Jennifer Lawrence almost killed someone by scratching her butt on sacred rocks

wenn30544347

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt were in Europe all of last week doing the first wave of press for their holiday film, Passengers. I’m calling it a “holiday film” because it’s being released the week before Christmas in the hopes that bored holiday moviegoers will want to see two of the biggest Hollywood stars be romantic together. Anyway, I’m including photos from their stops in London (J-Law in the red-and-black printed Proenza Schouler dress) and Berlin (J-law in the black-and-white polka-dotted Dolce & Gabbana two-piece). I weirdly like the Proenza Schouler dress and absolutely loathe the D&G. I also dislike Jennifer’s current extensions, they look so fake and cheap.

Anyway, during their stop in London, Chris and Jennifer filmed an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Both have appeared on the show before, to great results, and I can understand why Graham wanted them both on the couch. He probably thought it was going to be Peak Charisma. But the result was actually sort of annoying. Jennifer told one story about filming on one of the Hunger Games movies in Hawaii, and how she kept scratching her butt on sacred rocks, so much so that she actually dislodged one of the rocks and almost killed someone.

The headlines for this story are along the lines of “J-Law’s butt almost killed someone” and “J-Law’s butt-scratching put someone in mortal danger.” But the story is really f—ked up, right? If the rocks are sacred, um… don’t use them to scratch your ass. And it’s not funny that she destroyed a sacred site and almost killed someone, and did extensive damage to the production. I get that we’re supposed to be like “OMG, she’s so relatable and puppy-ish.” But this story is the worst.

Speaking of the worst, Chris Pratt tried to bring the charm by doing a magic trick. I’ll admit, the last part was sort of cool, but this bit just went on way too long. It seemed like something Tom Hiddleston would do.

All in all, not the best couch. Sometimes Norton gets a really good combination, sometimes it falls flat.

  1. Chaucer says:

She’s so annoying and she’s absolutely done something to her face. I’ve noticed it the last few red carpets. Subtle, I can’t put my finger on it. Definitely not just bad makeup though.

    • manda says:

she does have a bit of a joker smile in the bottom pic…

      • asd says:

I’m one of those people who believe her nose is all natural (looked at many pics from over the years and really see no difference, unless she had it done very young and only stepped into the spotlight later) BUT I’m pretty sure she had a filler in her upper lip very recently. Like, these pics are the first where I see it, but it’s pretty obvious. Many people remarked on Emma Stone’s recent post that she had a filler in her lips, maybe it was their mutual idea?

    • Locke Lamora says:

She had a nose job years ago.

She is the most annoying. And incredibly overrated. Are we really surprised she’s entitled? Its not the first timr.

I saw a youtube blogger describe how she, Josh and Liam were rude to him durin the HG press cycle. I’m biased because I really don’t like her, but I believe it.

      • Jasmine says:

        What is the blogger called?

      • Gwen says:

Maybe the Fame is going to her Head, but it is not really bright to tell that story, shows how much she is living in a Bubble…
…net really down to earth or humble….

      • Jess says:

        @Jasmine

The blogger she’s referring to is called Joey Graceffa who is notorious for his giant ego and douchey ways. This is the same guy who once parked in front of someone’s driveway and then proceeded to bully the guy who got his car towed and played the victim even though there was photographic evidence that he illegally blocked the guy’s driveway.

Also his “encounter” was basically him crying about they didn’t talk to him enough and how they didn’t understand his “two truths one lie game” that he wanted to play with them for his interview. That’s literally it. He said that he was intimidated by them because they were the “biggest stars” and that they were talking to each other/on their phones before the interview. He basically got star struck and then proceeded to blame them for not talking to him enough.

      • Locke Lamora says:

I didn’t know his name, I saw him in another blogger’s video. My bad then.

      • floooa says:

I remember that…Its odd how it wasnt talked about more. Good P.R. people.

    • paolanqar says:

      She is so relatable NOT.
      God I can’t stand her.

