LeAnn Rimes: ‘I totally believe there was a reason everything happened’

FFN_Stoianov_Rimes_LeAnn_120416_52248265

As promised, LeAnn Rimes will be releasing a new album. It’s just not a Christmas album. She’s releasing Remnants next February and she will support the album with a six-stop tour around the UK. She’s currently touring America with This Is Christmas, her scheme to cash in with people who want to go see holiday concerts, I guess. Basically, we’re about to get another LeAnn Rimes promotional tour. Here’s the thing though: does anyone care? Like, even the people who disliked LeAnn just sort of lost interest in her a while ago. Maybe that’s why she’s trying to rehash old dramas? LeAnn chatted with Access Hollywood recently, and she was asked point-blank about her sketchy romantic history, etc. I’m including the video at the end of the post. Some quotes:

On ruining two marriages: “This was my path. I totally believe that, I totally believe there was a reason everything happened. I absolutely believe there’s a reason why Eddie and I are together and I, um, was just… it was definitely a rough one. The greatest thing is that we’re just in an amazing place.”

Whether she’s misjudged: “I think that there’s a lot out there that is completely not me. I can see, honestly, how some people, if they read a magazine every week for the past seven years, could have this completely skewed view of me, but that isn’t me. I think that when you listen to my music and you meet me in person, it’s a totally different experience. I’m not going to lie, it’s been rough. I’ve become really strong because of it, I’ve become confident about who I am.”

Whether she prefers ‘Bonus Mom’ or ‘Stepmom’: “I like Bonus Mom, but I use ‘stepmom’ now. You know, when you first start being a stepmom, you just don’t know what to call yourself and what your role is and how to step into that. I think I’ve now become a little more chill about who I am and where I’m at and where I am in their lives. Stepmom, Bonus, whatever. They call me ‘Lee’ and that’s all that matters. They’re amazing.”

[From Access Hollywood]

If you watch the video (below), you’ll see her nearly tear up as she talks about how difficult her life has been. Like, she feels so bad for herself, she nearly started crying. As CB pointed out to me, LeAnn still vastly overestimates her own importance in the celebrity/music ecosystem. She still thinks that her homewrecking scandal was and is the biggest thing ever, and that she was so, so wronged. Delusion, thy name is Wewe.

Also: in this interview, her brows are CRAZY.

We had a really beautiful day in #deadwood IT WAS COLD ☃️ #happiness #lovers #todayischristmastour

Yes, there is a reason everything happens. Usually it’s that you’re ignorant and make bad choices.

    • Snowflake says:

      This^^
No one takes responsibility for their f@ckups anymore. Drives me crazy.

    • jane says:

don’t you just hate it when a homwrecking slob says such things as “it was written in the stars” ” it was part of Gods plan”,” it was meant to be”, “it was our destiny” and any other excuse they come up with. plain and simple. you are a selfish selfcentered idiot. no career, no kids and a husband that you can”t trust any further throw him

      • Dlo says:

Oh @jane, This! You nailed it

      • Funcakes says:

To bad for Leann, Ed has never made any of these statement
defending the epic love story since Emma and Mr.Darcy.

Instead this is playing out like an epic greek tradgey since Oedipus Rex.

      • anon33 says:

        Emma and Mr. Knightley.

      • LittleTiny says:

Yes and then to go on about how happy she is. It was meant to be and she is happy?! What about the other people involved or does fate only come into it when you’re getting your own way?

      • funcakes says:

        ANON33
        😄😄😄😄
        Thank you.
I have my Bronte characters mixed up.

      • tigerlily says:

Jane right on. Reminds me of an acquaintance who was whining that her stepchildren didn’t like her and she said You get along with your stepkids, how do u do it? I was very direct (almost rude I guess) and said Well, I didn’t meet Mr Tiger until AFTER he and wife #1 separated so the kids know I had nothing to do with them splitting up. LOL….she was nearly spitting up her beer and said Well our first marriages were over when we got together. I said Yeah but did u tell first spouses that before u shagged hubby #2?

  2. minx says:

I don’t really follow her much, but she did have talent and she has squandered it and wasted time with her douchey husband.

    • Charlie says:

Her voice is awful, cannot understand her words when she sings. WTH has she done to her voice? As far as losers, her and Eddie belong together, the must made fun of couple in CA.

  3. syd says:

When someone is reflective they are often learning/growing.
She took a hard road that caused lots of pain to others but she’s now been there for years and it really shouldn’t define her forever.
Speaking as a stepmom it *is* hard. Blended families have enormous struggles and it’s likely that her heart is speaking, not her ego.

