Prince George had his first day of Montessori school today & there are photos

george1

OMG!!! Prince George had his first day of nursery school today in Norfolk, and the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter account released two new photos of the little guy. The Cambridges made the announcement that George would be attending nursery school back in December. He’s attending the Westacre Montessori School Nursery. I’m sort of surprised that they didn’t release photos including Will and Kate, you know? George looks all alone!

A few days ago, I was reading this Daily Beast piece about what we can expect from the British royal family in 2016. It was mostly “more of the same,” probably with Charles taking on more and more of his mother’s workload, but there was one small piece of news from the DB’s royal-gossip guy:

Kate and William are said to want a third child, and there is little doubt in the minds of many royal-watchers that Kate would like ideally to get pregnant again this year. She is expected to keep her royal engagements to a minimum, focusing on a few high-profile, high-impact events for favored charities such as Action on Addiction.

[From The Daily Beast]

It’s a little bit funny to me that some people use that as an excuse for Kate’s low event numbers: she’s in a perpetual state of pregnancy or almost being pregnant, so of course she would never gear up and really do three events a week, because then she would have to gear down when she got pregnant! It makes perfect sense. Life & Style claims in this week’s issue that Kate is already knocked up, but I don’t think she is. I think she wants to get pregnant again this year and I think William is kind of meh on having three kids.

I bet all the parents are telling their children “See that boy in the blue jacket? Make friends with him !”

    • Jib says:

Or, they might be saying, “Watch out for him!!!” as wee George doesn’t seem to be the best behaved child in England. I hope he doesn’t beat up the other kids. 🙂

Of course, KatieBucket is saying she wants to get pregnant again. She’s very brave for someone who has had such horrible pregnancies that she had to not work for months at a time!!! Seriously, I had 3 kids in 4 years, and had really healthy pregnancies, and it still took a toll on my body. George isn’t even 3 yet, Charlotte is what? 8 months? And they are planning for another one?

KatieBucket really. really hates going to work for the BRF.

      • anne_000 says:

To the Middletons, more time spent pregnant probably means more time William won’t start divorce procedures. I’m not saying he’s going to divorce her, but I think the Middletons know that it’s a way to ensure he doesn’t during these times.

      • Charlotte15 says:

@Anne I’m curious why you think William might be looking to divorce her? I have no particular opinion either way; I think that if they divorced it would be when the kids were older and was curious as to your reasoning. Anything is possible with him.

      • Sass says:

Ha! That’s Bouquet. dear. Kate Bouquet! Pronounced Bookay, dear, not Bucket.

    • Pri says:

OMG, So cute, and notice his fist is ready in all the pics. Lil Brute.

    • Charlotte15 says:

You bet they are! Obviously George has no idea *now* and will probably be happy to play with other kids. But it must be so hard as he ages and becomes aware of his situation and never, ever knows for sure who is befriending him for the wrong reasons.

PS He looks absolutely adorable. I hope he has fun. I wonder what his teachers are thinking!

    • me says:

Well let’s hope he’s not a bully ! I could imagine the teacher/parent phone convo “yes George hasn’t been getting along with his mates, could we perhaps do a home visit?” LOL.

I wonder if he’ll get special treatment by the teachers? God forbid he leaves nursery with a scratch on him !

      • LAK says:

Charles and Diana were called into school on more than one occasion about William’s behaviour to fellow students. His nickname was William the basher.

If his son turns out the same, then the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

      • Liv says:

William the basher? That’s harsh! Ha! Don’t know how the Montessori school is supposed to be in GB, but in Germany it’s said that the children are free to learn what they want to learn. Which is, especially when you have a little dictator at home, probably not the best idea for a kid.

      • Mieke says:

@Liv. That is not true. Montessori can be great for kids like that. It’s the not so smart kids that get left behind and get frustrated in that system. And he seems like a smart enough kid to survive.

And really? He’s three! A few years ago he was a gift from god and the cutest set of human cells to date and all of a sudden he’s Billy Basher II…

      • bluhare says:

Billy Basher was William. Apparently he enjoyed telling other kids that when he is King he’d chop their heads off or haul them to the Tower. Things like that. 😀

      • notasugarhere says:

He also used to hit his teachers, hence “basher”.

