the best of his generation), but agree with you on auto-tune. Its just bad. I was listening to the parody, ‘Channing all over your Tatum’ and everyone sang and rapped as normal. Then they got to Miley Cyrus and you can tell her voice was manipulated. Just awful.
My Two Cents – the reason she goes by FKA Twigs is that her nickname, Twigs, was already taken by a recording artist. She got that nickname because of the way she dances, where she pops and locks her joints, not unlike a tree moving. It’s really really beautiful. She released a video a while back that was all dance, no singing, called tw-ache, and it’s stunning.

Whenever I read “Things couldn’t be better” following rumors hinting of a celebrity break up, I usually roll my eyes and don’t act surprised in the least bit when the break up announcement eventually appears. Imho, marriage proposals should not happen until the infatuation stage has passed. That goes for the non famous as well.

I find it interesting that the first time she was on the BBC1 Lounge she covered “Stay with Me” saying it had special significance (she’d just started dating Rob). This time around she sings a song about someone hurting her. Maybe she just likes the song or maybe again it has some significance.
As much as I enjoy her as an entertainer, for some reason I always fixate on her forehead. It’s so smooth, flat, and shiny. Could it be botoxed? Doesn’t Botox give people that very smooth, glass-like shine?

I think this story all sounds fake. Bangs should be determined by the shape of the face. She’s got a pear shape face and petite, she can carry a short bang. Its the style thats not working but generally when I see her its works. Her voice is soft and high. I really like the sound of it.
