I thought that was Rumer Willis

  2. Mia4s says:

    To the parents: Congratulations!

To the newborn: Ode Mountain?! Oh buddy I am sorry, I am soooo sorry!
    😉

  3. Murphy says:

Knowing Jena, no I’m not surprised.

    • ChocoChipDstryr says:

I remember reading one of her interviews from 2000 or around that time, and instead buying a house, she bought an RV and seemed like a hippie living in the middle of nowhere. So no, that name does no surprise me, either.

    • LAK says:

      Ditto!!

  4. lucy says:

    And who is Jena Malone?

    • BengalCat2000 says:

A great actress, imo. I first noticed her in Donnie Darko. That name tho, I have no words…

    • mayamae says:

An amazing actress as a child – see Bastard out of Carolina.

    • amilu says:

She’s an actress, but I’m going to disagree with the other commenters. I do not think she’s a great or even very good one.

      • llee says:

+1. She’s not a great actress she’s mediocre at best. But like many other actors building a career like her, she choses some prestige/indie projects that automatically make people assume that she’s talented by association. She likes to be seen as an artsy hipster and that aura and the people she surrounds with do the trick.

      • Rachel says:

She was really great in Bastard Out of Carolina. As she got older, she fell into the trap of many child actors and started trying to hard. I did like her in Catching Fire, but other than that, I would rank her lower than mediocre.

      • Dingding says:

In Catching fire the part suited her very well.
Perhaps she needs to chose better? Perhaps she doesn’t get any better parts offerec?

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

All I know is she was legally emancipated from her parents many years ago.

Personally, I never saw her in anything.

    • Adele Dazeem says:

She’s an actress that I have a completely irrational dislike towards – I have no idea why. She annoyed me in the movie Stepmum and my annoyance grew every time I saw her on screen or on red carpets. I’ll go have my meds now.

    • lucy says:

      Thanks for all the replies!

  5. Jayna says:

Love Jena. I saw her in a Richard Gere indie, a very low budget movie about homelessness, and she played his estranged daughter. Even in that small part she did a great job.

    But Ode Mountain? Just no.

    • llee says:

she was playing herself. she said that she was homeless and extremely poor for most of her childhood until she started acting when she was still a kid

      • Jayna says:

She wasn’t playing someone homeless. She was estranged from her alcoholic, homeless father and was tired of him showing up only when he wanted something from her.

  6. antipodean says:

Who is her mensa qualified looking partner? This poor child is doomed from the outset. I thought Ms Malone kicked with the other foot, so maybe he was just the provider of the necessary DNA bits.

    • Zuzus girl says:

My husband looks extremely mountain man hippie and he’s a mensa member. Try not to be so narrow minded.

      • trillian says:

I am a mensa member and all I can say is a lot of them don’t look the part 😉

  7. Juliette says:

I just came here to ask if anyone has seen the mega-thirsty photos of Leann and Liz on the Daily Mail today. Totally making out on the beach while Eddie photographs it all. She is so desperate for any attention, it’s laughable.

Mocking her never gets old, she gives so much material. #losers

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

From your description, I couldn’t look, because my vision and stomach couldn’t handle it. Sounds utterly disgusting, and super thirsty, as usual.

They are as you say, megalosers.

      • Juliette says:

Just for chits and giggles take a look. She literally looks at the paparazzi and then starts making out with her while Liz’s hubby snaps pictures. Also, both the boys are there with them so super classy.

I did notice the pictures were taken by AKM-GSI which someone told me she gets a cut of the profits when they sell them. So far I’ve only seen it on TMZ and TDM so not alot of buyers.

So shocking and scandalous, kissing a girl!! (Eye roll and major sarcasm). #lame

  8. Ninks says:

Is it pronounced Ode, as it looks, or Odi?

  9. kok says:

Honestly, when parents name their kids those type of names…they are totally thinking of themselves and what they want, and not what the kid will have to deal with.

It’s basically waving a flag going “ITS ALL ABOUT MEEEE!”

Hope she has money saved for his therapy.

    • Robin says:

I agree. I have an online acquaintance who, along with her husband, gave their child such an unbelievably stupid first name that even though I learned about it several years ago, I still can’t quite believe it. And the kid sounds incredibly spoiled…to the point where one of his parents has to sleep on the sofa with him because he won’t sleep in his own room.

    • Poisonous Lookalike says:

Not necessarily, @kok. Her father and I named our daughter something very distinctive and unique because the word fits what she meant to us from the very beginning. When she was just learning to talk, she supplied a nickname for it that most people have used ever since. And when she asked where her name came from, we told her the story behind it; she was very touched.

I’ll admit that now that she’s a moody teenager, she has requested to go by her bland-as-butter middle name, which I am happy to do. I doubt that she’ll pursue legally changing her name, even if she decides to stick with using her middle name… her first name tells her how loved and cherished she is.

      • kok says:

Your response still makes me think it was more about what you two wanted, and less thinking about what your kid will have to deal with. Parents that don’t think about a child dealing w/the ‘playground response’ are thinking about what they want first. Cue, celebrities.

  10. Deborah says:

How does she know the baby’s kind? He could grow up to be a complete jerk.

    • Adele Dazeem says:

I thought that too! I bet they won’t think he’s too “kind” when he’s crying, unable to go to sleep, having his umpteenth nappy changed that day and leaving his parents with about two hours sleep a night. Love the sentiment though!

  11. Size Does Matter says:

Ode Mountain. Wasn’t that a Nicole Kidman movie?

  12. silken_floss says:

    Oh.

    I forgot she existed.

    • Adele Dazeem says:

      She’s a bit like that, isn’t she??

My goodness, Jena Malone brings out the worst in me.

  13. detritus says:

Kate looks great. But not so great that I am alienated.

  14. Dragonlady Sakura says:

Was the name Artsy Fartsy Malone taken? Ugh. 😞

  15. Die Zicke says:

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris broke up
    *grabs popcorn*

    • I Choose Me says:

      Where is this being reported?

      • Tiffany says:

Kneepads. So it came from one of their publicist.

        Ohhhhhh, something happened in Vegas.

      • Die Zicke says:

I read it first on Buzzfeed. But I *think* People was the first to report it?

    • Detritus says:

So… do you think she hooked up with Hiddles?

      • Die Zicke says:

Couldn’t say, don’t really think so, but I don’t know.

What I DO know is that Taylor and Calvin are both known for dramatic break ups, so I’m sure we’ll all find out exactly what happened very soon.

    • Juliette says:

Word is that he dumped her. Poor Taylor.

  16. Queendolly says:

When I hear the name Ode Mountain it makes me think of a snaggle toothed pervert in a trailer park “Kids don’t go back there, that’s Ode Mountins trailer lot, er body knows you stay way from Old Ode Mountin”

  17. Veronica says:

I wonder if it’s pronounced like the English word or more Spanish ala “O-dey.” (Assuming DeLorenzo is possibly Latino or Spanish based on his name?) I don’t hate it as much as I thought, though, especially put together with the dual last name.

  18. Erin says:

Just checking in to see if there was news of tay tay`s breakup!

  19. Redgrl says:

Ode Malone? Say it fast & it rhymes with pogue mahone..ok, feeling 12!

  20. TeamAwesome says:

Ha, ha. Saw the news about Swifty and immediately shouted “to Celibitchy!”

  21. Barbara says:

I love this young lady and appreciate her acting. Now naming a baby needs a lot of thought and sadly she missed the mark on this odd name.
