I covered Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s engagement back in 2016. Jinger is part of the “NextGen Duggar” clan, the ones beyond the more famous Jill, Jessa and Josh Duggar. Jinger is 24 years old and she looks 14. When she married Jeremy Vuolo, it looked like an adult man taking a child bride back to his fundamentalist compound. All that being said, I actually get the feeling that Jinger made a better “match” than some of her sisters. Jeremy has the money to support her and they just seem to be a more polished couple (as far as “branding”) than her older sisters. Anyway, no surprise, Jinger got pregnant about six months into the marriage and she just gave birth… to a girl.
The Duggar family has another member to count! Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo and her husband Jeremy have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, PEOPLE confirms.
Jinger, 24, gave birth to daughter Felicity Nicole Vuolo at 4:37 a.m. on Thursday, July 19. She weighed 8 lbs. and 3 oz. and is 19.5 inches long.
“God is so kind,” Jeremy said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Both mom and baby are healthy, doing great, and resting well. We are very thankful for her safe arrival and look forward to life as parents!”
Felicity Nicole… is not a terrible name. I’m shocked at how normal it is. Anyway, this was your periodic update on the Duggar family. I haven’t really been keeping up with them, and it honestly feels like People Magazine has taken a minor step back from covering their comings and goings constantly too. Maybe people give less of a sh-t about them? I hope so.

We’ll never be through with them. There are too many of them and they’ve had that taste of fame. At least someone from that will always be trying to get their name back in the spotlight. Ug.
I think they actually waited over a year to get pregnant (or they had to try a lot longer than her sisters, who can say). Anyways, I would agree that of the sisters, she probably got the better husband — he has an actual career, he’s cool with her wearing pants sometimes and she didn’t have to pop out a baby right after her honeymoon. So, I guess that’s something.
And based on nothing but that picture above, he’s pretty cute. Go, Jinger!

I will never say her name right. I can’t help it. I know it’s supposed to be pronounced Ginger-with-a-J, but I learned that years after first reading her name and coming to my own conclusion.

Ha! It’s bad enough to name your kid Ginger (no offense to Gilligan’s Island or any other Ginger’s out there) but it’s the J. That family squeezed that letter out of the alphabet. She was always the great hope to escape. Baby name is cute for a Duggar and her husband doesn’t seem bad for a Duggar lover. I did think that Joshua ruined the family name and knocked them off their reality tv pedestal, guess not. Please don’t bring back Kate Gosselin or her I hate my eight.
Ginger Zee, on GMA is the only exception I’ll make. Her father was an immigrant and learned to speak English watching Gilligan’s Island. That’s how she got her name, better than Skipper or Little Buddy or The Movie Star Weather Girl!!

Actually they were married for a whole year before announcing their pregnancy (they were married November 2016), not six months.
Jinger is the only one not to get pregnant within the first 3 months of getting married. In fact, it became a thing about how long it took them to make a pregnancy announcement considering all her siblings got pregnant almost right away. I don’t watch the show, just watch the TLC Youtube updates and I get the sense Jeremy doesn’t want a million kids. They have always been very coy when asked about having children. Either they were using birth control or Jinger may have struggled to conceive. I do get the sense she married a more modern guy than her sisters and lucked out. She walks around in pants and high heels and such. Time will tell obviously but I’m not sure they will go the “God will give us as many children as he sees fit” route.
Also I am still rooting for poor Jana! Her twin is now courting and I’m like “There’s gotta be hope for Cinderella Duggar!”
I know! Poor Jana, run away girl! I don’t understand how no one has asked them about her or at least written something about it because it’s so obvious that her parents are keeping her with them since they have married off every daughter younger then her that’s of age. So sad, in their world she’s going to be an old maid soon.
They asked Jana a few years ago about dating and she admitted there had been interest from a few guys but she was waiting for the right one. No idea if that’s true or not but they also asked her where she saw herself in five years and the look on her face was so painful. She said something like married with kids but it was very clear that question was painful to her.
However the tabloids have speculated about it at length, some wondering if maybe she isn’t interested in guys or if she’s being held captive by her parents to take care of the younger siblings. She can’t be content sharing a bedroom with sisters not older than 12 and just corralling all the kids all the time.
I feel so bad for Jana! Talk about a drudge!
They are definitely keeping her on as a maid – without her someone else might have to do some actual work!
That said, this couple does seem almost normal. Even the statement from the dad, while referring God, was not nauseatingly over-religious. Some of the other Duggar statements were almost cringe-worthy. Like I’m sure even God was like “back off, people, I’m feeling a little stalked here”
Hopefully Felicity will be brought up almost normal.
Jana is the stay-at-home daughter in the Duggar clan. I doubt she’ll leave the nest anytime soon.
It has been rumored that Jana is gay. The mother has a gay sister or brother, don’t know which, but they were introduced on their show. Surprised Jim Bob hasn’t arranged a marriage for her, gay or not. With so many of them married and gone, they don’t need her maid services as much. Her twin brother John is courting. Haha, I used their word. I wish I didn’t know so much about them. I read everything!

The father has always claimed he was never dependent on the government. He owns several properties and surely brought home a fistful of dollars pimping out his family on tv.
He’s not quite being honest then. I thought he had full healthcare for the whole family because he spent a term as a representative or something.
It’s likely they’re living on Jinger’s show money. Jeremy spends a fortune on his wardrobe, is pastor at a start up church, yet he’s constantly out of town. He was a professional soccer player for a year or two so there’s not much of that laying around.
He looks like a douchebro to me.
