February 15th was a bad day to be a Rihanna fan or a Beyonce fan. Adele is both, so I feel like she was probably extra depressed at the Grammys. It was widely expected that Beyonce or Rihanna or both would drop some new music at the Grammys. It didn’t happen. Beyonce didn’t break into “Formation,” nor did Rihanna give us anything off her new album. It sucked, because the Grammys needed a shot in the arm from one of them. One of the funniest theories I saw last night on Twitter is that a bunch of people canceled at the last minute after seeing Kendrick Lamar rehearse his number. Like, no one even wanted to compete with him.
Beyonce did come out to the Grammys, but in typical Beyonce fashion, she didn’t walk the carpet or sit in the audience. She just breezed out at the end of the show to give the award for Best Record of the Year to Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson. Not only did Bey breeze in on an ethereal cloud of Perfect Hair Breezes (I’m assuming), she also wore a wedding dress. No joke. This white gown is a literal bridal look from designer Inbal Dror.
As for Rihanna, she was legitimately supposed to perform but had to cancel last minute, citing doctor’s orders. Rihanna’s rep gave a statement to E! News: “Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords. The antibiotics she has been on for 3-days did not kill the infection adequately therefore she cannot perform safely.” She also tweeted this:

Not only is it ridiculous to think that Beyoncé would do this, but is ridiculous to think that her skin would remain as beautiful as it was all these years if she were bleaching it.
FWIW: This is one of the reasons Beyoncé needed to come out with Formation. Not just BLM, but for the people questioning her Blackness.
Wasn’t there a rumour that her father made her bleach her skin when she was in Destiny’s Child? Or that he made Kelly and Michelle get tans so that Beyonce would stand out? I swear I read that somewhere.

The dress is hideous. So are the earings. Why is her hair yellow? The colour she had in Dreamgirls looked so nice on her, I wish she’d go back to that.

What always strikes me is how is it possible that all these women don’t know how to dress.
I think sometimes there is so much pressure to look the best and in the newest styles that maybe they lose touch or are spoiled from to much choice. I think this dress is badly tailored but it’s better than the seen though sequin dresses we where getting last year.
True, often when a Star knows her body and dresses for it she gets called out for being boring or always wearing the same etc.
thing is, it’s rarely celebs choosing their dresses, there’s always a team of stylists behind it. so your question should be why these (likely very expensive) stylists make such crappy choices. i think maybe what happens is that celebs have a certain vision and maybe some stylists don’t know what to do with it. she should try fka twigs or rihanna’s stylist team, they’re way more creative.
It sounds like Rhianna is legitimately sick and probably exhausted, so maybe she needed to rest at home rather than coming out to torutre herself with three hours of terrible dresses and mediocrity? I wouldn’t have come out either, give the girl a break.

Hmmm. It’s not all that different from the many women who wear extensions on hair commercials/ads and the women who wear false eyelashes on mascara commercials. Wearing wigs does not mean you don’t have any hair underneath.
If you were paying attention you would have noticed that Beyonce was wearing her real hair at the Grammy’s last night. People are obsessed with the fact that she wears wigs for some odd reason.

False eyelashes dont cover up real lashes, they supplement them. Same goes for hair extensions. Wigs actually cover up your real hair. When you almost never show your real hair its a bit much to be prancing around promoting hair products.

This woman’s fashion is always bad, IMHO, but she is beautiful so there’s always her face. I kinda feel the same way about Rihanna. Such faces that it almost doesn’t matter what they are wearing.
