Jane the Virgin and Jean-Ralphio are an item! Gina Rodriguez, a/k/a “Not America Ferrara” is dating actor Ben Schwartz, whom many of you may remember as Jean-Ralphio on Parks an Recreation (RIP). The 34-year-old actor can currently be seen alongside Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell on Showtime’s House of Lies. Fun fact: he was also the voice of BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
A source close to the 31-year-old star of the CW hit series told US Weekly, “She’s so happy. She thinks he is so great and all her friends love him.”
Gina hasn’t said much about the relationship via her Instagram, choosing rather to use her social media influence to highlight her fellow Latino actors and actresses every Monday using the hashtag #MovementMondays. This past Monday, she featured Oscar Issac. Yum. Ben’s kept mum on social media as well, his Instagram of late has been filled with photos from the House of Lies set filming in Cuba. (It’s the first US scripted television show to film there.)
Even though she’s been tight-lipped about her relationship, Gina let it slip on a recent episode of the Ellen DeGeneres show that she might be getting a teeny bit “baby crazy,” telling Ellen, “I feel like they bring the baby up to me [on set] and my ovaries are like, ‘Ahh! Come here, baby!’It’s, like, perfect. As soon as one cries they take it away from me and the other one comes in. That’s what happens in real life, right?” She later added, “I could adopt, right? Yeah, I just might do that. I definitely want to adopt.”
I don’t watch Jane the Virgin, but Gina seems pretty cool – and I adore Ben, especially after he guest hosted an episode of The Late Late Show with his pal Adam Pally. Comedy gold.I think they do make a cute couple – and if Gina can get Ben to show up on her show, I may have to start watching it!

I’m pretty sure her last boyfriend was actor Henri Esteve and they were together for about a year before officially breaking up in September, so not really a very long-term. There are many pictures of them together and she talked about him in interviews.

Jane the Virgin is a hoot. Wicked funny and clever. And great characters all around, but Rogelio is my favorite! It’s a fine art to play a character that dense and clueless but still charming.

I think they make s very cute couple! Super random, but I like it!
Good for her but I think you should have given more importance to the #MovementMonday or a separate post. Gina is doing a lot for the Latinos, she is smart and well spoken, and that #MovementMonday might see simplistic but is another of her efforts to unite the Latino community.
