Ariana Grande knows her social media PDA with Pete Davidson is annoying

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are notorious for oversharing their (whirlwind) romance on social media. The pair have already used their Instagram and Twitter feeds to leave sweet comments for each other, and have multiple matching tattoos. Ariana has been open about her relationship in conversations with her fans (not that she has any obligation to, mind you.) That being said, she’s more than happy to post photos with Pete, like the one she posted on Saturday with caption, “My baaaaaby loves me.” Ugh…I mean, how cute.

Pete took to the comments to share the sweet sentiment, “More than anything,” to which Ariana responded “We’re annoying as f—k.” She’s kind of on the nose about this, but the first step in remedying this is to recognize it’s happening, right?

If all of this mutual social admiration isn’t enough, Ariana confirmed that she has included a song dedicated to her future husband on her new album, Sweetener, which will be released on August 17, which might be a couple of weeks after they become Mr. and Mrs. She posted an image revealing the title of three track on the album, including one called “Pete.”

After her fans gave her grief, she defended the song, commenting that, “He’s my fiancé. This is my album. I’m an honest and emotional artist and human being and if my openness in my work isn’t for you, that’s OK.” She added, “I won’t be offended. Still wishing y’all all the love in the world.” She went on to say that all three tracks, “Pete”, “Better Off” and “Goodnight N Go” are all “really beautiful.” Of “Pete” (the song), she pointed out that “it’s a special song ab the most special human being i’ve eva met. also the song is sick.”

If Ariana wants to gush over her upcoming wedding (or whatever she and Pete decide to do in the next few months), she may as well. They’re young and in love, so I don’t have an issue with letting her bask in the new relationship glow. She’ll dial it back once reality hits, which will probably be after she’s married.

why did my doctor put this thing around my face like it’s the 20s?

Didn’t J Lo include a song about Ben Affleck on her album when they were engaged? Was it called ‘Dear Ben’?

I have been there, in the throes of beginning love, and you do come off as annoying to other people. But let them enjoy it, it is sweet! I married my annoying as f*** crush and 30 years later we are still annoyinging in love. 😉

I think it’s a rebound realationship for her that’s not going to last.

I agree that she is just in the ‘in love’ phase and is over sharing. If it continues, it could have a backlash but for her sake: I wish her and Pete all the best. I do think she has one of the best voices in current POP, she still needs vocal coaching on enunciation but still a lovely voice when it works. While some of her songs are hit and misses, I am enjoying the ‘God is a Woman’ song and the duet with Troye Sivan ‘Dance to This’.

I can’t pick out any words when she’s singing, but it’s worked out okay for her so far.

Have you heard Dua Lipa’s voice? I can’t say I like/relate to her music much ( writes about very young woman’s life/relationship issues), but she has an amazing voice. Much lower register than AG’s. I think she will also have great success as she matures.

Well, we know he has mental health issues and I wouldn’t be surprised if she is still dealing with the emotional after effects of Manchester. I’m not mad at these kids. Be happy and good luck.

lol, I like this girl. Idk about him, but I definitely like her. Doesn’t hurt that she can blow.

Pete, would you please put your damn tongue in your mouth????!!!!!!!!!

Her openness really doesn’t bother me. She’s happy and wants to share. Whatever. I wish her the best. Much bigger fish to fry.
