I’m going to give Kylie Jenner some credit. This is my Halloween gift to her! She did really well for this weekend’s Halloween parties. Her costume was a thrownback to a simpler time, but it wasn’t racist nor was it basic, which makes it a vast improvement over so many Halloween costumes. It actually “fit” Kylie’s personality really well too. Kylie decided to dress up as… Christina Aguilera in her Dirrty phase, circa 2002.
You guys… this works so well. This might be one of the best Halloween costumes this year. First of all, Kylie genuinely looks like Aguilera circa 2002. Second of all, Kylie really worked on getting it authentic, with the chaps and the multicolored wig. Third… it just looks really good. It’s a “sexy” Halloween costume, but it’s not something you see everywhere.

Kylie definitely did better than her sisters – Kendall just wore a sort of “sexy goth vampire” ensemble (you can see it here) and Kourtney was… some sort of corpse bride.

It is a fantastic costume…but looking at her dressed like that and dancing like that with her dead eyes makes me feel a little sad and a little nauseous.
A little light in her eyes would’ve made this outfit complete, but you’re right – it’s just sad.
I really do feel sorry for Kylie. It’s been said before, but she never stood a chance growing up in that family. I can barely imagine what must be going on to have such drastic plastic surgery at such a young age, and not only that, but parents who are complicit insofar as they give her a bank card and precious little guideance.
This girl needs to swap the Momager for a therapist ASAP.

It’s such a cool costume – my favorite celeb one this year! My 12-year-old self would have killed for this outfit (and the chance to wear it which never would have been allowed by my parents).

They really can’t dance. Remember Kim at Prince’s concert? I think they all lack confidence and that really is instrumental when it comes to dancing.
I think she was definitely caught off guard when he wanted her to dance.
It was common for him to invite fans on stage. They often froze as well but he was usually able to get them to move a little.
That video with Kim is priceless though.

Her costume is a blonde wig, blue contact lenses and a bra for a top but isn’t that just a typical Friday night out for Kylie?
Because that video and time period for Christina was such a runaway from her image and the outfit video are so memorable. What makes it even more brilliant (probably unintentionally) is that Kylie found a way to wear something that’s not far from her own look, yet completely and surprisingly called back to a really iconic video and pop star. She kind of nailed it for being as basic as she is. She did more than just wear skimpy clothing.
She DEF should have practiced the booth shake though because Christina’s attitude is what made her iconic. She had “dare me” and “yes I did” in every eye smirk photo from that chaos period and that’s something Kylie will not likely ever have, the spark.
Yeah where’s the costume? Body displayed, lather, rinse, repeat.
Agreed Kylie does not have the spark. But Xtina had that combo of sadness and fragility (that album took a lot from her past and she gave it all) AND emancipation/ free sexuality that doesn’t give two fcks about all those pearlclutching slutcallers.
That is the spark we saw, and that is hard to reproduce.

It seems like people should be over being saddened by skin/revealing clothing in 2016. The look itself is good as far as looking like the original, but it would have been more Halloweeny if she had added some kind of horror movie/zombie/vampire twist to it.
I can’t imagine what causes a 19 year old to lose the spark her eyes. Is it because her parents didn’t value her as much as her more conventionally pretty older sister? Is it because she realizes that she doesn’t have any real marketable skills to support herself once the awful KUWTHK show ends? Is it because she realizes that she has reached her apex at 19? That she’s financially supporting her loser boyfriend?

I have to say it is a sexy costume that makes sense. Even if she is dresses very sexy most of the time, this is a costume. She is not just a sexy nurse, sexy witch or sexy police officer.

This child is living her dream. I used to watch their show and in the earliest episodes, Kylie was ALWAYS hanging off the stripper pole in her parents’ bedroom (yes, they had a stripper pole in their bedroom) and trying to be sexy, and she was like 10-years-old at the time. In later episodes, when Kendall was beginning to model, she was trying to be a model also and got shut down by her own parents because she wasn’t model material. Now that she’s got her own money and can pay for her own plastic surgery, she has created the image that she has always wanted. It would appear that her only aspiration in life has been to be sexy. It’s a sad life, but whatever.
I find this underwhelming. Definitely not in the orbit of best celeb costume this year… I mean, I get that this gets points for a bit of originality.. . Sexy costumes just bore me to tears. They all look the same in the end.

Im confused as I thought it was all about being vampires, ghosts, warewolves and the likes. But what I always see is people dressing up in customes as a celebrity….celebrity dressing up as each other…..I just always wondered.

really it’s just any sort of costume or disguise you want. you can be a shower curtain or a telephone or a foot if you want. people go for the “sexy” or the “crusty zombie fake blood” thing bc it is easy.

OMG! I was doing marathon of Brotney and xtina videos on youtube this weekend and then this happens lol! She looks dead on, good for her. One thing i always notice is her posture – her shoulders are always is some weird position – either oushed way back or way up. She must have some serious headache/ neck ache. Chill grl!

So what Halloween isn’t about being scary anymore. As adults the so called scary stuff is just boring and trite. How many interations of vampire, ghost, mummy, zombie can there be?? I used up all my scary costume ideas when I was 12 and I don’t feel like wearing a bed sheet for a ghost costume again.