  2. Becks says:

He’s so adorable with his little backpack!
    Such a cutie ☺

    • TheEntrepreneursWife says:

I melt into a puddle when I put my 2 year in his little backpack. He loves his “pack pack” and sometimes refuses to take it off, which is fine with me. Cutest thing ever!

      • Lucybelle says:

Thiat is so cute! If this was Facebook I’d like this comment m, but since it’s not I’ll just 👍🏻.

    • Lizzie McGuire says:

Ughhh so cute! Say whatever about his parents but this kid is adorable.

    • Original T.C. says:

      +20000000

He is so adorable. My favorite Royal. Just want to give him a big hug, LOL.

    • Rhiley says:

Totally agree. And the little elbow patches on his jacket. And the curls!!!

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

So cute. I love toddler clothes and accessories. Like miniature backpacks.

    • Carmen says:

Reminds me of my little grandson going off to nursery school when he was three years old, toting a Dora the Explorer backpack half as big as he was.

  3. Miss M says:

    He is so cute!

  4. katie says:

So Normal Bill has his heir and his spare and he’s done, is he? Surely they have enough staff to take care of a third child.

  5. minx says:

    He is a doll.

  6. Lennox says:

He genuinely is so so cute! I love his wavy hair. Ahh…

    • Paddy371 says:

Yes very nice, more like tousled hair

      • Nancy says:

Once upon a time in America, I mean the UK, Prince Charles and Prince William had their locks of blonde blowing in the wind. Enjoy it now kid, cause 30 years from now chrome dome!

      • justme says:

@Nancy — but maybe he will inherit Michael Middleton’s hair gene — it is his only genetic hope! 🙂

Seriously he is very cute. I hope he likes nursery school and meets nice kids. He is at the age when children start playing with each other.

      • Canadian Becks says:

Hah, speaketh the Voice of Doom! You’re not wrong, though, as even Harry is losing his hair now too.

Is this true: I read once that men take their hair from their MOTHER’S side of the family?

      • Charlotte15 says:

Yes! Isn’t that supposedly true, that boys get their “hair” gene from their maternal grandfather? (I did not do well in science classes…clearly.)

This kid will LUCK OUT if he has Michael Middleton’s head of hair in 60 years 😂

      • FLORC says:

        Charlotte
Yes, but.. I’ve tossed out lots regarding how the well established BRF genes dominate all others come mid 20’s if not sooner.

      • holly hobby says:

The baldness is inherited through the mother I think. That’s what I heard. Diana’s dad was bald as an eagle so Wills has that. George may be blessed with the full Middleton head of hair. There’s always hope!

      • Nancy says:

Since I brought it up, I looked it up. Hair is maternal, however, the child of a man who has a balding pattern is more likely to go bald than those whose daddy has hair. Plus come on here……how many of them are there in history and they’re all bald or balding Not such a bad thing. Put a lollipop in your mouth and say who loves you baby and you have well…..Kojak! Hair today, gone tomorrow!

  7. Mira says:

What a cute kid he is!

  8. Tough Cookie says:

A toddler starts nursery school. Yawn. He already bores me as much as his parents do.

When I think of Bill and Waity spawning again I’m even more glad it’s not my American tax dollars supporting them. (Besides….We have an election year here to waste money on, thank you very much.)

    • me says:

I mean it’s none of my business if they have another kid, but do they really need to? I think Kate just likes being pregnant and on “maternity leave”…though what “leave” is she really on when she doesn’t really have a job? If I were a UK tax payer, I might have more to say lol.

      • katie says:

I am sure the UK taxpayers do not enjoy supporting the royal family, especially the ones who refuse to “work”

      • FLORC says:

        Paddy
If the children were not to excuse someone from working post mat leave.
If the family could support their children on their own.
Then there would be less on this. It’s not to restrict reproduction choices at all. So, let’s put that to bed. It’s about using children and pregnancy that has yet to happen to excuse why someone will continue to take from taxpayers and refuse to give back all while not spending their own private wealth.

Women are not this fragile. Let’s stop acting like this is ok when it’s not on private funds.

        Me
        You made me giggle.

      • Charlotte15 says:

I think she wants a third because she was one of three and she clearly…”enjoys,” lets’s say! her family.

William would probably be content with two but I bet Kate/Carole will prevail on this one.

