Sandra Bullock denies adopting again: ‘If I did, everyone would hear about it’

Sometimes the speed of the gossip cycle surprises me, because I totally forget about stories which I covered just a few weeks ago. (And sometimes a story I covered a couple of years ago will feel like it happened last week.) That’s the case with this story about Sandra Bullock possibly adopting a baby girl – it just slipped my mind. The news was tentatively picked up by US Magazine, who reported that Bullock “was photographed carrying a baby girl into an LA hospital” on September 27. Radar “confirmed” the story that Bullock had adopted a sibling for Louis, and we didn’t hear much more about it.

It would be just like Bullock to eventually let us know she had a second child but to keep it under wraps when she was ready. She came out of left field with little Louis at a moment when all the tabloids were speculating on how she was coping following her divorce. As it turns out, it’s not true that Bullock adopted a baby girl. She said during the press tour for Our Brand is Crisis that “there’s only one adopted child in my household and his name is Louis.” Bullock added “If I had a second adopted child everyone would be hearing about it. I would be loud and clear and say ‘yes, I have officially adopted a second child.’ Now, Louis will be it.

The interviewer then wisely changed the subject to the fact that the film was shot in New Orleans, where Bullock has a house. Bullock explained that she gave producers three locations to choose from for shooting “not including Puerto Rico and Bolivia where I feel happy to have Louis in school and that was Austin, LA and New Orleans. New Orleans is where we went.” She said Louis “was very happy” with the choice and her face lit up a bit.

Here’s the video of Sandra giving those quotes. You can tell that she loves to talk about Louis. I got the same impression when she explained to BET that made sure Louis knows and understands racism and how it can affect him.

Also, one last thing, if you parse her words a little she’s say she has not “officially” adopted a second child and she also added the qualifier “now” but that’s splitting hairs.

The plastic surgery is getting to an extreme level with her….. She should stop while she can..

I was going to ask if there was something wrong with her nose. I’m not a fan, (but don’t dislike her, either), so don’t know much about her, but in the third photo, the tip of her nose looks very strange indeed. Now I can’t unsee it.

      • Embee says:

That actually might be natural. I dated a guy in college with that nose. Like Sandy, he was of German origin. It’s unusual but I’ve always liked it for that.

She’s always been my girl crush. Although I’m not liking her latest hair look. I hope she does adopt another, she seems like a good mother.

  3. Liz says:

Always liked Sandra Bullock’s acting, I think she’s almost always great even if the film isn’t.

What is going on with her top lip? Is it just me or can’t she move it all? It started to force her to speak in a weird accent for a moment….

  5. karen2 says:

…& my comment would be about her neck which belongs to a 60 yo…on the plus side Im sure she brings home much more than her male co-stars…Id be genuinely outraged if George received more for Gravity…

  6. Jaded says:

Stop with the neck and nose shaming people – sure she’s had some work done but name me one actress in Hollywood over the age of 40 who hasn’t? Her nose is the same as it always has been and nobody can control what happens below the chin. It’s just life. She’s a great actress and a good human being and that’s what counts.

    • PrincessMe says:

Yep, she’s shamed for doing plastic surgery and shamed for having a natural neck (natural neck sounds weird, but it stays).

    • Mmtahoe says:

+1 Jaded, again. Why is there such a need for so many on this site to attack? Snarky comments are one things, but can’t we all do without the attacks?
Sandra sees to be intentionally phrasing here comments always using the word “adopted”. Perhaps it’s in process, perhaps not. I guess when she thinks it’s anyone else’s business we’ll know. She looks great and women everywhere should be happy a woman 50+ is getting great work.

    • Neah23 says:

We talk about other celebrities plastic surgery so why can’t we talk about hers?

  7. Girlinbayou says:

She said, “only adopted child in this house” However, she said nothing about any FOSTER children living there. Soooo…..Conspiracies abound.

  8. Embee says:

My guess is she is fostering? And may lead to an adoption? That is what I would like to do as well since I am a 40 yr old single mom to a 5 yo and I think our family needs another child. But my law firm doesn’t do maternity leave and I can’t afford not to work for the time it’d take to get me comfortable with leaving a newborn in daycare…

I guess Sandra’s boyfriend’s much-younger ex-girlfriend is now jumping on the bandwagon to milk a little fame off of him dating Sandra Bullock. She gave an interview to Inside Edition.
