Us Weekly: Beyonce is sneaking into LA SoulCycle classes ‘almost every day’

2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Graydon Carter

Here are some photos of Beyonce and Blue Ivy at the Beauty and the Beast premiere more than a week ago. I just never got around to posting these photos! Bey and Blue wore matchy Gucci dresses, and Blue Ivy’s dress reportedly cost $2100. Which is crazy for a kid’s dress, but hey, Blue Ivy is a little princess. I say that with love! I still think Blue was the best part of the Grammys. That kid’s got so much personality.

Anyway, what would you do if a very pregnant Beyonce was suddenly beside you at the gym, sweating it out at SoulCycle? Would you freak? I would freak.

Ladies, get in formation! On your SoulCycle bikes, that is! Beyoncé may be pregnant with twins, but she isn’t slacking off on her workouts. Sources tell Us Weekly that Queen B has been attending the cult-favorite spinning class at studios all over Los Angeles. “She’s been taking a class almost every day,” an insider tells Us.

Beyoncé is almost always accompanied by her husband, Jay Z (how sweet!), but a fellow classmate also saw the 20-time Grammy winner in an evening class at the West Hollywood studio on March 8 with BFF and former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland by her side. (Also spotted in the same star-studded class: Usher, Lee Daniels and Jenna Dewan Tatum!)

Onlookers tell Us that while Beyoncé and Jay Z often sneak into classes after the lights go down and leave early, they’re still spotted in classes “several times a week.”

And Beyoncé’s favorite teacher is a VIP herself: The Lemonade singer has been seen frequenting classes led by Angela Davis, who impressed Oprah so much that the former talk-show host took the instructor along on her The Life You Want tour to teach SoulCycle classes on the road.

My first thought was… Beyonce had to cancel on Coachella, citing her pregnancy, but she’s cleared to do SoulCycle five times a week? Hm. Granted, her performances are more high-energy than SoulCycle, but she figured out a way to perform and stay safe at the Grammys. It’s probably more like… Beyonce didn’t want to perform at Coachella so close to her due date, and right now she’s just trying to get in whatever exercise she can. Also: it’s adorable that Jay-Z comes with her. I wonder if she’s also doing prenatal yoga? Lamaze classes?

PS… Beyonce’s fans think she’s pregnant with twin boys now. There’s a lot of Illuminati conspiracy theorizing going on.

Adorable mummy daughter pic! I love that shade of green.

  2. QQ says:

Are we shading a Pregnant woman for doing Cardio ( discreetly enough so as to do it when the lights go down ffs!?) but also not having the same energy to put on a show where she hangs upside down/squats and twerks while pregnant with TWO children??

    • Loopy says:

      LOL,what you said.

      • QQ says:

I meannnn.. there is no Winning in the game of Womanhood Especially not for this one… First there is a Pillow pregnancy, then she is doing the most showing us her entire belly in a variety of angles, then she has to release older pics of her pregnancy to “prove she was” then we bag on “lazy moms that just lay back” but if they work out through pregnancy we intimate is both vanity and Might kill the baby on some concern troll tip, If she loses the weight fast it’s unattainable goal but if she doesn’t then she is lazy (see Aishwara Rai debacle) Don’t let her wanna get back to work cause she feels fulfilled there and also doesn’t want to be lump on the “lazy at home collecting a check” mom narratives it’s then “Why Have kids if you don’t wanna be with your baby 24/7, but then Eva does and she is a bad Partner FFS you guys even if I liked kids, these are b*llshit impossible standards that would make the bravest among us just say “F*ck it let me eject myself of the planet!” where does the rubber meet the road with these coded insinuations about women’s fitness as women… women that love two things at once ( Their work/getting money and also their kids)

    • Miss Grace Jones says:

Right. I see nothing wrong here.

    • Jaded says:

Maybe B backed our bc she couldn’t put on an incredible show that she is always known for. That woman does not know how to half ass anything. Queen.

      • tegteg says:

True. Plus, soul cycle seems relatively “safe” for a pregnant woman in that you’re body is stationary, it’s just your legs that are moving. When she performed at the Grammy’s, the chair-tipping bit made me VERY nervous for her.

      • lol says:

I agree. It could be dangerous.

    • Victoria says:

Thank you! I’m currently 6 months, and will be damned if anyone shades me for what I’m able/unable to do. Leave her alone, she’s pregnant for goodness sakes!