I also agree with the commenter who said she looked pregnant in the photos from Christmas. I get that she’s crazy thin but there was just something about her that wouldn’t shock me if an announcement came soon…

      • notasugarhere says:

If she was pregnant, she’d already be claiming HG and cancelling the rumored upcoming tour.

      • FLORC says:

        Nota
This is why she’s likely not pregnant. 2 tours coming up and things like this are scheduled. Virgin islands and India i think. The tours they’ve worked in vacations to.
BUT Kate only gets morning sickness late 1st tri to early 2nd tri. How do I know this? Simple. She’s still seen out being active and healthy. Just not working.
Like the date night the Cambridges had when she was carrying Charlotte in her first tri. WK were seen entering a restaurant where they ate and chatted with ease. Then mid 2nd tri Kate reappears healthy with no loss at all of weight or muscle mass, but rather weight gain and quite healthy. This girl has perfectly healthy pregnancies by those observations.

      • I think she loves the attention it brings. After all, the entire country holds its breath to see what she’ll produce!

      • Charlotte15 says:

@Bethany that’s such a good point! Although I would think (hope?) that interest would lessen with each pregnancy.

“The Great Kate Wait” gets old after a while!

    • bluhare says:

I have yet to meet a two year old who is boring. And George is incredibly cute to boot.

      • Charlotte15 says:

Bluehare I agree that George is adorable and from what we’ve seen looks to be quite a handful. It’s cute now but I think he’s going to keep his parents on their toes as he gets older and learns better how to manipulate (especially his grandparents) to get what he wants. He has that little gleam in his eye.

I think he is a smart child who takes everything in and is one of those types of children listening even when you think he’s not (again, just from the little we’ve seen of him). I learned the hard way with my first that they may look like they are otherwise occupied, but nope- ALWAYS listening and plotting!

      • Tough Cookie says:

Seriously? Well, I’ll take your word on that.

      • bluhare says:

Seriously. Two year olds are anything but boring. I think you’re letting your dislike of his parents percolate down.

      • suze says:

Yeah he is a kid – a very young kid. He is cute – kids that age invariably are. I am not going to project my annoyance at his parents on him.

      • FLORC says:

        Bluhare
I’ve met some pretty boring 2 year olds. I doubt i’d say that about George, but they do exist… It’s like a blue moon.

      • bluhare says:

I’ve only met one boring two year old. And she wasn’t boring as much as annoying. And very very whiny. 😉

      • FLORC says:

Mine was like a young Estelle without the amusing off with their heads glare.
I remember looking at them when their mother was in the exam room and thinking “You and I.. We are not getting along. You don’t like fun.” They were looking back at me with the same expression I think.
Actually much like the child from the Omen. Just very… void.

    • Caroline says:

What you doing reading and posting on here if so boring? Not compulsory you know.

      • notasugarhere says:

And yet she’s allowed to post if she wants to. People can be interested in something and still critique it logically. People can be interested in monarchy AND think W&K are useless as royals.

      • Olenna says:

        Edit.

    • Pondering thoughts says:

Look at George’s age. He starts kindergarten at age 2,5. That is too early. It really is.

  9. Minxx says:

He’s adorable! Reminds me of my son at this age, even had a similar navy jacket, blond locks… sigh..

  10. tracking says:

    Too cute.

  11. Fran says:

He’s already looking like prince Philip in the pic where he points at stuff!

  12. ali.hanlon says:

I bet they have a third.

  13. FLORC says:

    Cutie

Here we go again with the PR timing.
A woman who has had 2 healthy children and maintained not only muscle mass during her pregnancies, but gained healthy weight while being quite active during it needs time off. To get pregnant and carry. because not only do her upcoming low numbers needs prejustification, but a woman can only carry when not working, but can fly, shop, and vacation.

I’m going to start telling my patients and clients this. Because they’ve been going about pregnancy wrong.

    • Tough Cookie says:

Shame on you FLORC, for not realizing this sooner….your poor clients!!! 😉

      • FLORC says:

And so many have had healthy pregnancies! Total blind luck I guess. I’m ordering strict bedrest from now forward. Only to get up for bathroom breaks and on your feet shopping days.

    • Dal says:

I know! I’m on my second pregnancy (currently at work) and I’m a bit miffed at all the pregnancy books for not mentioning that!! I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time!

