As I’m sure everyone knows by now, Kate Hudson has a new boyfriend. She and her new guy have been strolling around (in front of the paps) for weeks. The guy is named Danny Fujikawa, which is a great name actually. You can see him in these pics – he’s super-tall and he’s handsome in a hipster way. Well, guess what Danny does for a living? He’s a brain surgeon! No, he’s an engineer! No, of course he’s in a band. Kate Hudson almost always goes for a guy in a band. According to Us Weekly, she’s really into him. Pregnant by Christmas, I bet.
Kate Hudson has found herself a keeper! A source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that the 37-year-old’s new man, musician Danny Fujikawa, is “super cool” and “one of the sweetest dudes ever.”
The Deepwater Horizon actress seems smitten already. On March 25, she and Fujikawa, the founder of Lightwave Records and previously a singer-guitarist for the L.A.-based band Chief, made out on a New York City street, six days after they kissed at L.A.’s Cafe Vida.
“Kate grabbed him and wrapped her arms around him,” an eyewitness told Us at the time. “They were kissing and not shy about it at all. She was really flirty.” The duo also recently dined at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.
The onetime Oscar nominee is drawn to artistic people, explains a Hudson source. “She likes those musician boys,” says the friend. “She’s a creative girl, so being with someone else creative is good for her.”
No, it’s not just “he’s creative.” There are a lot of creative people, from painters to sculptors to writers to artisans. She goes for a very specific type: dudes in bands. Dudes who sing. Dudes who play an instrument. There’s nothing wrong with that, and if that’s what gets her off, God bless. But as a Kate Apologist – and I honestly sort of like her – I sometimes wish she would change it up a bit. Why not date a brain surgeon or an engineer or something?
Also: I’m sort of wondering if she’s being so public with her new relationship as a way to tamp down those tabloid rumors that she was banging Brad Pitt.

I don’t think she started them any more then I think Jolie started those rumors about her and Leto or Depp. But she and her brother sure did milk it for attention with that Ig post.
I think the tabs are just matching up single celebs that they think make sense together and hoping people buy into it.

She started the rumors and now she is looking to change the story. Seems Brad may not be the catch everyone thought. Baggage and selfish.
At the very least, she fed the flames of the rumors since she/her brother were joking about Kate and Brad dating on Instagram.

Well, I was actually wondering if she’s being so public because of her custody battle. I don’t know if it’s true but Lainey wrote that her Instagram is now all about Fablethics, fitness, family and baby showers, when, a few weeks ago it was more “party-themed” . A committed relationship with an age-appropriate man could be part of the image she wants to give right now.
From what I read, Chris Robinson requested that the original child custody arrangement be “revisited”. Kate, Chris, and their son are all going for agreed upon evaluations, which, interestingly, include access to wellness and mental health records for all three. Kate agreed to pay for the evaluations. At the conclusion, there will be a decision made as to where her oldest son will primarily reside.
I’m an attorney and this is all par for the course. A change in custody agreement could be for financial reasons only. She probably significantly outwards him so he could be asking for more child support for example. They request all that other stuff just as a matter of practice.

Change in custody agreement is normal. However, wasn’t there something about Chris trying to do it privately and not getting much response from Kate?
I used to listen to Chief back in my high school years. Never could tell the brothers apart but there was one brother that I found hot but don’t think he was ever in the band but saw photos of him on cobrasnake (remember that??).
Anyway, this dude is not hot and does not look that tall to me.
I’m not a big fan of Kate Hudson. I find her a bit obnoxious, in a Gweneth Paltrow knockoff kind of way & her taste in men is so predictable.
You’re not alone. There’s just something about her that rubs me the wrong way, can’t explain it. I do think her relevancy would have dropped off years ago if not for Goldie & Kurt being her parents (I know Kurt isn’t her “real” dad, but he raised her). She’s definitely gotten way more mileage from that than from her actual talent (which seems pretty limited).
But she is so creative
I also lost a lot of respect for her with her scammy Fabletics racket.
It’s not entirely musicians; don’t forget A-Rod. Maybe he’s the exception that proves the rule.

Why would a surgeon or an engineer date Kate Hudson?
I’m an engineer and I wouldn’t date the male version of Kate Hudson. What would we do or talk about?
Being brilliant in one area doesn’t automatically take away someone’s vanity and other bad traits. Where I live, there is a socialite, whose rich daddy tries to buy her a musical career, even though she is tone deaf and she seems much dumber than Kate, but she is in a long-term relationship and has a daughter with one of the most brilliant surgeons in the world. He is a professor, who performed the first succesful face transplant in our country and the first succesful transplant of many neck organs (throat, trachea, larynx, thyroid glands, and muscles, all in one surgery) in the entire world! He’s only 44 years old and not ugly – she is painfully skinny, has giant fake lips and I automatically feel dumber when I hear her speak publicly, but they seem happy together.
‘Musician’? Lol please- he hasn’t been in a band or had any musical output to speak of for years. He’s found himself a celeb sugarmama (tho he was a Hollywood rich kid so doesn’t really need it) & Kate has absolutely found herself babydaddy #3. Best of luck to them- she’s a grade A narcissist & he’s a willing victim. That’s La La land for ya.
As for Brad Pitt, that was completely made up, but likely encouraged by her PR team. Howard Stern talked about Brad right when his divorce was announced & asked if she would date him & she said ‘sure’. Voila, a whole gossip storyline is born.
But the band guys NEVER work out for long.
I realized I had a type when I was young and that never worked so I went to the opposite kinda got and we are married and are compatible… what excites you temporarily doesn’t necessarily lead to good fit!!!

I know. Describing him as “super tall” doesn’t make any sense. Kate’s like 5’6″ and when they’re walking close together, he’s just a bit taller than her but not in a extreme way. Alexander Skarsgard he ain’t!

Every time I see Kate with a new guy, I always wonder: “Where are her children??”

I don’t care how many guys she’s slept with but at least switch up your type Kate?! Ok you got a thing for guys in music well find a producer, song writer not just some guy in a band they never work out for you.
We all have types and there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes I don’t think it’s even a conscious choice, like we attract certain types of people, at least for serious relationships, despite wanting to date otherwise. Like myself, I have an interest in artistic creatives, but haven’t been able to make it beyond the casual dating stage with them.
Kate, you need to try to hook your girl Dakota Johnson up with Scott Eastwood they would be perfect together. Keep being beautiful. 👌
