Tori Spelling claims her baby got ‘stabbed’ by nails at the Four Seasons: grifting?

Tori Spelling is an entitled grifter, I’ll open with that as it’s the whole point of this post. She owes so much to various creditors she’s been sued by several of them, she’s had her assets seized by the IRS and she also owes substantial back taxes to the state of California. In 2015 she sued Benihana restaurants for allegedly falling onto a hibachi grill and suffering “deep second and third degree burn injuries” to her arms which are sort-of visible in paparazzi shots but of which she curiously never posted photos. Tori settled with Benihana in 2017. Now she’s staying at a Four Seasons resort, probably because she stopped paying rent on the huge house she’s been renting. Tori recently Instagrammed about an incident in which her baby got “stabbed” by some nails in the game room or something. I don’t think she knows what stabbed means. [via Dlisted!]

Here’s more, thanks to People:

A rep for Spelling said Beau is “doing ok” and that the incident “was very scary.”

A spokeswoman for the Four Season tells PEOPLE, “At Four Seasons the well-being of our guests is our top priority. The team was in touch with Ms. Spelling throughout her stay. Out of respect for the privacy of our guests we do not share information about our guests or their time with us.”

[From People]

Read the statement by the Four Seasons, they are nothing but classy. I only stayed at a Four Seasons once, in the early 2000s when I guy I was dating had a conference there. The staff was extremely friendly but not intrusive at all, which is their thing. I’m sure they would have helped Tori and her family regardless of who they were as customer service is paramount there. Also, the cheapest Four Seasons outside LA is the Westlake Village location which has rooms starting at $350 a night. It’s unclear which Four Seasons Tori and her family were staying at but she is broker than broke. Most of the other Four Seasons locations cost around $500 a night. How can she afford that? Is her mom footing the bill or is she relying on these type of “mishaps” for her stay to be comped? (You know what I think, I opened with it.)

Tori is shilling for a day spa. Look at how awful her makeup is. BLEND.

This other hotel stay (Instagram below) was likely comped. Are Tori and her family just living in high end hotels and resorts now?

Jesus take the wheel. Those kids are living in crazy. Poor them.

    • meh says:

While Randy Spelling is living….the life.

      • paddingtonjr says:

It’s hard to believe she and Randy grew up in the same house with the same parents. He seems to point out the good times and accept life as it comes while Tori is always blaming her mother without accepting responsibility for anything in her life. I’m sure it is a shock to go from living in “Spelling Manor” to a seemingly normal suburban home, but Randy has made a good life for himself. Tori and Dean annoy me, but I also feel sorry for them. I think he figured he would be rich when he married Tori and after Aaron died and Tori thought she’d get at least a few million in the will. When that didn’t happen and neither one’s acting career really took off, they couldn’t deal with it. Unfortunately, they’ve brought 5 innocent (6, including Dean’s son) into this mess and no one, including Candy, seems to be in a hurry to fix it.

  2. Bridget says:

I’m sure this is totally legit and not just an attempt to get her rooms comped.

  3. minx says:

They’re not even good grifters, which is surprising because they do it so often.
Those poor kids really struck out.

  4. Cdnkitty says:

Seriously – will someone please think of the children? They look so sad in all of the photos.

    • Sassy says:

I know! I try not to read too much in these photos, maybe they just don’t like having their picture taken, but yeah. They look unhappy…

    • Holly hobby says:

Yep the look on those faces says it all

  5. Other Renee says:

Apparently there is no end to how far she will go to take advantage of people etc. She is a sociopathic grifter of the first degree. Lying is second nature to her. Believe me when I say she learned it from her family who lied to and callously took advantage of and then callously discarded a family member of mine.

    • ChillyWilly says:

That does not surprise me. Some people act all sorry for poor, put upon Candy but I have always thought she was an evil bitch and a terrible mother.

      • Other Renee says:

ChillyWilly, you are correct. I don’t like to speak ill of the dead, but the husband wasn’t any better. These people have absolutely no regard for other people. They will do whatever it takes to get what they want. This is what Tori learned from them.

  6. Jenns says:

I’m fascinated how long people can go on living like this. And after reading about that grifter in NYC, who was passing herself off as some old money, socialite, I was amazed to see how easy it is.

    • Babs says:

How long can it last though? Their dynamics are getting really scary to me. Dean checking out, Tori spiraling down into madness, the day-to-day living… plus no home no more? And what if she hurt the baby herself? I hope not but I’d believe it. I think someone have to step in and take the kids away.