    • minx says:

She was SO beautiful at the Oscars when she was nominated for Winter’s Bone. She wore that simple red dress; her face was more natural and she looked stunning.
Now she looks jacked, even at her young age.

    • cindy says:

I’m looking and looking but can’t see it. What part of her face are you thinking?

    • Samtha says:

She looks awful. I’m not sure what’s going on with her. Maybe just not aging well.

      • Justjj says:

I honestly think her makeup just looks like hell. I don’t think she looks that different. Her extensions look like creepy serial killer wig hair or something. Like she got them and was all Buffalo Bill in the mirror?

      • Jess says:

Jesus f*cking christ, are we really going to criticize a 20 something year old’s looks with dumb “aging” comments? Great job perpetuating sexist hollywood standards there Samtha.

      • Ann says:

She’s a young woman, there’s no “aging” there, can we stop being so sexist?

  2. Kate says:

If they were really sacred rocks I’d be very surprised if they got permission to film there. Someone scratching up against rocks is nothing compared to the damage a large crew would do.

I know someone who filmed a documentary about Hawaiian culture, and she had to jump through major hoops to prove her reason for having to film in sacred areas was valid.

    • Cami says:

Jennifer and costars weren’t warned beforehand that rocks were sacred. This story told two years ago during mockingly press tour. The state of Hawaii gave them permission to film at this site stop spewing anger before you know the real story . Hawaii understood that they weren’t warn ahead of time

      • Nicole says:

Yea i remember the story from THG press they had permits but no one told the larger crew onsite that the area was sacred.

      • Hazel says:

It’s entirely possible that if the state of Hawaii gave permission to film there, then the rocks were not sacred, or the state did not know about them, OR, they were only sacred to a few Hawaiians. Native Hawaiian Organizations, or NHO’s, can consist of as few as one person. All NHO’s do not agree on the proper treatment of anything, nor do they agree on what is sacred and what isn’t.

      • floooa says:

        The whole story sounds fishy.

Its unlikely they did their due diligence. And where is the remorse?

  3. what's inside says:

Why is she so disrespectful to social norms? Is she just a crass personality?

    • Trixie says:

Narcissist, they only care for themselves, and want to be in the center of attention, at all costs…

      • Jess says:

how is someone a narcissist if they have no social media accounts and will disappear from the media if they are not promoting a movie or project?

      • floooa says:

A smart narcissist knows when to say when…?

      • asd says:

        @Jess
She might have good advisors. Every smart person in this business knows overexposure will kill your chances of getting really good roles. Look at Goop, no one will ever buy her as anyone other than Goop. She’s done as an actress, she’s a brand now.

When JLaw does get to go on a press tour though, it’s obvious she’s drunk on the attention she’s getting.

  4. OSTONE says:

I have zero interest to see this movie. Even if the “two movie stars of the moment” are in there. I am just waiting for La La Land.

  5. kri says:

I cannot stand her. Never could. What’s next? Peeing in a holy water basin? Eating bacon in a mosque? Go away, JLaw.

  6. Nicole says:

Im a JLaw fan and yea I was not laughing at this one. Just like I no longer laugh at her binge drinking stories either. They aren’t cute. You’re 25 not 15 at some point you need to grow up a bit. That doesn’t mean lose your goofy personality but a little more responsibility and awareness would be good.

    • Steph says:

This. Im starting to think she has a drinking problem. The thing is that she was down to earth and more respectful when she first started doing interviews for winter’s bone and xmen. After all the hunger games movies she did changed a lot.

      • minx says:

I also think winning the Oscar (undeserved IMO) and tripping and being cutesy has gone to her head.
I was young once and dippy and gushy, but she needs to take a step back.

      • Nicole says:

I’m starting to think so as well. Maybe the pressure she’s under and the (well documented) anxiety she suffers from moves her to drink…but thats terrible and it will catch up to her. Drinking to cope never works out for long. I get the behavior when she was on THG. The cast was young and it was basically college for them. But now she’s older and she’s still telling stories of vomiting after drinking too much…its an issue. I drank way more than i should in college but once i graduated i scaled it way back because I’m an adult (a year older than jen actually).

she needs to get it together and i agree that she’s changed after the THG movies. Maybe she’s not adjusting well to being without people she’s been around for 5 years of her life.

