I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Lindsay Lohan. She seems to have made her own bed – or to have messed it up and left a bunch of wrappers, butts and empty mini vodka bottles in the sheets, to use a better metaphor – but I can relate to her on-off relationship with Sam. When I was younger, I had a tumultuous relationship with someone and it was really painful to break up and get back together again. Neither of us wanted to end it because we both cared for each other, we just couldn’t get along for some reason. It was a bad dynamic and we both needed to grow up and find someone we were better suited for.
Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson seem to have a similar toxic relationship in that they can’t stay away from each other but can’t make it work no matter how hard they try. Lohan also needs to do some work on herself, to put it mildly, and reach a point where she’s ready to be in a committed relationship. She doesn’t seem capable of giving up the massive drama, and drugs and alcohol are likely to play a large part in that.
So Sam allegedly broke up with Lindsay for the umpteenth time, this time via text message, after Lindsay got upset that Sam was having dinner with her nemesis Nicole Richie:
The yo-yo that is the Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson romance has bottomed out once more, with the on-off-on-off-on-off couple reportedly falling apart on Monday night following — shocker — an argument.
According to a report on Eonline.com, the fiery twosome, who had recently reconciled after splitting quite publicly earlier in the year, came to its latest breakup following a dispute that apparently involved discussion of Sam’s pal Nicole Richie.
“Nicole refuses even to be in the same room as Lindsay,” E! News quotes a source as saying. And it looks like LiLo and SamRo were arguing about a recent birthday party Nicole held for a mutual friend last week at Bar Marmont; Sam was invited and Lindsay was not. “Sam went to the party, and it really upset Lindsay,” the source says.
After having dinner with Nicole at Izakaya on Monday night, Sam allegedly sent Linds a breakup text, letting her know that their relationship was kaput and not to communicate with her.
Why do we get the feeling this isn’t the last time we’ll be writing about these two?

Remember that kind of pitiful interview Lindsay did on Ellen almost two months ago after Sam broke up with her for the first time? She also gave an exclusive interview to US Weekly at the time in which she said things like “Everyone’s turned on me,” “I’m just really hurt,” and “It’s absolute hell.”
The media outlets will probably continue to give Lohan a forum because it makes for good gossip, but it’s sad to see the depths to which she’s sunk. She is suspected of stealing $400k worth of jewelry that went missing from a photo shoot and it’s hard not to suspect her since she’s been involved in at least three other incidents in which it’s known that she’s stolen.
What’s next for Lindsay? She has so much pain inside and even if Sam takes her back again it’s not like everything will magically be ok for her. I really liked Ellen’s advice for her, that she should get away from it all and stop going to clubs. She’s still up to her old tricks, though. Maybe she could go somewhere, write a biography with a ghost writer, and sell it for big bucks. There are plenty of people who are interested in her story and it could be one of redemption if she makes the effort to reflect and change.

I know everyone hates her but I just keep waiting & waiting for her to straighten up and do another film as good as Mean Girls. 🙁 I feel bad for her. I know what it’s like to be in a toxic situation and not even know it’s toxic let alone how to get away from it. Here’s to hoping she someday finds her way.
I think she sucks as an actress. I watched mean girls and seemed like she was playing lindsay. i just don’t get it. her and scarlett johannson can’t act their way out of paper bags. if they didn’t have their looks they wouldn’t get any jobs. you don’t have to be a great beauty to be a great actress. look at frances mcdormand. i can’t stand lindsay she just comes off as so pathetic and needy.
Sam probably found out for sure that Lindsay stole the jewels and that was the last straw. If not, she is tired of all the negative press and constant problems that are associated with Lindsay and has wised up that her association with her might be detrimental to her own career. ’bout time that girl grew some brains.

It’s not enough for this lowlife to be photographed with beautiful clothes and jewelry – no. She has to thieve too. If the industry even suspects this story is true, I don’t think we’ll see her talentless face on future US fashion magazines.
I believe the people around her with any public persona to salvage have bailed discreetly. Yet this idiot hasn’t learned a thing about burnt bridges in this town.

I feel so bad for this bitch. I’m sure she’s annoying as hell, but she stills touches my cold, cold heart. I feel she has been used by her mom, dad, that brown kid (the serial cherry popper) from that 70’s show, the Pink Taco douche and even by that ugly thing Sam (who reminds me of that Pat character from snl). I just wish she’d cash in everything she has left and run to the country, w/her sis and just start the f**k over before she dies.
It really seems like she’s badly relapsed and needs to be in treatment. Of course, she won’t end up in treatment until she needs to make a plea bargain. Unfortunately, this time around she may find herself behind bars if she’s charged with a crime.

I enjoy good dirt, but this is quickly getting really sad, really quick. I mean, after being raised by Michael and Dina – the bitch is already certifiable. Throw in a heavy dependancy and a toxic relationship . . . well, no one should have to live their early twenties in the spotlight.

I agree with Ashley. I think LiLo has a lot of talent, but she is throwing it all away. If she could conquer her demons and get herself under control I really do think she could have a bright future as an actress. That’s a really big IF, however. It’s a shame; she has all the opportunities in the world to be famous (in a GOOD way), wealthy and lead a great life, but she just keeps sabotaging herself. She needs long term help to get out of this self destructive cycle she’s in, or she’s just plain doomed.
I think maybe Mean Girls was a lucky fluke. I hear people say all the time that Lilo is a good actress, really talented, etc, and the only example they give is Mean Girls. There were some really awesome people involved in that project (cough cough TINA FEY); maybe that’s why it was a good movie, and not because of one actress. A really good director can get a good performance out of a bucket of hair.
I don’t know Other Zoe – I might have liked those boots if I saw them in neutral territory, but under these circumstances they give off this uinwholesome “britney circa crazy-times” stench. I love boots. And I have a suspicion that these poor things need a good clean, cup of chammomile tea and a long break from active service to get over the hectic life Lindsay has thrust them into. Won’t somebody think about the innocents in this!?! Pity the boots ;o)
Eeek, the tights in summer look. Reminds me of the 80s when insecure girls would wear them to cover up their legs because they were not comfortable with their bodies. sad.
