Michelle Obama dancing at Hillary Clinton’s NC rally is our new happy place

Isn’t it amazing how powerful Michelle Obama has become in this election? She has so much power and popularity, even Donald Trump can barely say her name. He’s one of the dumbest men in the world, and even he realizes that it would be profoundly stupid to talk sh-t about MO. But what is so interesting to me – I even hope someone writes a book about it – is the way MO has become Hillary Clinton’s most effective surrogate. I was not expecting that. I thought it would be Joe Biden or Pres. Obama, hell, I even thought Bill Clinton would be the bigger surrogate. But it’s Michelle. And Hillary knows it too.

Michelle joined Hillary Clinton at a rally yesterday in North Carolina, and if you had just watched this without knowing the backstory, you would think that Michelle was running for president and Hillary was there to introduce Michelle. Hillary hugged Michelle like MO was her best friend in the world. Hillary wouldn’t stop singing her praises!

The big-funny moment came when Hillary mentioned MO and Pres. Obama dancing and MO did a little dance in her seat. This is my new happy place.

Here’s the full video of the rally – while both women made comments which made news, this wasn’t one of those “Michelle Obama gave a defining speech of the campaign” moments. Don’t get me wrong, every MO speech is amazing. But the reaction to this speech in particular was more subdued.

Everything about that little snippet is amazing. Lady gangsters, both of them. I hope at least one of the Obamas has an active position in this Clinton administration.

I just love her! She has been a strong voice for Hillary.

I can’t wait to vote and for this election to be over with.

I’m excited to see what Michelle Obama does next. She has really championed the obesity and health crisis in an effective way. I’d love to see her add more to what she’s started.

Can Michelle also run for President in 8 yrs, 12 yrs, whenever Please. LOVE HER.
The GOP would lose their minds.

Let’s see – Michelle, Hillary and Elizabeth W – intelligent, strong, beautiful women standing together against the racists and male chauvinists.

No wonder Trump and his pathetic deplorables are losing their minds on a daily basis.

I really have no doubt that the Obamas are not going out to pasture like a lot of ex presidents/wives tend to do (or retire from political life) and are going to be an active part of the Clinton administration….knock on wood of course on all fronts.

They are staying in Washington, so that’s a good sign. 🙂

That’s at least in part to let the youngest finish high school where she started.

They’re actually moving to California after Sasha is done with school. They’ve already bought a house, I believe in the Palm Springs area. When they were deciding where to move post-D.C., Michelle was the one who wanted to move to California. President Obama preferred NYC as their home base, reportedly. Neither wanted to return to Chicago.

Since 2014, there have been rumblings within Democratic circles of Michelle Obama running for Senate- specifically CA Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s seat when she (likely) retires in 2018. Senator Feinstein herself has said she’d be flattered if Michelle Obama ran for her seat. With California’s strong history of electing women senators (Boxer, Feinstein currently, and Boxer’s replacement), plus Michelle’s preference for CA relocation, the signs are pointing to another Obama campaign.

I hope Michelle will be running for president in the near future.

Michelle is Hillary’s secret weapon, for sure. I really love how Michelle has gone all out on the campaign trail for Hillary, and also President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, and Senator Bernie Sanders, plus Bill Clinton, among others from the Democratic Party out campaigning for Hillary. Last, but definitely not least, Elizabeth Warren has also been helping out on the trail. It’s an embarrassment of riches for Hillary, the caliber of Democrats supporting her so publicly to help get her elected and put out the message and platform of the Democratic Party. I didn’t leave out Tim Kaine. That’s a given since he’s on the ticket..

And who does Trump have on the trail as a surrogate stumping for him besides his running mate Pence? Anybody? (Crickets) On the news talk shows, he has Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich, and Governor Christie. (Shudder) What a mess!

Michelle Obama is everything, always. I’m going to miss her soooo much, but I take solace in the fact that she will be much happier doing her thing outside of politics.

I love Michelle so much. She and Barack are constant comfort to me when I’m stressed about the country.

I needed these clips this morning. Seeing white men just get away with everything, at every freakin’ level, can really beat me down sometimes. I have two shining examples this morning of “Dare to have the confidence of a mediocre white man” just staring me in the face and I want to scream! And if I’m this angry, with all of the privileges that I know I have as a middle class, minivan driving mom, I can’t even imagine how enraging life has to be for so many other people without my advantages. This is why I am so thankful for the fierce and fabulous women we get to see here, like Michelle and Hillary, like Ava Duvarney and Beyonce and Jill Soloway (Topple the patriarchy!), and all the women around the world that struggle even harder!