    • Lady D says:

It shouldn’t define her forever, but she won’t shut up about it so……

    • puravidacostarica says:

As a narcissist, LeAnn can’t speak from the heart. Her ego drives her because her heart is an empty vessel. She mimics and single-white-females others because she has no authentic identity. She only knows how to manipulate and cry victim. She pulls the crying act whenever she thinks people are not buying her narrative.

      • Charlie says:

She pays for interviews, it’s always he same script. She is boring, no one buys her music, Eddie doesn’t have a job. Her victim days are over, too bad her Mother doesn’t set her down and tell her to shut up.

    • HappyMom says:

Um, she’s the one who won’t stop talking about it. There is a crazy high percentage of Hollywood marriages which end from infidelity and yet somehow those people DON’T talk about it, so it’s just not a thing. She has nothing else going on so it’s what she constantly discusses.

      • Christin says:

There are several country music singers who experienced sketchy beginnings, but I cannot recall any who made it a constant theme in interviews and songs.

Speaking of songs, she’s released lyrics to one of her songs. I genuinely thought it was a parody. It’s something about balls being cut off because the other party had none.

  4. stinky says:

the reason is: no class. none.

  5. Tate says:

Is she still yammering on about this? Yes Wewe we get it. You guys are the epic love story of all time. 🙄🙄🙄

    • Funcakes says:

The picture of Wewe and Ed posing has another story to it.
Earlier there’s another picture off snapchat of them wondering around then Leann pans over to Ed looking totally pissed. When he see Leann is filming him he smiles.
Also on her snapchat and Instagram Wewe occasionally like to do baby talk.
It’s very bizarre that a woman who is nearly 40 decides to try cutesy baby talk.
These snapchat sessions are doing her no favors

  6. QueenEllisabet says:

the reason was adultery, Wewe, not divine intervention

    • Shayne says:

Exactly right. To say that God meant for married Leann, & married, with very young children, Eddie, (who was at the time also juggling other side-pieces) to betray their vows & hook up on a tv movie set, and for Leann to relentlessly stalk Eddie after that, when he tried to return to his family, is beyond delusional. Temptations are put before everyone. It’s about doing the RIGHT thing. God was in no way involved in sanctioning this “epic love story”

  7. Blah says:

So just the same tired homewrecker victim tour then? Wash, rinse, repeat.

  8. WhatThe says:

She’s over. Done. Stick a fork in her.

  9. Lalu says:

I always get the feeling she’s trying to convince herself that she has done the right thing. I don’t like her but she had a beautiful voice. And she was young and stupid. I think she probably can’t figure out what happened to her life. I get the feeling Eddie is awful. Probably the worst thing for a woman that obviously struggles with her self esteem.

    • Funcakes says:

Noticed that Leann has been the only one defending this epic love story for the last seven years.
No one else has come forward to confirm how happy they are not even Eddie.
Leann over estimated the importance in Ed’s life. Eddie as two sons he adores while Leann obviously wants to be the “only one that matters” which is unrealistic.

Poor Leann has been promoting this epic love story while Ed proclaimed his marriage as merely “functional” during their show.

Leann went so far as ruling that “divorce is not an option ” while Ed might think the opposite.

Leann wants to be Ed’s everything.
      Never going to happen.

    • Charlie says:

Eddie is using her, she’s the dumb one. He ruined her music business, he doesn’t work, and the horrible plastic surgery makes her look 50. I don’t feel sorry for her, she has broken up her own life, friends, family, sues others, and you wait till Brandi’s kids out her when they are older.

  10. Deanne says:

She just can’t move on, can she? Is she trying to convince the public or herself? She came across as very unstable during that interview. She’s been crying during interviews, then claiming blissful happiness in the next breath, for the last 6 years. This album isn’t about love and light either. It’s spiteful just like Spitfire was, which is weird seeing as she’s claiming to be in such a great place. Of course there’s also the classy Dang dang, sure do like to bang bang included in the tracks, because she has to keep telling people how much sex she and Eduardo are having. It’s all so tired and old now. Her album totally bombed in the UK and I doubt it’ll be any different here. She’s over. Her career isn’t ever going to have a resurgence. She’s someone who peaked at 14, but whose ego can’t accept that the music world has moved on and she’s not even close to relevant any more. If anything, she was already long forgotten at the time of the affair debacle and it’s the only reason people think of her now. She puts on one hour shows, in small town hockey arenas and places like The Corn Palace. The crying and carrying on that’s going to feature in the promotion of this upcoming flop, aren’t going to change anything.

