Kim Zolciak poses for a pic next to two of her kids sleeping in hospital beds

Wow, Kim Zolciak is not having a good week. First she had to defend herself against a dog-shamer and animal control and now she’s got two kids in the hospital. Fortunately, her children’s surgeries proved an excellent opportunity to post a photo to her Instagram. On Tuesday, Kim graced us with this shot:

Apparently both Kash and Brielle needed to have their tonsils and adenoids out and were able to share a room for recovery, which is nice. I find it odd that two of her kids needed their tonsils out at the same time. I am not suggesting anything, I just find that odd.

Anyway, the kids were back on the mend enough to get a second photo in, this time much more presentable and conscious of having their photos plastered across social media:

I love that my kids all love each other like they do! 😍😍 I LOVE MY FAMILY

Tonsillectomies don’t require much of a hospital stay, do they? The kids would be home by now, right? Maybe they just really liked the food because we can see they didn’t stay for the privacy.

Kash, the poor guy, is back in the hospital for the second time in five months. Earlier this year he required surgery stemming from a dog bite. The bite was severe enough that he needed plastic surgery. Fortunately Kash healed well enough hat he did not require additional surgeries. In appreciation of that fact, Kim posted this:

🙌🏼 Just left Dr Williams office (said I wasn't going to post but I just have too) I'm feeling so blessed. 😍 He is Kash's plastic surgeon! He performed the surgery the night Kash was bit! He said, "He is pleased with his progress and he doesn't feel he will need additional surgeries" THANK YOU GOD and Thank you Dr Williams for your magical hands. Kash's face was broken and had to be pieced literally back together and due to all the swelling/trauma you don't know for several weeks if more surgery is needed in order to align the face. Well we just got the news we were hoping for! 🙏🏼This is nothing short of a divine intervention. Thank you for all your prayers you have no idea how much they truly helped! Upwards and Onwards 💋

I’m glad Kash didn’t need additional surgeries and it sounds like a scary incident all around. But I include that pic because of the caption, “I said I wasn’t going to post but I just have to.” As if Kim would ever have the self-control to not publicize her life. Remember when she swore she wouldn’t post any more pics of her pets? That lasted less than 24 hours.

And Kroy is able to hang out in the recovery room with them because he’s still an unsigned free-agent with the NFL. Kroy said that’s fine by him, he’s happy to be a stay-at-home dad. And Kim couldn’t be happier with that idea, because she thinks Kroy is, “a super big help,” and, “he can do anything.” So she’s just thrilled with the idea of Kroy home all the time. I mean, she’s still actively floating it out there that he loves football and really, how HAPPY he would be playing, but no, she’d LOVE for him to be home… all the time… together… every minute.

I’d give it four months.

I feel like the wig game is a little bit better, but her boobs look ridiculous in the blue dress.

    • V4Real says:

In the pic with the blue jean jumper she looks like a washed up country singer named Bobbi Jean trying to make a comeback in a Lifetme movie.

      • Kitten says:

        LOL
        …accurate.

I don’t know why these women insist on having SO much filler put in the bottom half of their faces. It looks SO odd and has the effect of making them look masculine, for lack of a better term. Her eyes look so small and her entire face is unbalanced with all that stuff injected SMDH.

      • Pandy says:

Love it! I was getting truck stop “companion” vibes lol. That purse put the outfit over the edge.

    • GingerCrunch says:

I am feeling MUCH better about my wonky, reconstructed boobs today. YaY!

      • SolitaryAngel says:

@Gingercrunch: Girl, I’m sure your bewbs look fine! Don’t be down on yourself, ok? We women understand that gravity, like karma, will get us *all* in the end, so as long as you’re not tucking them into your waistband be PROUD!! :p

I don’t know why, but your name makes me want ice cream! Lol

  2. Karen says:

Could she take a photo they could remember it by without posting to social media? A pic that didn’t include her, in a gown?

I’m assuming the kids kept giving bad strep back and forth to each other and dr said enough.

    • Alix says:

And what kid wants to look back fondly at pix of them sleeping in hospital beds?

I think this woman would take a selfie during a wake, right next to the open casket. Memories!

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

The little guy must have had a LOT of strep because doctors try not to remove lymph tissue if they don’t have to. The older gal could have had chronic/cryptic tonsillitis. My oldest had hers out for this reason at 18, and I did at 24.

My sons had adenoidectomy because of chronic sinusitis, and my daughter’s bestie had T&A due to obstructive sleep apnea (and she is about 5’7-8 and about 120-125#). Lots of reasons to have these surgeries. I have twins and they have had surgery at the same time twice- PE tubes at three, and adenoidectomy at 12 or 13. So not really so odd if you think about it.

  3. Seraphina says:

Completely tasteless. And the poor children look like they have no clue what’s going on. It would be one thing if they were cognizant and cooperating, I would not be as harsh. They are in our care and need many things. One is protection. This is not protecting her children. What a complete waste of the term
    Mother on this femail.

I post silly things my kids say and do but I never, ever have posted a pic or comment about their health issues. That crosses a sacred boundary. Maybe it’s just me.

    • Alix says:

No, Seraphina, it’s just good parenting! Countless celebs and others could take a page out of your book.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

I hear you, so what do you think of all the post wisdom tooth extraction/ dental anesthesia videos parents post of their kids on youtube? I’m not a Kim apologist- I think she is a crass dimwit, the queen of the red solo cups-but I would have to assume she would have taken it down if her daughter protested. They are all just so fame wh0rey that I think it doesn’t bother them in the least.

