When Jennifer Lopez dumped Casper Smart in late August, the gossip was a total yawn. Everyone in the world knew that Casper was and is shady, and the only real mystery was “why did Jennifer stick with Casper for so many years?” The consensus around the breakup was sort of “well, at least she didn’t marry this one,” which I do think is a major plus. That being said, there was some drama around the split, like questions about what exactly was the final straw, and whether Casper was trying to win her back by claiming squatter’s rights or whatever. Well, now that we’re about two months removed from the breakup, we’re finally finding out what really happened: Casper cheated on her.

“She kicked him out because he cheated on her and he got caught,” says the source. “It happened two years ago, and he promised he would never do it again and once he did, she was done.”
Recently, the source says “he’s been doing everything he can to get back together, working on himself and posting on his Instagram saying that ‘Life is Good’ and showing off his new leg tattoo that says ‘You must embrace the darkness to see the light.’” While there were reports back in August that they broke up after Smart, 29, failed to attend a party in the Hamptons with Lopez, 47, the source says that is not the case.
“The truth is, he was cheating and now that it’s over he’s been begging to come back,” the source says. “He says he’s changed and that he is a new man but recently, on a video shoot for Wisin in Mexico, he was posting videos with bikini-clad dancers and not acting like a guy trying to remedy old habits. He was kicked to the curb not because he did not attend a party with J. Lo but because he was caught having parties of his own,” says the source. “No one has time for that, especially J. Lo.”
A rep for Smart confirmed that the dancer served as a creative director for a new music video for Wisin that was shot in Mexico this past week but added that everything was “strictly work, nothing personal.”
Well… I’m glad she’s finally acknowledging that he cheated on her two years ago because she certainly acted like she didn’t believe those stories. There were also stories about Casper cheating on her in 2015 too. So is Casper a cheater and is that the real reason why Jennifer finally had enough? Probably. But I also think they’re still in contact and she’s still involved with him, at least emotionally. Look at that quote from the “source” about Casper’s behavior while at a video shoot. If J.Lo didn’t care what he was up to, why all the pearl-clutching about Casper spending time with girls in bikinis?

Jennifer is the definition of needy and co-dependent in her romantic life. So it’s not surprising based on her personality. For me it’s just surprising that someone with her fame would put up with it. She could easily replace him even if she is needy.
@M, Jennifer cheated on her second husband with Ben Afflick. He was so bold about it he sent. Jlo flowers while they were still living together with her husband. That was a big scandal in those day. You can look it up. The word on the street is Jlo always have someone on the side before she leaves the one she’s with. Word on the street now is she is trying to get back with Mark Anthony. I’m not a fan so I’m just saying what I heard reading the weekly rags.

The stupidity is beyond me. Gets life of luxury handed to him on a platter. A beautiful women and Doesn’t even need to pretend he worked for it. Screws it up… twice. His parents probably want to strangle him.
While I think he’s totally shady and I never understood why she took up with him in the first place, she strikes me as the type of person who needs constant reassurance of how amazing she is and I would get tired of that. We have no idea what she’s like to live with. Maybe she’s the type who constantly reminds him that he’s nothing without her and her millions. That would get old quickly. Not defending him by any means. I have zero tolerance for cheaters. He used that goose for all her golden eggs. Just saying that I’m sure life with her may have been draining.

She’s not too old for him in terms of chronological age, but definitely in terms of emotional maturity.
I think she should be with the one who knows her the best; likes her for who she is; and has been there for her career-wise and through the personal crises, and that person is Benny Medina. If he’s single and available, she should try to make something permanent with him. He has been there for her forever, and he knows the real JLO. If he didn’t like the real JLO he wouldn’t be friends with her OR work with her so closely. And, he’s rich and successful, he doesn’t need her money or her celebrity. But of course knowing JLO she can’t just be with a good, stable man.. no no…
Confession: I did like her with Marc Anthony. I just don’t think they worked out because she’s really needy and he won’t cater to that the way she wants. Sometimes she reminds me of Mariah Carey when it comes to their expectations of dating and relationships–they expect to be treated like a princess 24/7, but life is full of so much stuff, and a busy man who is successful in his career needs a confident woman who can stand her ground and be his equal, not someone who thinks his entire life mission is about catering to her every whim and dealing with her neediness/insecurity allll day long. It’s too much. I love JLO’s personality and music, and some of her movies. I love the old Mariah songs. I wish they would both grow up and act like adults already..