      • FLORC says:

This is a major pet peeve. Speaking like women are not stronger than this.
She doesn’t want to work. Fine. Just don’t blame it on pregnancy.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Darn it, I wasted years working while trying to get pregnant. No one single soul mentioned this important fact to me.

    • Bella says:

Pretty amazing talent you have, confidently diagnosing people you’ve never met, seen medical records for or examined… through photos. You could make serious money with that sort of gift.

      • FLORC says:

        Bella
I make educated guesses based on observations.
Things that are known. severe morning sickness is chronic dehydration and those suffering have visible weight loss. That includes muscle mass from the body going into a starvation mode. It’s not getting what it needs and is trying to build a life. You will notice it.

And Kate was seen up to mid 1st and after mid 2nd trimesters. So she was hurting within that range is fair. Outsideof that we saw her on her feet all day shopping like a champ if not flying, sledding, vacationing, etc… And she appeared extremely healthy carrying on in an unremarkable pregnancy. It’s not wizardry. It’s common sense.

Now, I do have an eye for pregnancy. That’s really more of a party trick though. I wouldn’t charge people 😉

      • bluhare says:

Ha, FLORC! Yet another visit by another member of the Pregnancy Police. God forbid we say she might have been well!!

      • FLORC says:

        Bluhare
Kate Hudson always pops into my mind when speaking about ms with pregnancy. She carried with what I assume was severe ms. She found relief late into her 2nd trimester and needed to put on weight. I use her as an example because she was seen in the public eye before and after this event. You see cllearly she had trouble keeping food down to the point she was unable to do much outside of making sure her saliva didn’t trigger her gag reflux.

That Kate looked heavier than her norm with added muscle mass and imo very healthy weight pointed to the assumption she was sick, but it was normal. And she was able to eat well enough plus worked out more to boost her muscle mass for offsetting post baby body bounce back time.

Factor in her pregnancies were always to take national priority she got excessive care imo. Papercuts needing stitches and all that.

    • Bella says:

Educated guess? You’ve stated confidently here before that Kate did not have HG and she’s perfectly well through her pregnancies. You deduced this through a photo of her walking around and going about everyday activities. As I said, amazing talent.

      Fact is:

You don’t know anything about Kate and her health. You are not her doctor. You have not seen her medical information. You have not clinically measured her “muscle mass” (looking at a photo is not the same, I’m sorry, no matter what your talents are). You do not know how every woman’s body responds to HG. You do not know how how Kate’s body responded to HG. You don’t know what treatment she received. You don’t know when her symptoms may have been relieved, through medication or otherwise. You don’t know any of this. Correct? Your diagnosis is based on photos and your own biases. So perhaps don’t state as a fact that Kate’s perfectly well and exaggerating her illness. You really have no idea.

      • Sixer says:

She’s a midwife. Ner ner di ner ner.

      • Deedee says:

This was what her brother James Middleton said in mid-November 2014 to the Express: He also said that his sister is improving after being taken ill again whilst expecting her second child.

Mr Middleton said: “She’s better. It’s not unknown she’s suffering from acute morning sickness, fortunately I think she’s on the mend.”

So, here’s a family source saying she was feeling better over 5 months before Charlotte was born in early May.

      • notasugarhere says:

KM was fine to shop, go to the hairdresser, drive herself to the hospital, fly on airplanes, go on vacation. She was just too ill to work. Things that make you go hmmm, no matter if you are a professional pregnancy health care provider or not.

      • FLORC says:

        Sixer
And a masters in nursing 😉

        Bella
Now, here’s some things you need to take into account.
Many read about HG to a very high extreme. That Kate must have been in agonizing pain ffor months, unable to leave bed or swallow her saliva without vomiting. I do not think it was to this point as she was seen out eating and fine all day mid 1st tri to mid 2nd tri. Perfectly normal to have morning sickness within that frame. That she didn’t appear to lose weight, but infact GAIN weight and muscle mass says more that she was able to eat within that time frame and workout. And you cannot prove your point at all past PR that has been caught in lies before. I’ll list time frames and photos of countering information. Just go back to those time frame of threads.

        *My Point*
I’m not saying she wasn’t sick. I’m saying it wasn’t that bad for that long as she was able to do everything she normally could with exception to working for her charities. With Charlotte she was even less so and seen out enjoying a healthy pregnancy. So, here comes a possible baby #3 and a year will be fully cleared.
        (See Nota’s points for more.)
I think what you think i’m saying and what i’m actually saying is not the same.
And yes. I guess you can call it a talent to notice features in ladies that go with pregnancy as i’ve been at this for over a decade.

