For real question: why does January Jones look so bow-legged in these photos? And why does this shade of green not translate well in still photos? When January walked onto the Emmys red carpet last night, the green popped. It looked rich. It looked amazing. But in these photos, it seems sort of flat! Ugh. And I totally thought she was wearing a full gown, not a jumpsuit, but here we are. The jumpsuit is by Ulyana Sergeenko. I’m going to make the leap and say that this works, her styling is on-point and her Resting Bitchface is life-affirming. I guess the explanation for the bow-legged look is that she’s standing with her legs too far apart and the fabric drapes in a weird way. I also have to say: with her hair like this, she really does give me Grace Kelly vibes.

Both women decided to go for some bold colors, although I think Moss didn’t even come close to pulling off this Oscar de la Renta dress. She’s cute, she’s talented as hell, but she might need to make her peace with the fact that she’s not a Fashion Girl. And that’s fine! She doesn’t need to be a Fashion Girl. But that means… no fuchsia princess dresses. No matching lipstick. Just… NO.

I’ve grown to like January and her RBF. I don’t usually go for her body type (I root for curvier women like Christina Hendricks, Amy Schumer, Mindy Kaling, Kat Dennings, etc.) but January looks beautiful here. I love her fashion, her hair, her skin, her RBF, and her occasional smile. She’s confident and I like that she seems to have a good relationship with her female costars.
I don’t hate her dress, only her hair color.

I guess Elizabeth is going to be blonde now? She said in one interview, that she was always blonde prior to Mad men. I saw some old CSI or Medium and she did have blonde hair. I think I like her with darker hair though.

The green is a couple of shades too light – it really should have been a bolder green, and that frilly leftover fabric on her left leg looks terrible. I really wish someone would tailor pants bottoms properly for these ladies. If they drag on the ground, they are too long!! (Pet peeve of mine…) And even on someone with a stunning body, if the fabric is too thin and clingy, you’ll get a weird hip bump.
I wouldn’t mind the fuchsia colour at all, but the strapless style really has become over used, and on most women it looks like they have a fat roll where the fabric ends, no matter how slim and toned they are. It’s just how our bodies are made, and I wish their stylists would look at them from all angles before sending their clients down the RC like that.

I loved JJ’s pantsuit. It really worked for her. I think that she goes against the norm in most of these awards shows. She has always come across to me as a girl you don’t want to f*ck with. She could teach lessons on that RBF. I love it!

January looked good. She usually dresses well. Elizabeth’s hair is too light & that dress was made for waltzing, not sitting in theater seats. Color isn’t great on her either.
And lipstick is too much as well. And the hair style is wrong for this dress too, not only the colour. If you fix all these, the pink could be great on her, imo.
Everyone seems to look crappy this year because of that FOX off-white background (with natural light). Just didn’t flatter anyone!

It’s hard to balance an exposure with extreme light and dark, photographers default to exposing for the fleshtone not the fabric of the outfit. JJ as very pale skin, in the shot with moss the exposure is darker, the dress looks better and her skin tone looks too dark.
I love January’s look, chic and not too fussy.

I love the jumpsuit – ok, maybe not the bust-cut – sorry this sounds weird, too round. But in all, I love it. Not the hair, she seems to have the same hair cut all the time. Could maybe try more length and volume?
I think Moss would look amazing as a ginger. Her skin tone would be great with a Julianne Moore-type tone. That blonde is terrible on her. And she needs a new stylist. That dress and lipstick combo is horrid.
I was feeling like the neckline was too Jessica Rabbit, but the Gumby comments have overtaken that view. Now Gumby is all I can think of. Somehow, though, January makes it work. Elizabeth looks lovely except for that hair. Ugh.
Well, I absolutely loathe everything about that wretched jumpsuit… what a sorry mish-mash of misplaced style and construction elements… all in a hideous, unflattering color. And I can’t get past all the awful, unflattering color clash of hair, lips and iridescent disaster hot pink prom gown, either. Don’t find any of it modern, chic or even interesting.