  7. Mia4s says:

I laughed soooooo hard at Page Six’s write up on this. It practically screamed “she’s lying and scamming”.

Yeah I wonder what the “house issues” are. If they’re renting they can’t be renovating. Oh and if they own I imagine the IRS would be VERY interested in any renovations.

God I feel so bad for those kids. The oldest two especially are right on the cusp of understanding all this. How awful.

  8. KBeth says:

    They really are pathetic.

  9. smcollins says:

This chick, I swear. I know her parents didn’t do her any favors with the extravagant way she grew up, having everything handed to her and expecting to receive a huge inheritance, but damn. Her brother seems to be doing just fine, though. She’s incapable of learning from her mistakes and is living in a fantasy world, hoping against hope that Mommy & her millions will come to the rescue (more than she already does, that is). And Dean’s just a useless pos. I bet if she divorced him her mother would bail her out of her financial mess and put her on an allowance, but as long as Dean is still around…nope.

    • Sonia says:

I totally agree! I think once Deano is gone, Mamma Candy will start supporting her 100% financially.

  10. Esmom says:

You think in this day and age of social media where there’s no shortage of “influencers” that a company would be able to find someone better than her to rep their brand. Her posts are just sad and desperate seeming.

    • Christin says:

I think less of any company/brand mentioned by her. Probably because I automatically assume they are comping her at the expense of other customers/guests.

  11. Allie says:

Here’s a crazy idea for Tori and Dean: they could get jobs, stop having kids they can’t afford, and stop living beyond their means. I just don’t understand why they think they shouldn’t have to pay back any of the people they owe money to. And I also don’t understand why they’re getting away with it. They’re being sued by several places. So why aren’t there any consequences for their reckless spending?

    • Babs says:

Yeah, I don’t understand it either. I’m not american but I know IRS is no joke and some actual celebs went to jail over that kind of thing, but not this pair of never-beens??

      • ChillyWilly says:

There is an American saying: “There are two things in life you can’t escape: death and taxes. ” And it’s true.

      • Babs says:

So how do they get away with it? We hear about their debts for years now and nothing is happening.

    • Christin says:

The tax folks usually don’t play games. There have been celebrities and singers stripped of everything they own except maybe the clothes on their backs.

      • I think the problem here is that these two don’t “own” anything. They don’t have a home, I’m sure their cars are leased in Candys name, etc. Aside from taking the clothes off their backs I’m not sure what the IRS have to work with. If it were me I’d put a lien on any future earnings, including inheritance, and call it a day.

  12. Erinn says:

I’m not sure you can say ‘stabbed’ if the kid bumped into exposed nails. Not saying that it isn’t scary- but stabbed is incredibly over dramatic unless that nail was somehow punching out at him.

    • smcollins says:

So true. From her description you’d think the pointy end of the nail, not the head, is what was exposed and “stabbed” her toddler. I’m thinking if there really was an exposed nail he was probably scratched. Unfortunate, but such a drama queen.

      • stinky says:

Well, I don’t even HAVE kids and I know id be flaming pissed if my baby got poked, scraped or stabbed by some exposed nails in a ‘kid-centric’ area of a fancy hotel. I’d be squawkin’. LOUD.

  13. BlueSky says:

There is a blind item about this. She was hoping to get comped for the room but the hotel doesn’t do that so then she came up with her child being injured. Apparently there are lawyers involved.

    • Giddy says:

Is she a: User, grifter, or liar?
What’s that you say? You choose all 3?
Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner!

    • Mia4s says:

Apparently the Four Seasons is now checking their surveillance tapes. (Of course they would have security cameras in areas frequented by children…did the grifters think of that one?) Oh if they find proof she’s lying I hope they absolutely brutalize her in the media. Sadly though it’s more likely this will quietly go away.

      • BlueSky says:

@MIA4S sadly I think you are right. They don’t want any bad press. She probably “went public” hoping they will pay her to go away.

    • Wow! I figured she was lying to get a free room. What kind of person uses their kids like that? They’re old enough to know their parents are lying, I feel so bad for those kids.

    • Holly hobby says:

To be honest there are also insurance companies involved. So it’s not easy money and ins co and lawyers will make it hard for an easy cash out. One of my relatives got hurt on a bus once. The bus made a sudden stop while he was trying to sit down and he ended up slamming his jaw onto the bar.