      • Trixie says:

Fame and getting worshipped, you need a strong personality (personality at all) to stay grounded….she isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, that’s shure.

  7. ;)(; says:

I’m torn – I don’t know whether I like her or not lol

  8. CharlotteCharlotte says:

So…she really learnt something there then, huh? I only know her from here, but I’m still not getting it.

That red & black dress is lovely.

  9. Rachel says:

I honestly don’t think these stories are even real anymore, just something churned out by her PR team to help her promote herself and her movies.

  10. Trixie says:

Gosh, she is soo annoying, the Oscar was not deserved, the “girl next door” narrative isn’t working at all, and all the clumsy little acts are only pathetic, i don’t find her attractive at all, very Hollywood Barbie, and all the “i’m a chubby Gir” nonsense, she is very slim, very Hollywood.
Nothing is authentic, all is plastic and fake. Her Smile is one of the fakest i ever saw.

    She is mediocre.

    • Crowdhood says:

@trixie I know this is a gossip sight and I am by no means a fan of Jennifer Lawrence but you just went IN on her. From attitude to body to face to acting skills- she’s super annoying for sure but you seem a bit excessive here.

      • Trixie says:

@ Crowdhood, yeah it’s a gossip site, full stop.
This is exactly what GossipSites are for, she choosed to be in the limelight, she is permanently talking about her body, she herself brought it out here, so this is it, or should we talk about her last dissertation…oh right…..

    • V4Real says:

Oh boy, she’s slowly becoming the new Anne Hathaway.

I still think Jennifer and Chris looks like brother and sister.

      • Bex says:

Is it ok to admit that I really like Anne Hathaway? Never got the hate for her. Maybe it was because I’ve been that annoying nerdy theatre kid type, but really her own crime is to be too earnest and eager to please. I could never imagine Anne boasting about destroying a set and disrespecting sacred sites.

      • Saks says:

I don’t agree with comparing her to Hathaway. Although Anne can be a little too much sometimes, at least she is always very nice to people and tries to keep it classy (but I never undestood the hate for her anyway).

      • minx says:

Bex, same. I never hated A H, she was just a bit gushy. I agree she wouldn’t have joked about this like JL.

      • Trixie says:

I don’t think Anne and JL are comparable, Anne seems to be rather classy and low key, never saw her being loud and annoying or even rude…never…

  11. Melody says:

That is so disrespectful. Those rocks are spiritually sacred to some people.

  12. Kasia says:

She is serving some Khloe Kardashian after a binger realness in that top picture.

    • Ankhel says:

Why would ANYONE want a dress that looks like a roll of fat has ripped a seam? I don’t get these newfangled trends. Get off my lawn!!!

  13. Marianne says:

I assume she didnt know the rocks were sacred at the time. But, even if she learned about that afterwards perhaps its not best to “joke” about the situation.

    • JulP says:

Exactly. The fact that she’s able to joke about it demonstrates her complete lack of respect for Native cultures.

I’ve never gotten all of the love for this girl. Her whole persona is fake as hell and she says problematic things all the time (like after her nude pics were leaked, she joked that “at least” she wasn’t a hermaphrodite, and even last week when she joked about Zika being the cure for overpopulation) but no one ever calls her out on it.

      • Trixie says:

        Thank you @ JulP!
All the problematic things she’s always saying, is prooving her lack of intelligence too…

      • Gwen says:

She was joking abot Zika as being the Cure for Overpopulation?, disgusting woman!
She seems to have no filter, foot in mouth-syndrome…

      • Courtney says:

She didn’t say she thought Zika virus was the cure to overpopulation. She was answering a question on what her biggest irrational fear was in an interview.

