Wait, that’s Michelle Williams? She looks… different.

    • Ji-yun says:

Agree. I was going to say it’s the hair color washing her out, but I’m not too sure. Maybe the hair and the frail ol’ lady pose? But, yep, agree. She does look kinda not herself.

(Unless you were joking about it not being Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child fame in which case please amend my reply to: LOL).

    • alice says:

she never gives a genuine, full and sincere smile. It seems as she has so much going on inside her head: I think she never recovered from Heath’s death..

    • Neelyo says:

She looks like she’s trying to get away from him.

  2. Hannah says:

Casey Affleck is a much better actor than his brother.

    • JK3 says:

Woah. I hope this gets more play/press. With all the Nate Parker stuff in the news, journalists shouldn’t shy away from asking problematic individuals about their own pasts.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Casey and his dud-bro are scummy pigs, without a doubt- but NP raped a woman (acquitted or not, his behavior then and now screams “Guilty!” to me) then bullied her, got a large portion of the student body to bully her, and the harassment & assault drove her to such a state that ultimately she took her own life.

The victimized women in the Affleck case settled out of court. I’m not minimizing the harassment they endured ( I was physically sexually harassed at work during my twenties) but it does not rise to the degree of abuse NP et al inflicted on the deceased woman. 🙁

      • alice says:

I get your point totally and I agree is not the same but media attention wise this is as despicable as Nate’s case…and who can tell if probably Casey was just half a bottle of whisky away from ending doing what Nate did…an abuser is an abuser: the difference is just opportunity.

      • Neelyo says:

It will be interesting to see if this gains traction. I think there will be people (cough, Al Sharpton) who will portray this as a racial double standard and it may work.

      • Jellybean says:

Wow! I am sorry, but you cannot say a man is effectively a rapist because you think he would have raped someone if he had had the opportunity.

  3. minx says:

    Ivanka, just….go away.

    • Neelyo says:

seriously. She flat our lied about Clinton’s childcare policy while Trump’s plan is straight out of 1952.

      • Tiffany :) says:

People have withheld criticism if Ivanka because they say she seems harmless and is just supporting her dad. When she goes about making huge whopper lies like this, she isn’t so harmless!

    • North of Boston says:

      +1

  4. Jellybean says:

I am so glad for Lucas Hedges. He played Jeremy Renner’s son in Kill the Messenger and he was wonderful in a scene where he confronts his dad about his infidelity. His dad was his hero and he was crushed; the tears just rolled down his face and he made me cry too. I thought at the time he was a great raw talent and now there is a good chance he will get an oscar nomination. Excellent!

  5. Michelina says:

I guess Emily Rata-whatever is taking style notes from Kim K. That outfit looks like she raided Kim’s closet. I’m always surprised how much influence the Kardashian/Jenner Klan has come to have over society. Not just regular people, but also celebrities. They’re pretty parasitic.

  6. Bridget says:

I am not a Casey Affleck fan at all. I can’t get past his creepy offscreen persona.

  7. Camille says:

Judging the movie by the trailer, that movie looks so boring and like a TV movie. I don’t get the hype at all :/ .

  8. Ashley says:

Michelle Williams does NOTHING for me. I saw her in “Blackbird” on Broadway and thought she was, meh. Her acting irks me. Overrated.

  9. Dani says:

I can’t help it, but I just adore Casey Affleck. He could be the biggest douche in real life, but he’s just so likable on film.

  10. Hannah says:

Casey Affleck is creepy and I thought so even before he paid a couple of women off to take their lawsuits and go away. It is such a double standard that he isn’t being taken to task (or even asked) about the sexual harassment. It doesn’t even need to involve the Nate Parker situation. If actors who work with the likes of Woody Allen and Roman Polanski are questioned by the media and the public, why does Affleck get a pass? He got out his checkbook, made it all go away — that’s a guilty man right there. I am thinking that a rival studio is biding its time before bringing it up in the press and his house of cards/Oscar hopes will come crashing down.

Can’t stand Casey and won’t support him. I do like MW, but not enough to support Casey. He’s not a good person.

her body language says it all.
