Kat Von D and Leafar Seyer had a party to celebrate their February wedding

A post shared by Kat Von D (@thekatvond) on

Even though they were officially wed back in February, tattoo artist and makeup maven Kat Von D, 36, and her husband, Prayers lead singer Leafar Seyer, 42, had a party celebrating their love on Saturday.

The pair, who originally wed in a rather low-key ceremony, joined with family and friends to renew her vows. Kat and Leafar used their respective Instagram pages to count down to the big day. Two days before the ceremony, Kat posted a photo with Leafar, matching fingernails and all.

She then posted a photo holding three red carnations, one representing her, one for Leafar and one for their upcoming new arrival, a boy to be named after Leafar. Of the ceremony, she said it “has been the sweetest, most stress-free experience where we continuosly [sic] fell in love with each other all over again with each day counting down.”

Such a beautifully emotional day today. Tomorrow, @prayers and I will have our wedding ceremony for our close friends + family. This has been the sweetest, most stress-free experience where we continuosly fell in love with each other all over again with each day counting down. This is a photo of 3 carnations that our dear friends @majestyblack brought us tonight after our rehearsal and soundcheck. Red carnations are @prayers favourite flower, and the 3 represent him, me, and our sweet baby boy we are adding to our family. All I can say right now is that i am so grateful for my dear friends, and for my sweet husband. ❤️ Lastly, thank you all for all the love and for understanding that starting tomorrow we will most likely be stepping away from our phones for a while to be as present as possible on such a beautiful day. Leafar shared a photo of Kat in her wedding day finest. Since the celebration had a red theme, as opposed to the all-black theme of their February union, Kat donned a red gown and veil from designer Adolfo Sanchez topped off with a horned headpiece. He captioned the shot, “In a couple hours I’ll be walking down the aisle with the love of my life @thekatvond ❤️ EN VIDA Y EN MUERTE đź’€” It’s certainly not a traditional wedding gown, but I honestly think it’s kind of bad ass.

Guests attending the ceremony were treated to the best table favor ever, a lipstick created exclusively for the event. The shade, called En Vida y En Muerte (In Life and In Death), is black with gold flecks. Beats he hell out of tulle-wrapped Jordan almonds, doesn’t it?

Back in May, Kat celebrated the 10th anniversary of her popular makeup line at LA club Vibiana. Guests to the soirĂ©e were decked out in all-gold ensembles and Leafar’s “Cholo Goth” (I still love that term) band entertained the crowd. At one point, Kat joined her hubby onstage to perform “Black Leather.” Aww, the couple that sings together, stays together, right? I think this is definitely a match made in goth heaven.

Weird and unique. The lipstick is BADASS. But you do you, girl! Mazel!

I didn’t know she was pregnant!

  3. Skittlebrau says:

I know this is petty but carnations are her favorite flower?

    Love the antlers!

  5. Sam says:

How are you supposed to pronounce Leafar? In my mind I’m pronouncing it like Jafar, but that’s probably not right.
I kind of like the antler crown, even though it looks a bit like lobster claws in the first photo.

    • K-Peace says:

It’s pronounced LEE-uh-far, I believe. His stage name Leafar Seyer is his real name (Rafael Reyes) backwards.

  6. L S says:

I’ll be shocked, if they’re still together by the time the baby arrives.

  7. Hoping says:

Goth, excessive and tacky. I love it.
I am also very curious to see how the lipstick looks like on someone’s lips.

  8. Mortal says:

I love her dress. It has Copola’s Dracula vibes.

  9. Parigo says:

Looks pretty awesome. I want that lipstick.

Soooooo, she dressed as a she devil for her wedding. That gives me chills ( and they aren’t the good kind).
Looks way too weird and twisted for me. Gross!
