First of all, is anyone else excited that Creed 2 is filming? I made my teenager go see Creed with me in the theater and we loved it. It’s out this November! I will definitely see that, fingers crossed that MoviePass still works at that point.

This is a story you may have already heard about how a college student at Temple University in Philadelphia heard that Michael B. Jordan was filming on campus and came up with a creative way to ask him to meet with her. She asked him in an Instagram DM if he wanted her to get him a smoothie! The coed’s name is Sylvia Wilson, Jordan responded and meet up with her for photos, which turned out so cute as you can see above. I’m already shipping them in my mind, which I know is ridiculous! This is just a celebrity who posed with a fan. Wilson’s explanation of why she asked Jordan if he wanted a smoothie was my favorite part of this. She knows he’s into fitness like she is and thought that would appeal to him. Jordan didn’t want the smoothie but he didn’t mind meeting her. Here’s what she told E! and I’ll include some of her tweets after this with more answers about their meetup.

The college student tells us that after her athletic advisor informed her that Jordan was on campus, she decided to DM him to see if she could get him a smoothie in exchange for a picture.

After sending the message, Jordan didn’t respond right away, but then “my notifications went off and that’s when I saw the DM,” Wilson tells us.

“I was like, ‘Oh my goodness!’ And just started freaking out,” Wilson shares. “He was really nice about everything! He was like, ‘Hey you don’t have to get me a smoothie just come and take pictures.’ But my friends were going to take pictures as well and he was like, ‘You guys can all come together as a group.'”

Wilson continues, “Then we worked out details to come. He made sure that security would let him know that we were there. He was really nice about it all, we went in and he gave us all hugs and he took pictures with each and every one of us. And then there was a group of people who saw us taking pictures with him and he didn’t really want a crowd so he quickly got out of there, and I’m not sure if he took pictures with the other people but we just left.”

What made her think to offer a smoothie to the actor?

“It was really hot outside and because I was doing my physical therapy and I figured he was training, I was like it’s probably not right to ask him out for drinks or something like that,” Wilson explains. “I was like I’ll just see if he wanted a smoothie because I really wanted a smoothie. So I’m like, while I’m getting one for myself I may as well just see if he wants one.”

I know Jordan has said some stupid things about dating in the past, but I we haven’t heard anything bad about him in the interim and he hasn’t stepped in it in years. I hope he’s grown as a person and that he’s not as much of a player. If he is, he’s discreet about it. I am just sad (spoilers for Black Panther) that he’s not going to be in the Black Panther sequel. Or will he? I guess it doesn’t matter considering that his career is on fire and he has a bunch of other films coming out. Also Fahrenheit 451 is out May 19th on HBO! (I didn’t intentionally reference that with “career on fire,” I wrote that before I realized.)
