Caitlyn Jenner posed with Hillary Clinton, Cait says she’s #willingtolisten

In the new season of I Am Cait, Caitlyn Jenner and her girlfriends have been talking politics. And it hasn’t been going well at all. Caitlyn still has the political views of a wealthy, white older man whose main issue in life is getting a good tee time. In previous IAC episodes, Caitlyn declared that while she finds Donald Trump too “macho,” she believes “he would be very good for women’s issues.” When asked about Hillary Clinton, Cait said “If we’re unfortunate enough to get Hillary as our next president, we need her on our side. Although she won’t be … she couldn’t care less about women. She only cares about herself.”

So, Cait was having some issues. And it seemed like Cait’s friend/mentor Jenny Boylan – a professor and trans activist – in particular was really upset about Caitlyn’s politics. Caitlyn and her political views have been widely criticized in the past few weeks, especially in the LGBTQ media and community. So today she posted this photo where she was posed with Hillary Clinton and some of her (Cait’s) friends:

So… was all of the political stuff just a manufactured controversy to promote her show, or was that really how she feels? I think the answer is probably both – Caitlyn played up her true Republicanism to make headlines, and then the storyline will be “Caitlyn gets educated about trans politics and which politicians are really allies.” Still, I bet she can’t wait for President Cruz.

So can we all agree now that her name should be Caitlyn Kardashian? Because she’s clearly doing this for attention.

    • Alison says:

Totally agree, and Cait is rapidly becoming my least favorite of the bunch–which is an incredibly low standard to meet.

    • mia girl says:

Yup. Let’s just make it totally right though. Her name should be
      Kaitlyn Kardashian

    • lucy2 says:

Agreed – it’s ALL for attention. I do think she is a far right-winger at heart, but pretending to “listen” and posing with Clinton gets more attention, and that’s all that matters in her world.

    • Jenni says:

She is bigger attention wh()re than Kartrashians. Who would have thought.

  2. Lizzie McGuire says:

I feel a deep connection with the woman in the right corner holding the painting of Hillary Clinton.

As for Caitlyn, I wonder where she learned that from? (looking directly to the Kardashians). She’s probably waiting to Ted Cruz to call, flash news Caitlyn he’s not going to. Run, Hillary, Run!

    What a hypocrite. That’s all.

  5. Santia says:

Caitlyn gives me clothing envy. That red dress is to die for. I have nothing to say about her politics. She’s a deluded sack of skin.

  6. Who ARE these people? says:

    With friends like that…

  7. Sassenach says:

I don’t think she is #willingtolisten. I think she’s just tired of everyone bashing her for being a Republican and is attempting to seem neutral. There’s no coming back from that Donald Trump statement. You can tell she meant it. I think people should leave her alone about it and I’m not sure it’s even shocking that she didn’t do a party switch. She’s been a rich sheltered conservative man her whole life and I believe she still carries a lot of that baggage with her. I just wish that from now on she doesn’t speak on Women’s issues.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Exactly. I hunk the truth is she’s already starting to see the effect of losing sponsorship and support with all her conservative statements and is slowly trying to put a band-aid on the issue.

I was surprised to read an article already saying how she went from hero to outcast and her reality TV show and support is tanking. That’s fast as hell.

  8. Size Does Matter says:

Has anybody seen the new anti-Trump ad where real women read his actual comments about women? I’d link it if I wasn’t technologically challenged.

My 13 year old had a mock primary a few weeks ago at school. He said people were voting “anyone but Trump” and Trump came in last. How can 7th graders get it but people of actual voting age cannot?

  9. Aarika says:

I believe part of it is her true feelings, part of it is for attention. Her friend Jenny even said while she(Jenny, who is a very thoughtful person by the way) was on the bus tour people kept asking her to stop being a bore and go say something controversial because “we’re making a TV show”. Caitlyn has been a “reality” tv star for over a decade she knows how to manufacture drama, she learned from the best. But I also have no doubt that she still thinks like a wealthy white man even though her exterior has changed. And Caitlyn should never try to point fingers about people only caring about themselves because…pot meet kettle.

The fameho genes in that family run deep.

Am I the only one who would like to see less of this idiot?

  12. christina says:

She is too old to wear a mini skirt. It appears her nipples are going in different directions. She is no friend to any community other than white and priveleged.

