Lark was probably using that high-def makeup that looks clownish in flash photos. Angelina Jolie was wearing it once and it looked awful on her, also (the white patches look). But as Krista says, in Lark’s case it could also be a consequence of her illness. I remember once when Lindsay Lohan showed up to court she looked clownish due to very badly applied makeup. People suggested she applied it herself either while hung over or under the influence of something. In any case, it can indicate detachment from reality. But nowadays, it also can just be modern makeup that doesn’t work well with flash bulbs.

Glad to know I am not alone in questioning Leo’s talent. I lump him in with Tom Cruise – to me, both are actors that are very capable but not all that interesting. Then again, neither Leo nor Tom appeal to me on a sexual level either – I don’t think either is cute or handsome and I doubt I would ever give either a second glance on the street.
I disagree….it usually takes just a moment for him to cease being Leonardo and appear as the character in his movies. I think he is really good and he conveys emotion so well. In the departed you FEEL his characters nervousness. And there are many other examples. He’s had fewer misses than most actors I’d say.

In mine as well. And Pippa with one p in the middle is a derogatory term used to describe women and their vaginas. At least the word jeb is pronounced differently (yeb), but pipa sounds the same. Actually, it was Bobby who was married and had a son, but his son is already 20 and it’s been 12 years since the divorce. Rose has never been married and doesn’t have any other children.

Every time I hear about Rose Byrne and Bobby(Sutton Foster’s ex bf) together, I think back to this years tony ceremony where they had to give an award to Christian Borle (Sutton Foster’s ex husband) and how awkward that must have been for them and Sutton.
That article about Leo sums up perfectly what I’ve always disliked about him. In all of his movies I always see Leonardo DiCaprio ACTING (capitals needed). It’s not that he overacts, or that he’s a mediocre actor. It’s just that I can tell he’s acting. The same happens to me with Christian Bale and some other people I cant remember now.
He totally Over acts, his accents are wonky and he’s unable to portray emotion or vulnerability.

I think Leo is a pretty good actor, but I agree about the ACTING, especially in the last few years. Before the Oscar chase really started to elude him, he seemed more relaxed in his roles. Now, so many of his films are Oscar bait you can just sense the intensity and desire to win rolling off of him in any role he does.