    • 90shasbeen says:

Everything she does is passive aggressive. No one cares about your fake love and sex life. I find the people who brag the most are usually living in hell. Body language for me speaks volumes and even in that posed picture; he’s not even close to her. Also, that interview was weird. Happy people do not act the way she does. She is miserable!

    • Lady D says:

” She’s been crying during interviews, then claiming blissful happiness in the next breath, for the last 6 years.” She has a pill problem.

      • Deanne says:

The constant dental procedures over the last 6 years have made me wonder if that’s really the case.

      • Charlie says:

Look the vein on her forward, her mouth droops, she sings sluggish, she sits on stage, her nose is huge, she’s doing something, and dragging Eddie around in a RV is such a joke with 3 band members.

My sis was at a casino when she performed, she sang 40 minutes, talked and talked, everything is a favorite with her, checked her phone and said her band members were dirty. Ewww.

      • funcakes says:

        @Charlie
She must have been on her A game.
No rolling around on the floor with her music sheet spread before her.

  11. Funcakes says:

Leann CD bombed hard in the UK.
The last two CD signing was a disaster.
I wonder if she’s even going back for her four day tour in February.
If she wanted her CD to succeed she who have tour two months ago and not stop.
By the time she returns to the UK people are going to be completely uninterested.

    • Christin says:

I have never understood her US ‘touring’ and certainly don’t understand the UK back and forth.

Then again, it’s amazing anyone hires or pays to see a performer with a history of no-shows and hour or less shows. So many talented singers would love to have her squandered opportunities.

  12. Chetta B. says:

Is falling apart beautiful? I didn’t know that. Wow.

  13. Rhiley says:

Brandi definitely had “Hot” Eddie. LeAnn has “Beer Gut” Eddie.

  14. 90shasbeen says:

The only person that keeps bringing up this affair is HER. No one cares anymore about her or that lame husband of hers. The funny part is she acts as if this was a EPIC love story when in fact he wanted to stay with Brandi and his children. When Brandi kicked him out, that is when he went to LeAnn. Facts!

  15. Jayna says:

Six years later? People have moved on. Why is she still picking up the pieces in interviews and albums? Her career has tanked not because of the affair, but because of her D-list behavior, that she spends her time trying to get in gossip rags and bikini photo-ops on the Daily Mail. She should have spent more time in Nashville and cultivating music relationships there and used some of the great songwriters from there, instead of LeAnn and Darrell writing. She’s so far gone that the album won’t sell. She’s not in the game anymore.

I thought she was now reconnected to classic country and found her way back and where she was going to keep taking her albums. That was the story she gave during her last album, when she was dissing the more pop country that is going on. The few songs I’ve heard from this new album aren’t classic country. The Love Live Love, or whatever it’s called, I heard a little bit of it, and it’s awful, to my ears. There’s probably a few good tracks on there, but not enough to sell when you are no longer relevant to the music scene. She needed a knockout album.

    • Deanne says:

I think that she needs to work with someone other than Darrell Brown. I know that they’re close friends, but with failure after failure, you’d think they’d both realize it’s not working. She says that commercial success means nothing but we all know that’s a lie.

      • puravidacostarica says:

It’s a proven lie when Darrell’s husband, Roger, rages about the fact that Darrell and LeAnn haven’t won any Grammys lately. Even if they don’t define “commercial success” by sales, they certainly define it by the accolades that they are no longer receiving from the music industry.

    • Charlie says:

Nashville doesn’t want her, she back stabbed the REAL stars. She might get a bar gig, but no big stage.

  16. Funcakes says:

Leann is trying to get people to feel sympathy for her because Brandi and Dean have a cooking competition show coming out next month.

Leann is obsessed that Brandi and Dean are going to spend the entire show bashing her.

Leann is forgetting there’s going to be six other competitors on this cooking competition show and there will be little or no time to concentrate on her.

Can you imagine thinking you’re so important that eight people are going to stray from the formula of a show to bash a person not associated with the it?

  17. Deanne says:

I just noticed that she used the hash tag #lovers on that terribly awkward photo. Dear lord, seriously? Eddie’s lower body is about a foot away from her. She has WAY too much to prove. It must be completely exhausting.

    • Funcakes says:

The problem is when Ed pose with all his costars he is relaxed and happy.
Then he pose with Wewe and its painfully obvious that Ed is extremely uncomfortable.

