Here are some photos of Taylor Swift on her way out of the gym in NYC on Friday. Those leggings are… odd? I’ve never seen leggings with sheer, panty-hose –like paneling. Then again, I don’t keep up with all of the cute gymwear available. Maybe Tay has a Fabletics subscription. I’m also wondering (once again) how women can exit the gym looking sort of pap stroll-ready. I know I look like the wrath of God when I leave the gym – I’m sweat-drenched, exhausted, red-faced and drained. How does Taylor look this cute after working out? Did she just do a few burpees and call it a day?
Meanwhile, as we heard late last week, Tay-Tay is not coming to the VMAs tonight. She wants you to believe that her absence was her choice, but I sort of believe that MTV sent a pretty clear signal that they didn’t want her this year when she didn’t get any VMA nominations (again, she claimed that was her choice too). I’ve been saying that the perfect revenge would be for Taylor to fly to Australia and do a pap stroll with Tom Hiddleston. I can’t find any evidence that she’s left New York, although a lot could change in the next 12-24 hours. I really find it hard to believe that Taylor would stay in New York and NOT go to the VMAs (they’re back in NYC this year).
What else? Media TakeOut claimed that Taylor’s absence from this year’s VMAs has very little to do with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, receipts or snake emojis. They claimed that Beyonce threw her weight around with MTV producers and had Taylor “banned.” Allegedly, Beyonce told MTV that she wouldn’t even perform if Taylor attended. Gossip Cop called bulls—t, and I think GC is right on this one. Beyonce and Jay-Z have historically been nice to Taylor. They’re not BFFs or anything, but Bey and Jay refuse to beef with Taylor like Kanye.

Taylor has no nominations and no album to promote. I’m baffled why people are making a huge deal that she’s not attending.
I doubt that Taylor works out. Maybe some stretching. At least now she’s better at faking it by wearing workout clothes. She used to wear redcarpet ready clothing with perfect hair and makeup.
What gets me is she made $160 million + last year. She can’t afford a gym in each of her homes?
Gyms have a nice social aspect to them, unless you are talking about one of those places that only provide a room filled with machines. They have trainers and services, provide fluffy towels. They frequently have juice bars and massage services. I just joined a gym sponsored at my job that even offers blow drying services, as well as an outdoor pool with fountains and under water Zumba. (I think my company wants us all to stop looking for other employment). It’s a freakin’ mini-Versailles, and would be a great setting for a post apocalyptic movie. I suspect this is what she actually likes. She has never struck me as a gym bunny.
I’d guess it’s a specific trainer/class/equipment that she’s going for. A fair amount of celebrities go to these high end gyms for that reason. (If she’s actually working out)
I would like to know why people think she should install her own gym equipment instead of going to a gym. Even if I had her money I wouldn’t do that– it would feel so weird, like bowling alone.
If you’re living in NYC, even in the kind of big apartment she’d live in, space is at a premium. It’s easier to just join a gym.
If that equipment breaks she would have to call someone to fix it. And she might not want a trainer in her house.
Because home gym equipment is famous for being used all the time.
These “gym pap strolls” are bs. Not quite the weapons-grade level of bs as her gym pap strolls from a few years ago in NYC, but still. She is carrying NOTHING, o bag, no water bottle…no HAIR ELASTIC. And look closely. She is in nearly FULL makeup. Either she took a moment to change into something not sweaty and did her makeup and hair, or I smell a rat. (a non-gym rat). She’s wearing LIPSTICK and FOUNDATION for Petes sake.

I don’t know if Taylor works out every time she’s papped to and from these gyms, but she obviously works out. She used to be a wet noodle but now she has clear definition in her arms, shoulders and legs. Also, she goes to Body by Simone which is the choice of supermodels. They usually come out of that gym looking flawless. Same thing with the other VS model fave, Ballet Beautiful. You can do that workout feeling like a broken human being yet not break a sweat at all. Strange torture.
MTV does love to instigate drama. They had no problem with Christina Aguilera attending the same night Eminem performed a song that contained vile lyrics about her. They didn’t pick favorites or an ethical stand then, unless you can name choosing ratings as a stand.

