Heidi Klum says her body will bounce back from fourth pregnancy

Heidi Klum is mocking me. She’s mocking all of us. She’s talking about how easy it will be for her body to bounce back after she gives birth to her fourth child – a daughter she and husband Seal are expecting late summer/early fall. Heidi’s all, “Oh, I’ll bounce back, suckers.” I wish I looked as good in my normal, everyday life as Heidi looks when she’s supposedly big as a whale with her fourth pregnancy. By the way, Heidi isn’t actually mocking us, I just felt that way when I read this quote: “I’m not worried. I know my body will go back again!” I really love Heidi, and I know she’s not trying to brag, but I still feel mocked. We’re not all supermodels, Heidi!

US Weekly got Heidi to mock us when she was attending a fundraiser for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s “A Time For Heroes” celebrity carnival. Heidi also has some cute things to say about how her older kids are handling this pregnancy:

Heidi Klum isn’t concerned about packing on major pounds with her fourth pregnancy.

“Certain things you get used to,” Klum told Usmagazine.com Sunday at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s “A Time For Heroes” celebrity carnival. “You get used to all the changes of your body. It’s not like I’m going, ‘Oh my God!’ I’m used to that part of it.”

Klum says her children — Leni, 5, Henry, 3, and Johan, 2 — have already noticed the changes in her body.

“They get it,” said Klum, who renewed her vows with husband Seal in May on the Malibu shore. “They always rub my tummy.

“If I had a dress on, Leni would literally go all the way down under my dress to rub my tummy. And I go, ‘My underwear is showing, thank you very much!'”

Added Klum (who is expecting a baby girl): “You feel like a Buddha!”

As for getting back her post-baby bod, she’s not concerned.

“I’m not worried,” said Klum, who famously sported a bikini at a 2005 Victoria’s Secret fashion show two months after welcoming son Henry. “I know my body will go back again!”

[From US Weekly]

I really am happy for Heidi and Seal. I love them as a couple, and I think they just have a really tight family. In the next few months, we’ll start seeing more of Heidi as she starts promoting the sixth season of Project Runway, which will begin in August. For fans of Project Runway, I found this interesting article at MSNBC about the new season, which was filmed in Los Angeles in what was apparently an exact replica of the old New York set. Heidi was very disappointed, because she was hoping that Lifetime (Project Runway’s new home) would give the show a massive set upgrade. Not so much, apparently.

Here’s Heidi taking her daughter to the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles on May 31st. Images thanks to WENN.com .

    i don’t like her

  2. grisgris says:

I doubt mine is going to come back after my second! Ugh.

But I can’t hate her, at least she allows her body to get big when she is pregnant and stay that way for a bit. It drives me nuts how so many underweight celebs gain 5 lbs when they are pregnant and are walking around in size 0 jeans two days ater giving birth.

After I had my first Jessica Alba interviewed that she spent 5 hours a day on the elliptical machine after having her daughter. What new mother has 5 hours a day to spend working out? Shouldn’t you be spending that time with your child?

    Dear Heidi,

    STFU.

    Sincerely,
    Filthy Cute

  4. Scorpiogal says:

Grisgris- I know! 5 hours a day?? Not to mention, what new mom has that sort of energy? Even with help that sounds insane. It’s obsessive and sick.

I can’t think of anything else. Fill free to add on if you can.I’m not a Heidi hater either, just keeping it very real!

  6. Ana says:

Heidi is one those women that I’m so jealous of I would feel the need to punch her in her face if I saw her. (As long as she wasn’t pregnant.) But then She would say something sweet or funny and I would melt into a puddle at her feet.

    Bitch.

Haha. Jessica Alba is sick. Didn’t she claim that she doesn’t work out anymore?

  7. boomchakaboom says:

I’m crazy ’bout Heidi & Seal. They’re an awesome couple who apparently enjoy the hell out of each other. You know, there are some people who seemingly bounce back after childbirth just naturally – I’m friends with a few of those lucky bitches. They aren’t rich or famous, their bodies just seem to go right back to normal by the time they are discharged from the hospital. I, however, am NOT one of those people, and it just fills me with wonder and, yes, ENVY, to see them go back to their regular clothes immediately. It’s like a damn miracle or something. *sigh*

  8. HEB says:

Heidi will never be anything but perfect in my eyes.