SM has noticed so Leann has been over doing the happy couple pictures.
Leann has been overdoing it on the my man, hubby, love bug hashtag.
Somehow the boys was on the set just to show that Ed is a happy family man with kids.
So stay away from my man in other words.
      Poor Wewe.
Ed being a family man never seem to bother her when she was carry on with him on the set of their movie.
The fact that Ed had BABIES never deterred her.
Now Leann show up on his set with one teenage and a pre teen, both which are not hers, in an attempt to show there love was meant to be.

      • Deanne says:

Why is she on set any way? Isn’t that frowned upon? This is his first permanent job in years, why would she embarrass him like that? Anyone who feels the need to follow their spouse to work on a daily basis is obviously insecure. Next she’ll pee in his trailer to mark her territory.

      • Funcakes says:

Not to mention she showed up on set after cancelling a show.
        This why Leann is over.
She’s blaming public opinion when in reality Leann has spent day one sacrificing everything just to follow Eddie.
She’s the one who canceled concerts, which her fans would travel hundred of miles to attend during hard earn vacation time, to take Ed to Cabo or the follow him to work.

Leann’s the one who made up fake illness only to be pictured the next day sun bathing with Ed on a beach or at his sons soccer games .

Leann’s the one how cared less when her fans on SM told her that there tickets were non refundable and there’s no way they can attend the make up date.
Leann’s the reason people refuse to pay hard earn money for an under one hour performance.
Leann is the one who bad mouth Carried Underwood in public saying she never paid her dues. Never bad mouth a fellow artist in public Wewe.

Leann also canceled concert while traveling with big named artist leaving them to cover for her.
She canceled on Kenny Cheney to pretend bumping into Ed at a basketball games. When he was suppose to be working thing out with his wife.

Now she wants pity. She did it to herself

      • Christin says:

Her father called her out years ago for finding men and shopping more important than interacting with fans and working hard.

  18. cakecakecake says:

I forgot about her but I see she’s still the same…insufferable.

  19. gwen says:

Settle down Leann, your crazy is still showing. Possession does not equal love. You merely serve a purpose.. for maybe another 3 years.

  20. puravidacostarica says:

In the photo, Ed looks like he’s smiling because he’s thinking about picking her up and throwing her over the edge.

  21. april says:

My ex-boyfriend (we broke up a year ago) had just come out of a 17-year relationship with his live-In girlfriend when I met him. She took off with another guy. No one blamed the “other” guy, they all blamed her. His name and reputation were totally unscathed. I don’t get how guys aren’t ever blamed when a woman runs off with another man. Any man that cheats on me I blame him 100%. He was the one who consciously chose to cheat on me. I don’t blame the “other” woman because if it wasn’t her it would be some other woman.

    • Blah says:

In Leann’s case, she cheated on her own husband with a married man. They are both to blame. Both horrible people with no morals. It’s just that Leann is the one who has spread this all over twitter and in every single interview from day one. So she’s the one getting the “attention” for it. By the way, God will never bring someone a “soulmate” that is married to someone else!!

  22. attackofthekb says:

I was trying to read this story and find my own take on it but I can’t do that now because I’m trying to figure out when grown women decided calling another grown adult “Wewe” was a good idea. Christ on fire. Can we not talk about how awful she is without resorting to names that I’ve heard kindergartners use on the playground?

    • jane says:

WeWe came from leann herself when she had a twitter acct acct that she called “wewe in love” considering that she was still married to Dean at the time< I think it's only right to call her wewe

      • Blah says:

I think I remember her posting a pic or an ornament or something that had wewe one it, plus that old twitter name. Hence, the origin of “wewe”

    • Tarsha says:

Leann created (and was caught by her ex-husband Dean and publicly outed it) a sock twitter account called Weweinlove – Google and you will find Dean’s tweet referencing it. That is where the name comes from. It was Leann’s own twitter account name.

    • Kitty says:

Like others have said, it came directly from LeAnn.

And the only other story that made it around about the nickname that hasn’t been shared. Is that Brandi’s youngest son couldn’t pronounce “Le”…. so it sounded like “We.”

So to put it all into disgusting perspective.

LeAnn’s fake Twitter account, Wewenlove, harassed Brandi… using the name that her son, Jake, called LeAnn.

AND… among the first comments was boasting about her one year anniversary. When everyone was still married. So Wewe was putting a date on it to rub in everyone’s face.

Which as noted by, Tarsha, Dean figured out and replied to Wewenlove about the anniversary boast.

      • Christin says:

Wow. I had heard about Dean calling out the account, but not the rest.

