The more I see of Taylor Swift with red hair, the angrier I am that she insists on her current shade of dirty blonde. She should totally be a redhead!!! I know that’s asking for a lot though – I think “bottle redheads” always say that maintenance on their red hair is crazy and time-intensive, so of course I’m not saying that Taylor should add all of that extra time into her styling. But still, she looks amazing as a redhead. I will die on this hill! She should be a redhead.
These stills are from the music video for Sugarland’s “Babe,” which was a song co-written by Taylor Swift for her album Red. Taylor had this song in her vault for years before she offered it to Sugarland to record. It works out well – Sugarland gets a bit hit song and Taylor gets another hit song for her back catalogue. Sugarland released the teaser for the music video last week, and then the full video came out this weekend:
As I suspected, Jennifer Nettles plays “the good wife” and Taylor plays the Ginger Vixen Who Seduces The Husband. Obviously, Tay-Tay couldn’t play the role of homewrecking vixen with blonde curls. “Homewreckers” are never blonde in Taylor’s world! And just as I figured, Taylor was the one to determine how the music video would go. Apparently, she wrote the treatement for the music video herself:

“She actually reached out to us and said, ‘I’ve got a great idea for the video,’ and she wrote the treatment,” Nettles, 43, told PEOPLE exclusively Wednesday at the CMT Awards. “And we looked at it,” Bush, 48, added, “and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this is awesome.’”
So Taylor wrote it and wanted to play the role of homewrecking vixen! She wrote the role for herself after – presumably – binge-watching Mad Men. I mean… I guess I don’t hate that. It’s something different, at least.
PS… Watch the music video again and tell me whether or not Tay had butt implants. There are some shots during the “office kissing” scene where suddenly she’s got a really curve to her normally-flat backside. What’s going on there?

Really?? What a *stupid*, ludicrous attempt to body shame!! First off, not every woman even wants a big butt—I know I don’t. That doesn’t mean I think women with large asses are unattractive, since when that’s their natural body (unlike a Kardashian) it looks terrific on them! But I’m too petite for a big ass to look good on me, and I am perfectly content not to have one. Women come in ALL sizes and shapes, and to select any woman as an object of derision/mockery simply for having a particular body type is ignorant, mean, and sexist as hell. To suggest a certain body type is unattractive or ugly or somehow lacking only reflects very poorly on *you.*

Taylor has gained a significant amount of weight, so I doubt she has implants in her rear. She’s not fat, mind you, but she has definitely let herself fill out from her 1989 skin-and-bones look.

100% she has definitely put on a bit of weight and looks all the better for it – maybe she had implants or maybe it’s a combination of the weight gain and that she’s working out. Her breast implants aren’t as obvious with the weight gain IMO. Think she’s looking fab! agreed. I gained about 8 lb, and in a very petite person, and the first things that gained weight were my butt and my boobs. All of a sudden I have a butt!
Yet she really only gained weight in her hips/butt. Her legs are still thin, she still has a flat stomach, etc. How convenient for her that she gained weight in the one area you know she was self conscious in 😝

Yeah she has definitely gained quite a bit in her legs – that is very obvious in the recent pictures of her concert, since she is wearing sparkly leotards with heavy duty fishnet tights, so her legs are on display. If you compare those pictures with ones from her last concert tour (where she didn’t wear tights) is is clear that her legs are bigger (they used to be very skinny!) She also looks fuller in the face. She is not fat by any means, but she has gained pretty much everywhere. So it is not surprising that she got a butt as well.
It’s butt pads. If you have a flat arse it will still be flat after weight gain. Only surgery can enhance; serious workouts can improve tone but they can’t change the shape you were born with.
The picture is also cut from an angle where her hips are jutting as she walks, making her look bigger. If watch the video, she’s still pretty slim. The weight she’s gained took her from couture model thin to average tall woman thin. It rid her of the gangling look she had to her a few years back. which gives her a more mature, less girlish appearance.

She looks gorgeous, doesn’t she? That red hair is to die for. I’m a bottle red and upkeep on s hard, but if I can, she can, and I’m getting my hair styled like hers in this video.
She looks wonderful with more weight. And it’s not just that she looks good with red hair, but that she found THE shade of red that’s so vibrant on her. I’ve never much followed her career or personal life, but I’ve seen enough to think that she’s never looked lovelier.
I think she looked great during her RED era, whenshe had long ash blonde hair with bangs. It had a very 70s feel to it.
I don’t think there are implants. I know she’s had boob job, but hers was restrained and decent. She probably just padded it for this video.

This is what surprised me. Nothing she does is really all that fresh. Like this treatment that she wrote has been done time and time again before. She is not bringing anything groundbreaking or industry changing to the table, yet still has 2 AOTY awards, is on track to have the biggest female tour of all time and I DON’T GET IT?!???? Taylor Swift is granola. She makes generic, yet admittedly catchy pop music. She isn’t revolutionary and I don’t understand how her career has been so next level when there are SO many more talented artists doing way more interesting things. It baffles and kind of upsets me.

OBVIOUSLY, that is not the case: she “went red”–with her wig–merely to thinly disguise herself, enough to simply contrast more with the other blonde woman in the video. No, she is not THAT stupid: she absolutely does not hold blonde hair as so sacred and pure that she chose the red hair b/c of her absolute aversion to “blonde as homewrecker.” Seriously, where do you *get* that idea?