  4. RBC says:

So…is Kim wearing a denim jumpsuit or is that blue body paint ? She could be Mystique from
Xmen with a wig and after having plastic surgery done by Wolverine.
All these “happy family” photos are just gearing up for a potential “marriage problems” storyline since Kim is back on Real Housewives of Atlanta

  5. Maria says:

CRINGE. She’s so desperate that it hurts.

  6. Jess says:

Please, the pictures and posts from the hospital bed need to stop. I work in urgent care and everyday I see parents too busy taking pictures then posting comments to even notice their kid is miserable and in pain. A sick child is not an opportunity to get attention online, even asking for prayer requests takes away your attention, lol.

Anyway, I can see multiple kids needing tonsils and adenoids out, we see lots of siblings get sick at the same time with things like strep or tonsillitis. Why not do them both at once!

    • Crimson says:

@Jess: I agree with you. Taking a photo of a loved one in the hospital (child OR adult) is the height of inconsideration. Posting it to social media = indescribably poor taste. I bet those same “photographers” would just looooove having their photo snapped when they’re lying in a hospital bed!

  7. smcollins says:

I used to work with a young lady who actually posted hospital photos on Facebook of her FIL on his death bed. There were actually some shots of the family gathered around him, smiling (he was unconscious, because like I said…death bed). I guess I understand having those photos for themselves (sort of…not really) but posting them on FB?! Who wants to see that? It just came up in my newsfeed, unavoidable. Poor, poor taste. I unfollowed her after that. Some people just don’t know where to draw the line.

    • poorlittlerichgirl says:

My Papa (grandpa) passed away in March and was in hospice for some time before he died. I didn’t visit him hospice b/c he was not lucid enough to realize I was there and honestly, I couldn’t take seeing him in that state.
I’m innocently scrolling my facebook feed one day and I see my cousin kissing my Papa on the forehead on his death bed. I slammed my computer shut but it was too late. I will never get that image out of my head. It really shook me up. My cousin had every right to take the photo but why did she have to post it on social media for the people who know and love him to see? She could’ve have printed out an 8X10 and hung one in every room of her house if she wanted to but there was no reason in the world for her to post that photo on social media. Other than for good old fashion attention seeking.

      • smcollins says:

Poorlittlerichgirl, I’m so sorry that happened to you. The images I saw were pretty disturbing to me, and I didn’t even know the man. I can only imagine how it would feel seeing something like that of an actual family member/loved one. *hugs*

    • onTheFence says:

I see really personal posts all the time, of sickness, death, etc. I guess it’s the new way of “reaching out for support”, but it’s sadly hollow and narcissistic

    • poorlittlerichgirl says:

@smcollins Thank you so much! I truly appreciate that.

  8. Lynnie says:

All I have to say about this that I thought her daughter had eased up on the lip fillers in the 2nd pic, but one look at her insta says otherwise. Soon there’ll be a lot of mid-20somethings (both “famous and not”) with mannequin faces. Gonna laugh when it all goes out of style tbh lol.

  9. Patricia says:

I’m always happy when I see kids get the tonsils out because doing it as an adult is a living hell. Once they go bad there’s very little if any chance they will function well again so might as well say sionara as soon as possible.

If anyone tried to take a picture of me in recovery like this I would have punched them. I don’t post pictures of my children when they are ill, unhappy, undressed, on the freakin toilet etc. Parents only pull that crap for attention and it’s disgusting. My children’s dignity is far more important than a few likes!

  10. JC says:

Gawd she runs a dysfunctional outfit. Adorable kids. I had hoped Kroy would bring some sanity…

  11. lower case lois says:

I feel about Kim Zolciak and her hubby the way I feel about the Kardashians ,to please go away. Why is this woman still relevant and why are people interested in her tv show?

  12. PMNichols says:

I’m embarrassed for her because she felt compelled not only to exploite her children but pose in the middle of the recovery room. Country Barbie needs to go.

  13. Incognita says:

Wow. I’ve just had the sudden realization that my mother is a near clone of this woman, social media-wise: same big blocks of text, oversharing, and cringe worthy signoff “catch phrase” habit.

Except my mother has far worse fashion sense and spends more time in a tanning bed. Holy god, someone save me from this waking nightmare.

  14. freewhitebaby7.0 says:

Somebody needs to do Kim a favor and inform her that they put clothes sizes in the collar. That might stop her from buying her jumpers, etc 3 sizes too small.

  15. Margo S. says:

My brother and I had our tonsils taken out at the same time. I also had my adnoids (spelling?!) out as well. I think so the parents don’t have to take double the time off work, they help them out by operating on the kids at the same time…?

  16. Lalu says:

She spends time and money to look like that?
I just think she is disgusting and clueless.

  17. Nacho_friend says:

I liked her old face better circa 2015

  18. meh says:

Every time I see the name “Kroy”, I think it must be a mistake. KROY? FOR REAL?

  19. blonde555 says:

Nothing like having your full weaves, packed on face makeup and waist photoshoppin at the hospital! Yep normal day.

  20. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

Too many levels of wrong. SMH

  21. LaBlah says:

I have no idea who this lot are, but she has had a lot of painfully obvious ridiculous plastic surgery and her husband name is Kroy. That’s all I need to know to know I don’t want to know anymore.