      • Nike says:

I’m four months, and working at a very busy Starbucks…

I had to cut my shifts last week, because I can’t do what I did before; I didn’t think it would be this hard, and certainly not this soon. I, like many of my coworkers, never considered all that might be going on with a pregnancy, aside from morning sickness, and baby bumps: cramps – leg, back, and abdominal, migraines, hormonal acne, morning sickness (that’s really all-DAY sickness), foot pain, exhaustion, ect.

The thing I’ve noticed about my pregnancy, is that I don’t get to choose when, and how much I can do… I just have to do what I can, and stop when I know it’s too much.

I can’t imagine promising the kind of show Beyonce puts on, in this condition. So what, if she goes to the gym? She can stop and rest when she needs to, and that’s the point. She couldn’t do that on stage at a Festival.

    • chloeee says:

Seriously! Plus Indio gets so f****kn hot. no blame here whatsoever. I don’t even wanna go and I’m not pregnant.

  3. Loopy says:

Well Coachella is like a month away,i am sure she would not be able to perform by then.

  4. HappyMom says:

Sort of off topic-but good god-those Soul Cycle classes are expensive. In DC they’re $33 per class!

    • What says:

      That’s expensive???

      • Miss Grace Jones says:

Not everyone can afford an extra 33 dollars a month. So yeah.

      • Kristen says:

        Uh, yeah. That’s expensive.

      • Loopy says:

well clearly it is to her.

      • Jaded says:

Damn, $33 a class is hefty

      • Jeesie says:

It’s almost $400 a month even if you only go 3 days a week, and about $1000 if you go daily, so yeah, that’s expensive.

I can’t imagine spending that much to ride a stationary bike (or rather, to have someone tell you how fast to go while you ride a stationary bike). I spend significantly less on my platinum level gym membership, yoga classes, Pilates classes, multiple dance classes and physio each month.

      • HappyMom says:

If you go multiple times a week, hell yes $33 PER class is steep!

    • tealily says:

      That’s expensive.

    • lol says:

I think Soul cycle is “using” her name… I don’t believe this story.

      • polonoscopy says:

        YES IT’S EXPENSIVE

To put it in perspective. My entire gym membership is $33 (Canadian) for a month – and I have one of those memberships where I can go to any associated gym in the country, enjoy spin and yoga and TRX classes inclusive to my membership and there are steam rooms and saunas and shit. $33 dollars American for ONE spin class? Fuck off.

  5. Merritt says:

In most cases a pregnant woman should be able to do close to her previous workout routine. If a woman already exercises regularly prior to pregnancy then it is usually fine during pregnancy. I could see Coachella presenting additional problems and why she had to back out.

  6. Luca76 says:

I dunno It’s not a cardio thing but I think that much leg excercise would be difficult on a pregnant woman because the low back and leg muscles are already getting constricted to make room for the kids. But Beyoncé is a super human being right(I don’t believe that but that’s the general consensus).

  7. Kat says:

Good for her for getting some cardio in! I did spin classes 4-5 times a week during my last pregnancy until I was 32 weeks. Mind you, I was only carrying one kidlet in there, but it saved my sanity and kept me strong physically and mentally. If she feels up to the classes, keep going Bey! If you’re pregnant and just wanna lay down, do that too!

  8. my3cents says:

Holy crap- she’s doing more exercise than me, and I have no excuse, not pregnant…envy !

  9. courtney says:

yeah so good for her she’s able to exercise while heavily pregnant with twins that ain’t easy hopefully her labor and delivery are easy when the time comes

  10. Mar says:

Blue is so cute with so much personality.

  11. Radley says:

This just sounds fake to me. Beyonce manages her PR and her image very well. It’s what she wants out there. She’s probably really on the couch mostly and exercise is probably walks around her estate, and that’s fine. She’s having twins, ffs. This article paints a cute pic of mom to be, devoted hubby and fab friends. I doubt it’s true though. It’s more of maintaining a certain image while she gestates. Not mad at it. Just don’t buy it.

  12. Cheryl says:

It’s really hard to sing when very pregnant. I remember watching Natalie Maines (?) the lead singer from the Dixie Chicks singing at the Grammys while VERY pregnant, and she just was struggling- it changes how you can sustain notes, etc.

  13. carol says:

I mean, if she is pregnant with twins, she really should be taking it easy. There is definitely conflicting data about exercise and pregnancy (I’m in medical school btw so don’t harass me) exercising helps you bounce back better but if you are too strenuous it might decrease oxygen supply to the fetus (or fetuses in Bey’s case).

besides she is twinning so her exercise capacity is way more limited.

  14. Lucy2 says:

I thought they announced it is twin boys?