  9. ER says:

I’ve even read celebrities comments that they know it’s easier for them than the average woman because they can hire child care, pay for personal trainers, and have all meals catered to their dietary needs.

I suppose if I were being paid for the way my body looks, I’d want it to look amazing all the time too, even a few months after giving birth!

  10. Annie says:

    Damn her.

  11. LuLu says:

I can’t stand her at all. But, if I had David Kirsch beating my a$$ 24/7 after I had a kid and I was eating nothing but lettuce leaves and grilled chicken, I would be equally as hot.

And please, dye your roots! That drives me nuts.

” What new mother has 5 hours a day to spend working out? ”
One that has a job that revolves around her body/appearance. That’s about 3 hours less a day than I have to spend at work everyday

  13. Granger says:

Well d’uh, when you also spent a lot of time DURING pregnancy working out and eating well, it’s only natural that your body will bounce back faster afterward. Make no mistake — this is not a woman who uses pregnancy as an excuse to eat a banana split every night and lie on her ass watching television for hours on end!

  14. Cinderella says:

I love Heidi and Seal. Of course she’s going to bounce back…the woman works her ass off.

  15. anastasiabeaverhausen says:

She seems too real and has a lack of arrogance for me to hate her.

  16. cakes says:

    Granger,
You are absolutely right. If you are in good shape before you get pregnant work out during your pregnancy your body will have an easier time bouncing back. It drives me crazy to see women with 5 year olds still overweight saying “its pregnancy weight”. Just because you are preggo doesn’t mean you can sit around and eat crap foods.
Working out can be easy time wise. Get some at home work out videos and work out when you have a free half hour and change your diet. Having a healthy life style isn’t that hard.

  17. BlueSkies says:

She’s rather plain looking in the face.

  18. drm says:

@ Georgiagirl…thank you for that reality check.

More perspective…after my third pregnancy (twins) my body has never gone back…sorry those of you who would like to put it down to my sitting around eating ‘crap’ but with four kids, a full on job AND at various times putting myself through university and then writing my PhD ‘sitting around’ has never been high on my list of ‘things I must do’. I also have very small amounts of crap food in my house, and an almost unlimited amount of fruit and veg (trying to ensure my children don’t think cheezies are part of the four food groups you see…)

Thing is? I’m happy, I run around all over the place, I have the hot new husband quotient going on…and I’m a size 16. When you like yourself you’re good to yourself, and that means putting good food in your body and moving your ass (exercise) because you realise that that is what its all about…:) I’m never going to look like I did at 27, I’m 43 and I’ve had four kids and that is also really all right 🙂

    Cheers

  19. TinaWithPom says:

I’m jealous of Heidi, but she’s also very likable (at least in her interviews), so likable that I, too, would totally melt at her feet if I were to ever meet her.

For me, pregnancy changed my body in that it completely redistributed my fat content. I have softer curves and more in the hips and thighs. It’s not because I sat around watching TV and eating “crap food.” I exercised and ate healthy. It’s just how some women are built. What I ultimately got(a healthy, beautiful child) made my fuller, softer, and bigger, post-pregnancy body worth it.

And can I just add that Jessica Alba is a vapid woman with minimum-to-no acting talent? Spending FIVE hours on the elliptical… yes, her life as a young mother sure is tough, sure is hectic.

  20. Larissa says:

    @drm : I´ll be happy to be a size 16 at 43!!! =)

I don´t care much about Heidi , but I DO NOT envy her, my husband is way hotter than hers! truth has to be said… lol

  21. gee_gee says:

I gave up trying to hate Heidi years ago. And that little helium voice? It’s actually cute. I don’t know. Just adore her & Seal.

  22. Annie says:

No hating on Seal’s looks, I believe the man has Lupis. That’s coldblooded to hate on his face.

    He’s an amazing spirit.

  23. Larissa says:

I didn´t “hate on his looks”, can´t I just think my husband is hotter without ppl implying I think Seal is ugly because of his lupus ?! which is totally not the case, Seal is quite a looker if ya ask me !!!! Still, I find my husband hotter than him! And I don´t even need to be a supermodel who bounces back after pregnancy! Lucky me !!!!