      • FLORC says:

        Nota
Just because it’s a fact lost along the way.
When Kate drove herself to the hospital. She drove past 2 very highly rated hospitals adding much time to hetreck before stopping at the very hospital where Tanna of all people was camped at a side entrance. The same Kate used.
And this was critical because William was on an extended vacation without Kate for some time. This was news that got everyone wondering why William was away not working with playboy Guy at the time.

  14. Mamunia says:

Is anyone else sick of Kate’s photographs? She pulls in so close you never get a sense of the place. I always enjoyed the first day photo’s of William & Harry taken by professional photographers as you got to see the kids, school & parents.

    • Charlotte15 says:

Yes I agree with you completely! It was so much nicer when we got a fuller picture…you could see the school, the teachers waiting at the entrance, Diana holding their hands- absolutely preferable to Kate just zooming in on him alone (even though he is quite adorable). But they’re too NORMAL to wave to photographers at a first-day-of-school photo call.

    • anne_000 says:

I agree. It would be nice to have a wider angle and put the photos in context with its surroundings. I thought the ones in the home were because they wanted privacy and keep their interior decor under wraps. But this is an outdoor setting. I saw another photo she did. Regardless of what fawning words over her photos the ‘reporters’ say and how great a photographer she is, I think she lacks perspective and an artistic sense of context

    • Reece says:

I have a sneaking suspicion that it was Nanny Maria who dropped him off for his first day hence no wide shots.

  15. AtlLady says:

The photo of George pointing cracks me up. Something tells me he is pointing at his mother to stay there – he’s got this. Maybe William will abdicate in favor of George to have some young blood on the throne. Elizabeth II was a young Queen and she has been an upstanding Monarch. She will be gone way too soon, leaving Charles with no more than 25 years in his reign, William isn’t interested, and by then, George would be in his mid 20s.

  16. Tough Cookie says:

“She is expected to keep her royal engagements to a minimum….” so in other words, as usual doing as little as possible….

I wonder if dropping the kid off at school and picking him up will count as “work?” LOL get those numbers up!!!

    • Charlotte15 says:

Oh god @Tough Cookie, I bet you’re right. Putting the backpack on, dropping him off at school, taking the photos, and picking him up will somehow end up counting as four separate engagements for 2016 🙄

      • paddyjr says:

If she keeps up that rigorous schedule for a whole week, she’ll need a whole month in Mustique to recover, poor thing.

    • Lucky Charm says:

Why not, if walking out of the hospital with her newborn daughter, and the Baptism, count as “work”.

  17. notasugarhere says:

Does she get royalties on this photo?

    • Tough Cookie says:

OMG I just noticed that. I keep forgetting she is a professional photographer <>

    • Natalie says:

Celebrities usually donate the money they make from these kinds of pictures. Funny we never hear of that from the Middletons and Cambridges.

      • anne_000 says:

They actually donate all their pap money to the secret charity that Bill donates his EAAA salary to…. 😛

      • Canadian Becks says:

LOL! You guys think of all the cuttingly witty jabs that I want to say.

    • Betti says:

Probably. Wonder if she will use these shots for an exhibition, you know the one she tried to get during the GF years and got laughed out of all the gallery’s.

    • Katydid04 says:

This might count as work though for her 2016 numbers…….”Took picture of heir” x 2. 😉

  18. Betti says:

He’s cute toddler and the fact that it was released first on social media is an eff you to the British Press – guess this is their punishment for all the shade the Buckets have been getting.

I can totally see her getting pregnant again this year – she needs an excuse for the work shy attitude. I firmly believe that she thinks she is working hard for the BRF and that she/they see nothing wrong with the low numbers. Under 100 engagements in one year is to her a heavy workload. No matter how much shade she gets for it she will never improve, even she does it wont be by much.

    • Ravine says:

So, if she has a third kid, it’ll definitely just be a scheme to keep avoiding work? She can’t just have a third kid because she, like… wants a third kid?

Well, sheesh, I guess I’ve been naive about motherhood. The next time a colleague goes on maternity leave, I’ll write “ENJOY YOUR VACATION, LAZY SPONGE” in her card.

