Say what you will about Gwyneth Paltrow, but I get the feeling that she’s pretty good with money and financial planning and investments. Gwyneth was born wealthy, and she used to make a lot of money as an actress. Now she makes a lot of money off of her Goop lifestyle/wellness/fashion brand. She has investors, she has sponsors, and what can I say? It’s a good moment to be in the pseudoscience and snake-oil-sales business. I also got the feeling that “money” was one of the big reasons why Gwyneth and Chris Martin’s divorce and conscious uncoupling was so drawn out – they were bickering, behind the scenes, about money and real estate and who got what.
All of which to say… Gwyneth’s husband-to-be Brad Falchuk is marrying a woman who is very rich. Brad isn’t poor, by any means: he’s a successful television producer/showrunner type, but he’s definitely the “beta” to Gwyneth’s alpha in every sense, especially financially. So is Gwyneth protecting her goopy assets? You can bet your ‘90s flat-iron on it.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk are getting closer to saying “I do.” A source confirms to E! News that the Avengers actress and TV writer have a prenup in place ahead of their wedding.
“Yes, there is a prenup. It was very easy and they were both agreeable to the terms,” the insider tells us. “This was just one of the steps in their wedding planning process. They have both been married before and felt this needed to happen.”
The source continued, “They each have assets and children from previous marriages so it makes sense to have an agreement in place. There were no surprises and it was a quick process.”
I’ve never really thought of Brad Falchuk as a golddigger, but it could be seen that way from certain angles: he dumped his wife, the mother of his children, when someone richer came along. He played the long game and now he’s about to marry one of the richest women in Hollywood. But no, I still don’t think of him as a golddigger. I think he really does love her and he’s happy to be with such an alpha. He’s happy to be the plus-one in Gwyneth’s elite world, which is something that Chris Martin always struggled with. Anyway, good for them for doing the prenup with so little drama.

Anyone with significant assets should do this, IMO.
I do like that red dress.
Yes, 100%. I’m a normal person and have an agreement.
There’s something I really don’t like about Falchuk. Maybe it’s the way he dumped his wife and kids the second Gwyneth wanted him. For some reason Gwyneth’s friends don’t like him either – they says he’s very effeminate and think he’s gay. No one thinks this marriage will last.
That’s funny – he pinged my gaydar a little. Do we think Gwyneth is pregnant?
Yes, she looks pretty thick in the waist in that dress for Avengers premiere.
You know Gwyneth’s friends?
He was married for a long time, and he and Gwyneth have been together for like four years now. I don’t think she would ever marry a guy if he were gay and if she wasn’t having a great sex life. She got out of a marriage where it was clear she didn’t feel desired anymore.
I do get this feeling he’s not packing, though. LOL
Look at that face!
Not only is he not packing- but he needs to dye those eyebrows or something post-haste. He looks…extremely unbangable in an early 90’s sitcom kinda way.
*Cackle*
He has a punchable face. I bet he is as unsufferable as she it. Good luck with that!
Yeah, Goop is always looking for the upgrade. He is the moneybags in that relationship, not her.
Her inexplicable side hustles (she was endorsing frozen food in Europe while promoting fresh food here) shows that.
Hardly. She’s worth far more than Brad and so is Chris Martin worth far more. So not an upgrade as far as financially. One day maybe he will be worth a lot more with hit shows. But so far about 20 million. She’s worth much more than that, also considering she was married to Chris for over a decade, I doubt they had a prenup. His record and touring proceeds are high. She and Chris are rumored to be worth $140 million each. Both are mega-millionaires.
I didn’t realize his face has this expression permanently. It’s kind of “what is happening please save me”…. I’ve never seen a face look like this all the time. It’s remarkable. I’m just trying to think how it must be to have conversations with him…
Right I thought the same thing. Going to go look for an interview to see if that’s really always his expression
Well. Watched an interview, the first one that came up. He was talking about having dyslexia and not being diagnosed until college. I take back any snark, he’s much better in motion. He also seems like a good guy. I like him now. 🙂
He does have feminine features to me too. (I think someone said that above). He reminds me of Matthew Morrison? (the music teacher in Glee? I’m not a fan; probably got his name wrong).