  13. word says:

Caitlyn seems to think her vote is more important than anyone else’s. Please.

  15. JFresh says:

Fake smile from Hillary, amirite? It’s not too obvious. She’s doing her best but clearly she knows who her friends are.

There’s a level of ignorance and deniability you have to have to even embrace the level of conservatism she has, even as a man. I think everything for her has been having her cake and eating it too, especially with the ridiculous way everyone rushed to put a crown on her head and award her Ms. Trans Individual when she first transitioned.

She did literally nothing but something she wanted to do for herself and had people gushing about how brave and amazing she was. So why wouldn’t that signal to her that the world was her oyster? Want to transition to being a woman? Easy just get plastic surgery. Want to become an icon? Easy just get a reality tv show. Want to get dozens of awards and magazine covers? Easy just do nothing but be yourself.

She came into this feeling no struggle and having no idea of the issues one truly faces either as a woman or as a trans individual. She doesn’t realize she can be discriminated against because the world has rushed to tell her how amazing and special she is for nothing. I truly believe Caitlyn needs a few ugly wake up calls before she gets it, but lucky for her her level of celebrity will still keep her sheltered.

  17. MARKWEER says:

The LBQT community has a long memory (ask Nancy Reagan R.I.P.) Caitlyn will be stinging from those comments for a long time to come. She’s quickly exhausting any good will she may have had. She doesn’t get a pass because she is still learning. This her and she is horrible and she will remain horrible

  18. NewWester says:

Caitlyn should really change her name to Kardashian. She has learned how to work the media and make it all about her. She learned from those years married to Kris

  19. CatFoodJunkie says:

Lord. Just because Hillary is a woman doesn’t make her the go-to candidate for women. Not a fan (obviously). As an older, independent woman, i HATE the gut punch she dealt to women for sticking with philandering Bill. …and please don’t tell me she ‘forgave’ him and they are much better for it. My relationship with my coffee cup contains more romance and warmth than those two as a “couple”. Just come out and say it already, Hillary: You are business partners, nothing wrong with that…

    • Anon33 says:

What do her personal choices from over twenty years ago have to do with anything? Do you know how many women stay with cheaters? So I guess every single one of them cannot possibly have good judgment in any other issue?

You anti Hilary people need to come up with a new argument.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

She made a decision for herself and I wish other women could do the same without requiring someone else to be their leader.

Why would she need to announce why she stayed with her husband? Her reasons are her own. Business decision or otherwise she doesn’t owe it to anyone to publicly define.

When she was turned away at one of the first Democratic debates in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake University, I couldn’t for the life of me understand why she was there! She was acting like a spoiled brat, saying she was a celebrity and needed to be in there. But what the people at the door and everyone in Iowa knew there weren’t any tickets available, it was a ticket lottery and most tickets were for the Drake students, faculty and alumni. She tried to say she participated in the Drake Relays once and she should have a ticket! I still shook my head in disbelief as I heard about her using her “celebrity status” to barge into that debate. She bad mouthed every democratic candidate that night and the next day that would listen to her! I don’t know what she would have brought to the debate in the first place since she is and always will be a staunch republican supporter.

Personally, when I heard she crashed the local gay bar that I frequent I was mad. I heard she closed it down, made some people leave and then filmed her reality show there without the proper consent or even a warning from the owners and patrons!

I just don’t respect her because she was a privileged white male who could afford all the luxuries of the transition that most LBGTQ people cannot and it breaks my heart when I read another story of someone who desperately wants to transition and is not accepted for who they are because they cannot afford all the things that she got. That is why I think Laverne Cox is a much better role model for the trans community than her. (Sorry I just refuse to write her name.)

  21. yep says:

I hope everything tanks for her. I do. At no point in Jenners life, has jenner suffered. Ever.
Jenner had wrecked havoc and heartache on the previous wives and children, friends and strangers. It was the mentality of “Next”…on people.
This has carried on with whats going on now.
It has nothing to do with naivete.

  22. Jana says:

This fool has lived as a rich, privileged white man for 65 years, no surprise that he is a Republican, but the only reason for posting the picture with Hillary is because the show is tanking and she has completely pissed off the LGBT movement. My advice to her would be to shut the hell up and for God’s sake, wear below the knee skirts.