  19. Lady A says:

I thought Kate looked like she was pregnant again in the holiday photos. I’ll put a dollar on that.

    • Tough Cookie says:

I’m betting that was poor tailoring, not pregnancy.

      • Lucky Charm says:

And her extremely poor posture. If she stood up straight with her shoulders back, her clothes would look and fit so much better. If she’s so self-conscious about being taller than everyone else, then perhaps she should stop wearing such high heels.

  20. hmmm says:

Are they about to fly off to Mustique (perhaps sans kiddies)?

  21. HoustonGrl says:

They always do the same thing….tour (Asia), pregnancy, baby, months off, tour (down under), pregnancy, baby…I’d put money on an announcement three months after their Caribbean tour *cough* holiday *cough*.

  22. Scal says:

Meanwhile, CP Victoria and Princess Sofia of Sweden are both pregnant and are pulling more events than Kate does or has ever done. The Swedes even made a point to say “Victoria will continue with her current workload for the foreseeable future” Give me them over these two any day.

    The kid is ADORABLE though.

  23. anne_000 says:

Even if she gets pregnant, doing three events a week is not a hardship, especially since she sticks around for only 45 minutes or less and the actual set up and anything else involved in the appearances is done by others. All she has to do is get dressed, ride in a chauffeured-driven car, get out and shake hands and pretend to be listening and then leave real quick. Even if there’s a short speech involved, her staff generally writes them for her.

I find it a tiny bit interesting that he’s not smiling at the camera even though it’s reportedly his mom taking the pic, but he’s happier to look at the mural. Why release a pic in which he’s not smiling at the camera? His mom always gurns at the camera, so she knows how critical smiling is for her PR. Just saying, that’s all…

    • Betti says:

I find it interesting there is no photos of his parents as well, even on twitter. Not saying they weren’t there but there would have been a kerfuffle if they had.

      • anne_000 says:

I agree. Wonder why photos of W&K there with George weren’t released too? You’d think Mr. and Mrs. Normal Bill and Kathy would want to continue their PR shtick that they’re there just like the other normal parents were for the first day of school.

      • Charlotte15 says:

@Betti I was wondering that too. There was NO ONE who was able to sneak a cellphone pic of William and/or Kate with George to show off to their friends on Twitter?

Would their security actually have the right to prohibit OTHER parents from taking photos? It seems entirely bizarre that there is absolutely nobody else around at all at drop-off time.

      • Ravine says:

@anne_000 I think maybe they just wanted the picture to represent that first step away from the nest. You know: “George is growing up so fast, he’s already heading off to school like a big boy.” That moment is about him, not his parents. I’ve definitely seen other ‘first day at school’ pics of just the kid wearing their new little outfit, backpack, etc. If this was a press photo of just him it would be more odd, IMO.

    • word says:

Yeah I’m sorry but these “events” seem so easy for her. She should be able to do many of them. Like you said, it’s not like she has to plan and manage each event. She just literally has to show up and smile. How hard could that be? Maybe she should be reminded of what her life would have been like had she not married William.

    • Original T.C. says:

I think the picture is perfect with him by himself and no big crazy smile like mommy dearest. It’s his first day alone so he looks appropriately excited and hesitant. Better than most kids who start crying about this time. I’m glad to not have to look at his lazy camera loving parents. Go King George😀

  24. Rockin Robin says:

He is just so stinkin cute.

  25. lobbit says:

Ah, first day of nursery school – such a milestone! And such a cutie!

    • Pondering thoughts says:

      Too early.

      • Perhaps they’re using the school to teach him how to behave better. When a post reported that he was in a restaurant with Carole and running between the tables with a toy airplane, I was grateful I wasn’t trying to enjoy a meal with that going on. I wondered why he was permitted to behave like that. What if he had run into a server with a tray of hot food? Perhaps Little George gets away with murder because he’s the first and cute?

  26. Dawn says:

What a doll! So glad to see the little tyke going off to school and not being used for PR.

    • LAK says:

      Never!!!!

      • FLORC says:

That’s why this photo was released via their PR scoial media under very controlled restrictions. So it’s not for PR! So say KP PR 😉 Just a mom taking a photo of her 1st child’s first day. Cropping out the nanny just like any normal family would.

