Even an ice-cold, Halloween-hating B like me appreciates it when someone puts a lot of time, effort, thought and humor into their costume. That’s how it is for Beyonce’s Halloween costume. She and her family did a theme, and the theme was Salt N’ Pepa. YAS!!!
I’m looking through the ‘80s photos of Salt N Pepa to figure out who Beyonce is supposed to be channeling. I think she’s Spinderella. I think Blue Ivy was Salt and Tina Knowles-Lawson was Pepa. Jay-Z got into too, but he just looked like some rando ‘80s guy. Still, it’s super-cute. And I love that the theme was mostly about the women, that there are three generations of Knowles women representing Salt N Pepa, one of the most iconic girl groups of all time. Jay is a sidenote!! As it should be.

This is so random, but I didn’t know B had those cute freckles on the side of her face. She’s usually so caked with make-up. I think she looks better without it. Just a random opinion thrown in there. The costumes are great! Blue Ivy always has that feisty look in her eyes. You can tell she’s a sassy one.

Yes! Dwayne Wayne! He was one of my all time favorite characters on TV growing up……One of my first crushes after Macgver & TC from Magnum. Best choice of the three by far!

Ever since they’ve had a child they have been consistently killing it on Halloween. The Janet/Michael, Frida Kahlo/Jean Michel Basquiat/Baby Basquiat, Coming to America costume,etc.
And it has been really cute watching a man go from only briefly hanging Jason masks around his neck to really going all out with wigs, fake staches and everything!

Mama Tina looks so young. They all look super fab especially Bey with the darker hair. I love that Jay Z just seems content to let his ladies be great and just stay in the background.