  14. SGWarne says:

I absolutely cannot stand JLaw, she is a slightly more palatable Amy S. The sacred rocks thing? She can F•ck straight off with that, you’re not the bear from the jungle book. Move along.

  15. Tiny Martian says:

Not sure what to say about the rocks story, I assume it’s exaggerated because that is the way JLaw tells stories. Not fond of the extensions. Think she looks gorgeous in that red patterned dress, though!

  16. Alix says:

The red-and-black dress really is gorgeous.

  17. giulia says:

Whether her tale is true or she’s embellishing it says a lot about her mentality and who she believes her audience is.

  18. Gippy says:

Eh – I still like her, but during her big promotion stints she seems a bit too ON. That said love both her looks, but I love a good polka dot!!!

  19. MrsBPitt says:

Since women are usually called out for any slight weight gain, I’m going to have to say, Chis looks a little chunky in these pics! That button on his jacket looks ready to pop! Looks like someone had a little too much pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving!!!

  20. Bex says:

I’ve never disliked her as much as some because I think her clumsiness is largely genuine even if she plays into that image but this is so blatantly disrespectful and leaves a really bad taste.

    • Miss V says:

This is a really good way to put it… My sentiments exactly. I don’t dislike her, but there’s something about her. I do not get all the adoration for her. To me, she’s super overrated and another example that money can’t buy class.

  21. OTHER RENEE says:

This is a woman (and I use that term loosely) who pees in sinks and doesn’t wash her hands after doing so. She’s disgusting and without class. Does she really need to tell the world that she repeatedly scratched her but on rocks?

The midriff outfit and hair are trashy looking. The red and black dress and shoes are fabulous.

    • emilybyrd says:

what i especially hate is how her behavior sometimes reinforces stereotypes that exist about people with blue collar roots that live in places like kentucky.

      • asd says:

Yep she’s like a pig dressed in pearls (I love pigs tho).

She also talked about how she ate gross food like tuna before kissing scenes with her costars in the Hunger Games. I can’t even eat when I read stories about her, it’s always something disgusting.

  22. Jayna says:

Jennifer is so pretty and talented, but comes across so immature. I don’t get how the director Darren Aronofsky, 47, who was with someone like the amazing Rachel Weisz for years, have a child together, can be interested in someone so goofy-acting like Jennifer.

  23. MiniMii says:

The whole goofy-dorky-girl-next-door thing is beyond old. I like her acting, but she either needs to tell her PR team to tone it down as they’re making her look like a right tw*t, or she just needs to grow up.

Scratching your ass on sacred rocks? Tacky & very disrespectful.

  24. ds says:

Just want to say I love Norton. He’s so cute

    • antipodean says:

I have to agree with you, @ds. Graham is my not so secret crush. His comedic timing is impeccable, and the writing and research on his show is of a very high standard, and rarely lets him down. He has a particular formula, and line in dry wit, that really appeals to me. He is not above sticking pins in stuffed shirts either, we sure do need that these days!

  25. Anilehcim says:

I’m late to the “I can’t stand this woman” party, but count me in. Enough already with the stupid stories, half of which I think are complete fabrications. Either that, or she does stupid things on purpose with the thought in her head that she’ll have a “funny” story to tell. I don’t find her relatable, I find her grating as hell. Society turned on Anne Hathaway so quickly and she is/was 1,000 times less than annoying than Jennifer.

    • Gwen says:

I don’t think she can get away forever with that behavior..Pride goes before a fall, maybe she need some reality check….but on the other hand, you can’t buy class……

      • Jess says:

        “you can’t buy class”

yeah, I’m sure donating two million to a children’s hospital means you’re the lowest of all classes.

  26. Saks says:

This episode was clearly going to be the battle of the Extra’s, for who is the most relatable, funny, down to earth, bro,…. I don’t think I’ll even watch it, same as I usually don’t watch Hiddles or cumberbatch ones, they try so hard it gets annoying.

  27. jerkface says:

Bish, get some Gold Bond and shut your mouth about your damn bung hole.