    • suze says:

LOL I am going to assume this is sarcasm…

    • Olenna says:

Ha! Poor little tyke; he’s been branded and copyrighted!

  27. suze says:

Like any other toddler, he is cute. There is the added fun of trying to figure where the Windsor genes are going to kick in with him, because it’s inevitable. Right now, he has Middleton eyes, but we shall see.

I doubt she’s currently pregnant. Given her early pregnancy sickness issues, she’ll want to keep the decks clear until they get back from their Indian tour.

    • Fallon says:

Or… then she will have an excuse not to go on the Indian tour. Because that’s work.

    • Citresse says:

Yes, agree. Kate will likely get pregnant after India tour. That’s only if William agrees of course and it doesn’t sound like he’s on board with having three. But then plans can go awry. Charles and Diana had much planned for year 1982 and most of it cancelled due to pregnancy with William.

  28. Bettyrose says:

Perpetual state of getting or being pregnant? Sextoysayswhat? I’m so creeped out by her uterine-centered identity.

  29. Pondering thoughts says:

Prince George is about two-and-a-half years old. Is nobody else but me shocked that he is shipped off to kindergarten already? It is not as if his mom didn’t have the time …
    #badmother

    • Lady Mimosa says:

I am a little shocked. I would think they would be very over protective of him. My first memory of school was at four in pre school. Maybe he is so rambunctious she wants him with others his own age.

    • Bettyrose says:

It’s probably only a part day program and it’s good for him to be socialized at an early age, so that he learns to share, etc. For less advantaged children, early pre-school is recommended to get an early start in academic skills. Either way, it’s a positive thing, I would think.

    • India Andrews says:

I doubt it is all day and George needs the socialization.

      • Lady Mimosa says:

I’m a strong believer in school as a recovering teacher.
I tend to think if I had gone to school it would have stirred my brain earlier. I’m glad I went, moms today are different.

    • rachel says:

I’m with you – where I am, preschool starts at 3 but the child MUST be toilet trained. It was a challenge, especially with my boy. I guess things work differently if you’re a royal lol.

    • hannah says:

my niece started Kindergarten at the age of 28 months . Her group has children from 2 to 6

  30. danielle says:

    So cute!

  31. Barbara says:

He so looks like his maternal grandfather.

    • Lady Mimosa says:

He does have an old mans face. It comes across as very cute and steer on a child though.

  32. Ollie says:

He looks so much like Michael Middleton. The same face and even his facial expressions. The tiny eyes and prominent eyebags are from Carole´s side i guess.

  33. Who took him to school? It would be great to see a photo of Kate or Will walking with George to go to school.

What are the odds that Kate took the photo earlier and they just dressed him up like he was going- to school, but Nanny Maria took him on his first day?

  34. Starlight says:

Good luck to her having a third or a fourth it takes its toll on the female body unless your naturally slim I hope she doesn’t crumble, trying to keep everyone happy, big family, slim figure after pregnancy to look amazing in clothes, high heels to give height, tumbling hair with no greys . It can’t be easy !

    • notasugarhere says:

Three dozen office staff, two housekeepers, two nannies, groundskeepers. It isn’t like she is run off her feet doing the work.

It is not her job to try to be fashionable, wear skyscraper heels, and have her hair in everyone’s face. It is her job to get out there, wear British clothing that meets royal protocol (which she rarely does), and actively WORK for the taxpayers supporting her.

She is the one who has chosen to make her value mostly about her appearance, ever since she and her mother did her first image makeover when she was a teen in an effort to make her popular.

    • FLORC says:

      Nota
That had to be sarcasm;) Had To!

  35. Alexa de Vere says:

Just for the record, it’s not kindergarten for all of you worried about him starting too early. Montessori nurseries have a baby room, a toddler room and a pre school room and children progress through at their own pace until the September after they are 4 when they enrol at primary school. Throughout this time they follow the early years curriculum that emphasises play-based holistic learning. He will have a key worker who supports him in his play and plans his next steps etc according to his own fascinations and interests. In the UK, all children are entitled to 15 hours free funding somewhere like this from age 3. Some children are eligible from age 2.

Did everyone catch James Whatling’s tweet, retweeted by Tanna?

    James Whatling ‏@JWhatling Jan 6

Prince #George attended his first day at nursery, documented by proud mum #Kate. What a terrible invasion of his privacy.