Anyway he filed a claim and it ended up with the insurance co. They dug up another unrelated incident (food poisoning at McDonalds where he got a free meal coupon) and tried to say my relative was a scammer. He shut that down when he pointed out the ins co made a mistake by telling him he didn’t need an attorney to settle this (CA law prohibits them from saying that) so in the end he got a settlement.

The point of this story is it’s not easy to get a pay out and I’m sure 4 seasons won’t treat her with courtesy if she filed a claim

  14. RBC says:

Tori and Dean’s children are on my list of “most likely to write a Mommie/Daddie Dearest tell all”
That home life seems to be very chaotic

    • Neelyo says:

If they can write. Tori doesn’t seem to value education. It’s obvious by her post, she didn’t get much of one.

  15. me says:

Please stop having kids you moron ! You don’t even have a home to provide them. They are living in a hotel room probably eating take-out or room service every day. WTH?

  16. Neelyo says:

As someone commented on Dlisted, she’s not going to be allowed to make reservations anywhere.

Good luck scamming Motel 6, Tori!

    • HelloSunshine says:

That’s what I was thinking! How long before people stop letting her book in their hotels and restaurants? Seems like it’s starting to be a liability to have them around lol

Would love to know what the “House situation” entails. My guess is “they haven’t paid the rent or utilities in months”

  17. Lola says:

I stayed at the Four Seasons too for a work conference. I totally agree, their service is unparalleled. I had an issue with my room (a leaky toilet) and they resolved the problem immediately and gave me a very generous hotel credit without having to put up a fuss. In my experience there is no way they would ignore the issue.

  18. ChillyWilly says:

I thought celebs have to write #ad on these types of posts? Anyway, she has really sunk to rock bottom. I hope to God she didn’t injure her baby for a grift. I feel for those poor kids. Dean is a low life loser and Tori has major mental health issues.

  19. Dr Mrs The Monarch says:

She is so funny. Why is she asking the internet if her kid needs a tetanus shot? She should have access to her kid’s immunization record. Or a quick phone call to the doctor’s office should clear that up. I love how the hotel staff seem more genuinely concerned that her child is okay than she does.

  20. bonobochick says:

All their kids look like him.

Also, when I first saw this story, my immediate thought was that she was grifting.

  21. Starkiller says:

My eyes started crossing about halfway through her post. It’s absolutely appalling for a grown adult who is a native English speaker to have such poor grammar.

  22. Original Jenns says:

#griftingonpoint. I wonder how much was comp’d after this? Spa days for Tori and the girls? Free meals for life? Set of rooms on standby for Dean after a blowout in front of the paps?

And that’s makeup plus photoshop plus filter. I don’t think you can blend all of that!

    • Holly hobby says:

No I don’t think they comped her at all. They most likely referred this to their insurance co and atty.

  23. Ruyana says:

I wish the IRS would just go ahead and throw them into prison and end this madness.

  24. Pam says:

The people that are comping these people’s lifestyles should be forced by the court to pay Tori and Deans creditors. That would stop their freebies!

  25. TandemBikeEscapee says:

ToriI was at that same four seasons a few thanksgivings ago, the cost was around 600/nt; I was there sharing a discounted room with friends as a “treat” (their idea, will NEVER do it again) My point is, I realized Tori feels entitled to this lifestyle despite her obvious lack of funds, because this was during her “poor me” I just got evicted etc. I know people like Tori can’t imagine a motel vacation with the family on the beach where everyone eats at a hotdog stand. These types attempt to shame everyone else into paying FOR them.

  26. CairinaCat says:

So did she hurt the baby herself to grift?
Has it come to that now?

  27. OkieOpie says:

She really looks awful. Bloated and gross. She is beyond train wreck at this point and this is an obvious attempt at another money maker in the form of a lawsuit. She has become an embarrassment.

  28. Jag says:

She needs to stop scamming and actually turn into a good person.

That said, tetanus is no joke! She should have immediately taken the child to the doctor, rather than asking the hotel about medical advice. I was scratched several times by a nail over a couple of weeks and wondered only in a passing way if I should be worried. Yes, I should have immediately gotten myself to the ER for a tetanus shot because I ended up with tetanus even though I had been given a booster not even 5 years prior. It was 6 weeks of hell. There’s nothing that the doctors can do other than try to make you comfortable and hope you don’t die while your body clears the infection. The muscle spasms are horrific. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy would have helped, but no local hospitals have a chamber.