  28. isabelle says:

So tired of her “I’m just like you normals act”. She is that girl who tries to act like the boys because she thinks it make her look cool girl. Seriously ready for her career to start dying out, isn’t her time over yet?

  29. eleri says:

oh haha. i’m an ignorant entitled ass. i go to other people’s homelands and act like a jerk. oh haha. aren’t i cute? no. all of the world hates this behaviour.

  30. larry says:

Chris Pratt was cringing as much as we all were during that rock story! I liked the card trick though.

    • Gwen says:

Chris lived in Hawaii for several Years, maybe he knows a little bit about the natives and culture….

  31. jbap says:

Yawn. All the outrage here is wildly exaggerated. Sure, the joke was off-colour. But she didn’t bring it up: it was Norton who asked her about an event four years old. And yes, her humour sails close to the wind – meaning that she steps over the line sometimes. But that doesn’t make her arrogant, or an alcoholic, like some people here claim. She ‘s still one of the few stars whose interviews are always worth a look – and yes, she is very talented.

    • perplexed says:

I like her as an actress, but I find her interviews kind of dull. Maybe I’d find her interesting to listen to if I were still 16.

Conversely, I can’t really watch Julia Roberts in movies (anymore?), but I think her interviews are entertaining.

  32. prince says:

wage equality. jennifer was paid 20 million while chris was paid 12 million. if it was the other way around, hell would probably have frozen over.

    • Lex says:

She ‘deserves’ more than him. She is a bigger star and an award winning actress. His name has barely been tested at holding a major film. What about that makes them equal?
You don’t earn the same as your team leader at your job, nor should you.

      • prince says:

guardians of the galaxy and jurassic world made millions at the box office because of chris pratt.

this is wage inequality. if they did this to a woman, it will be front page news. stop being baised.

      • Jess says:

        @prince

You need to stop being biased. 1. guardians of the galaxy had the massive marvel machine backing it up and jurassic world was going to be a massive hit either way due to built in fanbase from the previous movies.

Also, Jennifer Lawrence has an oscar and holds the record for the highest grossing female action star in Hollywood. She has the critical and box office success that Chris Pratt does not have so stop it with the tone deaf arguments. If this was some other actress like milla jovovich getting millions over chris pratt then you have a semblance of a point.

      • Nat says:

They should both be paid the same since neither has opened a movie on their own.

      • Jess says:

        @Nat

Uh, she opened Joy…Not sure what you’re talking about. It made $100 million and had to compete against films like the revenant, hateful eight, star wars etc. And Will Smith opened concussion that same weekend and it was his lowest opening ever. (and only made $48 million worldwide) but I don’t see Will Smith making less money.

  33. Kitkatk8 says:

She’s been having filler (subtle) in that top lip for years now. Think maybe she’s gradually shifting to all over filler – maybe some Botox but subtle

  34. MissMerry says:

    these two are seriously insufferable.

They are like the two drunkest, most talkative people at a party but they dont’ realize they’re also being the most boring.

I would have walked out of the room mid-story if she was telling that butt-scratching story at a party….get to the point or stfu.

  35. Sam says:

Sony is banking on their Stars to bring in the box office and with stories like these yikes.

  36. Jessi says:

I love Jennifer Lawrence, but can we talk about the fact that she feels like she ALWAYS has to be funny? That sucks.

She’s talented, smart and gorgeous but she’s always doing fucking stand-up in her interviews because that’s the persona she created and what everyone is expecting. I’d like to see her just be serious more often. She must feel so much pressure to be “on” all the time.

  37. eatingpie says:

I find this so rude. It’s like if I made a joke about going to the Vatican and using something sacred there to scratch between my breasts, broke the artifact, and put it back down before proceeding to joke about it. It’s not funny when I do that, but somehow it’s humorous when Lawrence does it against indigenous peoples? I’m not here for that.

Also her final joke, saying that she’s a “curse” to them. Thank you for pointing out the obvious, that historically white people truly were and still are in a lot of ways, a curse to POC.
