Page Six has an appalling story about 45 year-old reality star Bethenny Frankel’s behavior at an exclusive Coldplay concert in the Hamptons. Coldplay was performing a VIP concert on Sunday at an extremely small venue in the Hamptons called The Stephen Talkhouse. Guests included Beyonce and Jay-Z, Sarah “not a feminist” Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Harvey Weinstein, John McEnroe, Jimmy Buffet and more. The place only fits 125 people and was packed with celebrities, including some Hampton fixtures like Christie Brinkley, who called it the best show she’s ever seen at the venue. Some reality stars were there too, like Kelly Bensimon and Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York. Since we typically only talk about Bethenny when she’s acting like an a-hole, here’s another story. Apparently Bethenny’s view to the stage was being blocked and she took offense at this, because if anyone deserves a close view of Coldplay at a small concert filled with celebrities it’s Bethenny Frankel. You’ll never believe what she did next. (Yes you will it’s in the title):
Witnesses said Frankel flew into a rage when a trio of women were in her way. “Bethenny was annoyed that the women were standing [in her way] and was really nasty, asking them to move,” said a source. “She got so annoyed, she ordered [a drink and] then threw [it] at the women . . . They were speechless.”
But a source close to Bethenny told us: “There were three women who were standing and blocking the view after being told multiple times by security to sit down, people were frustrated. It was a crush . . . and very hot. People were jockeying for a view. It looked like this woman, who vehemently refused to move, needed some cooling off . . . so Bethenny tossed some water on her.”
Although not Frankel’s intended target, one bystander who we hear was rudely doused was influential Hamptons fixture Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn, the wife of Goldman Sachs investment-banking boss Gary Cohn. A source said, “There was no VIP area in the tiny venue, and the A-listers were in a crush with a dozen or so SiriusXM subscribers who won tickets to be there.”
Ok so not only did Bethenny do this, she issued a rude “source” quote acting like it was justified and she was doing the people a favor! She’s outrageous. I hope now that this news is out that she doesn’t get into these exclusive shows anymore. She’s so entitled she’ll throw drinks on people who refuse to do her bidding at a show with bonafide celebrities. Also, doesn’t this story made it sound like the group Bethenny doused were the Sirius ticket winners? Like she thought she should get their closer view because she was a “celebrity.” They should have thrown her out of there after that.
Bethenny has issued a half denial on Twitter but it’s not like she said “I didn’t do that.”

She has always struck me as the most horrible, self-centered person. No information published about her has ever countered that opinion.
As far as I have read there are no other opinions about her.

Yes bless her. Someone had to stand up to those riff raff free ticket winners. Those poor exceedingly wealthy people all 125 of them. They never get the chance to do anything exciting like parties, great theater tickets or trips. But not on Bethenny’s watch, she is fighting all the important injustices of the world one drink at a time. I will sleep better tonight knowing this….
That was my take too. It sucks that these people got a once in a life time event ruined (for them but certainly not for the other celebrities).

@Lynnie it really amazes me how a lot of people don’t know his “reputation” or accuse others of misogyny when they point out his connections to certain actresses. He has had the same MO since the late 80s. The tumblr generation seems especially ignorant about him even though he’s exactly the kind of creep they could all have “hate parties” over but I guess it would bring up too many questions about their faves… I wish the word would spread more.

I think he evades notice among my peers, because A.) he’s under the radar and connected enough to avoid punishment, B.) no one, my age at least, cares about his “it girls” with the exception of JLaw, C.) you’re right it would bring up a lot of uncomfortable questions, and D.) a lot of people are clueless about the inner workings of PR/take celebs at face value. I’ve never seen her show, as I think it’s only on pay-tv here, and I detest “reality” tv, so only know what I’ve read about her, mainly on this site. She sounds utterly obnoxious. It’s really depressing to realise how many adults carry on in such a juvenile manner.
In the first season she stood out as a RH who had a smart, sardonic sense of humor and who actually worked for a living, so she was a little refreshing. But The underlying entitlement just got ickier the more one saw of her. ( I only watched 2 seasons, so cant say more).
Bethenny is so much worse now it has ruined RHONY. She has single handily killed what used to be fun dynamics amongst the others.

Their was a Lisa? (she was petite with long, wavy brown hair, and young) character who came on the OC franchise for a season and then left to start a family. She seemed genuinely nice, and certainly got out of the whole situation fast once she saw Tamra and Vicki’s true colors.
She kept a lot of her bs well hidden for the first couple of seasons but everything negative about her has been coming out of the woodwork lately thanks to her dispecable turn on real housewives. Hope they realize it’s time for her to go

I’m a Hamptons regular and I can pretty much say that she has a handful (a Donald Trump hand-sized handful) of “friends” in the Hamptons. Most of the “society” people see her as “try hard new money.”
I went a few times as a guest of DH’s work friends who had a very large, beautiful house on the beach (tennis courts, pool). I’m a middle class California girl-so not my usual milieu-but I loved it. The whole vibe is understated and lovely-definitely not a “throw your drink at someone” kind of place.
Apparently Ms. Entitled has never had lawn seats at an amphitheater…welcome to the real world biotch.
Not to mention this entire event reeked of douche entitlement. Coldplay threw a party for their closest 100 jackass friends, with no regard for anyone in the neighboring 4 towns who needed to drive on Sunday. Traffic was backed up for hours.
She is just the worst kind of person….
The only think I know about her is that her father was a racehorse trainer, and the brilliant colt Frankel was named after him. The horse was certainly better looking, sounds as if he had better manners too.

I have an unpopular opinion, and I’ll cop to that, but I still love Bethenny and I couldn’t care less. Her IG stories from that night looked like that place was a shitshow, so I’m not surprised that things got out of hand. And whatever people have to say about her on-air personality, she is a savvy ass business woman, antics or no.
