In probably the worst kept secret in television, VH-1 has announced that a third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is coming in 2018. The fiercest reality competition on television brings back some of Drag Race’s most memorable queens to fight it out in musical, choreography and (the always-dreaded) sewing challenges. The next queen to wear the All Star crown will join drag royalty Chad Michaels and Alaska in the winner’s circle.
When announcing the show’s return in an interview with Variety, Emmy winner RuPaul (I love writing that) said “The world is calling out to see more of these beautiful queens and I am going to give them every bit of it they can handle. All Stars represent the best of the breasts, legs, and thighs. They are giving everything and you’re not going to want to miss it!” Truer words have never been spoken, Ru.
Drag Race executive producer Randy Barbato shed some light on the selection process for the show, stating that the queens are selected because of “talent that we think wasn’t fully recognized during their previous season, talent that we think have demonstrated improvement – there’s a variety of things we look at when we’re putting together the cast.” He proudly added “What makes ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ so unique from so many other competition shows is that there is this cornucopia of incredible talent, so we have this amazing canvas of drag queens to choose from.”
And amazing talent there is, which leads to the speculation of which of the queens will once again be dazzling us with their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. The amateur sleuths at the Drag Race Reddit seem to believe the S3 cast will include season 9 “fan favorite” (don’t call her Miss Congeniality) Valentina, as well as Trixie Mattel, Shea Couleé and possibly Milk. Buzzfeed did a little digging into the queens’ booking schedules and added Thorgy Thor, Gia Gunn and Derrick Barry to the list of potential contestants. Willam’s name has also come up often, but it’s doubtful Ru would have him back after his season 4 disqualification from Drag Race.
Here’s my dream season 3 lineup (since they can’t bring my all-time Drag Race favorite, Pandora Boxx, back for another All Stars.) This is in no particular order, and the fact that I’m still friends with some of these queens doesn’t influence my choice at all:

The new season of All Stars, the first to air on VH-1 after moving from Logo, will hit the airwaves in early 2018. The tenth season of Drag Race and the ninth season of Untucked will air in the spring of next year as well. I can’t wait for the eleganza! Now, sashay away.

This is a good list. I think I like everyone but Ben but only because I don’t relly remember Ben at all.
Katya and Shangela are probably my favs going in.
I hope Kim Chi has grown into her persona more and learned how to dance. She was so cute and her looks were mostly amazing, but she was also too hard on herself. You cannot be a real drag queen based on looks alone.
Hmm too soon for another All Stars, need another season I think. Also Katya was on All Stars 2!
I could happily never see Thorgy onscreen again.
Anyway, Violet won her season so I’m sated. Queen of queens.

Chi Chi, the queen with the MOST heart and soul. I absolutely loved every minute she was on drag race. If she’s on all stars I’ll be rooting for her to win.
Thorgy… I do not understand how anyone can stand her. I’m not kidding when I say she makes my stomach hurt. And I don’t think she’s a bad person, at all. She just makes me uncomfortable and deeply annoyed.
Anyway I’ll be watching every second of this!!

Raven will always and forever be my favorite queen from RPDR. Interestingly enough she came second on her season of DR and also second on All Stars, but she’s somehow probably the most successful/loved and well known queens in DR Herstory. Goes to show being #1 isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. She also got an Emmy nod for doing Ru’s makeup this past season after her long-time makeup artist, Mathu abruptly quit at the beginning of the season. So proud of her.
Bianca Del Rio is also a fav but she is already winna baby! lol
Also think April Carrion should be on All Stars. Katya Nina Flowers is so fierce. Courtney Act Ben De La Creme, Valentina…

Nina Flowers was always my favourite and the only one I follow on FB. I don’t know why, I guess she just seemed so sweet and funny. I can see how she won Miss Congeniality.
Even though Shangela provided some of the best drama during her seasons (I saw it, it was tulle!), I think I’m ok with her not being given a 3rd chance for another few seasons. There are other queens who deserve even just their 2nd shot before her 3rd.
Chi Chi and Kennedy are my top picks though!
yeah, we’ve seen enough of Shangela I think. (plus she annoys me). Ready for more Chi Chi and DEF Valentina. I was gutted when she sashayed! Was Willem already on an All-Stars? Cuz I could use more Willem in my life.
This is my dream cast for All stars 3 (that haven’t already done an all stars) in no order. I tend to prefer talent and creativity, over drama.
These are all really talented queens that we didn’t get to see what they can really do, because they didn’t fit in with reality tv edits. Sure , they may have gotten a little bit of story for like half an episode; but on the whole, these are amazing queens we missed out on because they didn’t get a lot of camera time…

Thank you, thank you, thank you for including Mrs. Kasha Davis on your dream list! She really got screwed over season 7, imo. She really wasn’t given a fair shot. She is actually very funny and talented and I don’t think viewers got a chance to see it. And yes, I may be a teeny bit prejudiced because she is a dear friend of mine from high school but that doesn’t negate the fact that everything I said is true. 🙂 Love her, she could have gone very far.
