Orlando Bloom & Nina Dobrev are ‘more than friends’ but ‘it’s super casual’

'The Promise' - Hollywood Premiere

Last week, Nina Dobrev and Orlando Bloom both attended the premiere of The Promise in LA. I didn’t think much of it, because the premiere was SO weird anyway, what with Kim Kardashian and Cher both attending and posing together. I was focused on Kim and Cher and the lack of Oscar Isaac on the carpet, so it didn’t even register that Bloom and Dobrev were on the carpet too. To be fair, they did not walk the carpet together. Well, now it seems like that premiere was maybe/probably a date night. According to People Magazine, they’ve been “hanging out romantically recently” and they were both at Coachella this weekend.

Nina Dobrev and Orlando Bloom are out of the friendzone. A source tells PEOPLE that the two good-looking singletons have been hanging out romantically recently.

“They’ve known each other for a while. Recently they’ve been hanging out as more than friends. It’s super casual,” the source said. However, the source added that Bloom was spotted attending a Coachella party on Friday with a woman who was not Dobrev. (The Vampire Diaries star is at the festival, but not with Bloom.)

Reps for Dobrev and Bloom did not respond to requests for comment.

This is as random to me as that time Orlando ended up with Selena Gomez in 2014, although looking back on it… that was Orlando’s attempt to “get back” at Justin Bieber, which is really, really sad. I don’t think dating Nina is an attempt to get back at anyone though? I mean, maybe he’s trying to show Katy Perry that he’s moving on. But that’s only if you believe – as I believe – that Katy finally came to her senses and dumped Orlando because she never really was into him that much in the first place. That being said, I don’t think Nina is, like, a Revenge Girlfriend. He probably really likes her. And he probably really likes that he gets to leak it to People Magazine that they’re romantically involved.

He seems to be going for that “super young” look if that makes sense (Miranda, Selena, and now Nina). I feel like that actress who plays Haley Dunphy on Modern Family would be his type too. Katy Perry was against that type, in a good way.

So basically they’re fwb while milking it for some attention?

I think he was probably cheating on Katy and that’s why they broke up. First, there was the sketchiness with Selena while they were dating (pictures with her hanging all over him). Then there seemed to be some overlap for him and some daughter of someone when they suddenly broke up. All that to say I don’t think he would be trying to get back at Katy because I don’t think there is any confusion as to that door being open still.

Selena, Miranda, and Nina look very similar to me.

I think Lainey? wrote in one of her blinds that he’s into booze or drugs and that was the problem

I never believed the gossip regarding Orlando and Selena. Seems like a PR move for Selena, to get back at Justin. Hasn’t she been in multiple fake relationships before? Orlando never seemed like he is chasing fame. He has been around a long time. To me, he always seemed to want to avoid it but has always been with someone who loved it (Miranda) or someone so famous that he couldn’t avoid it (Katy). Nina doesn’t have the young girl look I don’t think, so it seems fine to me.

    Do better Nina!

    He screams sleazy.

I love Nina and I absolutely love her style! Always put together.

I feel like Orlando Bloom is really immature. I know that people enjoyed the feud with Justin Bieber, and I get why, but I really felt like he is way too old for that kind of nonsense. I also think he’s also too old to be dating people the age of Selena Gomez and Nina Dobrev. He’s 40, for goodness’ sake.