I started paying attention 2 -3 years after the affair. They were still smug looking then, but not so much now. Both EC and LR look spent these days. Reaping what’s been sown, it seems.

      • Kitty says:

The Dean part is bad enough. Imagine finding that as an ex? But yeah, that account was several layers of awful all rolled into one.

I was late to the drama too. When LeAnn first started hitting the gossip mags for the affair. I passed on those stories. She’s always been a snot… lol… so it wasn’t news.

But Celebitchy and the comment section is where I caught up.

I completely agree, they are reaping what they’ve sown. They looked so much more fresh faced, and yes, smug, when they first met. It’s hard to believe that seven years has taken so much out of them.

  23. WhatThe says:

One other comment. When I hear Leann sing now, there’s been no growth in her voice in years. It’s boring. I listen to someone like Sarah Barielles, or Celine, and the notes they can hit are thrilling. They try different styles. Singing is like any skill. You are born with an initial talent (usually), but if you don’t practice and grow, that talent stagnates. Anyone elite at anything constantly strives to improve. Practice, practice, practice. If she had had some skillful training, it might have been truly amazing.

    • Christin says:

When I hear her older songs, I can barely tell it’s her. Her younger voice was smoother and more pleasant. Now it’s just vocal acrobatic attempts and very poor enunciation. Plus, the lyrics to her newer songs seem like they were written by a bratty 10-year-old. It’s regression versus progression in many ways.

  24. Sway says:

She also clapped to her own lyrics.

  25. Jess says:

That is such freaking BS, they hurt so many people and she wants to have us believe it was just meant to be? Like they have some amazing love story, um no sweetie, your husband wanted to stay with his wife but you did everything possible to make sure he didn’t, and you helped rip a family apart. Im sure Eddie feeds her this ridiculous crap too, he wants her to keep the cash flow going, she’s “the only one that matters”.

    • Jane says:

THIS^…Of course she is indicating that her “Path” is to torture and ruin two lives and this crazy woman is wearing it like a badge of honor-not to mention crying her eyes out because of all the wrongs done to her.

2 FYIs here, folks. I am the “other Jane” I’m the old snarky one who posts on Leann stories when they ever show up here. (not that it really matters, but let’s separate the two Jane’s here.)

Second, OK magazine and Star have two huge write-ups on Leann. They are talking about how unhinged and jealous Leann is of Eddie’s costar, not to mention all the SWFing she is doing to Eddie’s costar on Rosewood (Pictures and all)

  26. Thetruthhurts says:

She thinks so much of herself doesn’t she? LOL! Crying when she hears the words to her own song lyrics. LOL! 😭🖕🏼

  27. why not says:

I’m sure Eddie gets Deadwood when he’s around Falcor.

  28. Christin says:

I just watched the interview clip, and here are a couple of observations.

First, she sounds more mature and better spoken in the brief 2001 clip (at 19?). Most people are opposite – sounding more mature and coherent with age. Based on a comment near the end, it’s even as if she considers “that” person different than her present self.

One thing she said was about assuming everything (her fame/fortune?) would last. Maybe she does realize it was a brief, fortunate chapter not likely to be repeated. Yet I still don’t understand why she doesn’t get serious about trying to put together a non-victim, non-affair song and work hard at gaining back some goodwill.

    • Jane says:

Leann has been in full blown denial for her whole life. Unfortunately she need to completely lose everything (including her money, house, Eddie and the boys) to start to realize the significance of her terrible situation. She is unhinged and refuses to cope with the situation. I believe that everyone in her camp is a full-blown enabler. She needs a blooming intervention where literally everyone turns their back on her to realize the serious damage she has caused. She needs TV and all media from the US and the UK to refuse to deal with her and maybe…and I mean ,maybe she will realize she has flipping alienated much of the entertainment industry, Until then that is only as pipe dream. She’ll continue with her ridiculous antics and want to be the “America’s Sweetheart” she wants to continue to be . (Of course this is in her demented mind)

      • Christin says:

Completely agree about enablers. Dean and her father seemed the only two who could keep her halfway focused.

Her current reality seems centered on Eddie. Even if she can hold it together financially (keeping him in the zip code he likes), once the boys are older and his parents aren’t around as buffer, it will be interesting to see what happens. She’s placed her eggs in one basket, and it’s a weak one (IMO).

      • Jane says:

@Christin: Spot on…and look where it got the both of them. She sued her father and cheated on and divorced Dean. So much for respecting people trying to keep her in line, somewhat focused, and actually making money. She had better venues and more jobs when she was with them.