This is getting borderline ridiculous. I highly doubt Beyoncé cares at all. I don’t even believe MTV doesn’t want Swift to attend the VMAs. If she would be there people would tune in just to see her face when Kanye is on stage. This is not a HIgh School party where the least unpopular student of the moment isn’t invited. This is about ratings and with Kanye and Taylor in the same room it would be even more lucrative for MTV.

Paneled leggings have become sort of a fashion craze. I’m not sure who started it (Victoria’s Secret maybe), but I see a lot of people wearing them mainly for fashion purposes. Some people work out in them too lol. They’re cute, but every time I see them I just think some business exec was like, ” Hey guys, what if we took leggings, cut the material we make them by 30%, AND charged the same price 😈”

I’ve been seeing the sheer panel leggings at my gym lately too. Some of them are cute, but they mostly just look like they have a very weird fit and that sheer panel bit looks like it would be HOT.
I crack up at Tay-Tay’s “post-workout” pap stroll photos. Perfectly tousled hair, perfect no-makeup makeup (although I saw her the other day with perfect red lipstick on), no sports bra (despite her now rather ample chest), and not a drop of sweat to be seen. She’s either showering & putting on fresh makeup & clothes before leaving the gym, or she ain’t working out.
I’m not a fan of Beyonce – especially after the lemonade thing which seemed far too scripted – but I doubt she’s insecure or unprofessional enough to ask anyone to be banned from the VMAs. Now Tay-Tay on the other hand ….

Hmm, somehow I doubt Taylor would lower herself to using a public shower, no matter how plush the gym was, especially since that would also involve removing articles of clothing while mere mortals (even if they are part of the 1%) milled about in close proximity. Or do her bodyguards clear the area so she can have privacy? The mind boggles at the logistics.
p.s. I am also part of the steamed lobster brigade, and I don’t shower at the gym. I drag my damp, messy self back to my own place and hope I don’t encounter another living soul along the way.
Yes, exercise leggings with sheer panels are now a “thing” and no, noone but Taylor and the Victoria Secret models look like this after working out. My bet is that they have the apres-workout shower, hair and no-makeup makeup routine down pat, heck the gym probably has a beauty staff on standby just so these ladies can make the pap stroll looking like they’ve never sweated in their life.

Doubtful! I hate when the people who make up these stories find it necessary to pin women against each other. Why would Beyonce care at all about Taylor Swift being at the same location as her? Because they’re both extremely successful women with huge fanbases? It’s so ridiculous.
I think it’s a lot more likely that Taylor isn’t showing up because she isn’t looking for the drama/confrontation that would surely be awaiting her since Kanye and Kim will be there. I also think Taylor and her team are smart enough to know that her overexposure since getting with Tom Hiddleston isn’t doing her any favors, so she’s keeping a lower profile.
+1 … and I think one of the main reasons Taylor has no interest in attending is not only the Kanye thing — his new art exhibit and also Calvin Harris is nominated for like 3 awards. I think Taylor Swift not showing up at the VMA’s has more to do with Katy Perry being the opening act and Taylor not being sure of what Katy is planning on saying or what song she will open up with. I’m not sure if this is true, but according to some, Katy Perry has at least one song on her new album about Taylor.

Those panel leggings are for women that want to wear pants but not overheat – the sheer paneling isn’t usually pantyhose. Plus there are only so many ways to make workout pants interesting.
It’s obviously not true, but Beyoncé couldnt do it anyway. It’s not like Taylor is some second tier pop star MTV wouldn’t care about not having there, she’s a huge artist who in most areas is significantly more successful than Beyoncé (much higher sales, more hit singles, even bigger tours etc.). This VMA’s might be about Beyonce, but at least a few in the future are going to be about Taylor. If they disinvited her she’d never show again, and that would be a problem for them.
