Legion Season Two Premiere

Is it just me or is this the best Dan Stevens has ever looked? That fuschia suit really pops and complements his coloring. [Go Fug Yourself]

  1. Voldielocks says:

I LOVE the suit! Not crazy about his shoes, but his suit is fantastic!

  2. SM says:

I have no clue who thos guy is, but I like that suit and it does look great on him. Those are the real matches made in heaven, not Cinderella finding her Price Charming or Prince Trouble finding his saviour (sorry could not resist the reference to what seems to be the topic of the day)

    • minx says:

Stevens was Cousin Matthew on Downton Abbey.

      • Domino says:

His head /face looks about half the size it once was. can’t believe how much he has changed, looks wise.

      • minx says:

Domino, it does! I preferred him with a little more meat on his bones.

      • DiegoInSF says:

Wow, I didn’t watch Downtow but he looks so much better now, can’t believe it’s the same guy!

      • strange says:

And more importantly, the super hot guy in The Guest, the best movie of 2014 nobody saw.

      • Chaine says:

@minx i agree, he could do to put a few pounds back on! But I love the suit!

      • magnoliarose says:

He looks very different. Wow. I didn’t recognize him.

      • holly hobby says:

Yes I love Cousin Matthew with a little more padding. He’s still ok but the Downton Era Dan was really all that!

    • VSK says:

WOW! I would have NEVER guessed it is Cousin Matthew! He looks half his size and half his age.

      • Rumi says:

I agree Strange, the Guest he was fantastic. Man those eyes are stunningly blue. Love the suit and love me some doc Martins but not that print.
Beauty and the beast is my guilty pleasure and he was great along with everyone except Emma, I’m sorry shes got no range, like Kirsten Stewart. If Gugu could’ve been Belle, would have been perfection.

      • Abby says:

@rumi completely agree about beauty and the beast. I really wish they would have cast Emmy Rossum as Belle.

      • ZGB says:

Don’t tell me he was Gaston??? Was he not also Silver…something in Avengers?

How Is He The Same Person??!!!!

    • Reece says:

And Edward Ferras in the 2008 Sense & Sensibility. That’s where I first saw him.

  3. Pirate Dread says:

This quote from Lainey about Princess Charlene cut me to the bone for some reason.

“If I were her, I’d be like, the dude I married stood beside me grinning like an idiot when I was crying at the altar. And now I’m standing next to a prince who wrote a letter to tell the world how much he cares about his (then)girlfriend.”

Romance and love is a fickle bitch. Who decides who gets love and who does not?

  4. HK9 says:

    1, Love the suit!!
    2. Princess Charlene-I used to laugh when people online called her prison bride, but when i saw her cry like that I felt so bad. She’s there crying away during the wedding and Prince Albert is just looking at her like she’s got a piece of lint on her shoulder and I’m like comfort her FFS!! Sigh…it looks like she hit her stride now though and things are better but it was a ROUGH beginning.

    • Katy says:

Can someone fill me in on why Princess Charlene was crying during her wedding? Was she being forced to marry him?

      • Danielle says:

There were rumors that she tried to escape to another country shortly before the wedding. I think also shortly before the wedding it came out he may have a 3rd and 4th illegitimate child, one only 18 months old. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2010834/Monaco-royal-wedding-Charlene-Wittstock-tried-run-away-3-times.html

      • Siiiigh says:

The rumors sound too ludicrous to be true, but Monaco is kind of a sketchy place, and no matter how much I try to defend the video of her crying as her just being emotional by the wedding and the song, etc., she just looks absolutely miserable. She keeps forcing a smile but she is devastated.
Hadn’t she found out only days before that Albert had fathered another kid? Which means he had not only cheated on her but fathered a baby with some other woman while they were dating. Blegh. She looks horribly sad.

  5. Lightpurple says:

    Cousin Matthew!

    • Esmom says:

Yes! I just heard a promo for Fresh Air, he will be on tomorrow. I like the suit. Above the neck, he reminds me a bit of a fuzzy baby chick, lol.

  6. Merritt says:

Charlene and Albert are confusing. The crying at the wedding was concerning. But she has said she was not forced to marry him. I hope that is the case.

