The Glorious Tiddlebanging of 2016 is still going pretty well. No midnight escapes or sudden breakups so far, although I have to think that Tom Hiddleston is forming an exit strategy very, very quietly. I personally don’t believe that Tom Hiddleston knew just how crazy it would get, but that’s a conversation for another time. Right now, he’s playing the game and the name of the game is “Make Taylor Swift Happy.” Tay-Tay had Tom running errands over the weekend – Tom was photographed leaving Gold Coast’s Social Eating House and Bar with two bags of food and two bottles of wine – go here to see the photos. Girl, why does Tom have to pick up dinner if he’s been at work all day? What was Taylor doing that was so important that she couldn’t pick up dinner? Was she super-busy on a conference call with her PR team, plotting the next piece of revenge-gossip against Calvin Harris? Speaking of, some British outlets are reporting that Taylor and Tom want to do a joint interview with Ellen DeGeneres. Sure.
It looks like Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift are ready to break their silence. The couple, who have remained quiet about their shock romance since pictures of them cosying up together and kissing on Rhode Island stunned fans, are allegedly planning to finally go public with their relationship. After Calvin Harris slammed his ex in a bitter Twitter rant earlier this week, it’s thought that Taylor is hopeful that an interview with Ellen DeGeneres will help swing things back in her favour.
“Taylor is already the highest paid star in the industry, and Tom’s acting career is on a massive upward trajectory,” a source told The Daily Star. “The simple truth is that Taylor is in love and, as well as showing off her new man to her fans, she feels a friendly interviewer like Ellen could really help boost their standing as a power couple, as well as Tom’s Hollywood career.”
It wouldn’t surprise me if Taylor does want to do a joint-interview with Tom, but that doesn’t mean it’s happening. Tom lacks self-awareness about his extra-ness (clearly), but I think even he knows that a joint-interview would be absolutely awful for his career. It would be Bennifer 1.0. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez tried to do a joint interviews while they were engaged, and those interviews were some of the biggest, most cringe-inducing messes in gossip history. That’s right: I just compared Tiddles to Bennifer 1.0. Come at me, bro! Update: Gossip Cop had an oddly worded denial for this story.
What else? There are a million little stories out there this weekend. A source close to Calvin Harris told Page Six that Calvin feels like everything from Team Taylor is “so orchestrated. She has a pattern [of creating relationships]. He didn’t realize he was falling into her camp’s plan. He came out of the relationship better despite the initial hurt.” But now, the source insists, “He is over the relationship . . . He’s happy to be free.” Team Taylor says NUH-UH and Taylor has “moved on and is enjoying her life. She’s on vacation in Australia . . . All of this Twitter ranting is his MO. He did the same thing to Rita Ora when they broke up.”
One thing is for sure: the only thing Taylor Swift loves more than Tom Hiddleston is beefing with Calvin Harris. I’m not sort of hoping that Taylor dumps Tom and gets back with Calvin Harris. They had something special (“special” = equally juvenile and petty) together, and I hope they see that now.

Someone on twitter linked her instagram saying all photos of Tom have been removed, and while it’s true there isn’t any photos on there of Tom, I cant say if there was any to begin with to be honest, I didn’t see her instagram before. I thought the pictures of them together we have been seeing in the media from the july 4th party were from other peoples instagrams not hers. I don’t know if she had any on hers to begin with, I feel like it would of been bigger news if it was specifically on her instagram of them as a couple? Anyone else know? Any swifties out there?

I don’t even know why they bother with such advanced promotion. It’s a year off, nobody cares. I agree, but lets be honest. Chris Hemsworth hasn’t really done well in the leading man category either (although I believe Rush did well, didn’t it? I didn’t see it, so I don’t know). After Dark World came out, it seemed that Tom/Loki was more popular than Thor/Hensworth.
I can’t decide if the TS stuff hurts or helps Thor. I mean, if they stay together, all the little Swifties might go see the movie and while it will do well, the Thor franchise has never been as big as Iron Man or Captain America for the last two.
I know a lot of people have said they were over Tom and turned off by all this, but how many of them were going to go see Thor anyway, and how many of those would really NOT go see it because of him? Especially given the rest of the cast and new characters that look awesome.
Then there are people like me who are great big comic book nerds and will go see anything (I’m just saying…….we saw last year’s Fantastic Four in the theater on opening weekend, even after all the accurate reports on how bad it was gonna be) comic related that comes out. It doesn’t matter to me what Hiddles does, short of murder, I would still go see the movie.
I guess it remains to be seen if all this will affect that movie, but I’m thinking that if it calms down (either because they break up or because they are still loved up and it is considered ‘normal’ by then), it won’t affect the movie at all.

She’s past overexposure. I can’t stand defending Kanye but he clearly let her know about the song and its content. She is splitting hairs with the vocabulary. When the song came out, people might have talked about it for a day or two but it’s not that epic. It’s typical cocky Kanye fare.

This is exactly what I tried to say on the previous thread, about splitting hairs, but was accused of being blinded by hate, I dont hate anyone least of all Taylor Swift, I’m not sure why I would to be honest and the comment I left didn’t in anyway suggest that I do. What I said was the initial statement her publicist released was a complete lie, they said the only phone call that was made was to ask if Kanye could release the song on her twitter and she declined, so that was a lie.
They also said she warned him against using mysoginistic lines. She can be quite clearly heard saying that it is tongue in cheek and a compliment when talking about the sex line. So that was another lie.
I never said he read her the bitch line and she approved it, but it is quite clear that she knew the song would be about Kanye making her famous, as she says something along the lines of, “you have to tell the story as you know it, you didnt know I was famous before that happened, you didn’t know I sold 7 million albums and thats fine thats just how it happened”……. And the making her famous bit is what she used to have a dig about in her grammy speech, she tried to be so offended about it when she had previously been laughing about it on the phone with him. She tried to use it to play the victim and it backfired.
The use of the word ‘bitch’ and her not approving that is her way of trying to wriggle out of the lies -splitting hairs.

Why do people find it so difficult to believe that Tom might really like her/be in love with her? I don’t doubt that Tom likes attention, he always struck me as an exhibitionist and people pleaser, which is harmless enough. But I doubt he went into this just to up his profile. He was already getting a lot more recognition, the good kind, for the bond rumors.
