    Not supporting anything drake.
The Cyrus are such a dysfunctional bunch. It’s scary.

Is it because of his misogyny? Just wondering. To be frank, I’ve been really hypocritical when it comes to him recently because God’s Plan/Nice for What/In My Feelings have been such bangers and their music videos have been dope too. But I feel bad about it.

He does seem like a real work in progress. Hopefully he figures it out!

Yet Drake never did the “keke” dance even once in the video ! Come on Drake !

Re: CHRISTOPHER ROBIN — What is it with Disney’s obsession with male midlife crisis? This movie shows Christopher Robin as a stressed-out middle-aged man ignoring his wife and kids.

Disney’s Broadway version of MARY POPPINS is not about Mary or Bert the Chimney Sweep or Jane & Michael Banks and it’s certainly not about a Spoonful of Sugar. It’s about the midlife crisis of the family patriarch, George Banks. His wife’s role (and her feminist/suffragette passion) is eliminated and Mary Poppins is basically a small supporting player in Act 2 — as poor, old Mr. Banks tries to discover where his life went wrong.

This is both indulgent and really, really odd…

We can all look forward to the next PETER PAN which will not concentrate on NEVER NEVER LAND but will follow the life of Mr. Darling who doesn’t notice his children have flown off, because he’s too busy wondering where his life went wrong. (In a surprise ending, he comes out and takes a timeshare in the Hamptons with Captain Hook…)

    • Veronica S. says:

Probably because most of their writing staff is likely white men reaching their mid-life crisis.

      • SJF says:

        BINGO!

(Although studio’s don’t have writing staffs like the old days. But they love scripts from white guys in that demographic)

lol i know i will get side eyed for this, but from what i know about lil xan he seems like a surprisingly decent guy. i’ll reserve judgment.

i always lumped him in with other soundcloud rappers (xxxtentacion, a really messed up sadistic person, or lil peep, a well-intentioned but sadly wreckless very addicted person who died of an overdose last year) but what turned me around is watching an interview where lil xan sincerely explained that he *hates* xanax, had major issues with abusing it, got clean, and is now vocally against it. he even wants to change his performing name.

something else that endeared me to xan — his producer has a *huge* tattoo of anne frank on his face (seriously, look it up) to remind himself to live his life and follow through on his artistic ambitions. like, it’s so ridiculous, but i truly find it sweet in a weird way. if you’re in that scene that sports face tattoos, it’s not a cool thing to walk around with anne frank on your face ahaha

idk if that’s interesting to anyone, but im trying not to judge a book by its cover, be it a country star that i might assume is a racist trump supporter or a 21-year-old rapper with face tattoos. (i actually don’t know that much about the guy, so let me know if i’m missing some info, i would be embarrassed if i was semi-caping him and missing a huge part of the story.)

You’re not wrong. Lil Xan is problematic like most young artists, but he is vocally anti-Xanax (the drug he’s named himself after) especially after Lil Peep overdosed on Xanax laced with Fentanyl. ANY opposition and message about this drug is seriously overdue especially in rap culture where it’s typically glorified. The “f*ck Xanax” movement is important.

I have a dog in this fight, my daughter was addicted and credits his music with helping her recovery. And I work at a music venue; I met Lil Peep about 5 weeks before he died – he was extremely sweet and reaching out for help, no doubt about it. He told me he was exhausted from his grueling tour and Xanax helped him unwind. I’m still upset I didn’t respond with any supportive words; at the time I had no idea how dangerous Xanax is or how severe his addiction was. Like most people, I thought it was a fairly innocuous prescription medication. I was wrong. Anyway, Lil Xan isn’t some huge savior but I appreciate his attempts at educating kids about the dangers of prescription drugs.

Tom Hardy can definitely act but he doesn’t look like Al Capone. He doesn’t even look like he could possibly have Italian ancestry. Tom’s not even from back East. I don’t know, but I’m not into the casting for this at all.

I’m super late to the game but maybe someone will see this and tell me if I’m crazy.. the dude that Noah Cyrus is dating looks like her older brother Trace right? Am I crazy? Lol

In his column today, Tom Sykes lists out the royals who have profitted from being royals or having royal relationships (he lists Andrew, Edward, Sohpie, the Middleton’s etc) and calls out the hypocrisy of the RF when their members profit from being royals just like the Markles are profiting from Meghan. He then advises Meghan to reach out to her dad and sort him out finacially. Read: https://www.thedailybeast.com/thomas-markle-proves-how-profitable-a-royal-relative-can-be?ref=home

    • Snazzy says:

ohhh that makes me sad. She shouldn’t have to support such a toxic and abusive individual

      • Pamm says:

Snazzy, over the last weeks Tom SKYES has consistently called out Thomas Markle for his BS but in this recent article, I observe that he’s aligning with other British writers who say Meghan should sort her father out financially. Was surprised at his sudden change of tone.

    • lucy2 says:

Why? She is not responsible for him, and he’s certainly done nothing to warrant her help.

  10. Zip says:

Why do rapper names always start with “Lil”? Does nobody want to be big anymore?

  11. Snowflake says:

I like the song and the video and how he used local people. But…he fathered a baby and doesnt take responsibility for the baby. Sounds like he’s only seen him a couple times. And he does all these romantic videos/songs. When he’s really a guy that likes to do strippers and porn stars. He made his bed, now he should lie in it. Take care of your kid Drake. And he’s also making himself look like a deadbeat Dad.

  12. Lilly says:

Can’t help it… love the song and video. Yes to Big Freedia.