  7. Lucy says:

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I LOVE IT. All of it!!! Dang, look at his eyes.

    • Beth says:

His eyes are the first thing I noticed. Beautiful! The color of his suit makes his eye color look extra bright. I love it all

    • ZGB says:

To quote Katherine from TVD, “His eyes are sooo BLUUUE!!!”

  8. deadnotsleeping says:

Legion is one of the best things I watched last year. It was amazing and scary, I thought about each episode for days afterwards. I rewatched it on Hulu to prep for season 2 and liked it just as much (and noticed more) in a second viewing. On spring break at the beach with the kids, but can’t wait to get home to watch it.

    • pru says:

It’s like some weird avant-garde art film meets comic book. I love it so much! And Dan is great in it.

    • Falula says:

Legion is aMAZing. Just watched the premiere from last night and was so excited to see his face on here immediately afterward. Every time I watch it I say “doesn’t it feel like the most movie-ish tv show ever?” every 5 minutes or so. My husband probably wants me to stop doing that 😂

  9. incognito says:

    I’m digging the Doc’s. Perfection.

  10. Digital Unicorn says:

I love the look and he does love his DM shoes.

And as for Prince Albert – he is his fathers son.

  11. Ada says:

Have always found him attractive, even on Downton, pre-Guest workouts. The outfit is amazing – love a man who wears colours this exuberantly (also the teal socks really make this look). Really appreciate his loyalty to Doc Martens too.

  12. lucy2 says:

Skinny Matthew is looking good! I still want to check out Legion, it sounds bizarre but interesting.

  13. Anastasia says:

How did he shrink his HEAD? I love the suit, but the shoes push it over into “too much” category for me.

  14. Betsy says:

Eh. The suit is fine. I love blue eyes.

I do worry about him. It’s none of my business, but one always wonders if that kind of weight loss is him being healthy, him on drugs, him pressured to lose weight, or him developing a problematic relationship with food.

    • strange says:

He’d always said in interviews that he just started eating healthy and exercising when he moved to New York after Downton Series 3, though he’s also lost weight and gained muscle for specific roles (though not for Legion) too.
      Seems fine to me.

  15. Veronica says:

It’s a great suit. I wish more male celebrities would (could?) start having fun with fashion. Expand that industry out from the traditional black tie look.

  16. Jay says:

Minus the shoes he looks great! Has he lost a bunch of weight?

  17. Green Is Good says:

I love Dan Stevens, and I LOVE his suit! It’s wonderful when men take fashion risks and they work.

  18. SJhere says:

He has lost a lot of weight since being on DA, he wasn’t overweight on it either IMO.
This color does make his blue eyes stand out but, it’s a lot of color. I’d have possibly done the shirt in this color not the entire suit, and I hate those shoes. Ugly.

Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby on Peaky Blinders) has the market cornered on Blue Eyed Hotty with Acting talent, IMO.

Dan Stevens should have stayed on DA all the way thru. Cashed those checks. The only thing I’ve seen him in since DA was the live version of Beauty and the Beast and he was in character 95% of that movie, with his face covered.

    • Jussie says:

Downton Abbey wasn’t a crazy moneymaker for the cast. The leads got 1 million to sign on for the final 3 seasons. That’s fantastic for a British TV show…but not really worth the time commitment if you’re a young actor with more interesting opportunities available to you.

Stevens got fantastic reviews for The Guest, and Legion is incredible. He’s also been consistently getting support roles in films. He’s doing better than the rest of the Downton cast.

  19. Margo S. says:

Holy moly Dan stevens. Such a handsome feller.

  20. Tig says:

DA is being shown again on PBS- and he was so boyish looking back then. Loved him onD that show.
I guess the contrast bet then and now is one reason his face looks so gaunt. He will always have those amazing eyes, just like Chris Pinr.
Is it better to watch season 1 of Legion, or will I be lost if I jump into season 2 cold? TX in advance😀

  21. adminsalve says:

Definitely start with season one, Tig. The show can be really dense, you would likely be pretty confused IMO. I hope you like it! It is a really visually stunning show and Stevens does a good job.
