Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher welcome son Jacob Bryan Fisher

I was surprised by this announcement, because Carrie Underwood has laid so low recently that I forgot that she was pregnant. Carrie announced on Instagram that she and Mike welcomed their second child, son Jacob Bryan Fisher, on Monday. She shared some lovely photos of the baby including a cute photo of his older brother, Isaiah Michael, 3, holding him.

Carrie has gone through a lot of heartbreak, having suffered a facial injury and revealing last fall that she’d had three miscarriages in the past two years. This is great news for their family. People has some quotes from an insider about how happy they are and I’m also including Carrie’s Instagram quote below because it won’t embed for some reason.

“They are just so beyond overjoyed with their healthy baby,” a source tells PEOPLE.

“It has been a rough few years with the miscarriages and the accident and they didn’t even know if they’d get to this point.”

“They’re feeling truly blessed,” the source added. – From People

Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday…his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good… – From Instagram

That’s so nice for them! Mike shared a photo of little Jacob too. It must be the angle but look how tiny the baby’s head looks compared to his hand.

Congratulations to Carrie, Mike and Isaiah on their new arrival. Carrie will next be touring starting May 1st so she has a couple of months to spend with her newborn at home.

  2. Nikki says:

    Mazel tov!

  3. me says:

she looks great without make up. surprised to see she didnt at least have fake lash extensions at the birth jus tbecause she always wears such heavy make up

  4. LL says:

She looks younger and prettier without makeup. I’ll never understand why some like to cake it on.

    • Kristen says:

Because that’s how some people like to wear their makeup. Is that so hard to understand?

      • LL says:

Yes, it is. She looks like a drag queen half the time.

      • Valiantly Varnished says:

@LL It’s hard for me to understand women who insist on judging other women for wearing makeup or how they wear their makeup. It’s 2019. Do better.

      • LL says:

@Valiantly Are you lost? You’re on a celebrity gossip site called Celebitchy. If you want to be self-righteous and indignant over people “judging” or making fun of celebrities, you are in the wrong place. It’s 2019. Do better.

agreed about her looking younger and prettier. However, I wonder if her makeup is her “costume” that helps her stay incognito in daily life. I would never recognize her in the grocery store if she walked in without makeup and big hair, etc.

In a few years, we’re going to look back on this time in beauty with the blocky, drawn-on eyebrows and caked on contouring and be like, “WHAT WERE WE THINKING?” Just like we do now with the thin brows of the 90s, blue eyeshadow of the 80s and so on…

Why not judge it now? We’re going to judge it then!

  5. Sparkly says:

Wow, she’s wholly unrecognizable without makeup. I like her fresh face better. She looks so gorgeous! I’ve never really thought that about her before.

  6. Olive says:

surprised she’d post a make up free photo after all that talk of her disfiguring facial scar

    • Valiantly Varnished says:

Maybe considering that she had just given birth that was all she was thinking about. Just a wild guess.

      • nan says:

Oh please. She wouldn’t have bothered to post on social media at all if that were truly the case. So gullible.

    • billypilgrim says:

      @olive
When I look at picture, all I see is her life altering, “don’t look at me!”, hideous 1000 stitches scar.

Over her and whining about her face.

  7. DS9 says:

I thought she needed all that makeup now to hide her terrible scar….

And rest easy, commenters. I have no issue with how much makeup anyone wears. I’m typing this with a full, heavy face of what some might considered caked on makeup.

May 2019 bring this woman peace and self confidence.

Yay! What wonderful news for their family.Happy for them!

  9. Other Renee says:

She looks so beautiful without the makeup. The kids are adorable. That’s all I’ve got to say.

  10. Carol says:

Usually I see Carrie in magazine shoots, on stage, or on the red carpet-I would expect stage makeup in those areas. I have no idea if she typically wears that much makeup in real life, but she looks great after the birth of little Jacob. Congrats to the family!

  11. Loca says:

Beautiful baby gorgeous family. The baby is so little he looks so sweet. Congratulations to Carrie and her family. Beautiful mama.
